00:04whoops
00:08i got it
00:10the best drive of all time
00:12the patriots strive to win
00:13super bowl 36
00:15yeah I definitely don't put it as one of the greatest
00:18uh it's not
00:19clutch drives of all time
00:20how is this only number ten
00:22that's in super bowl
00:24how loper bowl have we ever had
00:27by a young quarterback that was
00:29a two touchdown underdog this feels
00:31like a personal grudge that somebody has
00:33against tom brady
00:37remember when
00:37john madden told them to take a knee
00:39and play for overtime
00:41now with no time out i think that the
00:43i think that the patriots
00:45with this field position you have to
00:47just run the clock out you have to play for
00:49overtime play for overtime
00:51i kind of agree
00:53in a 99% of the way situation
00:56that would be the correct
00:57thing to do
00:58what the patriots are doing right here i would play for
01:01overtime
01:02it's the correct thing to do if you don't have tom brady
01:05but fortunately the patriots did
01:07play for overtime
01:08play for overtime
01:09draw on the screen and everything
01:11and you're like
01:12wait a minute brady's got this
01:13the young bucks gonna do it
01:17the patriots have to come up and snap the ball down here
01:20brady to the line of scrimmage
01:22down to nine seconds left
01:23throws the ball to the ground
01:24with seven
01:25a day when tom brady
01:28just did
01:30gives me goosebumps
01:32it's the moment that you recognize there's
01:34something different and special about
01:36number twelve
01:39you are playing
01:41the rams double digit
01:42underdog you are
01:44absolutely zero chance
01:46the young upstart patriots could
01:48ever win
01:49tom brady ignored the naysayers
01:52he was going to take down the rams
01:54in regulation
01:56starts to run with it
01:57throws over the middle
01:57it is caught there after the 21 yard line
02:01over the middle it goes
02:02to 30 yard line
02:04not too crazy risky
02:06if we don't make it we don't make it
02:08but at least we're trying to make something happen
02:11dumps it off to the left
02:15it's the ultimate cliche
02:16but brady is just taking
02:18what the defense gives them
02:21fires down the field caught
02:22Troy Brown at the 40
02:23he's to the left of the
02:24seven yard line it goes
02:25the smart prudent patriot way
02:29you give us that
02:30we will take that
02:31and then we will beat you
02:3348 yard field goal attempt
02:34ah
02:35set to go
02:35ball down kick up
02:37kick is on the way
02:38it's good
02:39it's good
02:40let's go
02:42oh yeah
02:44five knots
02:45it's the beginning of the mystique of Tom Brady
02:47yeah baby
02:48here to go 12
02:49he's a man baby
02:51you are the man
02:52and you're a great guy
02:53imagine a little bit of this
02:54tom brady's ability
02:56to play that drive out exactly like the patriots wanted to
02:59was the moment i realized that tom brady was going to be
03:02an incredible superstar in his league
03:04this is the guy oh who you want
03:07driving in the last moments of the super bowl a clutch drive in his first year as a starter
03:15like this is a guy who's going to play his best at the very end
03:22Joe Montana is Tom Brady's hero and I'm sure a lot of it started on that day
03:27young he attended the 1981 NFC championship game maybe there was an osmosis transfer
03:34so much that I'm going here you go kid you're going to need this
03:37he may not remember it but Brady
03:41it's the Francisco 49ers and really spelled the end of the 70s cowboys
03:49end of the 70s cowboys
03:55the new year's 1980 spelled the end of the 1970s cowboys this was 1982
04:03we 49ers and now at candlestick park 49ers are finally going to do it
04:10and as a 49er fan this is everything this is it
04:20keeps rolling rolling rolling rolling rolling and he's being chased by three guys including two tall
04:32and I only see it in slow motion like it every time it's this beautiful slow motion spiral that
04:39Dwight Clark catches like tissue paper
04:40we have made Dwight Clark's catch the immortal moment
04:46but what we fail to remember is all of the decisions before that play
04:55the five minutes is just an absolute masterpiece of play calling
05:00what the cowboys were trying to do is you have a limited amount of time
05:03you're going to throw the ball
05:07on the drive the 49ers ran the football on three of the first five plays
05:15Bill Walsh saw nickel defense and did what you're supposed to do
05:20he ran the ball
05:23it was almost like watching a college class
05:26college class to operate a drive down the field
05:29Walsh knew exactly what play to call at the exact right time
05:33and the running play and the reverse to Solomon
05:36coming around inside the 45-40
05:39he is down to the 35-1 for a first down
05:43he was orchestrating this as well as any coach in NFL history
05:50there was a sideline throw by Montana on that drive
05:53he throws to the sideline
05:55and it is caught by Clark at the 25
05:59I don't know how he fit it in
06:01it looked like he was going to get intercepted
06:03a big throw and catch
06:05you knew he had that magic
06:07but you didn't know how much magic
06:12this exemplifies what the West Coast offense is
06:15and who Joe Montana is
06:16that drive that Montana started his career with
06:20is more impressive than the throw itself to Dwight Clark
06:26the number 8 clutch drive of all time
06:29the Giants strive to win Super Bowl XLVI
06:32I don't think
06:33how were these games so low
06:37how were these NFC championship and Super Bowl games so low
06:40spot where it should be
06:42just because it's a Super Bowl
06:45it's pretty much a Super Bowl winning drive
06:48it gets a team of Vince Lombardi trophy
06:50and it gets a quarterback
06:54so the Giants got the ball back
06:55under four minutes to go
06:56I remember the best play was the first play
07:00this is the drive
07:04Manning out of the shotgun
07:05Satin's back to fly the pocket
07:07he falls down the left sideline
07:09was he inbounced?
07:11yes!
07:12Manning him on the sideline!
07:14this is the best throw I've ever seen
07:16in person in my life
07:18it took the absolute perfect throw
07:21the absolute perfect catch
07:24think about the window
07:26that that throw had to get through
07:28to get into Manningham's hands
07:30and have him come down inbounds
07:34these are plays being made by receivers
07:37that you don't expect
07:38to make in these type of moments
07:40and to see that type of a throw
07:41and that type of catch from Mario Manningham
07:43that was big time
07:44that was big time
07:47what Eli Manning does as well as any
07:50he knew the defenses that the Patriots were playing
07:54and he knew before the snap
07:56where he's going
07:57just like in Super Bowl XLII
08:00Eli Manning was at his best
08:02and it mattered most
08:04the Super Bowl loss to the Giants in 2007
08:07was such a scar on the legacy of that team
08:11that I'm sure the Patriots players
08:13Patriots fans
08:14Patriots coaches
08:15started to watch that drive
08:17and said this cannot be happening again
08:19by the end of that drive
08:21you felt like
08:22the best the Patriots could do
08:24is let the Giants score
08:28you think the Patriots would let them score?
08:30uh, I doubt it
08:32hand off Bradshaw
08:33he runs up the middle
08:34he's screaming
08:35let's go
08:36let's go
08:37stops, turns
08:38and just sort of like
08:39scuba dives into the end zone
08:41he thought about stopping
08:42but he went in for the touchdown
08:44every child dreams
08:46of scoring the winning touchdown
08:48in the Super Bowl
08:49no one dreams of reluctantly
08:51falling into the end zone
08:52it was like a little anti-climactic
08:54should I score?
08:56should I not score?
08:57you know, we kill more time
08:58because of Tom Brady
08:59so that kind of takes away
09:01some of the luster of the drive
09:02that's why it's like
09:03it's fine
09:03this is a little lower
09:05on the list
09:05any drive that ends
09:07with a team
09:08allowing the other
09:09team to score a touchdown
09:10to win a Super Bowl
09:11it left you with
09:13a strange taste
09:18this is Chuck Thompson
09:20speaking to you
09:20from Yankee Stadium
09:21where the
09:22Baltimore Colts
09:23are playing
09:23in the first overtime period
09:25in the history
09:26of professional football
09:27I think that's low
09:34you're talking about
09:36a drive that
09:37defined an era
09:38defined a couple
09:39of great players
09:43and is still
09:44talked about
09:44as the greatest
09:45game ever played
09:46how is the drive
09:47that won the greatest
09:49game ever played
09:50come in seventh
09:54play score
09:5517-0
09:56United's never had
09:58any doubt
09:58he went into the
09:59huddle and said
10:00alright guys
10:00we got a long way to go
10:01let's go
10:02backed up on their
10:03own 20-yard line
10:05Johnny Unitas
10:06methodically drove
10:07the Colts
10:08on a 13-play
10:0980-yard drive
10:11inadvertently created
10:12the NFL's first
10:13two-minute drill
10:14that is a glimpse
10:17of the future
10:18of the NFL
10:19that happens in 1958
10:20this is where
10:21Unitas DeBerry
10:22really showed
10:23that you can have
10:24this timing
10:25between a quarterback
10:25and a receiver
10:26that you use the clock
10:27you watch the clock
10:28you methodically
10:29go down the field
10:29I interviewed
10:30Unitas once
10:31and asked him
10:32at any point
10:33in that
10:34do you get nervous
10:35and Unitas said
10:37if you know
10:38what you're doing
10:39you don't get nervous
10:42and Unitas knew
10:43what he was doing
10:44he knew exactly
10:45what he was doing
10:47Alan Amici's touchdown
10:48ended the 1958
10:50championship game
10:56but had it taken place
10:57today
10:57the greatest game
10:58ever played
10:59may have ended
11:00differently
11:01here the Colts are
11:02they've marched
11:03down the field
11:04they have the ball
11:05at the 10-yard line
11:05so all you need
11:06is a field goal
11:07to win it
11:07and they don't do that
11:09not risking the field goal
11:10Unitas hits his favorite
11:12target Berry
11:12and then you get down
11:14close to the goal line
11:15and everybody thinks
11:16okay now
11:16just punch it in
11:17and Unitas throws a pass
11:18people's reaction
11:19is oh my god
11:20why are you throwing
11:21a pass in that situation
11:22and there was Unitas
11:23just running the whole thing
11:25like a maestro
11:28saying this drive
11:29is number 7
11:30on this list
11:31is like saying
11:31the American Revolution
11:32is number 7
11:33on the list
11:34of American historical
11:35achievements
11:35I mean come on
11:36this is history here
11:38this was a monumental
11:40drive in the history
11:42of this league
11:42the Amici run
11:44is what we remember
11:45but the drive itself
11:49that's the most brilliant
11:50part of that entire game
11:51the most historic moment
11:53in football history
11:55it's one of the most
11:56significant drives
11:57in the history of football
11:58but is it clutch?
11:59it was clutch
12:07the catch heard
12:09around David Tyree's helmet
12:10only at sex
12:11I don't understand that one
12:13what a Super Bowl
12:14this has been
12:15can the Giants do it
12:16they're down by 4
12:17they've got to go
12:1883 yards
12:19in 239
12:22Super Bowl 42
12:23I went
12:24Patriot jersey on
12:25and you're watching
12:28this horrible
12:29you know
12:30it's like a train
12:31hitting you
12:32at 3 miles per hour
12:33and you're waiting
12:34to get hit by it
12:35because you've seen
12:36the course of events
12:37happen
12:37and then all of a sudden
12:39that catch on the helmet
12:41and it is
12:42hot
12:43how in the world
12:44did he do that?
12:45and we're like
12:45oh my god
12:46we're gonna lose
12:47to New York
12:56of course
12:57of course
12:58Boston starts winning
12:59World Series
13:01against
13:01and they start beating
13:03the Yankees
13:04and then the Patriots
13:05go and lose
13:06to the Giants
13:09we don't stand
13:10a chance
13:11Michael Stragan
13:12was being sarcastic
13:13but not many
13:14gave the Giants
13:15a chance
13:16against the 18-0 Patriots
13:17especially when
13:18New York trailed
13:19late in fourth quarter
13:21it was 14-10
13:23a minute to go
13:24Giants are in
13:25their own territory
13:26they would have won it
13:27if they could have
13:27just stopped
13:28a 3rd and 5 miracle
13:30that 3rd and 5 miracle
13:32turned out to be
13:33one of the greatest plays
13:34in Super Bowl history
13:36Manny
13:36back to throw
13:37the rush
13:38gonna be hit
13:39gonna be sacked
13:40no
13:41no
13:42he got out of it
13:42now he fires downfield
13:44and it is
13:45caught
13:46caught
13:48I mean the Tyree catch
13:49is truly a miracle
13:51we've never seen that before
13:53and we've never seen that since
13:54hey this is
13:55baritale stuff
13:55only God kind of stuff
13:57if people want to know
13:59how to trigger me
13:59they'll just take the football
14:00and they'll hold it up
14:01by the side of their head
14:02and I'll just
14:04I can't do
14:05I can't do it
14:05can we stop
14:06fuck it
14:09well obviously
14:10the Tyree play
14:11is the play
14:12from Super Bowl 42
14:13but what people
14:15don't remember
14:16is that
14:17at the very beginning
14:18of the drive
14:19Imani Toomer
14:20catches a pass
14:21for 9 and a half yards
14:22and it looks like
14:23the Giants got a bad spot
14:24so the Giants
14:25have to go for it
14:26on 4th and 1
14:27and if Brandon Jacobs
14:29doesn't get the first down
14:30ball game over
14:31that's game over
14:32this is the ball game
14:33hand off Jacob
14:34runs right
14:35dodges ahead
14:36he's got the first down
14:37well I remember
14:37a key 3rd down
14:38in that drive
14:39Steve Smith
14:40made a catch
14:41on the sideline
14:42so the Giants
14:43to win that game
14:44had a few plays
14:45go their way
14:46more than a few plays
14:47go their way
14:50asante Samuel
14:51could have finished
14:52that off for them
14:53and then
14:53he didn't
14:54he dropped it
14:56he was too worried
14:57about trying to keep
14:58his feet inbounds
15:01and just didn't
15:03put his hands
15:03on the ball
15:04second down
15:05and 5
15:05Manning
15:07hit
15:07as he let it go
15:08and asante
15:09close to a game
15:11ending interception
15:12Eli Manning
15:13was expecting
15:14something else
15:15on the outside
15:16they're fortunate
15:16that Samuel
15:17didn't intercept
15:18that one
15:18asante Samuel
15:20could have ended
15:21that drive
15:22at that point
15:23and
15:24we wouldn't be
15:25talking about Tyree
15:26we'd be talking
15:27about the 19-0 Patriots
15:29but that's football
15:34I bet you
15:35there's a strong
15:36contingent of people
15:37that think that
15:38the David Tyree
15:39helmet catch
15:40was either
15:40A. a touchdown
15:41or B.
15:42the last play
15:43of the game
15:43but it wasn't
15:45John
15:45after the helmet
15:47catch
15:47the Giants
15:48were still
15:48down four
15:49and needed
15:50a touchdown
15:50to capture
15:51their third
15:52Super Bowl title
15:53the touchdown
15:54pass to
15:54Plaxico Burris
15:55that throw
15:56was one of the
15:57best throws
15:57I've ever seen
15:58Eli Manning
15:59make in a game
16:00and it came
16:01in a pressure
16:01situation
16:02on a game
16:03winning drive
16:04in the Super Bowl
16:06for 35 seconds
16:07for 35 seconds
16:08to go
16:08and the Giants
16:08regain the lead
16:09Manning to Burris
16:11I'm sure
16:12I'm sure
16:12I'm sure
16:12I'm sure
16:12but let's be honest
16:16the play of the game
16:17was the Tyree catch
16:18that drive
16:19that moment
16:20Super Bowl history
16:21NFL history
16:22lives forever
16:23and it's not just
16:24the helmet catch
16:25it's everything
16:26that went through it
16:27it's one of the
16:27great drives of all time
16:28it has everything
16:29you could possibly want
16:31the number 5
16:32clutch drive
16:33of all time
16:34the 49ers drive
16:35to win Super Bowl
16:37Bowl 23
16:38greatest clutch drive
16:40that I've witnessed
16:41would have been
16:43was it the 1988
16:45Super Bowl
16:45with Joe Montana
16:46against the Bengals
16:47the 49ers have
16:49a long way to go
16:50Montana
16:51on first down
16:52throw it over the middle
16:53completes it to Craig
16:5495 yard drive
16:5695 yards
16:58in a Super Bowl
17:00way that there's
17:01like driving 90 yards
17:03you're just sitting back
17:04and like
17:04man this guy's making
17:05it look easy
17:06and at the end of that
17:08ball game
17:08Joe Montana
17:09hits John Taylor
17:10on a slam route
17:11to the left
17:13that's the throw
17:13Montana
17:14steps up
17:15throws
17:15and I was just like
17:21wow
17:22that's what I'm
17:23trying to be like
17:29before the drive
17:30even started
17:31Joe Montana
17:31showed why he's
17:32known as
17:33Joe Cool
17:35the ultimate way
17:36to show
17:36just how cool
17:37under pressure
17:38that Joe Montana
17:39is the fact that
17:40they're down three
17:41less than four minutes
17:43to play
17:43and instead of
17:44thinking about
17:45I'm going to go
17:4592 yards
17:46it is
17:47hey look
17:48there's John Candy
17:50in the stands
17:50you know there's
17:51certain things
17:52I don't mean to be
17:52a curmudgeon
17:53but the Joe Montana
17:55spotting John Candy
17:56and that this is
17:57somehow provide
17:58some insight
17:59into how cool
18:00Joe Cool was
18:00alright it's enough
18:01already
18:01right
18:04so they said
18:06that you know
18:07Joe Cool
18:07comes out to the huddle
18:08he's joking around
18:09it's John Candy
18:10sitting over there
18:11everybody's loose
18:13and then he immediately
18:15starts rattling
18:16off passes
18:17he hits Roger Craig
18:19eight yards
18:20then he hits Rice
18:21on a pass
18:22Joe throws
18:22for Rice
18:23he has it
18:24then he hits Rice
18:25again 17 yards
18:26Montana trying to drive
18:28him the length
18:29of the field here
18:29Rice again
18:3127 yards
18:32Montana throws
18:33over the middle
18:33a five-game
18:34for Rice
18:34Rice into the finish
18:36he's down
18:37to the ninth
18:37then he hits Craig
18:39again to get down
18:40to the 10-yard line
18:41I mean
18:41Montana just shredded
18:42them to death
18:43he goes down the field
18:44without making a mistake
18:45he uses almost
18:47every second
18:48of the clock
18:49and
18:50Montana looks off
18:51Jerry Rice
18:52for the game-winning
18:53touchdown
18:53to throw to
18:54John Taylor
18:58they went 92 yards
19:01in 11 plays
19:04I thought it was 95
19:07I'm not even sure
19:08if it's the best
19:09Montana drive
19:10the drive leading
19:11to the catch
19:11was pretty good
19:12to me
19:13in this wonderful
19:14career of Joe Montana
19:15if you think of
19:17one drive
19:18this is absolutely
19:19the tape you roll
19:20the Super Bowl
19:2123 against the
19:22Bengals
19:22that's another
19:23great throw
19:23by Montana
19:24great throw
19:26I think a little
19:27bit of the
19:28clutch factor
19:29goes away
19:29when you realize
19:30this was just
19:30routine for them
19:31at this point
19:32that drives
19:33the epitome
19:33Walsh
19:34Joe Montana
19:35era
19:35nothing better
19:37it's number one
19:38as far as I'm
19:39concerned
19:4660 years ago
19:47and his name
19:49is Lombardi
19:52Vincent is there
19:53and he's like
19:53everyone
19:54do you know
19:54the gipper
19:55they're like
19:55we don't know
19:55the gipper
19:56so don't
19:57okay
19:57don't win one
19:57for the gipper
19:58win one
19:59for the frostbite
20:00that is on your
20:00legs and feet
20:01because if we do
20:02not in this game
20:03everyone will turn
20:04into a white walker
20:06and they did it
20:10a lot of people
20:11argue
20:11that may be
20:12the greatest game
20:13ever played
20:13because you'll
20:14never find
20:15conditions worse
20:16than that
20:17you'll never
20:18find the stake
20:27if that's the case
20:29then you can argue
20:30that maybe that drive
20:31was the greatest
20:32drive of all time
20:46on the coldest
20:47new year's eve
20:48in the cold
20:49cold history
20:50of green bay
20:50the packers
20:52met the dallas
20:52cowboys
20:53at the eastern
20:54conference
20:54for the championship
20:55of the national
20:56football league
20:57i remember
20:58the morning of
20:59that game
20:59getting a wake
21:00up call
21:00and the ladies
21:01said good morning
21:02mr sable
21:02the sun is out
21:04the wind is out
21:05of the north
21:05it's 16 degrees
21:07below zero
21:08and saying
21:09that the dallas
21:10cowboys were
21:11considered eastern
21:12conference
21:14dallas is way
21:16west of anything
21:17in wisconsin
21:20have a nice day
21:22and that's the way
21:24the ulster
21:24in the day
21:27frigid temperatures
21:29bart star and the
21:30packers heated up
21:31driving 68 yards
21:33on 12 plays
21:34on one of the
21:35coldest and most
21:36clutch drives
21:37in nfl
21:39the packers launched
21:41a last second drive
21:42kind of a march
21:43that has become
21:44their trademark
21:45i think they really
21:46believe that
21:47this is what we
21:48were built for
21:49this situation
21:50these kinds of
21:51conditions
21:52and this moment
21:53and i can't explain
21:55to you how we're
21:55going to do it
21:56i don't know exactly
21:57what plays we're
21:58going to do
21:58but i know how
21:59it's going to end
22:00and it's going to end
22:01with us winning the game
22:01you can't talk
22:03the clock
22:07and the brave
22:08dallas defense
22:09were all that
22:10stood between
22:11the packers
22:11and the impossible
22:13dream
22:13think about
22:15the stones
22:16it takes
22:16to make that
22:17play call
22:18the third down
22:1916 seconds left
22:21and no
22:25timeouts
22:25if he falls
22:27short of the goal
22:27line
22:28the packers lose
22:28that football game
22:29this is win or lose
22:34what a jedi moment
22:36just like you know
22:37what guess what guys
22:38we're going to run
22:39it to the right
22:40just kidding
22:41i'm going to smash
22:42this up the middle
22:42myself and win the game
22:44beautiful
22:46there have been more
22:46impressive drives
22:47i think that was a
22:48great game
22:49but as far as the drive
22:51i'd put it a little
22:52lower
22:52the packers find a way
22:54to go down the field
22:55to ice
22:56the cowboys
22:58in the ice bowl
22:59it's an amazing drive
23:00if i ever had to tell
23:02anybody what the green
23:04bay packers of my era
23:05were all about
23:06i'd say go back and
23:07watch that drive
23:08in the ice bowl
23:09the execution of
23:12everybody on the field
23:13was just absolutely
23:15sensational
23:15how about that
23:17we've never seen
23:18a betting fight
23:19this one
23:19number three
23:20plus drive of all time
23:22the drive
23:23how can the drive
23:24run the end of the
23:25three
23:25so you have a category
23:27called greatest drives
23:29and a play called
23:31the drive
23:32and that's not
23:33number one
23:34like it's right there
23:35it's like in the name
23:36of the top ten title
23:38it's called the drive
23:39it has to be number one
23:40how can you have the drive
23:41not be number one
23:42when we're talking about drives
23:43the drive by
23:44the only people who care
23:50about that are people
23:51in cleveland and denver
23:52the giant fans are like
23:53yeah drive
23:54what drive
23:55yeah
23:56thanks for getting the drive
23:57done
23:58because we beat you up
23:59in a super bowl
24:02at 98 yards
24:03our number three
24:04clutch drive
24:05is the longest
24:06on our list
24:07here's the key
24:09it was a drive
24:10you're talking
24:11a 15 play
24:1398 yard drive
24:15in five minutes
24:16and two seconds
24:17at the end of the
24:18fourth quarter
24:18the most pivotal time
24:19the browns never
24:20force a fourth down
24:22I mean it almost
24:23gets hurt
24:25in its ability
24:25to be called a clutch
24:26because it seemed
24:27too easy
24:27I mean he just drove
24:29down the field
24:30methodically
24:30I've never seen
24:32anything like it
24:32touchdown
24:3498 and a half
24:35yard drive
24:38you know what I remember
24:39from the drive
24:41third and 18
24:43John Elway
24:44got sacked
24:45sacked at the
24:4648 yard line
24:47the cleveland crowd
24:49was going nuts
24:49they thought they were
24:50going to the super bowl
24:51they thought it was done
24:52super bowl
24:53and the next play
24:54threw a 20 yard
24:55rifle shot to mark
24:56jackson wide open
24:56in the middle field
24:57caught mark jackson
24:59first down at the
24:59cleveland 27 yard line
25:01that's what I remember
25:02about the drive
25:04it's insane
25:05there's plenty of reasons
25:07john elway is wearing
25:08a gold jacket
25:09and is in the hall of fame
25:10but the drive I think
25:11meant maybe as much
25:13to john elway's legacy
25:14as any play he ever made
25:15we walked in knowing
25:17that it was a do or die
25:18situation
25:18there was nothing else
25:19it either go to the
25:20super bowl
25:21we're going home
25:21and we got a chance
25:22to do it on this drive
25:23john elway went 6 of 9
25:25for 78 yards
25:27and he ran twice
25:29for 20 yards
25:3078 plus 20
25:32is the 98
25:33he accounted for all of it
25:35that's what made
25:36john elway
25:37who john elway is
25:38yeah well
25:39john elway
25:40he's one of the best
25:41at football
25:42you can ask anybody
25:43you put that load
25:45squarely on the shoulders
25:46of the big player
25:48elway
25:49leads the broncos
25:5198 yards
25:53i wouldn't even
25:54let him in the stadium
25:55that day
25:56not if you want to
25:58win at football
26:03for me the drive
26:04could easily be number one
26:05it's one of the most
26:07iconic memories
26:08situations
26:09plays
26:10moments in nfl history
26:12and also it's called
26:12the drive
26:13what a great drive
26:14merlin
26:1598 yards
26:16superb drive
26:17every week in the nfl
26:18there are drives
26:19and there have been
26:19a million drives
26:20but you talk about
26:21the drive
26:22that was the drive
26:23number two
26:24club drive
26:25of all time
26:26the steelers drive
26:27to win super bowl
26:2843
26:29but what's better
26:30the throw
26:31or the catch
26:32in my play
26:32the catch
26:33catch is the
26:34i mean like
26:34well man
26:36now you got me thinking
26:37the catch is better
26:38than the throw
26:38i think the throw
26:40the rothsberger made
26:41to me is equally amazing
26:42no i'm still gonna say
26:44the catch
26:44you're trying to fit
26:45that ball
26:45through a mail slide
26:47degree of difficulty
26:48santonio holmes
26:4910
26:49the throw
26:50from big ben
26:515
26:53well damon
26:54even if you weren't
26:56blown away
26:56by the throw
26:57you had to be
26:58impressed
26:59with the drive
27:00big ben orchestrated
27:01in super bowl
27:0243
27:08a larry fitzgerald
27:10touchdown
27:10gave the cardinals
27:11the lead
27:12and left the steelers
27:14with two and a half
27:14minutes
27:15to win the super bowl
27:17i don't know how
27:18you get your composure
27:19after that play
27:21and you march
27:22down the field
27:23time to be great
27:25time to be great
27:26first completion
27:27on the drive
27:28is such a defining
27:29play
27:33ben roethlisberger
27:34escapes pressure
27:36could have been
27:37sacked
27:39he gets the ball
27:40to santonio holmes
27:41they start moving
27:42forward
27:43when he got that
27:44drive started
27:44you could just
27:46sense something
27:46special was going
27:47to happen
27:49ben roethlisberger
27:51is told in the
27:52huddle by santonio
27:53holmes
27:53just keep throwing
27:54it to me man
28:00and roethlisberger goes
28:02okay
28:06it's a solid game plan
28:08just throw to
28:09santonio holmes
28:11and what's amazing
28:13is that the cardinals
28:13had no answer for
28:15santonio the entire
28:16drive
28:16ben roethlisberger
28:17telegraphs every
28:18pass
28:19to santonio
28:20that one's good
28:20to santonio
28:21this one's good
28:21to santonio
28:23santonio holmes
28:24is uncontainable
28:27undefendable
28:27in that moment
28:29somebody who's
28:30that hot
28:31you just keep
28:32going back
28:32to the well
28:33and they did
28:34for one of the
28:34grand moments
28:35in the game's
28:36history
28:39that was like
28:39one of the
28:40greatest drives
28:41i ever saw
28:42and that
28:42that pass
28:43was so beautiful
28:44he scrambles
28:45around
28:46throws it
28:46back corner
28:47of the end zone
28:48santonio
28:48with a touchdown
28:52feet dangling
28:53the sideline
28:54in the corner
28:55he just
28:56rips that
28:57pass
28:57about this
28:59big of a
29:00window
29:00to fit it
29:01in
29:01and santonio
29:03holmes
29:03needs to
29:05catch it
29:05with his
29:06fingertips
29:08get his
29:09toes down
29:10with three
29:11other defenders
29:12in the area
29:13when he lets
29:14that ball go
29:15he's got
29:15almost nowhere
29:17to put it
29:17and holmes
29:18has almost
29:19got nowhere
29:19to go
29:26that's how
29:27you beat
29:27great
29:28that's how
29:29you beat
29:29great
29:30i was stunned
29:31that he was able
29:32to basically
29:33take over an
29:34entire drive
29:34in a super bowl
29:35this might be
29:37the greatest
29:38clutch drive
29:39by any
29:40non-quarterback
29:41in nfl
29:42history
30:00i'm thinking
30:01to myself
30:01wow
30:02they're not
30:03only losing
30:04they're getting
30:04blown out
30:06it's insane
30:08what a catch
30:10that will live
30:11in super bowl
30:12history right
30:13there
30:13this is
30:14great
30:16there's always
30:16that one
30:17catch
30:17you know
30:18what i'm saying
30:19it's a good run
30:20fun team to watch
30:21i'm happy we got
30:22to the super bowl
30:23and then all of a
30:24sudden
30:24that's like
30:25time for
30:26harder
30:26time for
30:26everything
30:28everything we
30:28got
30:37at that point
30:38in the game
30:39the patriots
30:39had already
30:40come back
30:40so i'm like
30:42we're winning
30:42this game
30:43there's no
30:43they're the
30:44patriots
30:44this is what
30:45they do
30:48gotta believe
30:49gotta believe
30:51boys
30:52the first test
30:53of faith
30:54happened on
30:55a third and
30:55ten
30:56from their
30:56home nine
30:57yard line
30:58hogan makes
30:58the grab
30:59at the 25
31:00wow
31:02our quarterback
31:02is in a groove
31:04everything they
31:05did in that
31:05fourth quarter
31:06worked
31:13that's one of
31:14those moments
31:15that it's a
31:16miracle moment
31:16you know
31:17you never should
31:17be able to
31:18make that catch
31:18but all luck
31:19goes your way
31:20just changes
31:21the entire game
31:23it was a
31:23fantastic grab
31:24the only game
31:25on this list
31:26i was old enough
31:26to watch
31:27and how
31:28edelman caught

32:22they had the
32:23presence of mind
32:24to score
32:25as fast as
