00:52Nothing in the game was terrific, like the conditions.
00:56And both teams should be credited for how they tried to play.

01:34When we do get it right, we can open teams up, but the final pass is always a straight.
01:39We set up most of their attacks tonight by our sloppy play in midfield.
01:46And that's not just the midfielders, that's the forwards, that's the defenders.
01:49That's the passion that we never got right tonight.
01:52They were better than us for little parts tonight.
01:55Probably about a ten-minute spell in the first half.
01:58And then they've defended it better than what we've defended.
02:01They've had to defend the same corners we had to.
02:03And we haven't.
02:04And, you know, to go behind, having conceded two corners on Saturday,
02:08to go behind from the first corner we conceded after two and a half minutes,
02:13it's just ridiculous.
02:15You know, that should be locked down, the ball should be cleared.
02:17We've had two chances to clear and we didn't.
02:19And then, you know, the lads flashed it through and look at players.
02:23And when things are going for you, that gets blocked.
02:26When things are going against you.
02:28As it is with us.
02:29As all our shots seem to get blocked.
02:32You know, we've got to fight through.
02:35We've got to be better.
02:37We've got to keep it tight.
02:38We've got to stay in the games because we're not staying in games.
02:41We shouldn't be having to score three goals every time to time when a game in football.
02:46But unfortunately, that's what's happening at the moment.
02:51And, you know, you can't fault the work rate.
02:54You can't fault the effort.
02:55But maybe they're just a bit better.
02:57And that's something that you've said over this run of games against teams at the top.
03:01That you want your team to be better.
03:03You're not using the fact that the other team are chasing promotion as an excuse.
03:08You're not hiding behind that.
03:09You're thinking those are the standards that you're setting.
03:12You want your team to compete against the very best in this division.
03:15Yeah, but, you know, if you look at the last four games we've lost, we could have won all of

03:20You know, playing no difference.
03:22Just not conceding stupid goals.
03:25And unfortunately, you know, you can say it's a moment of genius by their lad.
03:30We've given them the ball.
03:32You know, that's the thing.
03:34That's the harsh reality of it.
03:40And, you know, it is a good finish.
03:42Brody's a great goal.
03:43But, you know, there was a big moment in the game tonight at 1-0.
03:49Now, everybody's seen the penalty on Saturday being the softest penalty.
03:53Probably given this season.
03:54I think everybody's concurred with that.
03:57Even people I've spoke to, you know, who were involved in the first year.
04:05So, to then have what we feel is a clear penalty for us at 1-0, not given.
04:11It sticks in your throat a bit.
04:13And you feel as though there's an agenda against you.
04:15You know, I know he isn't.
04:17But it's hard to not feel that way when you see it happening week in, week out.
04:22You know, I see Oli Scott get booted, I get someone running into him.
04:26And then I see someone kick him in the face and he doesn't get booted.
04:29I just don't know what the balance is.
04:32I just don't know what it is anymore.
04:34I don't know what the threshold is for bootkins anymore.
04:38Because players can seem to do what they want to our players and very rarely get booted.
04:42And the minute any one of our players transgresses,
04:44they get a yellow card.
04:48And when you're fighting down there, that's what happens.
04:52And we've got to fight through it.
04:54You know, there's an age old saying when you're going through that,
04:57you've got to keep going.
04:59And we're going through it all the month.
05:03And we've got to keep fighting.
05:05We've got to keep giving up everything we've got.
05:07But we've got to start kicking the ball out of our lives.
05:10Because if we don't, we're in serious relegation.
05:14And it's not down to luck, of course.
05:16But you must be doing a bit of good fortune sometime soon.
05:18Well, we're having loads of luck.
05:19It's just not good luck.
05:21You know, that's the thing.
05:24We are doing a bit of fortune.
05:26But, you know, you make your own luck sometimes.
05:28And you've got to make your own luck by getting the ball into the right areas.

05:33We've got a gale force wind and we've got two free kicks
05:36and we try to chip both of them over the ball.
05:38It just makes sense to me.
05:39You know, if I'm a goalkeeper, I don't want to try and save a ball
05:43that's going to get cannons at me
05:45and it's going to be on the wettest pitch of the season.
05:48I don't want it to be skidding them on the floor.
05:50I want it to be going over the bar.
05:52Both of them going over the bar.
05:53And, you know, that probably sums us up in our shooting tonight.
05:58Our shooting, the amount of shots we had that got blocked.

06:07And again, it was difficult conditions.

06:41And we've got to realise that if we don't start winning soon,

06:56we're going to be in the same boat every week.

07:37I do the part and to play.
07:39So, if anyone wants to point the blame, blame me.

07:44But I know that these players are better than what they show them.

07:47And Saturday is the annual tour of duty for Aldershot Town fans
07:52where they travel in their numbers anywhere around the country.
