A child minder was charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Friday (Aug 22) with not making reasonable provision for the supervision and care of a child under her care, resulting in the death of a seven-month-old baby boy at a nursery in Wangsa Maju.

00:18Siti Shakira Mohtarudin on Friday. She was accused of committing the offence at a nursery
00:24in Wangsa Maju at 11.08 a.m. on May 26. The charge under Section 33 subsection 1a of the Child Act 2001
00:34provides a maximum fine of 20,000 ringgit or imprisonment not exceeding five years or both
00:40if convicted. The court allowed bail of 20,000 ringgit with one surety and also ordered Noor Fatiha
00:48to report at a police station once a month, surrender her passport and not to intimidate
00:53witnesses. The court said September 29 for mention.
