Oregon Ducks coach Dan Lanning discusses what prepared offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer for his new position. Lanning talks about how he has been very involved in all phases of their offense for a while and that contributes to his preparation.

00:06What has it been like for you coming into work lately and seeing the progress of that
00:10construction project, that massive project next door?
00:13Yeah, it's pretty awesome when you can look, you know, I always think a healthy university,
00:18you're going to see some buildings going up, right?
00:20And it's really awesome to be able to see that going on in our backyard and the impact
00:23that's going to make, you know, for us in future seasons and how that's going to be
00:27really a weapon for our players and our coaches for us to continue to advance.
00:31Drew, how do you think being a tight end coach specifically where he's involved in the run
00:35game and the pass game prepared him to be, you know, stepping into this role as an OC?
00:39Yeah, and again, not specifically just being a tight end position, but his role in our offense
00:45the last few years, he's been very involved in all phases for us on the offensive side
00:50of the ball.
00:50So really, that's that more specifically played into the factor of him being able to contribute
00:54and help us.
