00:36Good start from Lux Turnup, and then you pick up the 19 of Max Voland. But if you didn't get
00:43a chance to look at that graphic, or we didn't say it plainly enough, Deacon was two seconds faster than
00:50the next closest competitor, his rival in Levi Kitchen, in qualifying around a track that's less than a 55-second
00:57lap time.
00:58Yeah, that's an eternity on a supercross track, and where he was making the time up was like right there,
01:03the corners. Incredible corner speed, and then we talked about this rhythm lane coming up right here.
01:08He's going to come out of here. He was doing this section with ease compared to his competitors. Comes up
01:14a little short right there. No harm, no foul, JT.
01:17Yeah, and Ricky, it's just remarkable the steps that Hayden Deacon has made in progression in this 250 class. And
01:25he makes a gigantic mistake there, so maybe I speak too soon. But just watching him here, he has a
01:30chance to lock up that championship. And I've been wondering, hey, is he ready to move to the 450 class
01:35and be an immediate contender? From everything I've seen, Ricky and Will, it seems like he's there because this is
01:42just turning into utter domination at this point.
01:45That's right, JT, they're watching this. By they, I mean the team, his dad, Brian Deacon. They're keeping an eye
01:52on his performance. You talked about 250s, but moving into the 450 class, we know that's imminent here. It's coming
01:58up as we move into the motocross portion of this SMX season. And I asked Brian Deacon, I said, okay,
02:04so when you're looking at these fastest qualifying times, you're comparing them to the other 250s, you're comparing them to
02:10the 450s. He said, no, absolutely, we're looking forward. That's where we're at right now.
02:14They're very ready. They're already thinking about that move up to 450s.
02:17Good scrap going on here with Max Voll and bottom box. He's pressing hard for that second spot to try
02:23and steal it away from Lux Turner.

03:02Well, I have to give Justin Brayton, our announcer for our race day live afternoon show, some credit because he
03:07has been on the Lux Turner train all season long.
03:10He got to watch him in the offseason racing down in Australia and said, hey, this is a superstar in
03:16the making.
03:16Unfortunately, he suffered an injury in that Australian series, so he's been a little bit behind. He's been chasing its
03:22best form.
03:22But with the break and all of the months they've had since that injury, you can see that form starting
03:28to show up.
03:28And Justin Brayton, he may have been ahead of the curve on this one.
03:31Well, and Lux's sister, Lachlan, she is the WMX champion two-time.
03:40And she can ride the wheels off that motorcycle.
03:44And I'll tell you what, that women's league series has been absolutely incredible.
03:49Those girls are flats, hauling the mail. It's incredible.
03:53There is a podium that's waiting for this man here, Max Volant.
03:56Best result this year of fourth.
03:59He gets closer and closer to that podium in this 26th season.

04:35Meanwhile, Hayden Deegan is nearly seven seconds out in front.

04:46Definitely got a bad start.
04:48It's been a rough year for Levi Kitchen.
04:50We talked about it.
04:51This is a guy that's been title contenders.
04:55Will, and, man, it's just been a rough start.
05:00It has.
05:01Unfortunately, it kind of continues, too.
05:03If you can sort of see in Levi Kitchen, a different shot, you'll see he's actually wearing a kidney belt,
05:07and that's to protect his lower back because he has a couple of injured discs there that were from a
05:12few weeks back now,
05:13and he was actually lifting and training, not while he was on track.
05:16And speaking to him yesterday, he said, like, this is, I'm going to have to just figure out how this
05:21goes as it goes.
05:22Because as soon as the back starts to hurt at the beginning of the day, he said it usually just
05:26progresses throughout.
05:27And he said it just kind of almost fades back in the race.
05:30And he also said the trouble is I'm dealing with not having track time.
05:33He said I've been maybe four days on the bike in four weeks, which is obviously not enough.
05:38And he says things kind of come at you fast when you're back on track with that lack of bike
05:41time.
05:42So unfortunately, for Levi Kitchen, just battling more injuries and bad circumstance right now.
05:47Sitting here looking at the timing and scoring, and Hayden Deegan is about two seconds,
05:53second and a half to two seconds a lap faster than his competitors.
05:58And just absolutely bringing the heat.
06:01And this is an important night for him to do that.
06:03I mean, I go back to Birmingham, and that was an incredible performance.
06:06But Levi Kitchen getting in the mix right here, JT.
06:10Yeah, listen to the story here, it's funny with Levi Kitchen.
06:13You know, he's wearing a kidney belt, which is such a throwback to yesteryear.
06:17It was once kind of a must-have item, and really nobody wears them anymore.
06:20But to get the support there, Kitchen has reverted back to that.
06:24And he had it on so high, like placement-wise.
06:28Earlier, we're all laughing at him because it's a lost art.
06:30Nobody knows how to wear it anymore.
06:31I said, hey, man, listen, I'm old.
06:34I'm going to show you, you've got to wear this thing much lower because you're kind of defeating the place.

07:18It's going to be seven for seven as his arch rival coming into this season.

07:29DeFrancisco had the fastest lap on the track last lap, but not enough for this guy overall.
