12:22Mike Sanders, really big voice in our locker room.
12:26And, you know, he's really interesting.
12:27Those guys would really speak up.
12:29They had so much experience.
12:30And we would listen and glean from it.
12:32You know, we'd always come up with a rational game plan.
12:34And if you weren't doing your job, we'd just try to hold each other accountable.
12:38We'd ask, how can we help this guy?
12:40Or, you know, this guy's not doing this.
12:42Or they'd say, you know, that was great.
12:44Nothing was taken personally.
12:46And you touched upon it.
12:47A big part of the equation is, are the youngsters willing to listen?
12:50Do you have that kind of a room?
12:52You've got to listen because you can't go off script when you get to the playoffs.
12:55That'll get you buried.
12:56You've got to be cohesive.
12:58You've got to be on the same page.
12:59And you've got to all pull that chain the same way.
13:03And there's some nights it just doesn't work as well.
13:06And you've got to figure out how to get through it.

13:18And it was amazing how much talking that James did in that huddle.
13:24I mean, he just met nearly every single one of these guys.

13:28He's doing 80 or 90% of the talking.
13:30It was fun to see Donovan Mitchell step back and cross his arms with a big smile on his face

13:35now somebody else is doing some of the talking around here.
13:37It was certainly welcomed by number 45.
13:41Yeah, and he's been through so much.
13:42He's seen so much.
13:44What's interesting, you know, I played 30 years ago.
13:47Like, our playbook was as thick as a phone book.
13:49There was so many plays we had.
13:52Today, every team, it's so thin because they're so athletic and there's so much shooting going on.
13:58Most teams just have a basic concept that they use on offense that they build out of,
14:04whether it's pick and roll high, screen, you get rotations.
14:07There's not a whole lot of plays.
14:09So when James Harden showed up and he looked at what we do offensively,
14:12he digested all of it in about two hours and knew exactly where everybody's supposed to be.
14:17And some of it is remnants of stuff he's run at different places he's been.
14:21And he's mastered it.
14:22So it's really a unique situation to bring someone in.
14:24He's really a savant of a basketball player, but also has a coaching, you know, level of IQ as your
14:31point guard.
14:31He's just brilliant.
14:35Powell spins and shoots a three.
14:37You know, we've seen him play in this league, James, for the previous 17 seasons.
14:44And it takes on a new light, a new perspective, a new level when you see him in practice each
14:50and every day.
14:51And Bryant drives and he can't bank at home just to see his IQ.
