Guilty pleas entered after 14-month-old died at Dudley nursery following unsafe sleep practices

00:08Fourteen-month-old Noah Zabanda from Dudley died in December 2022 after an incident at
00:14a nursery where he had been placed to sleep.
00:18Prosecutors say he was placed face down on a soft surface with a covering over his head
00:22in a position that restricted his ability to breathe.
00:26CCTV footage was presented in court and captured the moments leading up to his tragic death.
00:31Staff later found he was not breathing and emergency services were called but he died
00:35in hospital.
00:36Fairy Tales Day Nursery, which has since closed, has now admitted corporate manslaughter along
00:42with a health and safety offence.
00:43The company's director has admitted failing in her duty, accepting she should have been
00:48aware of unsafe practices.
00:50A nursery worker had already pleaded guilty to gross negligence manslaughter.
