00:00How about Iowa and Nebraska last night?
00:02Iowa moves on as the nine-seed knocking off their conference foe, Nebraska 77-71.
00:07It used to be never the calling card for Iowa's defense.
00:10How about in the second half?
00:11Iowa held Nebraska to 25 points here, Joe.
00:14Let's hear from both coaches after the game.
00:17We weren't fantastic to start.
00:19They had an elite game plan to start.
00:21They played with elite pace.
00:22They adjusted their defense quite a bit.
00:25You know, I think a lot of people will talk about a rivalry.
00:29I was around it when I was in Iowa, you know, and grew up in Iowa
00:33and understand the rivalry and whatnot.
00:36You know, it's nice to have, I guess, if you would call it a rival
00:41that runs such a class program.
00:43You know, I think Coach Hoiberg, they've got great kids.
00:48They completely turned everything around from the previous season,
00:52and they have absolutely nothing to hang their heads about or anything.
00:57I have the utmost respect for them.
00:59First of all, hats off to Iowa.
01:01They played great, especially down the stretch, and they deserve the win.
01:06It stings.
01:07This one hurts about as bad as any I've been a part of just because of what this group
01:13is all about, and we don't get to lace them up anymore together as a group.
01:19And, you know, they've been all about the right things.
01:22You know, these guys will be a part of history of Nebraska basketball forever
01:26for winning the first NCAA tournament game, getting to the Sweet 16,
01:30most wins in the history of the program, highest ranking.
01:35They just did so many things to elevate our program, and I'm really proud of them.
01:40You know, when the sting does wear off, which it will at some point, maybe,
01:43but, you know, these guys deserve a lot of credit for what they've done
01:48for Nebraska basketball.
