00:00i got a plan for the for the dolphins all right let's hear and this is a genuine attempt to
00:06put
00:06this team in a position to actually evaluate malik willis who's on a three-year contract
00:11of 45 million guaranteed and then if malik doesn't work at least you have somewhat of a foundation
00:17that a new quarterback if he gets drafted to you in the top five next year could at least be
00:22excited
00:22to go there because like you look at the raiders the raiders at least have brock bowers and they
00:27have ash and genti right for a new quarterback to walk in they're sure they need help at wide
00:31receivers but for fernando mendoza it's not as if you're walking in you go oh i got absolutely
00:36nothing around you like the giants right you would agree the giants and i know that situation
00:40malik neighbors uh malik neighbors and uh you know the guy who doesn't think concussions are real
00:46cam's got a boom i i realize that you know that situation's kind of in flux now because of the
00:52injuries but in theory that that's what you want right like talent around a quarterback who may or
00:57may not pan out yeah like something that you could just say okay i got a chance it's not that
01:02i'm gonna
01:02go to this organization let's be able the raiders haven't had a quarterback in forever the dolphins
01:07had a haven't had a quarterback since marino so there's a perception that you got to break but at
01:11least you could look around and and you could say okay there there are some concepts of a plan here
01:16like i remember uh even though malik neighbors got hurt jackson dart walked in and i was there the
01:21night that he beat the eagles and i was talking to him after the game and you could tell he
01:25he wasn't
01:26focused on the on the past of what happened this organization he was focused on the present
01:30and he felt like he had some resemblance of a shot to succeed there so with the 11th pick in
01:36the draft
01:37could you go offensive lineman yes can i sit here and be like if francis malinoa is there
01:42or spencer fano's there or freeling is there uh or like uh caden proctor's there take him sure
01:49i i could give you that take and building the offensive line is so important but i think you
01:55got to go get a legitimate playmaker there and some people may say oh is carnell take gonna fall
02:00or if it's not carnell take do you go jordan tyson makai lemon would intrigue me if they take
02:07makai lemon if he's there at at 11 i would not scream about it i would not bitch about it
02:12i would
02:12not complain about it kenyan sadiq the tight end out of oregon i know people gonna say you can't
02:18take a tight end that early look how many game-changing tight ends there are in the nfl
02:22right now where you're basically a wide a slot wide receiver kenyan sadiq is a physical freak and
02:28he's someone that i'm having a draft crush on and that could be i'm not saying he's as good as
02:34this
02:34player but you're brock bowers right in that kind of theory of what the raiders are doing and i was
02:39talking to tony pauline the other day and i thought this was interesting because i didn't
02:42think he would grade this high kenyan sadiq in his estimation grades higher than colston loveland
02:49and tyler warren a year ago in his draft evaluation that was tony pauline from essentially sports so
02:55with the 11th overall pick here's step one kenyan sadiq i like what you just said there and we i
03:04used
03:04to have tony pauline on years ago so i i genuinely i think the guy knows his bleep that last
03:10line you
03:10just said really interests me where he graded higher than some of the the the tight ends that
03:16came in and were immediate impacts i was shocked when he said and i'm a i'm a stan as the
03:20kids would
03:20say of kenyan sadiq i thought the world of tyler warren coming out of college i couldn't believe
03:26tony pauline said that and the dolphins should have had him dolphins could have had him oh yeah they
03:31could have instead they drafted uh the kenneth grant kenneth grant which you know that that could
03:35still end up being a decent pick yeah he was a good player michigan but you know the idea that
03:40you were going all in last year i know the dolphins were far from it but there was this idea
03:43they were
03:44going all in last year and of course they play the colts in the first game and of course they
03:50just get
03:50run off the field and kenneth grant you know he didn't really make an impact until middle of the
03:55season if that um okay i mean i i don't think there's a chance in hell the dolphins take a
04:00tight end
04:01i think there's too many holes to fill on that defense and i think they desperately need to
04:06figure out the offensive line but i don't hate where your head is at i just hate it i'm not
04:11saying
04:11he's going to be this good but if i tell you the dolphins could get kelsey or kiddle or a
04:18laporta
04:19or a bowers you you would you would take that with the 11 picks sign me up 100 especially knowing
04:25you have a quarterback who doesn't have weapons or trey mcbride even right trey mcbride is is
04:33is exceptional sign me up you you literally have a quarterback right now with no weapons
04:38other than devon a chain i'm very curious about this and i'm going to do this on the fly so
04:43hopefully it loads yeah there we go kenyan sadiq according to lance airline has been doing this for
04:50a long time i always love lance airline's draft evaluations you go on nfl.com you type in the
04:56player's name he gives you a player comp his player comp is trey mcbride the last two years
05:02trey mcbride has been as good as any tight end in the nfl yeah if you could get a trey
05:08mcbride on
05:08this team on a rookie contract even believe willis doesn't work you know you draft arch banning next
05:14year or dante more the next year or julian saying the next year they would be excited to play with
05:19the
05:19player like kenyan sadiq i preface this by saying it's a risk because he was he got better as it
05:25did
05:25go on this past year at oregon but it's not like you look at his stats and you're blown away
05:29by the
05:30career of kenyan sadiq that's a name that's rising quick and if the dolphins could get him at 11 you
05:35don't know how the rest of the board is is going to uh is gonna go um you know i
05:42think that would be
05:43a name of interest i got one more name for you for for 30 do you want me to give
05:47it on the other side
05:47you want me to tease tease give me an old school radio tease but you know what you you've got
05:52me a
05:52little bit i i hadn't even thought about the dolphins and honestly i'm not gonna lie to you
05:56go like i didn't i i haven't looked at tight ends i don't do the draft board stuff like i'll
06:01default to
06:02you on this i'm a college football junkie but you uh you're selling me on this idea of of going
06:08with
06:08a tight end who is is expected to be as good as some of the other guys i could i
06:13could go for that
06:14see this is why i get asked to fill in on this show because i i should be getting paid
06:18for tomorrow
06:19show because solana then tomorrow is going to run this idea past hockman and crowder and that's
06:24going to be an hour of content for you have no idea because this is now my take i have
06:28i have
06:29i have you already stole a take from crowder texting me your devon h and he should hold out
06:34uh that was a crowder take he texted me about not happy with you i have commandeered your take it
06:39is
06:39now my take thank you very much kenyan sadiq at 11 for the dolphins i'm gonna give you three
06:45possibilities at 30 okay at 30 when we come on back it's hockman crowder and solana zach elbin for
06:51the boys right here on wqam all righty i gotta uh follow up on my tease here else i wouldn't
06:56be doing
06:57my job you're fixing the dolphins and people on the text line hate it because nobody wants a tight
07:02end but go ahead gal give me give me it's fine next pick you guys don't know what it's like
07:06to win
07:06uh you know builds a winning football oh that's right yeah big bad patriots fan tell me tell me
07:11about how to how to rebuild your organization you got you what you guys have 62 yards in the super
07:16bowl the the flukiest the flukiest afc title championship in the history of the nfl it's just
07:24a disgrace that the patriots won the afc this year okay so there was a fluke then that the miami
07:29heat
07:29got to the championship of jimmy butler when they were in the playing tournament then not at all
07:32do you see how stupid that sounds do you see how stupid you sound wasn't a fluke at all we
07:37beat we
07:37beat the number one overall seed and yannis onto the kumpo and then we beat the new york injury
07:42we we just destroyed we dispose of your stupid nicks and had it not been for josh hart taking out
07:48jimmy butler with that dirty ass play jimmy butler would have won an nba title that year solana we know
07:54your contrived rants here i'm trying to help you guys i'm trying to lend a helping hand kenyan sadique
07:59at 11 okay now this is not that creative but at 30 i think there's three names that if one
08:05of them
08:05are there you take them okay three wide receivers it's all about i know people who say offense align
08:10this offense line that i get that's how you build a football team but you you just traded away jaylen
08:14waddle you got to replace jaylen waddle with a weapon so that's why i'm going kenyan sadique and then
08:19replace him with another weapon and you're yes you're building from the outside in where you should
08:24probably build inwards out but it's about giving malik willis an opportunity to succeed while he
08:29is mobile and then if he doesn't work then you go get your quarterback in the draft you can spend
08:34the free agency to go help out the offensive line the three names at wide receiver that i think have
08:37a chance to be available at 30 denzel boston out of washington which by the way lance zirline i'm
08:43just gonna give you his player comp has him comp to puka nakua casey conception who i'm a big fan
08:50of
08:50sign me up if he's there at 30 lance zirline has him compared to doug baldwin and then omar cooper
08:58jr
08:59lance zirline hasn't compared to debo samuel if you walk away at 11 and 30 with kenyan sadique at 11
09:05and then either denzel boston casey conception or omar cooper jr those are two weapons for the future
09:12and and you pay devon hn you pay devon hn then you go sign an offensive lineman in free agency
09:19next year
09:19and you have arch manning uh or uh julian sayin or whoever the quarterback may be next year for for
09:27the dolphins so first of all i love casey conception and i'm already better at better at my
09:32job than chris greer ever was at his job i mean you set the bar very low i love casey
09:37conception for
09:38two reasons one he won me an ncaa title at ncaa 25 last year i love that dude i was
09:45the nc state wolf
09:46pack and that guy was an effing monster and two he's from rochester new york which i have family from
09:52so sign me up for casey we could go on yeah let me know grease athena baby let me know
09:58so i love
09:59casey conception and no joke dude's a baller like he was awesome at texas a&m last year um gel
10:04but
10:04dolphins fans are going to be losing their mind if you have two first round picks and and they're both
10:10going to weapons on the offense but i'll tell you what i like your plan because you have a boatload
10:16of
10:16second and third round picks you're picking seven times on day two that's where you should be finding
10:22your big guys that's where you should be building the trenches that's where you should be spending
10:27your draft capital at kind of bulking up your team if there's weapons out there to be had i'm not
10:32opposed to getting them if they're they're legit legitimately good weapons yeah and that's a thing
10:39the dolphin should be in a position where you're drafting the best player available and you gotta
10:46if you put an if you grab an offense alignment let's say at 11 and then a defensive player at
10:5130
10:52how are you going to accurately view malik willis this year when devon hn could get traded before the
10:57start of the season like if they trade devon hn even during the start of the season or midway through
11:01the season how are you evaluating the quarterback you got to get him some weapons
