00:15.
00:16.
00:17.
00:17.
00:17We each just wanted to be recognized.
00:20We were invisible so long.
00:23You can see me now, look at me.
00:24I win it!
00:25The life gets addictive.
00:27It was just like so much money, so much drugs.
00:30It was crazy!
00:31Demetrius starts putting up billboards in Atlanta.
00:34VMF, the world is ours.
00:36What the hell is he doing?
00:38What the fuck was he thinking?
00:39Demetrius Flannery-held without bond on murder charges.
00:43You get to wrong of them bodies,
00:57Meats brought the heat to me.
01:03Everybody move like brother.
01:16Everybody shinin' like little money.
01:26There ain't no other fool like this in the world.
01:29There never will be.
01:56All right, that's good.
02:02After months and years of struggling,
02:05we had a wiretap on Terry Flannery's cell phone.
02:09I can remember talking with some of my law enforcement partners
02:12and team on the case, thinking how ironic it was
02:16that Meech was running around with his hair on fire,
02:19and Terry tried to be so disciplined,
02:22but yet he was the one being intercepted.
02:25All right, look, when you get here,
02:26you're not going to the same spot.
02:29Yeah, yeah, so when I get there,
02:30just call up and guide me in?
02:31Yeah.
02:33The wiretap helped us fill in the gaps
02:35and fill out the structure of the organization,
02:38helped show us who was who
02:39and how they operated, how they spoke.
02:43But that said,
02:45even when we were on his phones,
02:46he was difficult to track.
02:50The early 2000s, we were setting up shops in different states
02:54so we could make money constantly.
02:57When they started following us,
02:59that's when we really started moving like that.
03:07Terry was moving around the country.
03:09He was always going somewhere.
03:12You can't actually tell at that time,
03:15we didn't have the resources to say,
03:17oh, the phone's tapped or it's not tapped.
03:19We were just really just trying to say less on the phone is possible.
03:24For years,
03:26Terry insulated himself
03:27from the day-to-day,
03:29hands-on operations
03:31to protect himself from law enforcement detection.
03:35He always had a bunch of phones
03:36that always switching out.
03:39How did they even keep up
03:41with the wiretaps?
03:44Terry was so careful
03:45and so discreet.
03:46But then we learned that
03:49Terry was going to be back in the Detroit area
03:51for one of his driver's funeral.
03:53This was a big opportunity
03:55to gather intelligence on Terry.
03:58So this was the break we were looking for.
04:04A man was killed in the early hours of Sunday
04:07after police say he was driving
04:08at high speeds down Collier Hills Road.
04:12Berger was one of the first drivers
04:15who drove the drugs
04:16when it was small,
04:17when we were starting out.
04:19He was always reliable,
04:22always trustworthy,
04:23and a tragic moment
04:25was when he got killed
04:27the night he was supposed to do a run.
04:30Terry arrived at the funeral home
04:32and throngs of people
04:34surrounded the limo that Terry was in
04:37as if he was a celebrity.
04:38His window came down a little bit.
04:40He was reaching his hand out,
04:42shaking hands,
04:42touching the little people,
04:44and it was just,
04:46it was an interesting image.
04:49I think the funeral got people's attention.
04:52It looked as if he was worshipped
04:53by all these people.
04:55They all went to the funeral.
04:57That's so powerful
04:58because that puts everybody in the same room.
05:01You cannot deny that,
05:03oh, I don't know Terry Flanori,
05:04I don't know Demetrius Flanori.
05:05Yes, you do.
05:06You went to the funeral.
05:07Here's a picture of you talking to him.
05:09They sent surveillance agents there
05:10and they took pictures
05:11of all the different people.
05:13So as you put the puzzle together,
05:15you have to figure out
05:15what puzzle pieces you're missing
05:17and then create them.
05:19At this funeral,
05:21I started seeing some funny things
05:23going on with like surveillance.
05:26I see the helicopters was following me
05:29and I knew something major was going on.
05:33Terry was on the phone
05:34and they were intercepting Terry's calls.
05:36I was talking to my sister
05:38about the heat that my brother was bringing on.
05:42Complaining about how
05:43it was going to bring the police on the mall
05:45and they're all going to end up in prison.
05:49During the call,
05:50I started to hear weird noises,
05:53but I realized that
05:55that funeral was under surveillance.
05:59Somehow, Terry made the surveillance
06:01and before the funeral procession
06:04was even over,
06:05that phone was toast.
06:07So we threw the phone away
06:08and took off.
06:10We lost Terry
06:11and then it was back
06:12to the drawing board.
06:13We didn't get him,
06:15but it was a great opportunity
06:16for us to not only see
06:18the people he surrounds himself with,
06:21but to actually see and hear him
06:23use the phone in which we were intercepting.
06:25In that phone call,
06:26the brothers had angst against each other,
06:29competing against each other
06:30and kind of drawing the line in the sand.
06:32That's an opportunity for us.
06:37It's BMF.
06:38I mean, you know what it is.
06:39You know what I'm saying?
06:40You get to do all this.
06:42Hey, BMF for life.
06:44We already run the streets.
06:46By the early 2000s,
06:48the BMF entourage
06:49was growing even larger
06:51than the organization.
06:54I would say,
06:55in the BMF family,
06:57it had to be about
06:58six or 700 people
06:59and it was growing.
07:01Some known and some unknown,
07:02you know what I mean?
07:04Meech lived life to the tilt.
07:06You would have a caravan
07:07of 50 cars,
07:08100 cars showing up
07:10at a venue.
07:11The scope and size of this
07:13had never been seen before.
07:15It's getting out of hand.
07:18And you got a friend
07:19with a friend
07:20with a friend
07:20with a friend.
07:21Right here, baby G.
07:23Down, y'all want to be safe?
07:24You gonna fuck with BMF,
07:25motherfucker?
07:26Right there, big bull.
07:28And who are all these people?
07:29You don't even know.
07:30This is Votto.
07:31We picked up, huh?
07:33It is.
07:34It is.
07:36I drive up to one
07:37of these stash houses.
07:38There's a few guys
07:39I'd never seen before
07:40and they're all staring at me.
07:42I just know it's cruel.
07:44So it was getting stupid big.
07:48BMF went from just people
07:49in the neighborhood
07:50to just anybody.
07:52I tried to keep the circle small,
07:56so to speak.
07:57Naturally, Meech had other plans.
07:59I did see Groyden getting out of hand,
08:03but again, he ran things one way,
08:05I ran things another way.
08:07We knew from our investigation,
08:09Terry was complaining about Meech,
08:12about how everything he did
08:14was flamboyant,
08:15put them all at risk.
08:17And at this point,
08:19we started to exploit
08:20that unhappy relationship
08:22between the brothers.
08:24There's cars getting pulled over
08:26and certain people
08:27are getting arrested.
08:28We're playing the chess game.
08:30If you get an informant
08:31that wants to cooperate,
08:32send him back out
08:33with misinformation.
08:34This one said something
08:35about this one.
08:36Maybe this one's trying
08:37to kill that one.
08:39I heard somebody saying like,
08:41oh, well, I felt like
08:42if I get under this brother,
08:43I was making more.
08:44And I get under this brother,
08:46I was making more.
08:46So they divided them.
08:49Misinformation is crucial.
08:51Whatever you can do
08:52to bring chaos
08:53into the organization
08:54because that's when
08:55alliances break down.
08:56And it also begins to weigh
08:58on the organizational
09:00leader's mind
09:01because they don't know
09:02who to trust.
09:03It got out of hand
09:05because you're watching
09:06people telling him,
09:08fuck your brother,
09:08fuck this brother.
09:09Oh, he said this,
09:10and Meech said this.
09:11For some people,
09:13it became,
09:13if I can keep them separate,
09:15it's the more I can get.
09:16So never underestimate
09:17another guy's greed.
09:19Some would be with Terry
09:20for a little bit
09:21and then get pissed off
09:22about something.
09:23How long do I get
09:23to stay there and rest?
09:24None.
09:25Keep it moving.
09:25Because I need you out here.
09:27All right, yes, sir.
09:28And then they go to Meech
09:30or they wanted to be
09:31a party person
09:32and they were at Meech
09:32and they're like,
09:33we're going to get caught
09:34and they went to Terry's.
09:35You could see the stress
09:37coming on Terry,
09:38sometimes just worn out.
09:40You don't know who to trust.
09:42It's a great technique
09:44to take two leaders
09:45of an organization
09:46and pit them
09:47against each other.
09:49And that's where
09:50they become extremely vulnerable
09:51and people make real mistakes.
09:57What the fuck's going on?
09:58This is one of the greatest
09:59men alive right here.
10:02I don't think Meech
10:03took business serious enough.
10:05He was right back partying
10:07and getting careless
10:08and sloppy.
10:09And the feds was watching
10:11the whole time.
10:12I was really upset.
10:15And one day,
10:17we were leaving
10:17one of my stash houses.
10:19That was around the corner
10:20from Meech's house.
10:21So I pulled up
10:22and I see this big tour bus
10:24in his yard.
10:25We go over there
10:27and we're ringing
10:28the doorbell on the gate
10:30and no one's answering.
10:33We're approaching the house.
10:35The door's unlocked.
10:38When I walk in,
10:39all I see is
10:41massive scales of drugs,
10:43massive piles of money.
10:45Everybody's high on ecstasy.
10:47The music's loud.
10:49Meech is not there.
10:53It was over there,
10:54you know, having a little party
10:55or whatever.
10:55We had a few chicks over there.
10:57I didn't even know
10:58T's going over there.
11:00And it's like eight of us.
11:01Nobody hears us
11:02walking the house.
11:03And when I turn to the right,
11:04go in the kitchen,
11:05I see half-naked strippers
11:07cooking,
11:08popping bottles,
11:09drinking.
11:10And when they finally see me,
11:12everybody's eyes
11:13just kind of got big
11:14and looked at me.
11:19So I yelled at J-Bo being second-in-command.
11:22They were doing sloppy business.
11:24Nobody's paying any attention.
11:26And the ship's about to sink out here.
11:28J-Bo was thunder boss
11:30or second-in-charge,
11:32which is where the nickname J-Bo
11:34comes from, junior boss.
11:36He was more tied to Demetrius
11:38than he was to Terry.
11:40Terry got married
11:41and then came over
11:41to the mansion,
11:43took his chain back from me.
11:45I got a chain
11:46that I was going to buy from him,
11:47but I haven't paid for it yet.
11:49I don't know what was said
11:51or how it went,
11:52but T ended up
11:52taking his chain.
11:54He's like,
11:54man, you don't deserve the chain.
11:56Boom, boom,
11:56snatch the chain back,
11:57whatever.
11:58And told him,
11:58you know,
11:58they had some words,
12:00you know what I mean?
12:02I ain't motherfucking
12:02getting my chain back.
12:03Here, take your chain.
12:05I don't need it.
12:05He got Meech on the phone
12:07and Meech said,
12:08hey, man,
12:09whatever going over there,
12:10that's my house.
12:12Get the fuck out of my house.
12:15Meech told me and Wayne
12:17and fucked him.
12:18That was his words.
12:20I definitely felt like
12:22the domino effect
12:23was going to happen
12:24with that incident in California.
12:27I just was upset,
12:28hurt to see my brother,
12:31my big brother,
12:32going out like that.
12:35This was the straw
12:36that really broke
12:37the camel's back.
12:39At that point,
12:41they really divided.
12:43I knew that was the end.
12:47This call is from
12:48an inmate at
12:49a federal prison.
12:51Demetrius Flannery.
12:52This some bullshit.
12:54T making me responsible
12:55for whatever J-Vol
12:56and his crew,
12:58you know what I'm saying?
12:59They figure like,
13:00my flamboyance
13:01is going to fuck everything up
13:02when it was them.
13:03My brother running
13:04his big mouth
13:05on the fucking phone.
13:06You know what I'm saying?
13:07That's when we kind of
13:08totally went our separate ways.
13:11I never understood
13:13how people could sit around
13:16and watch the division
13:17of two brothers.
13:20My brother died
13:23in 2003.
13:26Once I lost my brother,
13:27tragically,
13:28I realized,
13:29dang,
13:29I'm not going to hear
13:30from him again.
13:31We're not going to hug.
13:32We're not going to laugh.
13:33And I would always share
13:35that when Terry,
13:37if something happens
13:38to your brother,
13:39you'll really understand.
13:41And that was the thing.
13:42They never understood.
13:45Tony,
13:46from losing her brother,
13:47I guess she would try
13:48to push for Amici and I
13:50to kind of rekindle
13:51our relationship
13:52because we never knew
13:54the feeling of a loss.
13:55So I could definitely
13:56give her credit for that.
13:58Trying to keep us close,
13:59actually giving us
14:01a heads up
14:02for we're going to need
14:03each other later
14:04so we should speak again.
14:07At the time,
14:08I didn't understand it.
14:10You know,
14:11you could see
14:11the decline
14:12in the relationship,
14:14decline in everything,
14:15even with me and Terry.
14:17It was like a person
14:19that I didn't know anymore.
14:21I was just,
14:23once he lost
14:24that relationship
14:24with his brother too,
14:25it took the turn.
14:29Terry and Demetrius
14:30were no longer
14:31on speaking terms
14:32in the last year or two
14:33of BMF's reign.
14:35They were operating
14:36underneath the same
14:38Black Mafia family umbrella
14:40but were operating
14:41from that point forward
14:42completely separate.
14:45When you divide like that,
14:47police,
14:47this is what they,
14:48man,
14:49this is what we need.
14:50You know what I mean?
14:50Thanks, guys.
14:52The schism
14:53between the brothers
14:54was the next big,
14:56huge watershed moment.
14:58With all the stuff
14:59that Demetrius
15:00got going on
15:01and I got going on,
15:03I figured we was
15:04being investigated
15:06and I'm trying
15:07to duck the heat.
15:08When Demetrius
15:09and Terry
15:10officially split,
15:11Terry rebranded himself
15:14263.
15:16When I came
15:17with the idea
15:18to say,
15:19hey, man,
15:19let's just chill
15:20with the BMF stuff
15:21for a minute
15:22and do 263.
15:24At a certain point,
15:26we started seeing
15:27references
15:28to three-digit number
15:30that Terry was using.
15:32It changes the name.
15:33If it changes
15:34the name of the organization,
15:35they got to start
15:36a new investigation
15:37so we can stop
15:38doing BMF
15:39for a second
15:40and just do 263.
15:42Yeah, to be frank,
15:44I'm not sure
15:44how they've got
15:45that information.
15:47Names or what you call
15:48the organization
15:48has nothing to do
15:49with it at all.
15:50It gives no clean
15:50start whatsoever.
15:52We never stopped
15:52looking at this
15:53as one criminal
15:54organization.
15:56And I'm like,
15:57263, what is?
15:59Like a birthday,
16:01a security number,
16:02a combination
16:02to a lock or something?
16:04BMF is 263
16:06on the keypad.
16:08It was a way
16:09to buy time
16:11and discreetly
16:12still call it
16:13the same thing.
16:14Those who knew,
16:15knew.
16:16Those who didn't,
16:17didn't.
16:19As soon as
16:20that fracture
16:20happened,
16:21you start believing
16:22you're above the law.
16:24Me and my guys
16:25are doing this,
16:25you and your guys
16:26are doing this.
16:26It's just like
16:27counterproductive, man.
16:28You know what I mean?
16:29You know,
16:30we're just mad
16:31at each other
16:31or call ourselves
16:32mad at each other
16:33right now
16:33for bullshit,
16:35really.
16:37They're separate
16:38coalitions
16:38of people
16:39and the armies
16:41are starting
16:41to posture
16:42against each other
16:43and that's
16:43when we come in
16:44and we come in
16:46and we just push
16:46that apart
16:47in any way
16:48that we can.
16:50So Demetrius
16:51at this point
16:51was seeing
16:52life through
16:53a kind of
16:54a hazy lens
16:55of his own making.
16:57He was
16:58popping
16:59a couple pills
16:59of ecstasy
17:00every day.
17:01It went from
17:01just doing it
17:02at the club
17:03to doing it
17:04when you wake up
17:05in the morning
17:06and things
17:07were going
17:07off the rails.
17:14a distraught
17:15mother talking
17:16about her
17:1723-year-old son
17:18after he'd been
17:19shot to death
17:19in a midtown
17:20parking lot.
17:21Atlanta police
17:22tell us it started
17:23with the fight
17:23between four
17:24or five people
17:25behind the
17:26Velvet Room
17:26on Peach Street.
17:29So in 2004,
17:30the Velvet Room
17:31was a really
17:32big popular club
17:33in Atlanta.
17:34I went there
17:35myself,
17:35so I know
17:36that the Velvet
17:37Club was big.
17:38And L. Daniels
17:39was Demetrius
17:41Flannery's
17:42number three
17:42in charge.
17:43Black mafia
17:44definitely
17:45standing up
17:46in this bitch.
17:48L. Daniels
17:50was a man
17:51that was very
17:52diminutive
17:53in stature
17:54but had
17:55a volcanic temper.
17:56All y'all
17:57niggas
17:57try to
17:57follow my man,
17:58I'll do something
17:59to you.
17:59I'll never
18:00follow my man.
18:01They called him
18:02Joe Pesci
18:03or Tommy D
18:04because L. Daniels
18:06behavior
18:07reminded them
18:08of the Joe Pesci
18:09character in
18:09Goodfellas.
18:10Why don't you
18:11go fuck yourself,
18:12Tommy?
18:17Bill's Daniels
18:18had drove his
18:19Porsche
18:20into the
18:21parking lot
18:22and bumped
18:22into an
18:23individual,
18:24Roshanable,
18:25Prince Drummond.
18:26And there was
18:27a dispute.
18:28Words were
18:29exchanged
18:29and then they
18:30started to fight.
18:31During the
18:32scuffle,
18:33I think
18:34Roshanable
18:34fell to the
18:35ground.
18:36Somebody fired
18:36a shot in
18:37the air.
18:38Ills Daniels
18:38went to his
18:39car and got
18:39his gun
18:39and shot
18:40Roshanable
18:41dead.
18:42Ills Daniels
18:42executed him
18:43in front of
18:44an entire
18:44parking lot
18:45of people.
18:46Put him
18:46on the
18:46ground
18:46and put
18:47two balls
18:47on the
18:47back
18:47of his
18:48head.
18:50He was
18:50only 23
18:51years old
18:52and he
18:52was a
18:52very good
18:53kid.
18:54Ills Daniels
18:55was one
18:56of the
18:56top
18:57echelon
18:57guys
18:57at BMF.
18:58So that
18:59was something
18:59that the
19:00government
19:00could hold
19:01against him.
19:02He got
19:02pulled out
19:03and he
19:03shot me
19:03and he
19:04started
19:04shooting.
19:05Okay.
19:06This is
19:07the
19:07fight.
19:07He didn't
19:08have a gun.
19:08Okay.
19:09He didn't
19:09have a gun.
19:10Probably
19:11was the
19:11beginning
19:11and the
19:12end
19:12because
19:12now
19:12you
19:12got
19:12violence
19:13with
19:13it.
19:13So you
19:14kind
19:14of
19:14put
19:14a
19:14spotlight
19:15on
19:15yourself.
19:16The
19:16velvet
19:16shooting
19:17was more
19:17chaotic.
19:18It was
19:19more
19:19violent.
19:20It had
19:21no
19:21purpose.
19:22There's
19:23pressure
19:23on the
19:23top.
19:24We
19:24got
19:24to wrap
19:24this
19:24up
19:24because
19:25the
19:25shooting
19:26also
19:26symbolizes
19:27the
19:27unraveling
19:28of the
19:28organization.
19:29People
19:29starting to
19:29take things
19:30into their
19:30own hands
19:31and law
19:32enforcement
19:33saw that
19:33and it
19:34was time
19:34to get
19:34moving.
19:37Really
19:38at the
19:38very beginning
19:39of the
19:39BMF
19:39investigation
19:40it was
19:41like crawling
19:42and walking
19:43and uphill
19:44and at a
19:45certain point
19:46you got to
19:46the top
19:47of the hill
19:47and then
19:48you're rolling
19:48the boulder
19:49down the hill
19:49and then
19:50you're running
19:51to try to
19:52keep up.
19:53It went
19:53from zero
19:54to a
19:54hundred
19:55in the
19:55blink
19:55of an
19:56eye.
19:56You
19:56had
19:56years
19:57if not
19:57a
19:58decade
19:58when
19:58there
19:59weren't
19:59arrests
19:59there
20:00weren't
20:00raids
20:00to
20:02stop.
20:03After
20:04stop
20:04I
20:05look
20:05in the
20:06rearview
20:06mirror
20:06and the
20:07fucking
20:07state
20:07police
20:08is
20:08like
20:08new to
20:10my
20:10bump.
20:11Bust
20:11after
20:11bust
20:16confiscation
20:16after
20:17confiscation
20:18police
20:18pulled me
20:19over
20:19in the
20:19car
20:19and
20:20they
20:20took
20:20like
20:20over
20:20a
20:20little
20:21over
20:21$600,000
20:22I believe.
20:23Get on
20:23the
20:23ground
20:23We're
20:25in a
20:26high-end
20:26store.
20:27When I
20:27start seeing
20:28these agents
20:29like you
20:30know peeking
20:31around the
20:31corners and
20:32watching us
20:33and I'm
20:33telling Terry
20:34we're being
20:35watched,
20:36we're being
20:36followed.
20:37We actually
20:37just bagged
20:38up and
20:39actually
20:39flared.
20:40Throughout
20:402004 and
20:42the first
20:42half of
20:422005 you
20:44had BMF
20:44lieutenants
20:45being pulled
20:46over,
20:47arrested,
20:47on a
20:48regular
20:49basis.
20:50This is
20:51serious.
20:52They're
20:52here.
20:53We
20:53gotta
20:53start
20:53pulling
20:54back.
20:56As the
20:57BMF
20:58case
20:58started to
20:59mature,
21:00we had a
21:01nucleus of
21:02agents around
21:03the country.
21:03At the same
21:04time, there
21:05were tremendous
21:06partnerships that
21:07don't often exist
21:08in drug
21:08investigations.
21:11We convened
21:12coordination meetings
21:13where we'd have
21:13everybody fly into
21:15different locations.
21:17to get
21:18anyone who had
21:18an important
21:19part of the
21:19case.
21:20So that
21:20might be
21:20ten different
21:21offices or
21:22more.
21:23And everybody
21:24would put
21:24their cards
21:24on the table
21:25and talk
21:25about what
21:25they had.
21:34All these
21:35agencies
21:35actually
21:36cooperating
21:36with each
21:36other,
21:37meeting with
21:38each other,
21:38sharing the
21:39information.
21:41Following
21:41the money
21:41was my
21:42job,
21:43putting
21:43together
21:43pieces of
21:44a puzzle.
21:44You know,
21:45looking at
21:45all the
21:46different
21:46financial
21:47transactions
21:47and trying
21:48to paint
21:49the big
21:49picture.
21:50That damn
21:51tax guy,
21:51Frank,
21:52was something
21:52else,
21:52man.
21:53Sheesh.
21:55Jewelry,
21:55money,
21:56everything.
21:57Same thing
21:57did with
21:58Al Capone.
21:59And we
21:59started to
22:00pull all
22:01those reports
22:01and realized
22:02that this
22:03thing was
22:04out of
22:04control.
22:05It was
22:06pretty
22:06massive.
22:07We
22:08coordinated
22:08arrests,
22:09you coordinate
22:09your enforcement
22:10activity.
22:10We had
22:11wiretaps
22:12from other
22:12districts.
22:13We had
22:14informant
22:14testimony.
22:15We had
22:16surveillance
22:16and phone
22:18stuff to put
22:18people together.
22:19Started to
22:20build a really,
22:21really good
22:21historical
22:22conspiracy.
22:24And it
22:24went on for
22:25another year
22:26and a half.
22:31We had
22:32information we
22:32had gathered.
22:33You're trying
22:34to get organized
22:34and all of the
22:36evidence,
22:36all of the
22:37seized evidence,
22:38the arrests.
22:39If you look at
22:40each one of those
22:40violent acts,
22:41gun arrests,
22:42drug arrests,
22:42started to get a
22:43little bit of
22:43shape to the
22:44thing.
22:45All the money
22:45seizures,
22:46gun seizures,
22:46drug seizures.
22:48When you have a
22:48drug organization,
22:49they had a CCE,
22:51which is a
22:51continuous criminal
22:53enterprise.
22:54RICO or CCE,
22:56neither statute
22:57is used a lot.
22:58They're reserved
22:58for very high-level,
23:00complex criminal
23:01organizations.
23:02The Teflon Don
23:03may now spend
23:04the rest of his
23:05life in prison.
23:06El Chapo
23:06found guilty
23:07of drug
23:08trafficking and
23:09money laundering.
23:10The BMF
23:11investigation was
23:12crying out for
23:12a CCE.
23:14When you have a
23:14CCE case,
23:15the ingredients
23:16you need is
23:16an organization.
23:17You have to have
23:19someone who's a
23:20director of the
23:21individual's part
23:22of the group.
23:22For example,
23:23you have a leader
23:24who has drugs
23:26or who can get
23:27the drugs.
23:27There needs to be
23:28a substantial
23:29amount of drugs
23:30distributed.
23:31We're talking
23:32about hundreds of
23:33kilograms and
23:34thousands of
23:34kilograms.
23:35I gave you
23:36$3,500 on that
23:37half.
23:38I'm bringing
23:38you this $12,500.
23:40I gave Miles
23:40the $3,500 out
23:41of it.
23:42Another element
23:43that's required
23:43is that there
23:44must be wealth
23:45generated.
23:46We're talking
23:47hundreds of
23:48thousands of
23:48dollars,
23:49millions of
23:49dollars.
23:50That element
23:51was there.
23:52Some of the
23:52estimates are
23:53$260,000,
23:54$270,000,
23:55$280 million.
23:56That's a pretty
23:57substantial company.
23:59So the smaller
24:00arrests, the
24:01bigger arrests,
24:01it builds a
24:02jigsaw puzzle.
24:03Sometimes we have
24:04to create the
24:05pieces, sometimes
24:05we have to
24:06find the pieces.
24:07We put the
24:08puzzle together
24:08and it creates
24:09this picture of
24:10the organization
24:11and that's
24:11our main goal.
24:14All of the
24:15difficult work
24:16early on to
24:17scratch and
24:18claw for every
24:18piece of evidence,
24:19once in a while,
24:20good developments
24:21occur on their
24:21own.
24:24Eric Slim
24:25Bivens, who
24:26was a Detroit
24:27lieutenant, had
24:28come out to
24:28get Terry and
24:29take him to
24:30a video shoot.
24:32Terry wasn't a
24:33big fan of
24:34flying, so Terry
24:36Slim Bivens
24:37and Marlon
24:38Little Dog
24:39Welch, they
24:40drove from
24:40L.A. to
24:41Detroit.
24:43A local police
24:44officer found
24:45a legal reason
24:46to stop a
24:47vehicle Terry
24:48Flinnery was in
24:49and I don't
24:50believe the
24:50officer initially
24:51knew that Terry
24:52was in the car.
24:53Terry had in
24:54his possession
24:55half a dozen
24:56different driver's
24:56license and a
24:57half a dozen
24:58different names,
24:59none of them
24:59saying Terry
25:00Flinnery.
25:01He did a
25:02very nice
25:02roadside
25:03investigation,
25:04found probable
25:05cause to
25:05search the
25:06vehicle.
25:08So they
25:09pulled us
25:09over and
25:09they searched
25:10the car,
25:10they were
25:11going through
25:12our bags,
25:13they find
25:14the Bible
25:14and $5 million
25:15worth of
25:16jewelry and
25:1720-something
25:18cell phones.
25:20I mean,
25:21this was
25:21diamond-encrusted
25:22jewelry, much
25:23of it that
25:23had been
25:23designed and
25:24made by
25:25Jacob the
25:25jeweler for
25:26Terry
25:26Flinnery and
25:27others.
25:28How did
25:29they get
25:29the jewelry?
25:30Was the
25:30jewelry stolen?
25:31Was it
25:31purchased with
25:32drug money?
25:33If you don't
25:34have a paper
25:35trail of
25:36legitimate
25:36income to
25:37explain to
25:37the government
25:38how you
25:39paid for
25:39that,
25:40according to
25:41the law,
25:41you are
25:42automatically
25:42assumed to
25:43be doing
25:44something
25:44illegal.
25:46And they
25:47say, yo,
25:47we got to
25:47take you in
25:48after running
25:48the computer.
25:50So they
25:50take us to
25:51this little
25:51jail and
25:52they uncuff
25:53everybody but
25:54me.
25:54They leave
25:55me handcuffed
25:55to a chair.
25:57And we're
25:58in this
25:59station six
26:00hours and
26:01finally I
26:02said, what's
26:03the holdup?
26:04And they
26:04said, well,
26:05we were
26:05waiting on
26:06somebody.
26:07And they
26:08uncuffed
26:08me and I
26:09go in this
26:10room and
26:10I see this
26:11agent flipping
26:13my ID.
26:14Is this
26:15you?
26:17I said, no,
26:18my name is
26:19Terry Flinnery.
26:20So he
26:21said, man,
26:22I couldn't
26:23believe it
26:23was you.
26:23I had to
26:24come see
26:24myself.
26:25I flew
26:25down from
26:25D.C.
26:27You're a
26:28ghost, man.
26:29You don't
26:29get stopped.
26:30It's good
26:31to finally
26:31meet you.
26:33Anytime
26:33they hold
26:34you in a
26:34police stop
26:35for six
26:36to eight
26:36hours and
26:37two agents
26:38fly in,
26:39there's
26:39something
26:40major
26:40going on.
26:56don't
27:09to
27:09help.
27:10Joshua
27:10happen.
27:10See ya.
27:10Bye.
27:12Bye.
27:15Bye.
27:18Bye.
27:19Bye.
27:19Gracias por ver el video.
