00:01Several Bursatu MPs have expressed deep concern over growing internal discord within the party,
00:07warning that recent disciplinary action against two of its members could weaken public confidence in the party.
00:13In an October 23 letter signed by 16 MPs and addressed to party President Muhyiddin Yassin,
00:19they urged him to resolve internal issues to prevent the party from falling victim to the ego of any individual leader.
00:26The MPs criticized the sacking of Tasik Gelugur MP Wan Saifu Wan Jan and the suspension of Machang MP Wan Ahmad Faisal Wan Ahmad Kamal,
00:35calling the decisions unwise and harmful to Bursatu's image.
00:39They claimed the move disrupted growing support for Perikatan National's budget proposal,
00:43recently presented by opposition leader Hamzah Sainuddin.
00:47The MPs also objected to Hamzah being summoned before the Bursatu Disciplinary Board,
00:52describing it as a move that makes absolutely no sense.
00:56In a podcast with former Law Minister Zayed Ibrahim,
00:59Wan Saifu said Hamzah, who is Bursatu's Deputy President,
01:03was summoned to explain why he could not control him but did not attend.
01:07Bursatu's Disciplinary Board also expelled four Division Chiefs,
01:11Azruddin Idris, Faisal Asmar, Fadli Ismail and Issa Saidi,
01:16for allegedly violating the party's constitution and code of conduct.
