00:11their young cuffs we've got another female coming in these mums this is not good this
00:18is really not good must find the rest of the pride if they're all to survive where are the clubs
00:30the okovango delta in botswana we are in a pristine environment right now one of africa's last
00:39wildernesses the magnitude of life here is unparalleled and it's a haven for africa's big cats
00:48lion cheetah and leopard big cat country
00:55armed with the latest filming technology the big cats 24 17 is following individual big cats
01:05for six months this is a unique opportunity to follow these cats around the clock through the day
01:13i used to think i'd have a fair fight with a lion
01:15oh not so sure now and the night we've got the most sophisticated thermal imaging technologies
01:25capturing their behavior 24 hours a day i have never seen anything like this
01:33that's a good one
01:40epic
01:44oh they're locking jaws
01:47she's clawed him in the face
01:50oh the girls are driving demo away
01:54these females might have done it
02:03she's contact calling
02:07conflict looks over for now
02:09that was insane that was so insane
02:24reya have you got eyes on these cubs
02:27no that's a negative
02:36lionesses have no idea where the cubs are
02:39lion mums mato
02:43cb
02:46and the lady are searching for their nine young cubs
02:51scattered in the chaos of the fight
02:55please please please please please please be okay
03:04it's a cub this is a cub right here
03:15some cubs are over there
03:28right let's count these cubs
03:30one two three four five six seven eight great we're missing one cub
03:38this is a cub this is not cool raya have you got eyes on this ninth cub
03:43that is a negative
03:46now lady it's just non-stop contact calling
03:48i feel for her
03:52it's now lady's smallest cub that's missing
04:02i'm just really scared to see beyond the long grass and see a dead cub
04:07please tell me that's not happened
04:14oh there's the cub
04:22what a relief
04:28the cub is trailing pretty far behind
04:37it's not over for these mums and cubs the three younger rogue boys have circled back
04:46this cup is alone he's literally within 50 meters to these three rogue boys
04:54intruder male lions are responsible for a quarter of cub deaths this is very dangerous
05:05one of the mums has come back
05:12but the lady is not leaving her cup behind
05:26and mato and sebe are joining
05:32i've never seen anything like this they're trying to settle this through growls
05:40the mums have survived one round against the rogue boys
05:44lions typically will avoid confrontations if you have an injury it could be fatal another
05:51could leave the cubs completely unprotected
06:01it's a battle's oven without their leader deemo
06:07these rogue boys seem to be heading to the direction they came from
06:12the three youngsters are finally backing down
06:16these are some serious women bosses
06:24they have successfully fought off these were boys
06:30oh great news i'm so relieved
06:38mato sebe and the lady have saved their cubs for now
06:45since big toe and madumo have disappeared
06:49they're leaving their lionesses to just do all the work
06:54but the rogue boys are still in the area
06:58and there are no dominant pride males to defend it
07:01it just feels like this territory is completely up for grabs
07:07the kudum pride has been apart for weeks
07:11now scattered across its 100 square mile territory in the occo vango delta
07:19there are lots of players who are just moving in who knows who this territory is for now it's
07:26it's total chaos the abundance of prey brought by the annual flood is drawing more intruders in
07:36there's so many cups to protect
07:40without big toe and madumo to help them
07:44mums working together is essential
07:48mato naledi and sebe must join with the other mums in the pride for protection
07:54we just really really need safety numbers but first they need to find them
08:08i think i've sure seen a glimpse of a leopard
08:12tristan and brad are on the trail of leopard mum lediba
08:16it's very very thick over here so i'm just going to pull in and see what's going on
08:25after losing one of her cubs
08:29mum looks happy cub looks happy ladiba is now focusing on keeping this one alive
08:39this little cub is very playful
08:44i think she's spotted an impala
09:00yeah the little cub has just tried to run into an impala
09:04it scared everything
09:08oh that was too cute
09:11any opportunity these cats are ready to go and even from the age of four months they seem to think
09:18that
09:18they can take down adult in bars that was absolutely adorable
09:26look mum look what i tried to do did you see me i nearly caught one
09:35oh yes mummy and cub
09:41ladiba is still providing her four-month-old cub with milk i got a little bit of suckling here
09:48but it's now also eating meat i would really like to see her starting to provide a lot more
09:56meat for the cub
09:59my sense is that she should be getting a lot more than she is at the moment
10:06to feed them both
10:08ladiba needs to catch something every two to three days
10:15the divas she has gone up so suckling has stopped
10:19diva's on the move leaving the cub in its nursery
10:24she's clearly hungry and hunting ladiba is going in search of food
10:33she's covering a lot of ground pushing hard
10:45she's just bumped into the baboon troop
10:53i haven't seen her
10:57and she is sneaking away as quietly as possible
11:05baboons will alert any prey to ladiba's presence
11:10amazing she's virtually going underneath the front of my car
11:21tris she's now heading back through the forest
11:34the divas have finally found something to hunt
11:38and i expect no river
11:46there's very very thick vegetation so she should be able to sneak up quite close
12:03you don't know where the cat is because she's so well camouflaged and hidden
12:08but you can see the prey just about
12:12less than one in five leopard hunts are successful
12:16this me buck has no idea that the leopard's coming up behind him
12:23the diva's best chance is to stalk within five meters of her prey
12:31the buck's moving
12:42oh jeez that was close
12:45i'm lucky
12:46she just just missed it
12:51what's what is going on
12:53do you want me to go have a look over there
12:56you go on her i'll go and have a look
13:03a little bit of a noise and alarm calling going on here there's definitely something else going on
13:14we've got a male lion underneath a tree
13:19this is really really scary she's moving straight towards him right now
13:24she hasn't seen him
13:26a pop-up run in front of them there
13:30if the male lion can catch her and he will kill her it's just what predators do to each other
13:45he doesn't see him but she's right in front of him
13:57he's very lucky this guy didn't decide to charge her because that could have been
14:00a horrible horrible ending oh she's being brave coming straight down the tree
14:11that was a bit close for comfort
14:15this lone male lion is not one of the rogue boys but yet another newcomer to the area
14:27i'm with the battle the lady and the cubs right next to the front of the flood
14:34greg is with the mums and young cubs moving south as one of the biggest most dominant prides
14:41in the whole lock of anger we've become quite accustomed to these lines really ruling the roost here
14:49it looks like that's all changing
14:54back in the navy
14:59roger that i'm following a couple of pneumatic males
15:03what this is ridiculous
15:07heading towards the mums the arrival of the flood we're seeing concentration of big cats
15:12gordon has discovered more intruders that's a bit of a melting pot taking the total in the area
15:19to at least seven these lines have probably battled their way around the okavango for the last
15:25couple of years with that singular mission of finding somewhere they can call their own
15:41and now less than a mile away reya has picked up the rogue boys leader
15:46demo what's going on here i mean he's all alone without backup they're coming straight to us they're
15:53coming straight to us he's being pursued by even more intruding male lions i can't even recall how many
15:59groups of males have popped up
16:05oh they've got him
16:13god this is so close this is directly in front of us they're right here
16:18they're biting him
16:23i've never seen this before
16:26this is a battle of intruders versus other intruders
16:41the moon
16:41demur came into this territory and we cast him as a bad guy
16:49can't help but feel a little sorry for him now
16:54badly injured this might be the last time we see demon
16:59demo is leaving it's really hard to keep track of all these lines we're seeing
17:04with no dominant males the kudum pride territory is now a battleground
17:12pretty worrying for the pride lionesses are having to protect the cubs on their own
17:19i've never seen a pride take over mato naledi sebe and their cubs are all in danger
17:28banding together is definitely going to help
17:32yeah together lines moving they want to move their cubs to safety
17:38they must find the other mums of the pride as soon as possible
17:45the only way we're going to find these cats is to cover quite a lot of ground
17:51poor cubs there
17:54it doesn't look good
18:09hey bobby how you doing how are your cubs anna is with bobby the cheetah and her two cubs
18:18they're just growing day by day these two are super lucky because at the moment their mum
18:28is doing all of the hard work
18:31oh there they are
18:39they are super cute to see the world is just a playground at the moment every single tree
18:50is like a jungle gym
18:53they're now starting to learn the skills to survive on their own
19:01these cubs are practicing their tree climbing
19:05this is essential learning for them because climbing trees helps them when they need to
19:11get off the ground
19:14but it gets a really good viewpoint above all of this long grass
19:20cheetahs can see movement over a mile away
19:23by climbing trees they can scan for prey but they can also scan for predators
19:31being able to spot danger from afar and escape it
19:35here at the top of a tree
19:37is crucial with so many lions now in the area
19:54oh dear she's got herself into a bit of a situation here
20:01she's trying to go down backwards
20:07and she kneeled it down looked quite stressful
20:11yeah wonderful springy legs coming into their own
20:15i do feel like they're slowly growing into their legs
20:26every day they're getting more used to their bodies and you can see that that is really
20:31helping them in their speed and agility
20:33and tree climbing all of it
20:37it's what looks like play is just essentially key training for them
20:43because we can't forget that cheetahs are at the bottom of the pecking order
20:59it's amazing how much that they have to develop in such a short amount of time
21:04to be ready to go it alone
21:06kia and bow still have a lot to learn
21:10that is the life of a cheetah
21:12they have to develop so much faster than the other cats in the delta
21:33it's begun
21:34the diva is well and truly on her mission tonight
21:37the cub's den is only a couple hundred meters away
21:41with her cub hidden nearby
21:44ladiba is hunting again
21:47looks like she's managed to sight out some impala moving through the floodplain
21:53and seems to be very very keen on making an approach
21:59this whole floodplain is full of game
22:01there's so much moving around
22:04this might be her change in luck
22:08she's certainly very hungry
22:10and it looks like she's going to give this as good of a go as possible
22:21she's got herself into a pretty amazing position here
22:27I can hear something barking
22:30what the hell lad
22:33she was in the perfect position
22:38I found a f***ing lion
22:44she doesn't want to even try and compete with a lion
22:47they're just too big
22:49there's lions literally everywhere
22:59the diva's gone into some thicker cover now
23:03the influx of new lions into the area
23:06and I'm losing visual of her
23:09is affecting all of the resident big cats
23:13she's bolted off into the sage ridge
23:15and I can't keep up with her through there
23:18it's now been three days since the team saw Ladiba eat
23:22sadly this means that our night's over
23:24but hopefully for Ladiba
23:26she manages to get herself a meal
23:27she really needs it
23:29and most of all her cub needs it
23:45just be careful guys
23:46don't like crowd them in
23:50give them the space to move around
23:53it's morning
23:53but Tristan and Rhea are delayed in camp
23:57we've got a little bit of a blockage here
23:59on our way to the vehicle
24:02Mr. Ellie's enjoying our lawn
24:05this is supposed to be our badminton field
24:10there's a lot of elephants around
24:12I'm just seeing like elephants over there
24:17we probably get elephants walking through camp
24:20four or five times a day
24:26you can see what the elephant does when he takes the grass
24:29he pulls it out with his trunk
24:31and then he shakes it side to side
24:33removing that sand and the dust off
24:35not to hurt his teeth
24:38and then he eats it
24:42having an elephant right literally in the middle of a camp
24:45is always a reminder just how wild this place is
24:49when we've got a bit of a speed bump like this on our way out
24:53best thing to do is appreciate it
24:57we shouldn't forget at the end of the day
24:58this is their land
24:59we're just visitors
25:04some people drive a car to work
25:05and they've got to watch out for an accident
25:07when I get out of my room in the morning
25:08I've got to make sure I don't bump into him
25:13the roadblock is clear
25:16time to get back to work
25:28I do feel like today is a major school day
25:31bush school for cheetah cubs Kia and Bo is continuing with mum Pobbe
25:37probably looks uninterested in the actual impala
25:41it kind of feels like it's actually just more about the lesson
25:55that felt like she was teaching the cubs
25:58how to run or how to accelerate
26:02where for Anna
26:03yeah Bo, go Anna
26:05Pobbe seems to be on a mission to show them a few little hunting skills
26:09the cubs are learning another vital lesson
26:15we've got four best cubs here
26:18imitating their mum
26:19they think they're on a serious hunt
26:21these are skills which will help them in the long term
26:24to survive on their own
26:26Kia and Bo must learn
26:28how to run down prey
26:30I've got a wilder beast
26:31just over in that direction
26:37and the cubs are over
26:38straight ahead of me
26:42now moving straight
26:44towards him
26:46definitely got their ears down
26:49oh
26:50running running running running
26:57it's pretty amazing to see the difference from just a month ago
27:01when they were shy
27:02and never take the initiative to move forward
27:07fully grown wildebeest are ten times heavier than Kia and Bo
27:12I bet the wildebeest are thinking what is going on
27:16why is this tiny cheetah trying to run at us
27:21even an adult cheetah would struggle to take one down
27:26I love that Pobbe is just here watching
27:28she's thinking that these cubs have a lot to learn
27:33but the cubs are not giving up
27:37they are staring at the zebra
27:41they've got missile locks on their eyes
27:46Kia is having another go
27:53watch, she's so fast
27:55at this age
27:57cheetah cubs can run nearly 50 miles per hour
28:00ooh, that is nuts
28:07no, okay, zebra have scarpered
28:12it'll be another year
28:14before they can hit top speed
28:18getting that little practice how to approach prey
28:21gives them a good sense of
28:23from what distance will prey see you
28:27they definitely haven't quite learned it
28:29I don't mean to surprise it
28:44there's a hyenae over here that has picked up the scent of something
28:50this has got the potential to go really, really wrong
28:57I don't know how the cubs are going to respond to this
29:05a single spotted hyena is unpredictable
29:09I don't know what is Kia doing
29:17she's going straight towards the hyena
29:30Kia is standing her ground
29:36super brave
29:39take that hyena
29:51there are three hyenas
29:54three is a scary number for them
29:58but three hyenas together
30:00it's going in, it's going in, it's going in
30:02could be deadly for the cubs
30:05they're running from the hyenas
30:08Kia's running
30:17both the cubs and pulway have been chased away
30:21this is not great news because the cubs have been separated
30:31the cubs are now learning when to retreat
30:36one cub has found pulway
30:44the other one is taking refuge up a tree
30:48so
30:50their tree climbing skills
30:52they are coming in more useful than they
30:54I hope they probably thought
30:56thank God for that
30:58yay
31:06I can't imagine losing either of those cubs now
31:09after we have been with them for this long
31:14everything was okay
31:16after the close call
31:18hunt training is paused
31:22these cubs are having lesson after lesson
31:27and I think they've just learned a very important one
31:29which is
31:31don't mess with hyenas
31:40we've got
31:43Mato
31:43the lady
31:44and sebi here with their cubs
31:47it's gonna get sick up ahead
31:51sets and gordon are on the night shift
31:54they've wandered so far tonight
31:57Mato sebi and the lady are still searching for the other pride mums
32:05this is miles away
32:06this is right down as far south as i've ever been
32:14the lady and Mato
32:16have
32:18gone up the tree
32:19to try and look out
32:20see if they can see anything in the darkness
32:23in the past i've seen the lions climbing trees
32:26to get a
32:27a better view
32:28to see what's out there
32:30but on a night like this
32:31they're definitely not going to be able to see very far
32:37very quiet
32:38we can hear a lot better if they're off the ground
32:42lions use sound to find each other
32:47i think they've heard something
32:52they can hear other lions from more than five miles away
32:57we're locked on to something behind me
33:08but it's not the other pride mums
33:10those zebra
33:12one hundred percent
33:15yeah they're interested
33:17this is a chance to feed their cubs
33:22okay it's going to be tricky
33:25but they've started to spread out
33:28Mato is going straight towards them
33:32it's going to be tricky
33:32Sebi has gone white to the left
33:35the lady has disappeared off to the right
33:42okay
33:44the hunt is on
33:50our last
33:59they've got something
34:01oh they're taking a zebra down
34:03that is a big cat bundle
34:07oh it's down they've taken it down
34:15the cubs are digging in
34:19quite some price
34:25female needs five kilos of meat each day
34:29but in one sitting they can eat much more than that
34:32they can eat up to 30 kilograms
34:36after days on the move
34:39just going to pop the drone up
34:40this is a welcome meal
34:47they need to keep quiet keep it as a secret and
34:50try not to make a lot of
34:52rustling noises and grunts and fighting over food
34:56keeping it at a minimum will not alert other cats in the area
35:06they need to keep it at a minimum
35:07hey gordon
35:09did you copy that
35:11yeah i did it's kind of over my
35:14right hand shoulder
35:16you know the scent of this carcass is wafting straight towards me
35:20so it's probably carrying far and wide
35:24yeah we might be in for a surprise
35:29lions have to eat fast because you never know
35:32who wants to come along and pinch that meal from you
35:37i can hear them
35:40i saw something moving behind them in the tree line
35:46oh yeah
35:48so it's a female
35:50i can't tell who that is
35:54on a night like this when it's so dark
35:56they literally have to be right up close to figure out if it's a lion that they know
36:01whether it's friend or foe
36:06mato is up
36:09she's being extra cautious
36:21she's too close for comfort
36:27it's clearly not one of the other kudum pride lionesses
36:33they're chasing
36:37whoever they are they're not welcome
36:46heading back
36:49they're just passing behind the car
36:58oh no
36:59oh no
37:01what's going on
37:05more lions coming in
37:16oh that is such a menacing sound
37:20all of these lions
37:22just trying to
37:25intimidate
37:27push the girls off the kill
37:33the mums have traveled so far from their own territory
37:38they've run into another pride
37:41the five in total
37:43they are calling
37:44the other one's calling
37:46these lions aren't interested in killing cubs
37:50oh there's more
37:52they want a free meal
38:01there's a big fire erupting
38:03it was a massive
38:04the numbers are now working in their favor
38:21and they're being chased off
38:24the kill is not worth it
38:30the zebra carcass has been abandoned
38:33it's just not worth defending
38:39they've taken the cubs and then off
38:43that was enough
38:45for them to pull out here
38:49the mums and cubs have lost their meal
38:54it is quite thick here
38:57very dense
38:59and disappeared into the scrub
39:02all right
39:03all right where have we gone
39:06we kind of get through that
39:11just lost visual of the lions
39:27big lion tracks here
39:31next morning
39:33aha
39:34here they are
39:38fantastic
39:43we've got a whole pile of lions
39:52a couple of the lionesses are getting up
39:59oh
40:00i can see some blood
40:04some of them look like they really did take a beating hey
40:10the lady looks like she got
40:14seriously hurt last night
40:16she's got a lot of a lot of open wounds
40:19cuts under her leg
40:21it's on her face
40:28pausing
40:30now my toe has just gotten up and she's walking
40:33across
40:34oh she's got some serious blood underneath her front leg
40:42she's been hurt
40:45very uncommon for us to see my toe turned in a confrontation
40:51it looks like last night the lionesses met their match
40:54the her and the lady both have wounds on the back of their rum
40:58which means that they were bitten from behind
41:01one hell of a scrap
41:05not one of them is unscathed
41:09from what i can tell all of the cubs are okay
41:12so the mums must have put up one hell of a fight
41:16because all of them are looking
41:19seriously sore
41:21but we've got a lot of cubs that haven't eaten
41:24it's not a good place to be they're physically outmatched
41:29hungry and bruised
41:31mato sebe and naledi cannot afford another attack
41:37it's a pivotal point for the leading lionesses to make a decision on what to do here
41:44safety with the other mums of the pride
41:47has never been more urgent
41:51they've got intruders all over their territory
41:54so they've been squeezed
41:56i've never witnessed this before in lions and
41:59it's going to be very interesting to see how they navigate their way out of it
42:11so
42:21uh brad has found ledeba
42:24heads have unbelievable expressions
42:27and she's not alone
42:30they're looking at this line it's with utter disgust
42:34the lone male lion has interrupted ledeba's plans to eat
42:39again
42:40it's just sad that she's gone through all this effort to make a kill and get stolen by
42:46a lion
42:48she really needed a meal
42:50we've been with her pretty consistently this last week
42:53and she definitely hasn't had a decent meal or anything big enough to feed the cub
42:59it must be torturous for her just sit there and watch a male lion eat her carcass and not be
43:06able to do anything about it
43:11i think he's done eating for now he's burying the entrails trying to conceal the scent
43:18and he doesn't want hyenas or other lions to find this
43:28he's moving
43:34and he's down
43:40he's moving
43:40nadiba's started to move around a little bit
43:44she's watching that cock
43:45i think she's thinking about taking a piece back
43:51while the lion is resting
43:54nadiba has spotted an opportunity
43:59she's being very careful
44:06okay she's on the ground
44:10admire her determination to try and get some of this back
44:17i think she's getting desperate oh this is a valuable meal i think she's going to risk it all
44:33i think there's a cub there trust yeah it was the base of the tree
44:38it looks like lediba brought her hungry cub to eat this is crazy before the lion pushed them off
44:47they are about 10 12 meters from the line now
44:52i think this is a particularly dangerous situation
44:59that cub just has to stay concealed
45:15greg is joining brad on the night shift
45:19so let me make your way around here jonas copy that brad
45:29she's been here eight nine hours very patiently waiting there's still something back
45:36the cub is desperate at this age the cub should be eating almost a kilo of meat every day
45:45on top of her mother's milk it's quite easy to notice with the thermal imaging
45:51just how skinny the deba and her cub are so it makes sense that her and the cub waited
45:59but hunger is putting them both at risk
46:08the big boy is moving
46:09the big boy is moving
46:11he is moved off
46:13the deba's sneaking in
46:31she's got it
46:32she's got it
46:35brad i think you can hear me back eh
46:41oh she's seen it cab's on the move
46:49mad is just remarkable
46:52the cub is heading into the trees for safety
46:56it's a hell of a clown for a cub
46:59she's seen him but the deba is determined to get something to eat
47:13go go come on
47:18well done the deba that has to sneak a little bit of food there
47:39the deba's nice and high up
47:42it's not a huge piece i don't know how much was left behind by the lion but
47:47she'll get some decent value out of what she managed to scavenge
47:51she needs it
47:56la deba's persistence has paid off
48:00she can now feed herself and her cub
48:06never a moment's rest for a mother leopard
48:28she's definitely walking about with purpose
48:30after the cheetah's hunt training was interrupted by hyenas
48:35so cool her body language just completely changes
48:39ears have gone back
48:41lessons are back on
48:47oh i think she's going to die
49:00there's a cuticle
49:01there's a cuticle
49:10there's a cuticle
49:11it's got it
49:14oh kia's in already
49:16she is first on the scene
49:23that came completely out of nowhere
49:27she's a machine as soon as she gets up into hunt mode you're like well she's about to kill
49:31something you just know it
49:38kia's watching pobe and pobe is clamping her jaws around this kudu's neck and this is a perfect
49:48moment for kia to learn just what it takes to suffocate her prey because that's what cheetahs
49:58do they just clamp down on the windpipe their prey by bringing in prey that is alive and then
50:06showing them how it's done this is the next stage in the hunting practice whoa look at this kia's
50:17having a go she's popping pobe you can really see that pobe is trying to teach her a lesson here
50:26she keeps like clumping and then she lets it go and then kia has a go
50:35your parents always tell you don't play with your food but that's exactly what you should
50:41do if you're a cheetah cub
50:44kia is learning fast
50:48where is bo
50:51but her brother is skipping class
50:56oh wow kia is calling bo that is such a sweet sound
51:05that is such a sweet sound
51:07oh
51:07the pobe is also calling
51:12they can make these incredible chirping sounds
51:20it's coming
51:23i feel for him because he just seems like he's always a little bit slow off the mark than kia
51:28kian runs into every situation head first whereas i was a little bit more shy and anxious of everything
51:47all of this teaching will be completely worth it when these cubs reach about a year old because at that
51:55point they can start participating in the hunt
51:59every day her cubs move another step closer to looking after themselves
52:04probably is going to start handing the ropes over to them and saying you know you go ahead amazing
52:15every single day these cops are learning more and more
52:23eventually they're going to be absolutely unstoppable
52:43this is uncharted territory for me i think that they've pulled away from all those intruders
52:50gordon and greg are searching for lion moms mato naledi sebe and their cubs
52:58makes sense that they kind of just shifted but they've become increasingly hard to find
53:05this is way off good for them we have crossed to the west a place where we've never found them
53:13before
53:19bingo look
53:22gee girls what the heck are you doing down here hallelujah that is great
53:30hey hey fam been missing you guys last time we saw them they had just come out of a big
53:36boxing match
53:37but thankfully it looks like everybody's doing okay where have you been
53:46you can see in many of our lions the healing ability is amazing the ears are roughed up and the
53:53nostrils
53:54are roughed up and they've got facial scars and it's just a story of life their lives are often
54:00shown so vividly on their faces these lines are incredibly resilient they're just super tough
54:11so
54:12land team lion team you go headsets there you go then i just found some lionesses
54:20can't believe this i have my crossy no see and my gogo oh that is good news
54:31we've been looking for so long i can't begin to tell you how i'm feeling
54:39sets has finally located the other mums of the pride
54:45moving in search of safety from intruders that contact calling both groups of lionesses
54:51are now within earshot can you hear that oh my word the girls are up three of them the lady
55:07sebi and matto they've all got up starting to move could get very exciting oh wow
55:25this is quite incredible to see that they are running they're running across the water
55:36after two weeks apart oh happy days
55:42motto their lady sebe and their cubs are reuniting with the other pride mums
55:50tell me that there's a better sighting in life than this i don't think i've ever seen them
55:58in such a huge number the bonds are clearly very strong it's as if they haven't seen each other in
56:05a
56:05lifetime
56:11seeing so many lines moving together you can't help but just feel a sense of strength
56:19i'm feeling it right now
56:29this is the security and safety and numbers that this pride needs
56:36i think we could all breathe a sigh of relief they've survived against the odds
56:49they're falling through the line this is one group i don't want to mess with
56:56coming up on this series of big cats 24 7
57:01there's cats everywhere the couldn't pride is back together there's not enough food to go around
57:07and cracks are beginning to show what i can't believe this to feed so many mouths
57:15the lions must take bigger risks playing with fire leopard mum lediva
57:22is under siege from dangerous males they've proved to be lethal
57:35new life i can see two cubs marks a new beginning we could be seeing the creation of a brand
57:43new pride
57:45she got it
57:48cheetah tea there's a male leopard heading towards bob and her cubs
