00:07The agreed police facts say the 24-year-old was trying to put a four-year-old boy down to rest on a bed in a daycare centre in Bathurst in mid-August.
00:15But they say that the child was wriggling and was obviously trying to evade the woman's efforts of putting him down for a rest.
00:21So the woman grabbed his arms and quote, used considerable force in putting him down on the stretcher bed.
00:27But in the meantime, his head hit the plastic corner of the stretcher bed and caused a two centimetre laceration.
00:33Now, the documents say that this wound immediately started bleeding and was bleeding onto the bedding.
00:38But it says that the childcare worker didn't realise he was injured and continued to restrain him for another 53 seconds while the child was crying and kicking his legs in distress.
00:48Once the childcare worker realised he was injured, she immediately sought first aid and took the child out of the room.
00:55Now, a short time after that, the four-year-old's father came to pick him up from the centre and took him to the Bathurst Base Hospital for an assessment where his head was medically glued.
