00:00my Yankees do they have enough pitching and is that team a good enough defensive team
00:06to take the American league well you know it's kind of interesting right because over the past
00:12couple years it's been like Anthony Volpe's in this lineup for defense and a lot of what they've
00:17done is got guys who had a lot of versatility positions of hey you can play with both corner
00:22outfield spots you can sub in at center if needed you can play a lot of the infield spots we
00:27want
00:27versatility in our lineup to take advantage of different stadiums and now I think the Yankees
00:32are just saying hey let's overpower with pitching let's not even have to have kind of fielding be
00:36like our repertoire our kind of main focal point and I think when you do look at this staff just
00:42the pitching rotation the starting rotation and also the depth that they have in the bullpen now
00:47obviously the point of emphasis is there and it's just about basically dodging what the the Dodgers
00:52had issues with last year and what the Yankees had issues with injuries you know it's a game of
00:57fruition at the you know attrition rather at the end of the day and they do have some you know
01:02pieces
01:02in the minors that if need be they can go make deals for more guys but as it currently stands
01:07and
01:07you know knock on wood that injuries are all good I think that Yankees pitching is in a really good
01:12spot
01:12to make a statement this season well here let me just throw one last question at the Yankees on you
01:18here Aaron Boone's got an under 500 record in the postseason and Brian Cashman and him haven't won
01:24a World Series in quite some time now I think if the boss is still around them dudes are not
01:29in the
01:30building right now you tell me I mean when does it get to a point where Brian Cashman and Aaron
01:35Boone
01:35have to deliver yeah you can't just kind of point to injuries forever right I mean obviously they've had
01:42a lot of different weird injuries at an unopportune times Garrett Cole last year there's you can go
01:47down the whole line of just key players getting hurt but that can no longer just be excuse when
01:52you're the Yankees and you can hoard talent and you make all the deadline moves I thought he should
01:57have been gone already to be honest with you so I'm kind of in that boat of hey you can't
02:01underperform
02:02with these types of resources and these types of players but I would say this has to be the final
02:07year if it's not maybe Yankees standards have kind of changed over my lifetime
