00:00:21I'm working here, maybe just a couple of months, and my boss says to me, hey, the art gallery
00:00:29exhibit that we have. I'm taking all that out. I've got a new exhibit. You're not going to believe
00:00:34what I got. Come in the room, and he has reassembled the bed and the nightstands and the mirrors
00:00:43from the room that Lamar Odomo did on, and this is the bed.
00:00:55This is the location of one of the most harrowing experiences of my life.
00:01:02Yeah, it looks like some kind of white stuff coming out of his mouth.
00:01:07And it somehow followed me from the Love Ranch all the way to my next job at the Haunted Museum.
00:01:16Riot to Odomo. Odomo. Oh, drops it down.
00:01:20This story is everywhere, and everyone's buzzing about Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odomo.
00:01:24You have Khloe Kardashian getting married to Lamar Odomoo in this lavish, star-studded wedding.
00:01:32I'm afraid of death. I'm afraid of, you know, not being there.
00:01:37After a week of headlines about possible drug and marital problems, Odomoo has been arrested.
00:01:42Could you imagine if Lamar Odomo would have passed away and they had to really put me in the ground?
00:01:47Lamar Odomo found unconscious at a brothel.
00:01:50Multiple strokes, brain damage.
00:01:51He has not woken up, and the condition is dire.
00:01:56Like, I had 12 strokes and six heart attacks, dude.
00:01:59Like, that's not no average shit.
00:02:02Do you know who this is?
00:02:04This is your son.
00:02:07And we call him LJ.
00:02:10I was dead for three days.
00:02:12I made it, though.
00:02:30Breathe through your nose.
00:02:34Feel the inhale.
00:02:37Let the breath out.
00:02:41Feel your feet.
00:02:44My extra thigh.
00:02:49Carry it up through your spine.
00:02:53Feel the breath going in.
00:02:56And now out.
00:03:00That kind of thing.
00:03:03When I've described the type of methods that I've used over the past 25 years of coaching,
00:03:10we used the term, one breath, one mind.
00:03:13There's a certain sense that I want players to have about what I consider is a correct way or an
00:03:20appropriate way to live life.
00:03:21Because I think it's important for them to continue to grow as young men.
00:03:24I usually say that it's transformational rather than transactional and meeting the individual where he's at.
00:03:32The Lakers offseason started with talks of a 70-plus win season, but now they have a recurring problem to
00:03:38tend to, the on-again, now-off-again relationship between Kobe and Shaquille O'Neal.
00:03:43People wanted me to just kind of level off my play, and I'm not going to do that.
00:03:47I've always wanted to be a team player.
00:03:48And if the big dog ain't me, then the house won't get guarded.
00:03:51Kobe said it doesn't matter whose team it is.
00:03:53No more coming into camp fattened out of shape.
00:03:55Kobe wants to win rings without Shaquille O'Neal.
00:04:00In 2004, Shaq felt he was betrayed a little bit, and the decision was made to stand behind Kobe and
00:04:07make him a long-term part of the Laker organization.
00:04:10The major headline around the league tonight, the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat have agreed to a trade that
00:04:16will send Shaquille O'Neal, one of the greatest big men of all time, to sunny South Florida.
00:04:21So Shaq left, Kobe was there, and Lamar came in the trade.
00:04:26They traded Shaquille O'Neal to Miami for three players who will give L.A.'s roster a very different look.
00:04:32There are big changes that are on this team, and there's some unknowns.
00:04:37You know, we have a lot of young players who have something to prove, and I'm excited.
00:04:42Rhode Island, Lamar, Odom.
00:04:46It's crazy, because I was a clipper for that.
00:04:48...sends it to Odom, Odom, baseline once again.
00:04:51So I was always like, like, damn, it looked good over there.
00:04:56You know, obviously from coming from the Clippers to the Heat, then back to the Lakers was a dream come
00:05:02true.
00:05:03With Lamar, you know, there are things that we kind of accommodated to kind of settle in.
00:05:08He had had one incident, uh, suspension, by the Los Angeles Clippers.
00:05:13I'm not disappointed with myself.
00:05:16I'm not handling myself correctly.
00:05:18Substance abuse, or whatever they called it.
00:05:20And then it had been subsequently traded from them to Miami.
00:05:24It's my new crew, my new crew.
00:05:25He was a player that wasn't used to the discipline of format or intensive training.
00:05:34But you could see that his greatness was also there.
00:05:38Over here by the Lakers, let's see if they can catch him.
00:05:42How about that?
00:05:44And then, really, his teammates supported him.
00:05:47You know, there's a community, and Lamar really likes teams.
00:05:51It's his family.
00:05:55Homerooms were by last name, alphabetical order.
00:05:58So I'm M, he's O.
00:06:00So we met, like, pretty much first day.
00:06:03Sometimes I would see him in the back of the bus,
00:06:05that's where all the cool kids hung out.
00:06:07But other times when I wouldn't see him in the bus,
00:06:09it's because he would show up after the homeroom bell,
00:06:11sometimes putting on his tie.
00:06:13He's half-dressed, brushing his teeth.
00:06:16He was always on his own time.
00:06:18I was seeing somebody that he knew to,
00:06:22and I remember I was, like, crying in homeroom.
00:06:25And Lamar was like, don't cry over him.
00:06:27This is why you need to give me a chance.
00:06:29He always had charisma.
00:06:31Back then, I didn't know it was charisma.
00:06:33Everybody was just always drawn to him.
00:06:35I wasn't unique.
00:06:38He knew how to, pretty much, he knew how to charm.
00:06:42I'll just say that.
00:06:44And these are facts from the Brookings Eye Houses
00:06:48and basketball division.
00:06:51Now, this is his high school picture at Christ the King.
00:06:55Here he is right there.
00:06:57We came to Queens in 1957.
00:07:00I was four, and Kathy was two weeks old.
00:07:05She had seen Lamar when she was 22.
00:07:08And when she had Lamar, she was going to name him Lamont.
00:07:13And I said, Kathy, that's a sissy name.
00:07:15Name him Lamar.
00:07:17So she let me name him Lamar.
00:07:19This is Lamar up here.
00:07:22And God's sons, my nephew, Sherrod.
00:07:26Lamar's father was Joe.
00:07:28They had a big wedding.
00:07:29It was a big wedding.
00:07:31And then after a while, it was a strange, an estranged marriage.
00:07:35My father was a, um, but he gave into, he gave into, you know, into drugs.
00:07:41That's why my mother left him.
00:07:42He didn't want to stop.
00:07:44I see him maybe like once a month.
00:07:46He come through, give me some money or whatever, and leave.
00:07:49But my mom was a real cool, down-to-earth woman.
00:07:53She was pretty, and she was tall.
00:07:56I remember my mother getting sick.
00:07:58We were coming from the Poconos, and she was complaining.
00:08:00Her stomach was hurting.
00:08:02Her first trip in between, you know, going to the hospital and then coming back to the hospital,
00:08:07it was like it was two different people.
00:08:08She had lost so much weight.
00:08:10So they had a diagnosis in January, and she was gone two days after this fourth of July, so July
00:08:176th.
00:08:19She was gone.
00:08:21I want to honor my sister Kathy.
00:08:24She passed away when Lamar was 10.
00:08:27And this is us at a party.
00:08:30You know, I put this here because she's my angel.
00:08:33I just took the basketball and just went to the park.
00:08:37Stayed out a little night and shot the rock.
00:08:41You know, basketball always knew it was going to be my way.
00:08:48When he started playing, the ninth grade, he was like 5'10".
00:08:53Came back, he shot up to 6'7".
00:08:58And then he shot up after that.
00:09:00This guy, Lamar Odom, with the basketball at 6'9", is considered by many people to be the best
00:09:05of the high school class of 1997.
00:09:07At Christ the King, I wound up winning the city championship.
00:09:10I had like 35 points.
00:09:12So I kind of knew about attention.
00:09:15I didn't know how and how much I was going to get.
00:09:18He was becoming more known and getting in headlines and stuff like that.
00:09:24He ended up going to Rhode Island for college.
00:09:27It was only a few hours away, like four hours' drive.
00:09:30And so he would come down to Queens, hang out with his friends.
00:09:34He would see me.
00:09:35It was one of those visits that he came down to Queens and, boop!
00:09:41I ended up getting pregnant with Destiny.
00:09:48And so we had our own little, like, family unit, you know?
00:09:52Mind you, we're like 19, 20 years old.
00:09:54We're babies ourselves.
00:09:55But he wasn't, like, that ever-present father because he couldn't be.
00:10:07Obviously, his goal was to go to the league.
00:10:09So I feel like there was a lot of distractions, a lot of people.
00:10:12He would just introduce me to people.
00:10:14And I would just be like, hi, what am I going to do?
00:10:17That actually happened at our daughter's baptism as well.
00:10:19Somebody shook my hand.
00:10:21You know, who they were?
00:10:21And Lamar wanted him to be the godfather of Destiny.
00:10:23I had never met the man.
00:10:25There's a lot at stake for the star sophomore.
00:10:27He could possibly be the top draft pick in the country.
00:10:31We were all there at the draft.
00:10:33My mother, my cousin Brenda, my sister Sandy was there,
00:10:38Michael's wife, my brother's wife, Wanda.
00:10:40Good evening, and welcome to the 1999 NBA draft.
00:10:45My cousin Gerald, my cousin Lisa, the boys.
00:10:49We got our boys that used to live in the Bronx, the Ohio boys, I call them.
00:10:52With the fourth pick in the 1999 NBA draft,
00:10:55the Los Angeles Clippers select...
00:10:58You know what he told me?
00:10:59Any team but the Clippers.
00:11:01Lamar Odom from the University of Rhode Island.
00:11:10I remember I didn't want him to go to L.A.
00:11:15And I just knew, like, Hollywood, L.A., like, hot mess.
00:11:19Like, you lose your soul.
00:11:23When they ended up coming back from the draft,
00:11:25we were on my stoop, and he was like,
00:11:28you need to come with me to L.A.
00:11:30I need my family.
00:11:31I want you and Destiny with me.
00:11:34And I was like, we're a family,
00:11:37and if he's telling me he wants me to go, I'm gonna go.
00:11:42We got a place in Marina Del Rey.
00:11:45I remember I flew out with his aunt, Janine, and Destiny.
00:11:48You know, when they moved to L.A.
00:11:50and they had the penthouse, I came out there,
00:11:53and I saw how things was going.
00:11:54I said, okay, now we gotta go shopping.
00:11:56That was, like, my first time, like, seeing, like,
00:11:58people who are, like, you know, in the public eye.
00:12:01I was like, wow, these people are, like,
00:12:02people that I see on the TV.
00:12:03Lamar was always gone.
00:12:05He had press.
00:12:05All these things that I had to learn really quickly
00:12:08that this was gonna be his schedule.
00:12:12So I do feel like he was getting more busy and more stressed.
00:12:16And then our son, L.J., is born.
00:12:18So it was a lot in our family, like, timeline.
00:12:24Lamar did really well with the Clippers.
00:12:29But at the time, nobody stayed with the Clippers.
00:12:33And so he knew he wanted to leave,
00:12:35and he ended up going to Miami.
00:12:38Coast to coast, it counts.
00:12:39Got traded for Shaq.
00:12:43And then I got pregnant.
00:12:48Jaden was, he was just so curious.
00:12:52He had big eyes, and he would look around the room.
00:12:57And I do remember I was just exhausted,
00:12:59because he'd be up, like, every two hours,
00:13:00two and a half hours.
00:13:02I did think he'd be my last child.
00:13:04And I remember saying to myself,
00:13:06appreciate this, because something was telling me
00:13:08to enjoy that moment.
00:13:11We went to New York for a funeral for Lamar's aunt.
00:13:15And we had a home, like, on the border
00:13:18of, like, Long Island, Queens.
00:13:21And I remember oversleeping.
00:13:23And I remember, like, oh, I didn't hear Jaden waking up.
00:13:28And my mom was, like, making breakfast for the kids
00:13:30or something.
00:13:31And I was like, oh, I just, I was like,
00:13:33can you believe Jaden's still sleeping?
00:13:35Like, I was like, can you believe that?
00:13:36She was like, really?
00:13:37She's like, he's okay, right?
00:13:38And I was like, yeah.
00:13:40So we just went upstairs.
00:13:41And I just remember, like, turning him over.
00:13:45And his lips were blue.
00:13:49And, uh, yeah, like, and my mother,
00:13:54I just remember my mother just screaming, like,
00:13:56call 911, call 911.
00:13:59I just saw the fire, uh, fireman just grab him up
00:14:04like a football and just ran to the, uh, ambulance.
00:14:13Get to the hospital.
00:14:17And I just remember, like, a woman doctor.
00:14:20And she was just like, I'm so sorry.
00:14:24I was just like, I'm so sorry.
00:14:26And she was just like, we tried everything.
00:14:30And she was like, I'm so sorry.
00:14:34At that point, Lamar, he got to the hospital
00:14:38and, like, they showed him where to go,
00:14:39where the room I was in.
00:14:40And, um, I mean, he was just so cold.
00:14:47And I just knew, like, it was just a shell.
00:14:57Um, sudden infant death syndrome.
00:15:02So, um, when you get the death certificate,
00:15:08it just says not undisclosed, not undescribed.
00:15:14They give you an unword that doesn't really answer any questions.
00:15:20Man would cry too much when he passed away.
00:15:24And then think about the night that he passed away,
00:15:26I was out all night partying with my man.
00:15:31And then the baby just looks like he's asleep.
00:15:35No scars, no hemorrhages, no nothing.
00:15:39Yeah, I remember when my, um, me and my cousin, Sherrod,
00:15:41went to go identify his body.
00:15:44The next day, just look asleep.
00:15:50Well, they say that people that go through that,
00:15:53it either brings them together,
00:15:55it makes them extremely strong,
00:15:57or it brings them apart.
00:16:00It was the summer, and Lamar always went back
00:16:04to get ready for the game.
00:16:08And this time was different.
00:16:12Um, I didn't want to go back.
00:16:15Um, and I told him that.
00:16:20I gotta go back to work.
00:16:23I can, you know what I mean?
00:16:25If you want to stay here and you stay in, you know, New York,
00:16:28and she chose to stay in New York,
00:16:30but move from the place where he, um, passed away from.
00:16:35And, uh, that was that.
00:16:40I just probably just knew my place.
00:16:42I don't know what I'm gonna do.
00:16:43I don't expect people to pity me.
00:16:46You know, it happens.
00:16:51It's just, I mean, it's just something
00:16:52that's gonna make me a much stronger individual.
00:16:56There's been points in my life where it made me, like,
00:16:58I don't know if basketball's gonna make me feel better.
00:17:00Like, you know what I mean?
00:17:01Like, my son dying was one of those times.
00:17:07Like, you know what I mean?
00:17:07We all been through some shit.
00:17:11You know, us being here and then us not being here,
00:17:14it's just like...
00:17:15You know, who the fuck knows?
00:17:18Man, I don't care who your God is.
00:17:21Allah, Jehovah, um, Christ, Kobe.
00:17:28But, um, you will have to give yourself up to something.
00:17:34Good morning.
00:17:35Good morning.
00:17:35Good morning, Paul.
00:17:37Good morning, Paul.
00:17:38Good morning, fans.
00:17:39How y'all doing today?
00:17:40I'm a little bit, I don't know, wakey-wakey,
00:17:44but I'm up.
00:17:47Hanging out in L.A., my agent David Bowman said,
00:17:49the Lakers want to speak to you,
00:17:51uh, they want to sign you.
00:17:52I'm like, what?
00:17:55I just couldn't believe it.
00:17:57Ron Artest joining the Lakers show.
00:17:59Two years ago, he told Kobe Bryant
00:18:00that he wanted to help him win a championship,
00:18:02and now that day has finally arrived.
00:18:04I wanted to be a part of the Lakers for a long time.
00:18:07And then you throw Phil Jackson in the mix.
00:18:09Who would pass on the opportunity?
00:18:11Being a Laker is way different.
00:18:14You know, it's Hollywood.
00:18:15So you're definitely performing for the stars.
00:18:18Where's Tim Z?
00:18:20You not here?
00:18:21I mean, I think the key to L.A. is, like,
00:18:23if you're gonna be here, you might as well level up.
00:18:26I think if you use it the right way,
00:18:28I think it can help you.
00:18:29You know, Lamar means famous throughout the land.
00:18:31That's one of the meanings of the name.
00:18:34You know, me being who I was at the time,
00:18:37I wasn't an extra super, super duper star yet.
00:18:39I still had to cross that path of trying to be A-lister.
00:18:48They don't want to give me my shine.
00:18:50Welcome to L.A. party.
00:18:51Is Chloe on there?
00:18:52I know.
00:18:53I don't think so.
00:18:54That's a horrible flyer.
00:18:55You see that flyer?
00:18:56So I had a welcome to L.A. party.
00:18:59And then, um, I was trying to see
00:19:01who could I get to host my party with me.
00:19:04And Chloe was nice enough to accept.
00:19:06So we paid her $5,000 at the time.
00:19:09Sorry, Chloe.
00:19:09I know your price is way higher now.
00:19:12I'm not exactly sure how I got that gig
00:19:15because I never really knew a lot about basketball.
00:19:21My brother was so excited.
00:19:23So I took the job, or I agreed to do it,
00:19:26really for my brother.
00:19:31She was there.
00:19:32I didn't even know.
00:19:33Honestly, honest to God,
00:19:35I didn't know who she was.
00:19:37It's called Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
00:19:38I'm Chloe.
00:19:39My sisters stay on the bench.
00:19:41I can't.
00:19:42Shut up, everyone.
00:19:44Prior to this party, I did not know who Lamar was.
00:19:47I remember he had a plastic bag.
00:19:49And I was like, what's in your bag?
00:19:52And he's like, candy.
00:19:53And I'm like, you're such a liar.
00:19:56I, like, made up this whole thing.
00:19:57I was like, you probably have condoms in that bag.
00:19:59And I'm like, let me see what's in the bag.
00:20:01And I remember he poured it out,
00:20:02and it was all candy and only candy.
00:20:05And I felt so stupid.
00:20:07You know, the first night, I mean, honestly,
00:20:09I was trying to fuck her the first night.
00:20:10I was like, no, it ain't that type of party.
00:20:14God will her the next day, and then the next day
00:20:16to the next day, and then the next day
00:20:17to the next day, and then the next day
00:20:18to the next day, and then the next day to the next day.
00:20:19Chloe.
00:20:21You're excited.
00:20:22You're excited.
00:20:23Why the hell?
00:20:23Oh, my God.
00:20:27As much as I can say I know her, you know, I knew her,
00:20:30but I don't really know the person in 30 days.
00:20:33Yeah, it's crazy.
00:20:34You got to have a gut feeling like a big dick, some big balls.
00:20:39Which will last longer?
00:20:41The marriage of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom or this pumpkin?
00:20:48I do like to consider myself pretty level-headed.
00:20:53I really do.
00:20:55But the cynicism of people judging
00:20:59and is this a real relationship or is it not,
00:21:02I totally understood.
00:21:03I mean, we were getting married in 30 days.
00:21:06So that is insane.
00:21:09Is Lamar Odom making the biggest mistake
00:21:12any Laker has ever made?
00:21:14Let's go to you.
00:21:17Can't remember what tabloid, but for our wedding,
00:21:20someone wanted the exclusive, and then they said,
00:21:23we want the exclusive of the wedding,
00:21:25but if we do that, can we also get the exclusive
00:21:27of the divorce?
00:21:29Are we going to be best man or what?
00:21:30Woo!
00:21:32You're getting married tomorrow!
00:21:35First, I think he texted me, like,
00:21:37oh, I'm getting married.
00:21:38I really thought he was joking.
00:21:39I said, my God, come on now.
00:21:42That's too soon.
00:21:43I said, things like that don't work out.
00:21:45Falling in love the way we fell in love
00:21:47as quickly as we did is so not my personality.
00:21:53He's so charismatic.
00:21:54He's fun and silly.
00:21:57And then he also is a very vulnerable person.
00:22:00He's very honest about his life
00:22:02and what has transpired in his life.
00:22:04My mom couldn't help wanting to, like,
00:22:07nurture and coddle and care for him.
00:22:09People try to, you know, stare me away,
00:22:12or, you know what I mean?
00:22:13Like, my baby's mother didn't let them come to my wedding,
00:22:17my kids didn't come to my wedding,
00:22:18stuff like that.
00:22:19I never even met her.
00:22:21I don't think he told me he was marrying her.
00:22:24I just didn't want to be a show pony or anything like that.
00:22:29If you want to get married, like,
00:22:30in front of, like, a hundred people
00:22:32and all these cameras, like, that's totally cool,
00:22:35and it's on you.
00:22:36Of course, when you decide to get married to somebody in 30 days,
00:22:39of course it's gonna hurt.
00:22:41And then on top of it,
00:22:42let me just stick it to you a little bit more,
00:22:43it's gonna be on television.
00:22:48Yeah, I went to the wedding.
00:22:50It was unusual.
00:22:51It was a Hollywood thing.
00:22:55I kind of felt sorry for Lamar
00:22:57to maybe have to keep up with that.
00:23:00Ron, any final words, Ron?
00:23:01I know Lamar longer than everybody here,
00:23:04and I'm in, like, the back table.
00:23:06You know what I mean?
00:23:07So me and Lamar still have things to talk about.
00:23:09You know, he didn't invite none of us, you know that.
00:23:11Okay, hold on.
00:23:12None of us.
00:23:12Oh, a pumpkin was there.
00:23:16I knew Lamar as a friend
00:23:18since he was nine years old.
00:23:19I'm five years older,
00:23:20so it was like a big brother that he didn't have.
00:23:23So I wound up going to the wedding that night,
00:23:25and he came and talked me for two hours.
00:23:28He was explaining, like, the move that he's doing.
00:23:31He was doing it to try to better his future.
00:23:36I'm already Lamar older,
00:23:37and I'm just kind of, like,
00:23:39watching how she live and their lifestyle.
00:23:40I'm like, I know this is where I want to be.
00:23:44Like, this is how I want to live.
00:23:48They no mad people.
00:23:50They got mad connections.
00:23:52And then 75, 80% of the guests was 60 to 70 years old.
00:23:57So I'm sitting there saying,
00:23:59where is this coming from?
00:24:01I think he did it because he probably thought I would say,
00:24:04I want to say something.
00:24:06I think that was, like, a power trip for me.
00:24:09Because he took the power that I had, like,
00:24:11Earl Champs and then Kardashian power and Adam.
00:24:14Because of your desire to build a marriage for the ages,
00:24:18from this day forward, you are husband and wife.
00:24:24I wasn't really ready for that power.
00:24:28Lamar loves a camera.
00:24:30I remember I had a photo shoot,
00:24:33and I remember saying,
00:24:35we could hang out for a little bit,
00:24:36but then you have to leave because the camera crew's coming,
00:24:39and we're going to film a little bit later.
00:24:41He was like, why do I have to leave?
00:24:42Because the cameras are coming.
00:24:53Someone was a genius.
00:24:55Reality TV.
00:24:56Whoever brought that up?
00:24:59Trickery.
00:25:00Foolery.
00:25:01Hello, Henry.
00:25:02Henry Longnay.
00:25:04Lamar!
00:25:05Chloe and Lamar was not my idea.
00:25:08Chloe and Lamar was led very much by Lamar.
00:25:11You took me to the cash block.
00:25:13I don't know what that means whenever you say it.
00:25:15I was spread really thin.
00:25:17I also didn't really want it to jeopardize the family brand,
00:25:21which was keeping up at the time.
00:25:23I thought there were so many Kardashian shows.
00:25:26And I reminded him about his main career, the Lakers,
00:25:31and just said, are you sure you want to do it?
00:25:34Queens, this is California.
00:25:36In California, we push people.
00:25:38Oh, she is on one today.
00:25:39We wound up having our own show.
00:25:41And it came on Sundays, which was, you know,
00:25:45like right after the Lakers games.
00:25:46I was on TV twice every Sunday.
00:25:48Wait, Lamar.
00:25:49This is very uncomfortable.
00:25:51I'm sorry.
00:25:51Like, he did love Chloe,
00:25:52but he wanted to be on reality TV for a long time.
00:26:00But part of the deal was that if I'm gonna marry you,
00:26:03fuck it.
00:26:04I want in too.
00:26:04Love it.
00:26:07Let's go, CK.
00:26:09He wanted a different life outside of basketball.
00:26:14Right again.
00:26:16Back to back, please.
00:26:17Lamar Odom.
00:26:18The gag is I used to watch the Kardashians.
00:26:22You should have a picnic out here one day.
00:26:23Oh, let's, it'll be so romantical.
00:26:25With my family show, I bounce around to different homes
00:26:28and it's not under a microscope.
00:26:30So I was a little concerned about a reality show
00:26:33that was gonna be in our home all the time.
00:26:36But I also wanted to do what made him happy
00:26:38and he was so excited about it.
00:26:40I can tell the difference of an NBA fan
00:26:42or someone that knows me as Lammy.
00:26:45Mr. Lammy.
00:26:46He used to call me on the show,
00:26:48which is kind of cool, but it's weird.
00:26:50This one!
00:26:52This one!
00:26:53This one!
00:26:53This one!
00:26:54This one!
00:26:55Honestly, if I'm gonna be honest with you,
00:26:56when he was married to Khloe,
00:26:58I looked forward to Christmas
00:26:59because I was like,
00:27:00hey, I know Chris and Khloe,
00:27:01they're gonna be giving me some good presents.
00:27:03Up the way, Khloe!
00:27:05I think when Odom plays his best,
00:27:07they're almost unbeatable.
00:27:09Bryant to Odom.
00:27:10Oh!
00:27:11Oh!
00:27:11And a foul!
00:27:14In Laker games, at this era,
00:27:17it was the center of the universe.
00:27:18He's never going behind the back!
00:27:20Are you kidding me?
00:27:21All of L.A. was at these games.
00:27:24Odom the drive, pretty.
00:27:26Oh, Lamar Odom.
00:27:27Stepping in rhythm,
00:27:28knocking down Jay.
00:27:30Here's the Lamar Odom show.
00:27:31I'm like, okay,
00:27:33last year I had no idea
00:27:34what even dribbling a basketball meant.
00:27:37Introducing a one-of-a-kind
00:27:38little sex fragrance,
00:27:40Unbreakable,
00:27:40by Khloe and Lamar.
00:27:42I mean, it was the coolest,
00:27:44coolest time in my life.
00:27:45It really was.
00:27:46I mean, I could definitely see a switch
00:27:48in my lifestyle.
00:27:49You're talking about
00:27:50if a red carpet rolled out
00:27:52for you as an individual,
00:27:54now you get the sand carpet.
00:27:59I think they helped me kind of like,
00:28:01step into who I am a little bit more.
00:28:03You're on more commercials than Tiger,
00:28:05and I do believe...
00:28:06Oh!
00:28:07Wait, and I believe
00:28:08you also have a better marriage.
00:28:10Oh!
00:28:10We're both living a rock star
00:28:12kind of lifestyle.
00:28:13I think we drove Kobe crazy, by the way.
00:28:16I'm rapping.
00:28:18Lamar's doing reality shows.
00:28:20But we came to practice.
00:28:23Breathe through your nose.
00:28:27Let the breath out.
00:28:31I was like,
00:28:32I won't say oblivious to it,
00:28:34but like,
00:28:34no, we have too strong a bond here.
00:28:36We're quiet in here.
00:28:37We're kind of centered in here.
00:28:40This is stronger than that.
00:28:42Outside noises.
00:28:45And it worked.
00:28:47Odom to Gasol.
00:28:48Back to Odom.
00:28:49Up and under.
00:28:50And answer in.
00:28:51Lamar Odom emerging with big plays
00:28:53here in the second half.
00:28:55The Los Angeles Lakers
00:28:56are world champions of basketball.
00:29:02About an hour away
00:29:03from the beginning of the parade
00:29:05as it commences at Staples Center
00:29:06and winds its way down Figueroa.
00:29:09I remember when he won
00:29:10the first championship.
00:29:12We wanted to go to the parade
00:29:13and celebrate that moment with him
00:29:15and be a part of it.
00:29:17The parade route
00:29:17that is just lined
00:29:19with exuberant Laker fans
00:29:21and we've got it all for you
00:29:22live throughout the entire morning.
00:29:24They missed school that day.
00:29:25I remember they told me,
00:29:26they told like their classmates,
00:29:27we're not going to be here tomorrow.
00:29:28We're going to the parade.
00:29:30They drove to Manhattan Beach
00:29:31to Lamar's place.
00:29:33They called me.
00:29:33They were like,
00:29:34he's not answering the door,
00:29:35but I know he's in there.
00:29:36We were knocking on the door
00:29:37and there was nothing.
00:29:39It was just silence.
00:29:40Obi, Bean, Brian and family.
00:29:42There he is in a huge ovation.
00:29:44What a day for LA though.
00:29:46One of his friends
00:29:47ended up calling
00:29:48and saying,
00:29:48look, Lamar's here,
00:29:50but like,
00:29:51you know,
00:29:52he partied last night
00:29:53and like,
00:29:54he doesn't want
00:29:55like the kids
00:29:55to see him like this.
00:29:56He doesn't think he's going
00:29:57to the parade.
00:30:00We ended up watching it on TV.
00:30:03And, um,
00:30:04the trainer at the time
00:30:05got his butt up
00:30:06and they were like,
00:30:07you've got to go to the parade.
00:30:08You cannot not show.
00:30:10L.O.
00:30:10as we take a look
00:30:11at Lamar Odom
00:30:12coming onto the bus
00:30:13and just wanting
00:30:14to win a championship
00:30:15and get that stigma
00:30:16off of his back.
00:30:17What a great year for L.O.
00:30:20He was on the float
00:30:21with his trainer
00:30:22and my kids were watching
00:30:23like, wow,
00:30:24he ended up going.
00:30:27And it was just,
00:30:29yeah,
00:30:29they were so devastated.
00:30:30Um,
00:30:31it was terrible.
00:30:35Lamar, man,
00:30:36first of all,
00:30:37how was that ride down here?
00:30:38And what's this scene
00:30:39look like to you?
00:30:39Amazing.
00:30:40Incredible.
00:30:41Never put this day
00:30:42to come in my life.
00:30:43It was beautiful.
00:30:44We always talk about
00:30:45good people,
00:30:47hearts of gold.
00:30:49No one is better
00:30:50than L.O.
00:30:52Lamar Odom.
00:30:57Rejection from a parent
00:30:59is,
00:31:00it's extremely hard
00:31:01and hurtful
00:31:02and it definitely pains
00:31:04your development
00:31:05growing up.
00:31:06There's some moments
00:31:07that, like,
00:31:08you never forget.
00:31:09Well, now I know
00:31:10that, like,
00:31:11he was partying
00:31:13and using.
00:31:18That first hit of cocaine
00:31:19that I took was
00:31:21amazing.
00:31:23I was with a woman
00:31:24and she was with her husband.
00:31:25It was in Miami.
00:31:28You know what I mean?
00:31:30Do I regret it?
00:31:31Fuck yeah.
00:31:33Yeah.
00:31:34Some people regret
00:31:34some of their bust moments
00:31:35in life.
00:31:41I mean, it was a high.
00:31:42I know cocaine
00:31:43is not the way to go,
00:31:44but it's the high
00:31:45that feels so good,
00:31:46you wish you can capture it
00:31:47and put it in a bottle
00:31:49so you can take it,
00:31:50so you can have it
00:31:50the next day.
00:31:52But it don't work
00:31:53like that with drugs.
00:31:56But then you're at the age,
00:31:57too, where, you know,
00:31:58if I use cocaine
00:31:59for a month straight
00:32:00and then I stop
00:32:01and then, you know,
00:32:03work out and eat,
00:32:04I can get my physique back.
00:32:07Well, I mean,
00:32:07he's a team player.
00:32:08He's extremely selfish
00:32:08and I think that's
00:32:09a true mark of a champion.
00:32:11He's the best sixth man
00:32:12in the league this year
00:32:13and he's, you know,
00:32:14beyond well-deserving
00:32:15of the award.
00:32:16to my family,
00:32:18my wife,
00:32:19my mother-in-law
00:32:19and my, you know,
00:32:20my teammates.
00:32:22It's been a long time coming.
00:32:25You know what I'm saying?
00:32:26I've learned so much
00:32:28from, you know,
00:32:29the dudes in my locker room
00:32:31because I'm blessed
00:32:33and, you know,
00:32:34there's a couple of people here
00:32:35I wish that I was here
00:32:37to see it, you know?
00:32:42But...
00:32:44I want to let y'all know
00:32:46I'm thankful, man.
00:32:50At the beginning,
00:32:51it was a recreational party,
00:32:54you sure,
00:32:54but it just,
00:32:55it seemed,
00:32:56as silly as this sounds,
00:32:58it seemed responsibly done.
00:33:02And I think it was two years
00:33:04in around June,
00:33:06he disappeared.
00:33:09I really thought maybe
00:33:10something happened to him.
00:33:11I remember calling anyone
00:33:13and everyone
00:33:14trying to find him.
00:33:15And he did come home.
00:33:17He,
00:33:17I don't want to say blamed a lot,
00:33:20but his reasoning
00:33:21for why this happened
00:33:22was because of Jaden's passing
00:33:24in June
00:33:25is so hard for him.
00:33:26And that was the first time
00:33:28I was like,
00:33:29okay, this is something
00:33:30I've never experienced.
00:33:31This is a dark situation
00:33:34and I don't know what to do.
00:33:39There was the championship parade
00:33:41where you and the kids
00:33:42were all gonna go together,
00:33:44but then you wound up going alone.
00:33:45Do you remember that?
00:33:46I can't say I do.
00:33:48But you know,
00:33:49when you,
00:33:49when you,
00:33:49when you're on drugs,
00:33:50there's always gonna be
00:33:52embarrassment.
00:33:54Especially when you're calling
00:33:55an addiction.
00:33:58I'm pretty sure
00:33:58there's a lot more stories
00:34:00that I can't really remember
00:34:01because of where I was at
00:34:03at that time in my life.
00:34:06You know,
00:34:07a lot of people do drugs
00:34:08and they had the best,
00:34:09you know, 15 minute high
00:34:10of their life
00:34:11and they didn't wait to do it
00:34:14next Friday
00:34:15or a week after they did it.
00:34:17And some people,
00:34:19when you do it,

00:34:27I think this is where
00:34:28he felt his dark side
00:34:30started to come.
00:34:32He lost track
00:34:33of what reality was in life.
00:34:35You know,
00:34:36he's in this bubble
00:34:37with this thing.
00:34:45I remember,
00:34:46even in high school,
00:34:48first report card,
00:34:49ninth grade year,
00:34:51I fell four classes.
00:34:53And it wasn't a,
00:34:55um,
00:34:57I'm like,
00:34:57a repercussion.
00:34:58Like,
00:35:00and it didn't get no better.
00:35:03Like,
00:35:04I don't know,
00:35:04like,
00:35:04when I'm thinking about it,
00:35:05like,
00:35:06cheating on my wife.
00:35:07I don't know,
00:35:08like,
00:35:09how sick would your brain have to be?
00:35:11If you,
00:35:11you know who you are,
00:35:13like,
00:35:13what the fuck would make you think
00:35:14that you would marry this woman
00:35:15on TV
00:35:16and then
00:35:17go have
00:35:19affairs?
00:35:20I'm gonna keep Hagen.
00:35:22Unbreakable.
00:35:23I'm gonna keep Makin.
00:35:24Makin.
00:35:26Makin.
00:35:26And if
00:35:28Chloe is on this town,
00:35:30I guess I'll still be on that table.
00:35:33He had said to me one time,
00:35:35I'll be partying with people that
00:35:36they could party for six months
00:35:38and go to work.
00:35:40And I'm sitting there saying,
00:35:41what crowd you around now?
00:35:44I can remember one night
00:35:45going to
00:35:46Big Bear
00:35:48and
00:35:49I'm getting
00:35:50high
00:35:50out of my fucking mind.
00:35:53The girl that I was with
00:35:55at the time,
00:35:56she must have been so,
00:35:58so blown back by it
00:35:59that she must have took my phone
00:36:01and
00:36:03contacted my wife.
00:36:04I'm calling him again.
00:36:06He's missing.
00:36:07I can't find him.
00:36:08And then out of the blue,
00:36:10I get this call
00:36:10and I'm
00:36:11like, hello?
00:36:12And she's like, hi,
00:36:13I've been fucking your husband.
00:36:15He
00:36:16is so fucked up
00:36:17and he just keeps wanting money
00:36:19and drugs
00:36:19and I gotta get off this ride.
00:36:21So will you come and pick him up?
00:36:23She's like, I called your mom
00:36:24a little bit ago
00:36:25because I didn't know if I should call you.
00:36:28I never knew for sure
00:36:31that he was sleeping with other people.
00:36:32Of course,
00:36:32I had suspicions,
00:36:34but I never had anything tangible.
00:36:36I can remember
00:36:37me taking a big line of cocaine.
00:36:42And all I hear is,
00:36:44blammy!
00:36:45And I see Kris Jenner's face
00:36:48come around the, um...
00:36:52the doorway.
00:36:57It became, um...
00:36:59crazy is when, like,
00:37:01the word out in the streets
00:37:03hit, like,
00:37:04I'm always a coke head
00:37:05or he does coke.
00:37:06It didn't...
00:37:06It became a nuisance
00:37:08when they wanted to find me
00:37:09doing something
00:37:10that I wasn't supposed to do.
00:37:13So you don't have a drug problem, right?
00:37:15No.
00:37:15No?
00:37:17Do you think you need
00:37:17professional help?
00:37:18No.
00:37:19Smoking to Chloe, man?
00:37:20Take care.
00:37:21Of course.
00:37:21That's my wife, bro.
00:37:23That's how you're talking to, huh?
00:37:24Of course.
00:37:26If you could go back
00:37:28and you have the timeline
00:37:29of all these dates
00:37:30and all these important events
00:37:31in his life,
00:37:32and you go all the way back,
00:37:33he had no foundation.
00:37:35And then you get married
00:37:36and all the pressure of it,
00:37:37and then you're on a championship team,
00:37:39and you can't keep up a facade anymore.
00:37:42It's all gonna crash.
00:37:47Don't antagonize it.
00:37:48You just told him
00:37:49don't run me over.
00:37:50Now you're trying to antagonize it.
00:37:53You know, you wonder where your dad is.
00:37:55You know, where is he at?
00:37:55What is he doing?
00:37:56You know, obviously, I miss him.
00:37:58You know, I want to see him,
00:37:59but, you know, he wasn't,
00:38:00he wasn't there.
00:38:02All these things were happening.
00:38:04The drug buildup
00:38:05was getting worse and worse.
00:38:06And then there were many times
00:38:07Lamar would go for 12 hours
00:38:09or two days
00:38:10and escape rehab
00:38:11and go to drug bender
00:38:12and no one could find him
00:38:13and whatever.
00:38:15I was either looking for him in alleys,
00:38:18looking for him in motels.
00:38:19He would have tinfoil cutouts
00:38:21or spoons
00:38:22and freebasing things
00:38:23and leaving things everywhere.
00:38:24And I remember
00:38:25needing to go to hotel rooms
00:38:27to clean up after him.
00:38:29So the housekeeping didn't sell a story.
00:38:31I was such an enabler
00:38:33without knowing
00:38:34I was an enabler.
00:38:35But I just felt
00:38:37such a responsibility
00:38:38to cover this up,
00:38:40hold it together
00:38:40and protect him.
00:38:43Being an addict to sex
00:38:45or drugs,
00:38:47they don't have no race,
00:38:49color, or creed.
00:38:51What's done in the dark
00:38:52comes out in the light.
00:38:54Another thing my grandmother
00:38:55just told me.
00:38:59I don't believe in what y'all do.
00:39:01You feel what I'm saying?
00:39:02I don't believe
00:39:02in following people around.
00:39:04Me and that girl fell in love.
00:39:06You feel me?
00:39:06If we want to give you in,
00:39:07if we want to let you in our house,
00:39:09we can let you in.
00:39:10Right.
00:39:10And we can kick you out
00:39:11at the same time.
00:39:12When I really discovered
00:39:14that there was a problem,
00:39:16he was like,
00:39:16you cannot tell anyone,
00:39:17I'll lose it all.
00:39:19And if I lose it,
00:39:20where are we going to live?
00:39:21What are we going to do?
00:39:22And at the time,
00:39:22I was 24,
00:39:24I'm still trying to figure out
00:39:25my life.
00:39:26I had the show,
00:39:27but we weren't,
00:39:28like, making money like that.
00:39:30I remember just keeping
00:39:32all these secrets
00:39:33and feeling horrible
00:39:34about myself.
00:39:35I think youth
00:39:36had a lot to play with it.
00:39:38My first real love.
00:39:40And then you just feel
00:39:42for this person
00:39:43and then you sort of
00:39:43rationalize,
00:39:44well, this person died
00:39:46and this person
00:39:46and my dad's a heroin addict
00:39:48and of course you're like this.
00:39:50So now let me try
00:39:50to fix you and show you
00:39:52if I love you enough,
00:39:54I'm going to make you better.
00:39:56But I was fighting
00:39:58every single day
00:40:00either to protect him,
00:40:01to not let him get caught,
00:40:04which sounds insane,
00:40:05to make sure his image,
00:40:07how he looked,
00:40:08how he presented himself
00:40:09to the outwardly world
00:40:10was still that Lamar Odom.
00:40:13I didn't sleep for years.
00:40:15I had an enormous amount
00:40:16of power in the city.
00:40:17My wife was just as popular as I was.
00:40:19How's your sister doing?
00:40:20I was just sick.
00:40:22Then everything just changed.
00:40:26I remember he was driving
00:40:28to the Laker facility
00:40:29to go to practice
00:40:30and he was listening to the radio.
00:40:33Lamar is being reported
00:40:34that you're about
00:40:35to be traded to Dallas.
00:40:37He was like,
00:40:38how does the radio know?
00:40:39I've given you guys so much
00:40:42and I'm finding out this way
00:40:44that I'm being just traded
00:40:46somewhere else.
00:40:47It sort of started spiraling
00:40:49a lot from there.
00:40:51I would think that I wouldn't
00:40:52be treated like a number.
00:40:53I thought I was going to be here
00:40:54the rest of my whole life.
00:40:56And I don't know,
00:40:57I think maybe I rubbed people
00:40:59the wrong way.
00:41:00Maybe we're doing the show.
00:41:02I found my wife in L.A.,
00:41:04my family.
00:41:05L.A. is a part of me.
00:41:06It's still hard to see
00:41:08one of my friends
00:41:09and one of our great players
00:41:11go somewhere,
00:41:12seemingly for nothing.
00:41:13Now, whether they have
00:41:14something else going on,
00:41:15you know, it's,
00:41:15that's on them to decide,
00:41:17but it's tough, man.
00:41:18It's tough.
00:41:19First time basketball
00:41:21was filled with,
00:41:22you know what I mean?
00:41:24The drug use
00:41:25that transpired
00:41:27from the Dallas trade
00:41:28was monstrous.
00:41:31When you learned
00:41:32that the Lakers
00:41:33had traded you,
00:41:34what was your immediate
00:41:35thought then?
00:41:37I was surprised.
00:41:39Um, I was surprised
00:41:41just because I didn't
00:41:42hear anything.
00:41:44But, um, I mean,
00:41:46I couldn't have landed
00:41:46in a more, you know,
00:41:49in a, in a,
00:41:50just in a great situation.
00:41:52I've just never seen
00:41:53so many drugs
00:41:54in such a dark spot,
00:41:55just such a dark aura
00:41:57around us.
00:41:59They weren't testing
00:42:00for certain painkillers,
00:42:01and he knew which ones
00:42:03they weren't,
00:42:03and he was freebasing
00:42:06painkillers.
00:42:08Well, right before Christmas,
00:42:10because I remember
00:42:10I had like a gingerbread house,
00:42:12I tried to make it
00:42:13so cute in this hotel.
00:42:14He was locked
00:42:15in the hotel bathroom
00:42:16for maybe four days,
00:42:18just doing drugs.
00:42:20Has no concept of time,
00:42:21miserable.
00:42:22He would, I think,
00:42:24maybe leave to go
00:42:25and do a practice
00:42:26or whatever.
00:42:26He was horrible
00:42:27because he was so fucked up
00:42:29and high.
00:42:31This year was a very tough year.
00:42:33We are...
00:42:34So the cameras
00:42:34did not affect the career?
00:42:36No.
00:42:36No.
00:42:37He got, I will say,
00:42:39kicked off of the Mavs.
00:42:41We were only there
00:42:43for a few months.
00:42:45I'll come back,
00:42:46I'm signed with the Clippers,
00:42:47but now I weigh like 300 pounds.
00:42:49That probably was the most
00:42:50embarrassing time
00:42:51of my athletic career
00:42:52because I was using drugs.
00:42:54Drugs so heavenly
00:42:54the way I had to check myself
00:42:55into a rehab.
00:42:57There are reports
00:42:58that Lamar Odom
00:42:59is in a Los Angeles hotel
00:43:01where friends
00:43:01are trying to get him help
00:43:03for an unspecified
00:43:04drug problem.
00:43:04Whenever the Clippers
00:43:05season ended,
00:43:06he spiraled again
00:43:08and did crazy drugs.
00:43:10How do you go from
00:43:11sixth man of the year
00:43:12to averaging six points
00:43:14a game?
00:43:14I said,
00:43:15because he don't want
00:43:15to be there.
00:43:16He's miserable.
00:43:17He overdosed a few times.
00:43:18I had to pump his stomach.
00:43:20I'll privately get him to read
00:43:21at home detox centers.
00:43:23We did everything we could.
00:43:25Lamar,
00:43:25are the rumors true
00:43:26that you're addicted
00:43:27to crack cocaine, Lamar?
00:43:29That's my camera, bro.
00:43:30What about Lamar?
00:43:32Do you know that he's been
00:43:33on drugs for a while
00:43:33or is this news for you?
00:43:35Have a good day, guys.
00:43:35Last year on my birthday,
00:43:37I lied to everyone
00:43:39because I had to lie
00:43:40and say I was with my husband
00:43:42when in fact my husband
00:43:44was missing
00:43:45with another girl.
00:43:51I was advised to do this intervention.
00:43:55And the interventionist said,
00:43:57you're going to go in there
00:43:58and you're going to tell him
00:43:59you need to go to rehab.
00:44:01And if you don't stay
00:44:02for a three month program,
00:44:04you're going to say
00:44:05you're getting a divorce.
00:44:07Everyone around me was like,
00:44:09he'll never say he wants the divorce.
00:44:12We do the intervention.
00:44:14I give my speech.
00:44:18And he's like,
00:44:20okay, all I want is my passport
00:44:21and yeah, let's get the fucking divorce.
00:44:23I was like looking around like,
00:44:26wait, wait, I don't want the divorce.
00:44:31You guys told me I have to say this.
00:44:36Lamar left immediately,
00:44:38was like, we're getting the fucking divorce
00:44:41and I'm never coming back here again.
00:44:50I found the divorce papers.
00:44:53And so right when I signed the divorce papers,
00:44:55I'm like,
00:44:59I'm going to get it in.
00:45:01The bunny ranch I used to always see on TV.
00:45:04But I don't have any coke to take.
00:45:07Fuck.
00:45:08It's crazy.
00:45:09When you think about one decision
00:45:11so big or so minor,
00:45:14could be so pivotal
00:45:16to you and to people that you really love.
00:45:28So you can see how long it took for us to drive out here
00:45:32and how far this actually is.
00:45:35I haven't been out here in years.
00:45:38And I don't even know what we're going to find.
00:45:41But you can see why we probably questioned initially
00:45:46whether or not this was really Lamar Odom
00:45:49that was contacting these girls to come out here,
00:45:54given how far removed it is.
00:45:57We just crossed a cattle guard, if that tells you anything.
00:46:00I'm from Fort Worth, Texas, originally.
00:46:03Worked in radio there for a number of years.
00:46:07And that's actually how I came to work at the brothel.
00:46:11Dennis Hoff was a regular guest on my radio show.
00:46:15Let's welcome back to the show for the 138,000th time.
00:46:20Ladies and gentlemen, Dennis Hoff.
00:46:22Dennis, what's going on, man?
00:46:23Good afternoon, Big Dick. I am so excited.
00:46:26He was the Sam Walton of brothels.
00:46:28He was trying to corner the market on legal prostitution.
00:46:32I'm buying every brothel I can
00:46:34and want to turn it into a public company,
00:46:36and it's going to be a great, successful public company.
00:46:39Everybody knows the Bunny Ranch.
00:46:40That was the one where the HBO Cat House series was filmed.
00:46:44But he had bought another, I think, three up north.
00:46:49But then down here in southern Nevada,
00:46:51a couple had come up for sale as well,
00:46:53and he bought the Love Ranch.
00:46:55Dennis Hoff, what's up, my man?
00:46:56Hi, how are you? Having a good time, huh?
00:46:58It's everywhere, man. It's in the air.
00:47:01It would tell you a lot of what you needed to know about Dennis
00:47:04to know that he was a former timeshare condo salesman.
00:47:09He brought a lot of that.
00:47:12Sometimes the travel is as good as the destination.
00:47:15The saying is, the sex is like a joke.
00:47:17Some get it, some don't.
00:47:18The ones that don't come here.
00:47:20As the years progressed, and his brand got bigger,
00:47:23he needed somebody to manage his media.
00:47:26And that is really what brought me out here
00:47:29to work with Dennis full-time.
00:47:34Okay, here we are.
00:47:35It's the old sign.
00:47:37And, uh, guess what?
00:47:41The whole thing's been torn down.
00:47:53Well, I can show you where it was.
00:47:58There's a lot of misnomers about how legal prostitution works in Nevada.
00:48:04The biggest one is that people think prostitution is legal everywhere in Nevada.
00:48:11It's not.
00:48:13There are some 43 legal brothels in Nevada.
00:48:16However, none of them in Reno or Las Vegas,
00:48:19where pandering is definitely illegal.
00:48:21It is only legal in counties that have below 300,000 or 400,000 people.
00:48:29That's why, to get to a legal brothel, you have to drive an hour outside of Las Vegas.
00:48:35But at least here, you don't have to go through all of the problems you go through at marriage.
00:48:39What you're gonna find is various levels of quality.
00:48:44There are some nicer places.
00:48:46This is the kitchen.
00:48:48This is the bar.
00:48:49And this is the orgy room.
00:48:51There are also some brothels that really aren't anything more than a single wide trailer
00:48:57out in the middle of nowhere that you wouldn't even want to set foot in.
00:49:02The Love Ranch was a series of fabricated homes that were linked together.
00:49:10So this was not the lap of luxury.
00:49:16This was the walkway that we just came up.
00:49:19This would have been like the patio.
00:49:21And then the front door was right here.
00:49:23Hello.
00:49:24Hey, it's Lola Marks.
00:49:25Hello.
00:49:26And Amber.
00:49:27Smokin' Amber.
00:49:28How are you guys today?
00:49:29We're doing good, thank you.
00:49:30This whole area was a bar.
00:49:33There was another door that you would come in right here.
00:49:35And here's the bar.
00:49:36And here's the bar.
00:49:39And then everything out here would have been all the modular units connected to each other.
00:49:46I was having breakfast with Larry Flint and Judy Flint one morning.
00:49:50Dennis himself, his word was, are you a celebrity?
00:49:56Are you acknowledging me?
00:49:58And how famous are you?
00:50:00But it was pretty rare that a celebrity, certainly anybody above the D-list, would be actively trying to come
00:50:12out to one of the brothels.
00:50:14This was kind of a myth.
00:50:16I mean, this was something Dennis perpetuated.
00:50:18I've invited President Obama to come to the Bunny Ranch in a friendly environment.
00:50:22But I don't know that this has been talked about a lot or maybe even ever that Lamar Odom actually
00:50:29began contacting several of the girls from the Love Ranch on Instagram.
00:50:34And, you know, it was one of those things where, yeah, I heard it, but you don't know if these
00:50:39things are really real.
00:50:39Being a professional athlete, there's a lot of easier ways to do this than to drive an hour outside of
00:50:49the city into the desert, walk into a brothel such as it was, and want to live there for a
00:50:56few days, essentially.
00:50:58As the days progressed, I remember that him or one of his handlers or someone actually contacted the brothel and
00:51:08wanted a car to pick him up.
00:51:10So it definitely became real when he gave us the address of where he was at.
00:51:16The car went and picked him up, and the driver called the Love Ranch and said, yep, it's him, and
00:51:22we're in the car, and we're on the way back out there.
00:51:28When you think about pivotal memories in your past, it is weird to get definitive confirmation that one of those
00:51:34locations has been completely erased from existence.
00:51:41911, where is your mission?
00:51:44We need an ambulance.
00:51:46I remember it was early in the week. It was like a Monday or Tuesday or something like that.
00:51:49It was a very slow day.
00:51:51The Love Ranch had, like, a separate house behind the brothel.
00:51:56If you were spending enough money, we'd put you in that house.
00:51:59And I knew Lamar was there.
00:52:02He'd been there for, I think, the last two days at that point.
00:52:05So I'm sitting at my desk, I'm working, and one of the girls that was with him comes running into
00:52:12my office screaming,
00:52:15Oh, my God, Richard, come quick, something's happening tomorrow, something's happening, something's happening.
00:52:22I run into the room, it gets completely blacked out, all the shades were pulled, everything.
00:52:28The first thing I remember is the sound, because he was snoring so heavily, like, something was wrong.
00:52:39I said we needed to call 911.
00:52:41Um, I'm at the Love Ranch at 300 Avaluza Lane. I just called them.
00:52:45They said they were going to send somebody out, but I just wanted to let them know that they...
00:52:49Can you tell me, please?
00:52:50Okay, is he conscious?
00:52:51No.
00:52:54And I'm explaining to the operator what is going on.
00:52:58So what side do you have him turned on?
00:52:59On his right side.
00:53:02Can you, uh, see if you can get him on his left side?
00:53:05On each one, did you grab a leg?
00:53:06Okay.
00:53:07I need to move him down on his side.
00:53:09You know, he's a giant.
00:53:10This guy is like seven feet tall and 350 pounds, huge.
00:53:14When I got him on his side, he just expelled.
00:53:20Fluid starts coming out of his mouth.
00:53:23It looks like some kind of white stuff coming out of his mouth and his nose, too.
00:53:27Do you know if he took anything right before this happened?
00:53:29He had told one of the girls that he had had some cocaine before he arrived at the brothel.
00:53:35Now, that would have been two days prior.
00:53:38The girl that had been with him said he also took these and she pulls up this packet.
00:53:45Something called Reload Sexual Performance Enhancer for Men.
00:53:50And I asked her, how many of these did he take?
00:53:54And she said, probably 12.
00:53:57And I looked at the package and the package said, don't take more than one every 24 hours.
00:54:08The EMTs came in the room and there was three of them.
00:54:12Because of his size, they weren't going to be able to get him on the stretcher to wheel him out.
00:54:16So we had to pull up the fitted sheet that he was on on the bed.
00:54:22And each of those three guys took a corner and I took the fourth corner.
00:54:26And we held the sheet like this.
00:54:29And we walked him out of the suite.
00:54:35And when the sun hit his face, and I had one of the corners that was up by his head,
00:54:40I looked down at his face.
00:54:42And I just remember thinking, this guy may be dead.
00:54:52I remember I called my girlfriend.
00:54:54And I said, everything's okay, with me anyway.
00:54:58But I'm at a hospital with Lamar Odom.
00:55:03He's in the ER and he is in a bad way.
00:55:08You're probably going to start hearing about this on the news.
00:55:12Former Lakers player Lamar Odom is fighting for his life at Sunrise Hospital.
00:55:17He was rushed there after days of partying at the Love Ranch brothel.
00:55:23I was doing a photo shoot for People Magazine.
00:55:26And the night before, I had a dream about Lamar that he was dead.
00:55:31And I was at his funeral and I was sobbing.
00:55:34In my interview, Kim called me three times.
00:55:38I get in the car, I call her, and she's like, Lamar overdosed.
00:55:41He's in Vegas.
00:55:43And I just remember screaming.
00:55:47It was like eight o'clock.
00:55:48Just like about to head to bed.
00:55:51And my mom came in.
00:55:54She was like, I just got a text like saying like, they just read TMZ and your dad's like in
00:56:02a coma.
00:56:03I just remember the room being like heavy.
00:56:05If that makes sense.
00:56:06It felt like the walls were kind of like closing in.
00:56:11We didn't know details yet.
00:56:12And my mom was just distraught.
00:56:15She was just trying to make phone calls and just like, um, how do we get to Vegas?
00:56:20Looks like a very dire situation right now.
00:56:23Right.
00:56:23Well, he was found around 315 by two of the girls at the Love Ranch.
00:56:28And reportedly, and according to a police report, he had liquid coming out of his nose, his mouth, and he
00:56:34was unconscious.
00:56:34So we get to the hospital.
00:56:37His dad was there.
00:56:39I assume thought he's now the beneficiary to Lamar.
00:56:44And Joe just said, don't put him on life support.
00:56:47Turn those machines off.
00:56:48And I remember walking in around that time.
00:56:52And I kid you not, it was a scene out of a movie.
00:56:55And I'm like, sorry, Joe, I'm still his wife.
00:56:58What do you need?
00:56:59And Joe wanted a pair of Nikes and $100 at a hotel room for the night.
00:57:03And Joe left and never came back.
00:57:06This is my husband.
00:57:08Through sickness and health, I have to be there for him.
00:57:11I have to show up for him.
00:57:12And I was going to do everything I could to make sure that he had the best fighting chance.
00:57:17And I just trusted myself more than I trusted anyone in his circle.
00:57:22His former wife, Khloe Kardashian, at his side.
00:57:25And because of a backlog in the courts, their divorce is not final.
00:57:29And she alone is making medical decisions on his behalf.
00:57:34He had a lot of brain damage on the left side of his body.
00:57:37And his lungs collapsed.
00:57:39They were like, OK, this surgery, there's like a 10% chance it will work.
00:57:43Or he might die on the table.
00:57:45And Kobe Bryant was there.
00:57:48And he helped me make the decision of doing the surgery.
00:57:51We got his lungs to work and he didn't die.
00:57:54But he fell into a coma.
00:57:57For the very first time since their father was brought here to Sunrise Hospital,
00:58:02Lamar Odom's children are now in Las Vegas to be with their father.
00:58:06The news was still saying, like, he's been in a coma for, like, two days.
00:58:09And I was like, I can at least, like, say my goodbyes.
00:58:15Prayers for Lamar, I believe, was trending.
00:58:17Like, the world was, like, literally praying for him.
00:58:21Because it's bigger than basketball.
00:58:23It's bigger than being a reality TV husband.
00:58:25Like, people, I think people genuinely saw this is a man broken and full of pain.
00:58:33When we went into the hospital room, like, it was hard seeing him all tubed up and everything.
00:58:40He was so swollen.
00:58:41I remember how swollen he was.
00:58:43It did look like he was just sleeping.
00:58:47And, um, I just grabbed his hand and I, I said everything.
00:58:51I was like, you can't leave.
00:58:52Like, we, we, we still have, like, memories to make.
00:58:56Uh-uh.
00:58:58He was in a coma for, I want to say, like, three days, four days.
00:59:03Twelve strokes.
00:59:04I think it was six heart attacks, which is unheard of.
00:59:08Sources close to Odom tell our sister network that Lamar Odom is hooked up to a ventilator in a coma
00:59:13and likely suffered brain damage.
00:59:17The doctor said, um, he may not be able to respond to you or, like, talk back to you, but
00:59:22he could hear you while, while he's in a coma.
00:59:24I think it was 2003, 2002, where Jay-Z, you know, Fat Joe, when they had that big basketball tournament
00:59:33in New York City, he played for Jay-Z's team.
00:59:36And, um, in a clip, in a highlight.
00:59:38He's got a skip to him.
00:59:39He's got a skip to him.
00:59:40What is he going to do?
00:59:41Like, he makes a good move.
00:59:43Sham gaza between some dude's legs.
00:59:45The crowd goes crazy.
00:59:51And then he does a little dance, a little shimmy.
00:59:57Yeah, I always just played that clip for him, you know, so he could hear it.
01:00:04Still seeing some activity out in front of the hospital at this point.
01:00:07TMZ is reporting that Lamar Odom is in a coma.
01:00:10One woman told me Khloe Kardashian was here last night to be by Odom's side.
01:00:14Some people got to see him, some people didn't.
01:00:16We had no control over that.
01:00:18Chloe had control over that.
01:00:19I had filters on who I would let into the hospital.
01:00:24That's very true.
01:00:25At the very beginning, I would let people come in.
01:00:28And then I found out, like, three of them were drug dealers that were wanting to collect money, rummaging through
01:00:35his personal bags.
01:00:36And when that happened is when I said, we're on lockdown.
01:00:41Whoever wants to come, I need to authorize them being here.
01:00:46Literally, we were coming out of the elevator.
01:00:48The whole family was with me.
01:00:49And Christiana's bodyguard was like, before you come onto this floor, you guys got to sign this.
01:00:54And I was looking at him, and he was like, not you.
01:00:58And I was like, I thought so.
01:00:59So they didn't give me the NDA, but they gave it to this whole family.
01:01:01It got so bad that somebody must have told the cops because the Vegas PD came upstairs with, like, five
01:01:09cops, two German shepherds.
01:01:11It was very intimidating.
01:01:13But I think it was, like, to keep the peace, but yet it made it kind of worse, kind of
01:01:17triggering.
01:01:17And Destiny also had to be like, my father is down the hall.
01:01:22Like, we are praying for him to wake up.
01:01:24Like, we don't need this.
01:01:25Like, stop.
01:01:31Death is something we're all going to go through.
01:01:33And in my family, Lamar knows this.
01:01:36My mother said it.
01:01:38I say it.
01:01:39The kids say it.
01:01:41Whatever don't kill you makes you stronger.
01:01:44And we some strong people.
01:01:49Before all the media trucks had really gotten there, everything really started to sink in.
01:01:55Because the adrenaline dump happened, and my part of this, at least in real time dealing with it, is done.
01:02:02All of a sudden, there appears this guy.
01:02:06And he comes up to me, and he identifies himself as somebody from Lamar's team.
01:02:12He says, Lamar has a backpack that he brought with him to the brothel.
01:02:19I said, I'm not authorized to turn anything over until I hear from my boss.
01:02:25He says, listen, right now, no one knows anything about this.
01:02:32And I'm sure your boss would like to keep it that way.
01:02:37And boy, I thought to myself, you, sir, do not know Dennis Hoff.
01:02:43The owner of the brothel where Lamar Odom was found unresponsive is speaking out tonight.
01:02:47He was in a good mood.
01:02:48He just wanted to have a good time.
01:02:49He just wanted a little peace and quiet.
01:02:51He said he was doing cocaine before he got there on Saturday.
01:02:54It's a hard day in the brothel business.
01:02:55The very first words out of his mouth are, okay, I've called TMZ.
01:02:59I've told the National Enquirer that they can have the exclusive interview, but TMZ's gonna break the source.
01:03:05Well, everything was fine until Tuesday morning.
01:03:08He was just there to have a good time.
01:03:09Hold on. I didn't know you had extended stay.
01:03:12He realizes he's got a couple of chips here.
01:03:14Everybody wants the receipt that Lamar signed.
01:03:17He paid a tab of $75,000 up front.
01:03:21And they also want the footage.
01:03:23And so a bidding war ensues.
01:03:25We're getting word that there is video of him during his stay at the ranch.
01:03:29The ranch's owner, Dennis Hoff, confirmed the video exists, but says the current bid was at $50,000.
01:03:34The deal Dennis finally strikes is he gives it to the Today Show.
01:03:40And the deal he works out is, uh, Matt Lauer sitting there.
01:03:44And he says, uh, joining us now is the owner of the Love Ranch and the author of The Art
01:03:54of the Pimp, available in bookstores everywhere, Dennis Hoff.
01:03:59If I didn't know it before, I knew after that.
01:04:02That in terms of what we were gonna do or being, would be willing to do for publicity, there wasn't
01:04:09a limit.
01:04:15The news broke this afternoon that Lamar Odom woke up after nearly three days of being unconscious.
01:04:20A close friend of Odom's tells us he's now off of breathing tubes and even opened his eyes.
01:04:26Poi, are you worried about Lamar?
01:04:28Do you think Lamar's ready to die if he doesn't get straight?
01:04:32What do you think, Poi?
01:04:34Are you gonna try to help Lamar?
01:04:37Each and every day that Odom's health slightly improves, security around the hospital heightens.
01:04:42So many people so desperate to catch a glimpse of the former NBA star or possibly a Kardashian,
01:04:48were told some have dressed up as security guards and nurses to try and get in.
01:04:56Woke up three days later, ripping tubes and shit out of my neck.
01:05:00I still got the scar from it.
01:05:03It's ripping the shit out of my neck and my face.
01:05:07I'm freaking out and I'm calling the nurse and he pulls this tube out and he looks around and he
01:05:12says,
01:05:12hey baby, and falls back asleep.
01:05:15I'm like, what the fuck just happened?
01:05:18You know they say like when you wake up from a coma, you don't know what the fuck is going
01:05:21on and shit like that.
01:05:22You're just pulling the shit all out your neck and everything.
01:05:26And then I got the reminders right here.
01:05:29These are the TMZ photos of the helicopter that transported Lamar Odom to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
01:05:36Where he will reportedly undergo six hours of dialysis a day.
01:05:40We support Lamar, you know, Queens Bridge, Ravenswood, all his friends back home.
01:05:45I'm going to let Lamar do his thing.
01:05:46Go set Lamar up.
01:05:48How's Lamar holding up?
01:05:49Hi Lamar, this is Monica Monroe from Love Ranch.
01:05:52Dennis and the team just want to wish you well in your recovery.
01:05:56Any words for Lamar?
01:05:57Love you, dude.
01:05:57Wish Lamar a happy birthday for us.
01:06:00It's hard to focus on a lot of other things right now.
01:06:03Lamar is a brother to me.
01:06:04My prayers are with him.
01:06:05It's tough thinking about him just laying there.
01:06:10When I woke up, I couldn't hold my bow.
01:06:13So you can imagine the humility of being in Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
01:06:19Yeah, I won two championships.
01:06:20I'm on my own.
01:06:21I can't walk.
01:06:22I can't talk.
01:06:22And they come to check my diaper.
01:06:27My wife was around me.
01:06:31She helped wipe some of the shit up.
01:06:37I never left the hospital.
01:06:38I was there for about four months with him every single day.
01:06:42We were, like, determined to get him walking and moving again.
01:06:47Do shoulder press.
01:06:49Come on, you.
01:06:50Come on, you.
01:06:51Shoulder press.
01:06:53Some of the circuits weren't connecting to different outlets of his brain.
01:06:57Yes, you're close. There you go.
01:07:01But Lamar's determination that's just rooted in his body is what got him to being where he is.
01:07:11And he did learn how to walk again at Cedars.
01:07:15And that was really special.
01:07:18Now you're smiling.
01:07:19I'm smiling?
01:07:20Yeah.
01:07:24You're doing so well.
01:07:26I know this is the first time that you've sat down live, and you are fully willing to talk about
01:07:32the journey that you've been through with Lamar.
01:07:35He's doing great.
01:07:36But, you know, it's a long journey.
01:07:38And it's every day is different.
01:07:40We take every day as it comes.
01:07:41I've learned not to look into the future too much.
01:07:44I try to live every day as it comes.
01:07:46And I'm just, 2016 is a good year.
01:07:50Do you know who this is?
01:07:54This is your son.
01:07:57Your son's name is Lamar Jr.
01:08:01And we call him LJ.
01:08:03It probably was harder for her because I couldn't say thank you or I appreciate you or I couldn't show
01:08:10any.
01:08:11I wouldn't even cry.
01:08:12You know, I wouldn't even.
01:08:13One.
01:08:13One.
01:08:14Two.
01:08:16Three.
01:08:17Do it.
01:08:20Whoa.
01:08:21Three.
01:08:29It's just like I was a heartbeat.
01:08:34Good job.
01:08:36You did great.
01:08:38There was a lot of challenges, but he's a fighter and as long as he's willing to fight it and
01:08:44constantly better himself, then that's all I could ask for.
01:08:52You want to go swim?
01:08:54Hell no.
01:08:56You know I don't swim.
01:08:59Before I die, I promised I'm going to learn how to swim and go back to school.
01:09:03Because I got a chance right now to, you know, coach in college really soon and probably after that, probably
01:09:15in the NBA if I want to.
01:09:17But I really wanted to use coach in college to go back to school.
01:09:22I told you my grandmother went back to school when she was 50 years old and graduated.
01:09:29When we got discharged, I was not thinking, but I was like, oh, yeah, where, where is Lamar going?
01:09:38So at this point, Lamar can barely talk.
01:09:40He can speak a little bit, but it's more like, mm-hmm, and everything's delayed.
01:09:45He wasn't able to take a shower on his own.
01:09:47Like, we had to test the water because he couldn't decipher hot and cold.
01:09:51So I rented a home for him in the community.
01:09:54I had a caretaker, I had a chef, and we were going to rehabilitate him.
01:10:01Once you know the smell of crack, it's the most identifiable, disgusting smell, and there's nothing that you can confuse
01:10:10it with.
01:10:11And I remember stopping by the house, and I smelled crack.
01:10:17Okay, I'm going to fucking be as stealth as possible, and I'm going to see what the fuck this guy's
01:10:23doing.
01:10:23I remember slowly tiptoeing up the stairs.
01:10:27He was in his bedroom, sitting on the edge of the bed, smoking crack.
01:10:33And I just punched him in his face.
01:10:36I just put my life on hold to fucking take care of you.
01:10:41How did you get this?
01:10:42You don't have a fucking phone.
01:10:44You can't talk.
01:10:46Well, lo and behold, he had a phone.
01:10:49He was better than I knew.
01:10:52He was playing me so I can continue this lifestyle for him.
01:10:57I said, by Monday, you need out of this house.
01:11:01I'm done.
01:11:02I'm not paying for a thing.
01:11:05And I never want to speak to you again.
01:11:08Khloe Kardashian has filed for divorce from Lamar Odom for the second time, again.
01:11:13She previously filed for divorce in 2013, but then withdrew that petition after the former NBA star was found unconscious
01:11:20in a Nevada brothel.
01:11:22I'm trying to think about, like, who the fuck?
01:11:26Because if you know Lamar Odom just went through that, like, how would you even, why would you even give
01:11:30him coke?
01:11:33That's fucked up.
01:11:37He was on this kind of, like, redemption tour a little bit.
01:11:41Moving around here to there in L.A., going to events.
01:11:45He went to Kobe's last game.
01:11:56But he never went to rehab.
01:11:59He just kind of, like, acted like the coma thing never really happened.
01:12:06There was, like, this Kanye West event in Madison Square Garden that he was at.
01:12:10And I was like, you didn't even come to see me.
01:12:13Like, what are you doing?
01:12:16I think when you're just looking at somebody as, like, an addict, and, oh, it's your fault because you started
01:12:20using drugs,
01:12:21and, oh, just grow up, and just stop it.
01:12:24And it's like, no, when you really learn about it, like, you see, like, how you can get really snagged
01:12:33into it.
01:12:35I feel like Lamar's struggle his entire life is that he's blamed himself for so many tragic events in his
01:12:41life.
01:12:42And sometimes I think these events he uses to rationalize why he abuses the way he does.
01:12:50Because then when you find out I do something bad, I have a backpack of reasons why.
01:12:55Like, Lamar's had an extraordinary life.
01:12:58Yes, bad and good, but fuck, it's extraordinary.
01:13:03And he needs to lean into that.
01:13:07I can depend on my family.
01:13:09But most people leave you to fucking rot in the wind.
01:13:15Even the people that say that they love you, bro.
01:13:19People show their true colors, bro.
01:13:22I don't, I don't really let my, I don't really trust too much.
01:13:31All right.
01:13:33Okay.
01:13:35Over the years, our fans have always sent me mail here.
01:13:40And I always made it a point to, when Lamar came in town signing,
01:13:44keep it all together and make it signing.
01:13:47Dear Mr. Odom, I'm a huge basketball fan.
01:13:52I love your style of playing and was hoping you would sign one of your rookie cards for me.
01:13:59Thank you so much, Brian Ingram.
01:14:02And look, here's his two rookie cards.
01:14:05Oh, he looks so cute.
01:14:06He's like Michael Jordan a little bit right here.
01:14:08Look at this.
01:14:11Look at that.
01:14:12Look at the vet.
01:14:13Oh, okay, okay.
01:14:14Look at the vet set him up.
01:14:16Ha-ha!
01:14:16With three fouls.
01:14:18As much as he's grown over the past couple of years,
01:14:21I feel like sometimes you always gotta put him back on track.
01:14:25Hey, the quarter of number four, down 18.
01:14:28It seems like you're the parent and he's the son.
01:14:32Or like he's like the little kid.
01:14:34We all got a lot of grown up to do, but I feel like he,
01:14:37he got a lot of grown up to do also.
01:14:40Come on, man.
01:14:42When I was on Big Brother reality show, I'm there, I was there for like 30 days.
01:14:47Out of those 30 days, I dreamt Kobe four times.
01:14:52The last dream that I remember clearly, we were having a shooting contest.
01:14:58Billy Crystal was emceeing it.
01:15:00That's how you know it's a dream, right?
01:15:02So, before he goes up first, he looks at, he looks back at me and he says,
01:15:08Hello, the afterlife is not what people make it up to be.
01:15:13When he said that, I'm like,
01:15:16Right now it's, now it's go mode.
01:15:20You ain't fucking giving me another workout on a little bit.
01:15:25I'll call you back.
01:15:27I don't look, I don't look weird walking up this mountain with these pants on me.
01:15:31Yeah, great.
01:15:34I think shit's crazy because at the end of the day, we're all really just trying to find out.
01:15:38For me, it's the search and the quest for life.
01:15:40Like, why am I here?
01:15:41Why did God spare me?
01:15:42Like, that's 12 strokes and six heart attacks, dude.
01:15:45Like, that's not no average shit.
01:15:49Shit.
01:15:51Not to get kinky, but I don't want to take my pants off down there.
01:15:56I got the pants on and y'all lagging behind.
01:15:59Oh, no, y'all not.
01:16:01I was talking shit.
01:16:02I mean, shit.
01:16:06You got Clippers, Bakers, Chloe, death, life, kids, now.
01:16:16I think they know I'm a sex fiend and a drug addict.
01:16:23Did basketball solve my problems or create my problems?
01:16:27I would say both.
01:16:28It solved my problems because it gave me a refuge and always a safe place.
01:16:34But all this fame and fortune came to me and obviously I wasn't ready for it.
01:16:39And then it was so crazy.
01:16:40I think about that all the time.
01:16:41Like, would that be my safe place?
01:16:44Like, if nobody, like, knew who I was for a day?
01:16:48Or would that drive me crazy?
01:16:50Like, who knows?
01:16:52I mean, a lot of people come up to me and, you know, notice me and, you know, greet me
01:16:57and whatever.
01:16:58I've been off the NBA for, what, 10 years?
01:17:03I know I'm here for something.
01:17:06And once I find that out, I'm gonna look out.
01:17:12You gotta do what's right.
01:17:14Real sex is a wrap.
01:17:18I'm a Netflix baby now.
01:17:20I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, does this make me an A-lister?
01:17:23I'm with it.
01:17:24I'm ready to go to Vegas, bro.
01:17:26You're going to Vegas tonight?
01:17:27Fuck it, bro.
01:17:29I'm going to marry somebody in Vegas, fuck it.
01:17:32I get...
01:17:33I'm joking.
01:17:34I don't have a new world.
01:17:35I'm joking.
01:17:36I don't have to.
01:17:38Someone's alone, someone's alone.
01:17:42And you're sitting tonight.
01:17:48He...
01:17:55He...
01:17:56He...
01:17:57He...
01:17:59He...
01:18:00He...
01:18:00He...
