00:00Police have arrested two PKR members who allegedly demanded protection money from a massage parlor in Wangsamaju.
00:08Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Fadil Marsus confirmed the arrests, Malaysia Kini reported.
00:15On Friday, Fadil said the case was being investigated under Section 385 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of
00:23the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
00:28Section 385 of the Penal Code covers putting a person in fear of injury to commit extortion, while Section 233
00:36of the CMA involves the improper use of network facilities.
00:41PKR said the men, who are members of the Federal Territory's Residence Representative Council, have been asked to resign following
00:48the allegations.
00:49Federal Territory's PKR Chairman Osman Abidin said their resignations were necessary to prevent any interference with investigations by the police
