00:30And now, here he is,
00:34Jimmy Fallon!
00:38Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
00:56Come on, I love it!
01:00Oh.
01:03That's what I'm talking about.
01:04Hi! Thank you very much.
01:06Enjoy yourself. Enjoy yourself.
01:08Welcome, everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome
01:10to The Tonight Show. This is it.
01:13You made it. Thank you for being here.
01:16Well, guys, it was a cold, wet day here in New York City,
01:20wasn't it?
01:21Nothing says New York like the smell of damp Times Square Elmo.
01:25Mmm.
01:25Mmm.
01:27It's so wet in New York City this morning.
01:29On my way to work, I saw a Wall Street stockbroker
01:31floating on a door with Zoran Mamdani.
01:34Oi!
01:36Yeah, everyone hates this weather.
01:38In fact, today, Trump launched a surprise attack
01:40on the leader of the Weather Channel.
01:42Crazy.
01:44Yeah, guys, of course, the big story continues to be Iran,
01:47as we're in day four of what the Pentagon is officially calling
01:51Operation, uh, Now What?
01:54But today, President Trump took questions in public
01:57for the first time since he attacked Iran,
01:59and he admitted he has no plan for who should take over
02:02the country.
02:03Apparently, he's very close to listening on a Facebook
02:05marketplace.
02:07Iran, slightly damaged, serious offers only.
02:14I'm a little concerned.
02:15Today, Trump went around the room and said,
02:16When I throw you this koosh ball, yell out the best idea
02:19for Supreme Leader.
02:20Let's go.
02:22But Trump said he attacked Iran because he believed that
02:24they were going to attack first.
02:26Then he was like, And that's why I'm taking Greenland
02:28before they take us.
02:31Yet, there's a lot of confusion about Trump's plan
02:33in the Middle East, so today, the President put out
02:35a helpful video explaining exactly what's going on.
02:38Watch this.
02:38Hello, America.
02:39It's me, President Trump, and don't worry.
02:41We have a very clear path forward.
02:44A lot of people have asked me what I'm doing, and it's obvious.
02:48Incapacitating, dangerous kingdoms.
02:51We have an incredible, beautiful plan that I like to call
02:55Networks of Pivotal Logistics and Navigation.
03:00Remember, at the end of the day, this is all about establishing
03:03permanent safety, then ensuring international negotiations.
03:09Bye.
03:11Very helpful.
03:14Oh, and people are talking about this.
03:18Trump was just spotted with a strange rash on his neck.
03:21Take a look at this.
03:22Ew.
03:24Yeah, it's that wonderful time of year when the President's skin
03:27turns from orange to red.
03:31Hey, honey, you want to go neck-peeping this week?
03:35Some entertainment news.
03:37The season of The Pit on HBO is getting over 12 million
03:39views per episode.
03:41Yeah, that's pretty huge.
03:43And this week's episode looks especially intense,
03:46so check out the promo they just released.
03:48This week on an all-new episode of The Pit,
03:51the doctors face their greatest challenge yet,
03:54an outbreak like they've never seen before.
03:57It's Trump's neck rash.
03:59Can they pinpoint the problem?
04:01It gets dry, and it burns.
04:03And how will he pay for it?
04:05Obamacare.
04:06It's The Pit.
04:07Only on HBO.
04:08Now owned by Netflix and or Paramount, maybe.
04:11I don't know what's going on with that.
04:13I never know.
04:16Well, get this.
04:17A new investigation found that over 100 chemicals
04:20of unknown safety were secretly added to the U.S. food supply.
04:24That story again.
04:26The McRib is back.
04:29Do you guys see this?
04:30Apparently, cursive handwriting is making a comeback.
04:33Oh, and...
04:33Hey, hey, Jimmy.
04:34Yeah, what's up, Tariq?
04:36I just wanted to say that I like your gold bracelet.
04:39Oh, this? Oh, thanks. Yeah, appreciate it.
04:41I just got it.
04:42Don't you wish you had, like, a gold necklace to go with it?
04:45Of course I do, Tariq, but we're in the middle of the show,
04:49so where am I going to find a gold necklace?
04:55Alyssa Liu!
04:57What are you talking about?
04:59Look at the love.
05:01A standing ovation. Alyssa Liu!
05:03That's what I'm talking about!
05:07My buds!
05:10Yes!
05:16Alyssa, what...
05:19They love you.
05:21Alyssa, what are you doing here?
05:24I heard you needed some gold.
05:26Oh, you're gonna give me your gold medal?
05:29Oh, I've got something even better for you.
05:32Go for it. Put it on me.
05:37Hey, thanks.
05:38I feel like a winner.
05:41Yeah.
05:42Not bad. Alyssa Liu, everybody!
05:44Who won and only?

07:48It was a big night for us, which means it's time for the Tonight Show One Shot Jackpot.
07:52Here we go.
07:53Let's do it.
07:55Tonight Show One Shot Jackpot!
08:04Every week since the start of the NBA season, we've had one lucky audience member take
08:09a half-court basketball shot and try to win a cash prize.
08:13Each week, we've added $1,000 to the jackpot if they didn't make it, which means tonight's
08:18prize is actually $21,000.
08:25Wow.
08:26This is exciting.
08:27Now, let's see who's taking the shot.
08:29It's gonna happen tonight.
08:30I know it's gonna happen.
08:31And you guys have to take the shot, okay?
08:33Come on.
08:34In this basketball, our number is representing the seats in our audience.
08:38Everyone, look at your seat number.
08:39If I pick your number, I need you to jump up, let us know where you are, and come on
08:43down
08:44here.
08:44Quest, can I get a drum roll, please?
08:47Come on.
08:47Who wants it?
08:48You can do this.
08:50Somebody's like, I don't want this.
08:53I'm talking about 408.
09:01Right here.
09:02Yeah!
09:03Come on down!
09:06Yes!
09:08Yes!
09:11How are you doing?
09:12How are you?
09:13How are you?
09:14I'm doing great.

09:19That's right!
09:20Come on!
09:20New Jersey!
09:22Thank you for being here.
09:24Do you play basketball?
09:25No.
09:26Okay.
09:27What sports do you play?
09:28Anything similar to basketball?
09:29No, none.
09:30Okay.
09:31Then this is gonna be very exciting if you do make it.
09:34Yes, if I make it.
09:35Yes, you will when you make it.
09:36Okay, yeah.
09:37Yeah, that's the attitude.
09:38Come on, look at me.
09:38Look at me.
09:39Look at me.
09:39No, look at me.
09:40Okay, I'm sorry.
09:41You're going to do this.
09:42I hope so.
09:43Yes, I have it.
09:44I got it.
09:45Woo!
09:47What would you do with the money if you win?
09:50Probably pay for school.
09:52Yeah!
09:52That's what everyone's gonna do.
09:53Yeah.
09:54All right, you're gonna get one half-court shot.
09:56If you make the basket, you win $21,000.
09:59Let's get you into position.
10:00Come on over, bud.
10:02Ooh!
10:03We got this.
10:04All right, you got this right here, bud.
10:06Here you go.
10:07Is your basketball here?
10:08All right, you have to be behind the line.
10:10Okay?
10:12You have an option, though, okay?
10:13You have an option.
10:14You can either take the half-court shot for $21,000,
10:18or you can take a closer shot over there for $5,000.
10:22But you'll have to do it while wearing the hashtag
10:24the panda mascot head.
10:26Oh, my God.
10:27What would you want to do?
10:29You want to try for $21,000 all the way from here,
10:31or from that spot right there with the panda head on?
10:35I think I would rather try from there.
10:37Let's go.
10:38Come on.
10:40Smart move.
10:41If you've never played any sport before...
10:44There you go.
10:46Yeah, fantastic.
10:48Can you see me?
10:50You can see.
10:50All right, you can dribble.
10:52Whatever.
10:52I think you have...
10:53Drum roll, please.
10:54Let's go.
10:54Come on.
10:55You got this.
11:04Oh, man.
11:06Whoa.
11:07That was the closest anyone's gotten to doing it.
11:11You were amazing.
11:12And you looked cool doing it.
11:14It was really cool.
11:15You did, right?
11:16Yes.
11:16Are you proud of yourself?
11:17Yes, yes.
11:18Okay.
11:18Also, by the way, no one goes home empty-handed.
11:20You will be going home with this Tonight Show sweatshirt autographed and dated with me.
11:25Says the message, you were here.
11:27That's for you.
11:28Thank you so much.
11:28Come on.
11:28You're the best.
11:29Bye, man.
11:30Thank you for being here.
11:31Thanks for playing.
11:32We'll be right back with Michael Strahan, everyone.
11:38Have you ever watched something and you go, I could do that, maybe?
11:41Oh, yeah.
11:42I can do the curling.
11:44Yeah, right?
11:44We can do that.
11:45Next time, we'll play around with that.
11:46In hockey, I can do that because I already don't have teeth.
11:59Our first guest is a co-anchor on Good Morning America and NFL Hall.
12:04of Famer and a successful entrepreneur.
12:06His clothing line, Collection by Michael Strahan, is available now.
12:10He also executive produced the new Prime video documentary,
12:13The Future is Flag.
12:15Please welcome legend Michael Strahan!
12:38Hello, everybody.
12:40Welcome back.
12:41They love you.
12:41We love you.
12:42This is your 22nd appearance on our show.
12:44Yeah.
12:45Yeah.
12:45We love you.
12:46I'm so thankful.
12:49And I appreciate the love from the guy.
12:51The music has changed.
12:52It used to be the space between.
12:54I'm making fun of my teeth the first time.
12:56And now it's outstanding.
12:58I appreciate that.
12:59By who?
13:00The Gap Band, man.
13:01The Gap Band.
13:02I got it.
13:04That is rude.
13:05That is rude.
13:06That is so rude.
13:07He's outstanding.
13:10You didn't play that for Jack Hughes when he was missing it.
13:13Because they're afraid of him, not afraid of me.
13:16Unbelievable.
13:17I'm wearing, by the way, what you gave me to celebrate your 21st appearance.
13:21This is Michael Strahan right now.
13:23You look great, by the way.
13:24Look at this.
13:24Can we zoom in on this?
13:27Some of our best.
13:27We'll do a little custom lining for you, man.
13:29See what I'm talking about?
13:30Come on, bud.
13:31And some of our times together on the show.
13:33You're the best.
13:34I appreciate that, man.
13:36My pleasure.
13:36I want to talk to you about a bunch of things.
13:38First off, we had Alyssa Liu.
13:40Oh, congratulations.
13:41She's amazing.
13:44Did you watch the Olympics?
13:45Are you a fan of sports besides football?
13:47Absolutely.
13:48Everything.
13:48I watched the Olympics.
13:49How could you not?
13:50Yeah.
13:50It was really amazing.
13:51She was amazing.
13:53I just don't understand, like, how do you even get started in some of the sports?
13:57Like, the luge thing, right?
13:59Yeah.
13:59At what point do you like, oh, yeah, I'm gonna put on this thing and I'm gonna go down face
14:02-first,
14:03down ice at 60 miles per hour.
14:04When do your parents say, that ain't a good idea?
14:06Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:07How do you?
14:08Yeah, like, your parents are like, oh, yeah, son, let's do that.
14:10They don't want you if your parents say that.
14:12No.
14:13They don't want you.
14:14But I am, like, watching that going, it's really amazing.
14:17How do they even discover it?
14:18Yeah.
14:19But people, I love the competition of it.
14:21I love the fact you're playing for your country or you're competing for your country.
14:25Yeah.
14:25But I also love the camaraderie when you win or you don't.
14:28When everybody still comes together and shows that the world or the bigger place and just
14:31one environment that we live in, we all need to work together and be together and,
14:35like, just enjoy sports for what it is.
14:36That's what I'm talking about.
14:37That's what I thought, too.
14:39That was it.
14:39We just love and respect for all the countries.
14:42Yeah.
14:42Do you ever watch something and you go, I could do that, maybe?
14:46Oh, yeah.
14:47Curling?
14:48Curling, I could do.
14:49I feel I could do curling.
14:54Yeah.
14:55You know what I'm saying about that?
14:55You got to bend, like, you got to do stuff like that.
14:58Yeah, and you do that, and yeah.
15:00I could do that.
15:00I could do that, too.
15:01I think.
15:01I think, but why can't we do it?
15:04Nothing on the skis.
15:06Nothing on the snowboard.
15:08No.
15:09Nothing.
15:09Like, I see this cross-country skiing.
15:11Yeah.
15:12And then they do that cross, and then they got to stop, and they got to shoot.
15:14They got to, like, just figure out one thing to do well.
15:17Yeah, exactly.
15:18All those three things.
15:19But I can do the curling.
15:21Yeah, right?
15:22We can do that.
15:22Next time, we'll play around with that.
15:24And hockey, I can do that, because I already don't have teeth.
15:28We didn't get to talk.
15:29What did you think of the Super Bowl?
15:30Super Bowl with, um...
15:32Seattle.
15:33I expected Seattle to win.
15:35Yeah.
15:36Well, one fan.
15:37We allow one person from Seattle in every show.
15:40But I didn't expect it to be as, you know, I didn't expect them to dominate that much.
15:44I guess the buildup, I thought the Patriots were going to play a little bit better.
15:47Yeah.
15:48And the game itself wasn't the most exciting game, unless you like defense, which I do.
15:52But I was happy for Seattle.
15:53Sam Darnold, who was here in New York, five teams in, what, eight years.
15:57Everybody threw him away.
15:59I cast him aside and the way he came back and performed.
16:01I was happy for him.
16:02Leonard Williams and all these other guys who played for the Giants.
16:06And we let him go.
16:08But, yeah, I was happy for those guys.
16:09Yeah, exactly.
16:10And Bad Bunny?
16:12Bad Bunny.
16:16That was like a...
16:18That was like watching a movie.
16:20By the way, whoever directed that.
16:21Fantastic.
16:21That was...
16:22I couldn't believe that was live.
16:24Yeah.
16:24I'm like, yo, he was like...
16:25He was great, man.
16:26And, like, I'm watching it and he's like walking through the neighborhood and braiding hair.
16:31Yes.
16:32And they're, like, eating the food.
16:33I'm like, man, Latin people have the best life.
16:36Like, you just have a good time.
16:37Yeah, it's fun.
16:38You wake up and walk out the front door.
16:40And I don't care all this whole thing.
16:42You got to learn Spanish.
16:43You got to learn this.
16:43All I know is, if Bad Bunny comes on, it ain't...
16:46It's about the beat.
16:47I don't understand half the music now in English.
16:50So...
16:51It's about to beat the feeling.
16:54You know?
16:55Yeah, it was the vibe.
16:56And he brought it.
16:57The vibe.
16:58He brought it.
16:58He really did.
16:59He was amazing.
17:00He was amazing.
17:00I loved it.
17:01I loved it.
17:01Did you ever think, like, when you go...
17:03Because you were there, do you go, I could do this.
17:06Absolutely.
17:07Oh, yeah.
17:07I go on the field before the game and I'm looking at this guy like, oh, he's 6'7", 350.
17:11I'm like, huh, I ain't the whipped guys like you for breakfast.
17:15You know?
17:16And I think that.
17:17You think that.
17:18And then I watch, like, one hit.
17:20And you go, nope.
17:21And I'm like, no, thank you.
17:23Yeah, I'm happy I'm...
17:24You have to have to be...
17:25You have to be a little crazy to do it.
17:27You do.
17:28And when you're young, you're crazy.
17:29When you get older, you make different decisions.
17:31I think about, when I'm walking in here and I'm thinking about stepping up on stage,
17:34I'm thinking about every step so I don't hurt myself.
17:37But back then, just do it.
17:39Don't even think twice.
17:40You just do it.
17:40Yeah.
17:40You're a very successful entrepreneur.
17:42You have your own clothing line, your own production company.
17:46Yeah.
17:46And I read that you have a lot of motivational slogans that you say.
17:50Yeah.
17:50And, like, can you give me a couple?
17:52Just because I stay motivated.
17:54Well, my partner and I, Constance Swartz and our company, Smack, we always...
17:58You know, when you have clients and people that we work with, you try to inspire them.
18:02So one of H-L-Y-B.
18:04H-L-Y-B.
18:05Yes, because we work with a lot of people who have had success.
18:08And sometimes when you have success, it breeds content.
18:11Yeah.
18:11So we hustle like you're broke.
18:14Ooh.
18:14That's one.
18:15Hustle like you're broke.
18:16Hustle like you're broke.
18:16Don't stop.
18:17And the other one is W-N-I, which my dad did this to me when I was a kid
18:22and I didn't
18:22realize it until after we won the Super Bowl when I was 36.
18:25It's when, not if.
18:27My dad never said if to me, so I never had doubt in my life because I could be whatever
18:31I wanted to be because I was always thinking when.
18:34You know, when I do this and when I do that, not if I do this and if I do
18:37that.
18:37That's right.
18:38So changing that one little word as a kid growing up and never hearing if to make me doubt
18:42I couldn't do anything has made me feel like I could do anything I wanted to.
18:45Yeah, and you can.
18:46Yeah.
18:47I love that.
18:51I love that.
18:52Your clothing line collection by Michael Strahan is celebrating 10 years.
18:5610 years, man.
18:57Isn't that crazy?
18:58Yeah, it's a long time.
18:58I remember when you launched it.
19:00Yeah.
19:0010 years is a long time to be in the clothing business.
19:02It's been great.
19:03It's a long time to be in any business, especially the clothing business because it's a tough business.
19:07And through COVID and everything else, man, we're still here.
19:10But it's been a testament of our retail partners.
19:12It's been a testament of everybody I work with at the company.
19:16My partner, Constance, Corral, April, Scott, Jasmine, everybody has been really, really incredible.
19:23And where can you get it right now?
19:24Belk.
19:25Now we're in Belk as well.
19:26100 Belk stores and online, Belk.com.
19:29There we go.
19:30This is fantastic, bud.
19:31But it's been, you know, I'm in suits all the time like you.
19:35Yeah.
19:35So it's like an extension of me.
19:37It's something that I really believe in and I really use.
19:41And everything I wear is my own.
19:42I just...
19:43Oh, the quality.
19:44It's part of my life.
19:45I think everything you do is quality.
19:47I try.
19:47Yeah.
19:48I mean, on the field, off the field.
19:50Well, my name's on it.
19:50Yo, come on, bud.
19:51Yeah.
19:52So I try to give people what I would expect.
19:54If you put your name on something, it's bigger than my name.
19:56It's my family, my parents, my kids.
19:58Yeah.
19:58So if I'm going to do it, I'm 100% in.
20:01You do that as well with what you produce as well.
20:03Yeah.
20:04Let's talk about this.
20:05This is called The Future is Flagged.
20:06Yeah.
20:07Now, I kind of think so as well.
20:10It is.
20:10Flagged football.
20:11It is.
20:12It's growing.
20:12You know, there are like 20 million flagged football players out there in the world.
20:16And this, The Future is Flagged, the documentary produced on Amazon Prime.
20:21And it's about women flagged football.
20:23Yeah.
20:24And we follow two incredible stars, The Future of the Game.
20:27Deanna Flores, who is the quarterback for Mexico.
20:30And Ashley Clam, who is the center for Team USA.
20:34Wow.
20:34And it's literally, this is the moment for women to have a pro sports league of their own,
20:38with the Olympics coming up as well.
20:41That's right.
20:42Yeah.
20:43It's in the Olympics.
20:442028.
20:452028.
20:46It will be in the Olympics.
20:47Black football will be in the Olympics.
20:49And to me, I'm more excited to watch the women than the men.
20:53Because I feel like a women's league, like I said, it's time for them to have a pro league
20:56of their self.
20:57They need to fill that space.
20:58This is their time.
20:59I'm a girl dad.
21:00I'm gonna do whatever I can to make so the women have their shining in their life.
21:03Yes!
21:04Let's go!
21:04Damn you!
21:05That's what I'm talking about!
21:07I'm gonna show a clip.
21:08Here's a peek at Michael Strahan's documentary, The Future is Flagged.
21:12Take a look.
21:12When I watch, like, other teams, I'm not thinking, aww, they're so cute.
21:19Ashley and Diana, they played together.
21:21They must be best friends on the field.
21:23Like, no, that's not the case.
21:24They are my rivals.
21:26My team against theirs.
21:28If I have the ball in my hands, you're not stopping me.
21:31I'm competitive.
21:32I am a girl who never stops.
21:35It doesn't matter who is in front of you.
21:36You can be smarter.
21:37You can be faster, more agile, more creative, and just be one step ahead.
21:432028.
21:44We have a chance to play for the Olympics.
21:46The Olympics.
21:46The biggest stage FLAG football has ever been.
21:50One chance to prove the world who we are, the world is gonna know.
21:55That's exactly that!
21:57Come on!
21:57They got skills!
21:59Michael Strahan, everybody!
22:00The Future is FLAG is streaming now on Prime Video.
22:04And its collection by Michael Strahan is available in 100 Belk stores and online.
22:09Luke Grimes joins us after the break.
22:12Stick around, everybody.
22:12I spend time with the Grimes like a person, rehearsing a person, a chapter.
22:18Da-da.
22:19Da-da-da-da.
22:21Da-da-da-da.
22:23Da-da-da-da-da-da.
22:24Da-da-da-da.
22:26Da-da-da-da.
22:26Da-da-da-da.
22:27Da-da-da.
22:30Da-da-da-da-da.
22:32Do ya, da, da-da-da.
22:37Da-da-da.
22:38Da-da-da-da.
22:39Da-da-da-da-da.
22:39Well, our next guest is back as Casey Dutton in the new series Marshalls, which airs Sunday
22:44nights at 8 p.m. on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
22:48Please welcome, Luke Grimes.
23:08Luke, welcome back to the show.
23:10It's great to see you, man. Looking good.
23:12Thanks for having me, man. Always.
23:14Last time we were here, we were talking about a new baby,
23:16baby boy. How old is baby now?
23:19Baby is toddler now. He's 18 months.
23:22Oh, that's fun.
23:23It is fun. He's hilarious right now.
23:26I took him to my set the other day, my job.
23:29You know, I wanted to introduce him to everybody.
23:31Very excited for that.
23:32And he just kept laughing at my cowboy hat the entire time.
23:36Making me feel very uncool about something
23:39I'm supposed to feel really cool about.
23:40Yeah, well, you look really cool when you do wear a cowboy hat.
23:43I thought so. He does not.
23:43But to a baby, he's just laughing.
23:45Yeah. What does he do?
23:46Well, it started with him just pointing and laughing.
23:49And then now, when he's at home, he'll find any big, funny thing
23:53and put it on his head and start singing a Dada song.
23:57Literally anything. A bag, laundry, it doesn't matter.
24:01He'll just put it on his head and go, Dada.
24:02Something big that should not be on your head.
24:04And he'll sing the Dada song.
24:05What's the Dada song?
24:06It's sort of evolved at this point.
24:08I'm realizing right now how stupid it is.
24:10No. No.
24:11It's Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada, Dada.
24:25I love it, man. It's awesome. Shout out.
24:27He's going to love that.
24:29And do paper on his head.
24:30Yeah. I love that.
24:32Also, I know how important music is to you.
24:35What music are you playing for your son?
24:38Right now, he's into Bob Marley a lot.
24:42You're skipping over the kids, though.
24:44We don't play him a lot of baby music.
24:45You don't? No.
24:46I feel like there's a lot of, like, you know, good sort of childish melodies that are in music for
24:51all of us, you know?
24:52Yeah. A lot of Beatles songs have sort of really pretty...
24:54Yeah, Beatles really work, too.
24:55Kid-like melodies. He likes Queen a lot right now.
24:58Does he really?
24:59Yeah. He has a little, like, it's called a yodo.
25:01It's like a little music box player thing.
25:03And they have little cards.
25:05And he doesn't know how to say the people yet.
25:06But, like, when he wants Queen, he'll go,
25:08Mama, ooh.
25:11Really? At 18 months?
25:12Yeah. No way.
25:13He can sing, dude. It's awesome.
25:14I love that. All right.
25:16Well, he's a future guest on The Tonight Show.
25:17Yeah, we have to have him on.
25:18Awesome.
25:19I have to show your new album.
25:21You have a new album coming out next month.
25:23That's right.
25:23Congratulations, Luke Ryan.
25:27The vinyl.
25:29So, Redbird, what is the significance of Redbird?
25:34So, in a lot of Southern states, when you see a Redbird or Cardinal,
25:38it means that someone you've lost is coming back to visit you.
25:42Yeah.
25:42Sort of an omen.
25:44And then, also, I'm from Ohio, and the Ohio State Bird is a Cardinal.
25:47So, it sort of has a double meaning.
25:49A double meaning to you, yeah.
25:51And it's produced by Dave Cobb.
25:53That's right.
25:53One of the best in the business.
25:54I know. I don't know why he's doing my stuff.
25:56No, come on. You're so good.
25:58Dave Cobb, shout-out to him. He's the greatest.
26:00Thanks, Dave.
26:01Yeah, thanks, Dave.
26:02Let's talk Marshalls.
26:04Sunday night was a series premiere.
26:06Casey Dutton is back.
26:07Did you think that you'd ever do this again?
26:09No.
26:10You didn't? You really did?
26:11No, we were shooting the last episode of Yellowstone
26:14when I heard about it, and I was just sort of in the headspace
26:17of this is the end, and I like the ending, and here we are.
26:20You did it right.
26:21And, yeah, I just couldn't wrap my head around
26:23what would be next and then, you know, talked to our showrunner,
26:27and he had a really good idea, and I was like,
26:30actually, that sounds pretty awesome, and, you know,
26:33any hesitation turned into excitement to go do it.
26:36Yeah, and now you're crushing it.
26:37Is there any other characters from Yellowstone
26:39going to show up in Marshalls?
26:41There are, yes.
26:42So, the kid who played my son, Breckin Merrill,
26:45who played Tate, and then we've got Gil Birmingham,
26:47Rainwater, and Moe, who plays Moe.
26:50Fantastic. Come on.
26:51Where does it pick up in Casey Dutton's life?
26:54Am I allowed to? I don't know.
26:56It aired, so there's like a...
26:58If you haven't seen it and you don't want a spoiler...
27:01Yeah, the whole night is about spoilers here on the show.
27:03So, yeah, yeah. Sorry, yeah.
27:05So, the worst thing that could have happened to him has happened,
27:08and his wife, Monica, has passed away,
27:11which is, you know, just awful.
27:13And it sort of, like, puts him in this spot of, like,
27:16okay, so are you just going to, you know, become this recluse
27:20and sort of, you know, wither away,
27:23or are you going to step up and try something new,
27:26and, you know, you still have your son to take care of,
27:28and this reservation, this community that needs you.
27:32And, you know, he decides to be a big man
27:35and do the right thing.
27:36Good for you.
27:37I want to show everyone a clip.
27:38Here's Luke Grimes in Marshalls.
27:40Take a look at this.
27:43I was hoping to have a word.
27:46Sir?
27:47You Duttons always had a soft spot for public service.
27:51Livestock Commission, Attorney General, Governor.
27:55Just doing our part.
27:57Hey, but for whom?
27:58Seems to me it was always in service of your family,
28:00or Yellowstone Ranch, or some form of vengeance.
28:04Well, the Yellowstone's gone.
28:06Same for most of my family.
28:08And as for vengeance, Dave's still young.
28:13You got a sharp tongue, just like your father.
28:16We had a history, you know.
28:18Yeah, he used to talk about that a lot.
28:21Really?
28:23No.
28:26Come on.
28:27Luke Grimes, everybody.
28:29Marshalls airs Sunday nights on CBS, and streams on Paramount+.
28:33We'll be right back with more tonight, Joe, everybody.
28:36Get excited.
28:37Oh, yeah, that one and only in the front of Senegalese.
28:43First start of the box, try to get this job.
28:46I'm putting a record shop, yeah.
28:50Our next guest is the newly crowned winner of season four
28:54of the Emmy-winning show, The Traitors,
28:57which is streaming now on Peacock.
28:59Please welcome Rob Roush.
29:10Come on, Rob Roush, and welcome to the show.
29:18Thank you for being here.
29:19Now, you've done two seasons of Love Island.
29:23Yes, sir.
29:24Yeah.
29:24So, when they asked you to come on the show, The Traitors,
29:27was it an immediate yes, or did you have to think about it?
29:30Do you know The Traitors?
29:32I wasn't super familiar.
29:35They asked me twice. I said no.
29:37And then the third time, I came around.
29:39Why no? Just because...
29:41Well, you know, reality TV can be a little dramatic,
29:45a little invasive at times.
29:47So I was hesitant to get back into that world,
29:49but I decided to give it another go.
29:51Yeah, and then you crushed it.
29:52Some people are saying that you were one of the best
29:54to have ever played the game.
29:56Yeah, I mean, I don't know about that,
29:57but I appreciate the compliment.
29:58No, but, I mean, you were so good.
30:02I mean, you realized early that it's a game,
30:04and you're like, I got to play the game.
30:06100%.
30:06But did you...
30:08Were you psyched when they chose you to be a traitor?
30:10Oh, I was ecstatic, yeah.
30:11When they explained the rules to me, when I got there,
30:14I realized that the traitors had all the power,
30:16and if you were chosen as a traitor,
30:18it's pretty much your game to lose at that point.
30:20That's interesting, yeah.
30:21But do you think you would be a good faithful?
30:24I think I could be, yeah.
30:25I'm pretty good at reading people and figuring out
30:27if they're lying or being authentic, so...
30:29You are.
30:30Yeah, but, I mean, I would find it tough.
30:32I could never be...
30:33I don't think I could ever be a traitor.
30:36It's really...
30:37I mean, you played it really, really well.
30:39I mean...
30:42I would start crying, I think.
30:44You think so?
30:44Yeah. I would actually start crying,
30:47especially at the last...
30:48You go down to the last two, and you're like...
30:49Mm-hmm.
30:50I just... The guilt would...
30:51Yeah.
30:52I'm not saying that you should be guilty.
30:54Oh, absolutely. Absolutely.
30:55I mean, like you said, it is a game,
30:57but I will agree.
30:58There are some emotions in there.
31:00And it can get tough at times.
31:02It weighs on you.
31:03Like, are there cameras in your room,
31:04like, when you go to your room at night at the castle,
31:06and you just, like...
31:07No, no. That's when I cried.
31:08That was the secret.
31:09Yeah, that's when you're like,
31:10what am I doing? What am I doing?
31:12Or are you saying to yourself,
31:13hey, I'm doing really well.
31:14I might go all the way.
31:16Yeah, I mean, I was pretty confident.
31:17I'm not gonna lie, and I was also constantly lying to myself
31:21that I was a faithful.
31:22I was putting myself in the mind of a faithful.
31:24Wow, your method.
31:25Yeah, I was basically method acting.
31:27Method acting, yeah.
31:28There's a lot of your trademark things that you did on the show
31:31that fans were super happy about.
31:33I don't know if you know this, but a lot of people like you.
31:36And so one thing was your trademark Love Island eye roll.
31:40You used to roll your eyes a lot on Love Island.
31:44Yes.
31:44And now, did you know that you were gonna bring that to trainers?
31:48Uh, I made a conscious effort to not do that.
31:52I failed.
31:53I failed.
31:54Yes, you did fail.
31:57Here's you on traitors.
31:58Yeah.
31:59I mean, the eye roll.
32:00Is that just something you do?
32:02You know, it's something I wasn't really aware of
32:04until I was on Love Island season six.
32:07But, yeah, you know, I gave it the college try.
32:09I tried not to.
32:10Yeah.
32:11The other signature move that you have is your overalls.
32:18Let's discuss this.
32:19Now, you wore them all the time on Love Island,
32:21and I heard that you weren't originally going to wear them
32:24for traitors.
32:25No, I didn't even bring any.
32:26I didn't bring any overalls.
32:27I figured it wasn't...
32:28It's a new rob.
32:28Well, I just didn't think it would be in the dress code,
32:30given what they were telling me about the show.
32:33Have you met Alan Cumming?
32:35I hadn't.
32:37Dude, that guy rocks fashion better than anyone.
32:39That's what I'm saying.
32:39He's the greatest, by the way.
32:41Yeah, no, he is.
32:42He really is one of the best.
32:44Yeah, I love that dude, man.
32:45But, yeah, so then you get there, and they go,
32:47where's your overalls?
32:47Pretty much, yeah. They're like, you want to wear overalls?
32:49I was like, I don't have any.
32:50And then they went to, like, Scottish Sears or something.
32:54Yeah, where do you get overalls in Scotland?
32:56I couldn't tell you.
32:57Wow, that's pretty cool.
32:59They showed up and got them.
33:00Well, you wear overalls in your actual life
33:03because you're a snake wrangler?
33:06That's correct, yes, I'm a snake wrangler.
33:09I think he was the first snake wrangler I've ever met.
33:12Really?
33:13Yeah, I don't think I've ever met a snake.
33:14I would never...
33:15You ever met, like, Robert Irwin or, like, any of those fellas?
33:18Yeah, I did meet Robert Irwin, yeah.
33:19I don't consider him a wrangler, though, would you?
33:22I don't know. You can give him some credit.
33:25Yeah, sorry, Robert. Maybe he is a snake wrangler.
33:27But how do you get into snake wrangling?
33:29You know, I started doing it as a wee lad.
33:32I was four years old when I got there.
33:34A wee lad. Yeah.
33:35Just a little guy.
33:36You took some Scotland's lung with you.
33:38A wee lad.
33:39Yeah.
33:40But how old are you and what do you mean?
33:42I was four years...
33:43According to the story of my mother,
33:44I was four years old when I caught my first snake.
33:46And I don't really remember.
33:48You'd have to ask her about it.
33:49But she had a rule that I could only catch snakes
33:52that I knew exactly what species they were.
33:54So I learned them very quickly.
33:56Really? So if I showed you some snakes,
33:58could you tell me the species?
33:59I'm fairly confident, yes.
34:01I don't know if you're being a liar or...
34:03You never know. That's the problem.
34:05All right, well, here we go. Ready?
34:06How about this guy?
34:08That is a black rat snake.
34:10We have those.
34:11That is correct. That is a black rat snake.
34:13Mm-hmm.
34:14Ooh.
34:17Look at this guy. Ooh.
34:19Ooh, that is a false coral tree snake.
34:21I got bit by one of those.
34:23That is a false coral tree snake.
34:25You got bit by one?
34:26Yeah, in Costa Rica, it's mildly venomous.
34:28My hand swelled up. I got a fever.
34:30It was probably one of my worst snake bites,
34:32I'm not going to lie.
34:32Wow.
34:33Allergic reaction.
34:34For a second, did you think you got superpowers?
34:36No.
34:37Oh.
34:38I didn't.
34:39Like, Snake Man or something?
34:42That is a reticulated python.
34:44Look at you, bud. This is real deal.
34:47I'm impressed, man. You really know your stuff.

35:07I have no idea what that is.

35:11would you do one?
35:12Because people like you.
35:14You know, I think I wouldn't count it out,
35:17but it's not really something I'm dying to get back into,
35:20to be completely honest with you.
35:22Yeah, but what if Jeff Probst calls?
35:25You know, I do like Survivor. I do like Survivor.
