Rising fuel costs have started to hit fishmongers ahead of the Easter rush, but many are holding prices steady for customers with industry figures warning the real squeeze could come later in the year.

00:04that's when we're gonna start to sort of fill the pinch.
00:07We have probably won about 10% of the fish prices,
00:1010 to 15% of the fish prices.
00:12You know, it depends.
00:13If it's a short-term thing, we'll bear the cost.
00:16If it's gonna be a very long, long term,
00:18then we might have to look at doing something about it,
00:20but at the moment we don't put our prices up for that yet.

00:24so fish is always a little bit more expensive
00:26at Easter time, supply and demand.
00:29The fuel costs so far haven't really hit us yet.
00:32The fishermen are not too bad at the moment,
00:34during, at the moment, they're sort of holding off.

00:38but we try not to incur any costs.
