00:00Discord, my queen.
00:01Sashay away.
00:03Well, see you on All Stars.
00:11Hello, hello, hello.
00:13Well, y'all, it's the punk rock powerhouse.
00:16It's Discord Adams.
00:19Hey, what's up?
00:21How are you?
00:22I'm good.
00:22How are you?
00:24Fabulous.
00:24Bitch, you look good.
00:26You look good.
00:27In all this black.
00:28I don't.
00:30Like what you're watching?
00:31Well, be sure to click like and subscribe.
00:34This is the show.
00:36Hello, hello, hello.
00:38And first things first, I have to know.
00:41Yes.
00:42Where were you when you got your first call
00:44from RuPaul's Drag Race?
00:45So I was back home in Akron.
00:46I was wrapping Christmas presents.
00:48And I was on the phone with my brother.
00:50And I saw that there was like a phone number coming in
00:52from Los Angeles.
00:53And I was like, this might be Drag Race,
00:56but I don't think it's going to be.
00:57But let me answer it just in case.
01:00Yeah.
01:00And they were like, is this Discord Adams?
01:02And I was like, yes, it is.
01:03Yeah.
01:04That is amazing.
01:05And how many times did you audition for the show?
01:07Huh?
01:0810?
01:0811?
01:09Oh, my God.
01:10And now we get to see your audition tape.
01:14Oh, we do.
01:15In front of the entire world.
01:17Well, it's my favorite audition tape yet.
01:18So I'm not mad at it.
01:20You ready?
01:20Yes.
01:21Let's hear it.
01:24I'm Dustin Augusta.
01:25I'm 34 years old.
01:27My stage name is Discord Adams.
01:29I'm originally from Cleveland, Ohio,
01:30but I'm here representing Tampa, Florida.
01:32I would describe myself as a perfectionist punk rock
01:35maximalist.
01:36I want to wear everything.
01:39And when I think I have enough on,
01:41I want to add two more chokers and four more bracelets.
01:44What I bring to the table that other people don't
01:45is that I'm 100% self-sufficient.
01:47Everything I do and everything that you're going to see
01:49is just 100% Discord from start to finish.
01:53I'm not just like a clothes hanger from another designer.
01:57That is amazing.
01:59So Cleveland.
02:00Cleveland.
02:00A Cleveland bonding moment.
02:02Yes.
02:02Hello.
02:03So tell me about your experience in Cleveland.
02:05Like, why'd you leave?
02:07How did you end up starting?
02:09Well, I started performing at the Inner Belt back in 2011.
02:13You know, that's where I started too.
02:15Of course.
02:15There was not a lot of options in Ohio.
02:17That's where everybody started.
02:18Yeah, it's so true.
02:19Back in, what, 2011, there wasn't a lot going on.
02:23And if you weren't doing pageants in Ohio,
02:26then you really weren't perceived as a drag queen.
02:29So I was like, well, let me go somewhere
02:31where people are going to respect what I do.
02:33Yeah, of course.
02:33Well, I'm so happy that you left Cleveland,
02:36but I'm so sad I didn't get to grow up and do drag.
02:41We would have had so much fun.
02:42Girl, we would have had a mother blast.
02:44OK.
02:45How long did it take you to film this tape?
02:46I was filming it the entire year,
02:48because I knew it was coming up.
02:49So I was just sitting on footage and sitting on footage.
02:51And then I just kind of shoved it all together.
02:53Smart.
02:53And then did like the little pieces
02:54that you don't know about afterwards.
02:56So it's like the Snatch Game and all that.
02:58Their heels, they are a-clacking.
02:59And their wings, they are stacking.
03:01But their poetry is lacking.
03:03So I'm going to send them packing,
03:04because my nerves, they are a-racking from the jokes.
03:06They are not cracking.
03:07They will be here.
03:10Nevermore.
03:11There has been a lot of great designers
03:13that have come out of this show,
03:15but not a lot of designers are as resourceful as you.
03:19And I really want to take a look at that.
03:21Yeah.
03:22I should be on RuPaul's Drag Race,
03:23because I think it's really important to show people
03:25that you can create a lot of things for less than $100.
03:29We try to make all of our outfits for under that,
03:32and everything is completely recycled.
03:34We don't waste any scraps.
03:36A lot of people look at my drag and think that it's completely
03:38unattainable and that they can't do it.
03:40And I just want to show people that you don't need thousands of dollars
03:43to be a drag superstar.
03:45You don't need thousands of dollars to look and feel fabulous.
03:48All you need is just some gumption, some taste,
03:51and a little bit of fabric.
03:53And then you can be anything you want to be.
03:55Now I'm curious.
03:56How much did you spend on your package?
03:57On my whole package?
03:58I don't know, probably like $1,000.
04:00That is amazing.
04:02So the next time I'm on Drag Race, I'm going to call you.
04:04Oh, man, you should.
04:05Me and Gidget make everything.
04:06And she doesn't want to be on Drag Race.
04:08She just wants to design for Drag Race.
04:10Well, tell my sister I say, hey.
04:11I will.
04:12You also weren't afraid to say what you don't like about drag.
04:15Yeah.
04:16I need to watch this.
04:17I hate bad drag.
04:19Stop putting on little ice skating leotards.
04:22This isn't Todd Thurston Tiaras.
04:24We're not trying out for Honey Boo Boo's Drag Race.
04:27Like, calm down.
04:28Stop having ripped fishnets if I think your drag is bad.
04:31I'm not going to be like, oh my god, like that bracelet's like so cute.
04:34Where did you get it?
04:34Like, no, like, girl, you're busted.
04:36You look busted and you're going to stay busted.
04:38I know, you were kind of like reading.
04:40You were key king, but what is bad drag to you, really?
04:43Like, drag without, like, taste or without, like, a perspective or a point of view.
04:46Absolutely.
04:47Like, I understand, like, the girls who want to go out and, like, dance and that's their style,
04:50but at least, like, look good doing it.
04:52Like, my number one, like, pet peeve that I just hate to, like, visually look at is when it's, like,
04:56the leotard where it's, like, you have the hot pink tiger print here, but then sequins here,
05:01but then, like, a mesh that's not the same color as your skin tone here.
05:04It's too much.
05:05And I just want to be like, who have you ever seen in life that's worn that?
05:08Like, ever.
05:09Like, what was the inspiration?
05:11Yeah.
05:11There was none.
05:11There was none.
05:12Yeah.
05:12It's just throwing everything and then I don't get it.
05:15So, was there any drag on the show that you didn't like?
05:18I wish.
05:19I literally wish.
05:21I was coming here, like, I'm so excited to read some girls.
05:23Like, this is going to be so fun.
05:25And then somehow this was, like, an all-stars level season where everybody just looked good.
05:29You know, that is amazing that you said that because you come off as the type of girl that
05:34will come in and read, but for you to come on here and say that all of your competitors had
05:38great drag, you're a nice bitch.
05:40I am.
05:41I just look mean.
05:43What do you feel was the moment in your video?
05:47Oh, bitch, like, playing guitar in front of so many people.
05:50Like, there's not a lot of guitar playing drag queens.
05:52And I thought that that was, like, everything.
05:54When they have that shot behind me and you just see everybody singing along with me,
05:57I'm like, this is everything.
05:58I'm finally a rock star.
06:00So what was your cringiest moment in your videotape?
06:03Okay, honestly, a lot of my tapes, like, I don't like watching back.
06:07This is one tape where I can watch it from start to finish and say that I love all of
06:10it.
06:10I love that.
06:11And you know what time it is?
06:12What time is it?
06:13It's time to read, baby.
06:14The library is now open.
06:16Okay.
06:16We're about to watch some of your reads of the alumni of RuPaul's Drag Race.
06:22Uh-oh.
06:22Who better to start with than my honorary drag daughter, Bosco.
06:25I mean, honestly, Bosco got to drag race with just three pairs of lingerie and all of my outfits.
06:31I mean, you could have convinced me that the bitch dressed like plaid, but look at that pose.
06:35Honestly, why buy the original when you can get the sheen for half the price?
06:38Oh my god, that was good.
06:42And we have Diabetti.
06:44A queen trying so hard to be edgy that she makes Taylor Swift look punk.
06:48A queen so delusional that she makes Milk look sane.
06:51Oh, you weren't holding your word.
06:53I guess not.
06:53I wanted to get on TV.
06:55You are good, sister.
06:57And I like how you're reading the girls who, like, have, like, are in the same, like, kind of drag
07:01wheelhouse.
07:02You're really eating them up.
07:03I'm the blueprint.
07:04Okay.
07:05Jan Sport, a queen so safe that she makes kitten heels look dangerous.
07:10Quick, somebody worn Eureka.
07:13That one's gonna come back to bite me in the ass.
07:14You know what?
07:15These are some of the best reads that I've seen in this Hello, Hello, Hello season.
07:18Well, unfortunately, I came and talked on Jan for being safe so much.
07:22Uh-huh.
07:22I was safe the whole time.
07:23Whoa.
07:23I was like, God damn it.
07:24I get how she feels.
07:25You jinx yourself, sister.
07:26I sure did.
07:27Oh, the library was open.
07:30But were the books worth checking out?
07:32Comment below.
07:34So we're gonna keep this messiness going and I'm gonna ask you a series of questions
07:39that you can answer as fast as you can.
07:41Quick fire.
07:42Okay.
07:42Who was the biggest flirt on the show?
07:45Athena.
07:46And who do you text the most with?
07:48Briar.
07:50Who are you taking out of the group chat?
07:53Sierra.
07:53Is there a second group chat?
07:55Not yet.
07:56Ooh.
07:57Who had the best entrance look this season?
08:00Me.
08:01Who was ready for a little chaos?
08:03Us.
08:04Who was your biggest competition when you walked into the work room?
08:06Jane.
08:07Who's the most delusional?
08:08They would say me, but I would say Athena.
08:11Who's the messiest?
08:13Kenya.
08:13And who is the most likely to crash out on the internet?
08:17Athena.
08:19Pretty consistent.
08:20And while we all got on the show, I would love to know who shouldn't have auditioned.
08:25Who shouldn't have auditioned?
08:27Honestly, I would love to name somebody, but like I said, this season was so jam-packed
08:32with all-stars that I'd like to say all of them shouldn't have auditioned because I wanted to win.
08:35Period.
08:36Well, cheers, babe.
08:37And I think you are so wonderful, so talented, so cool, in and out of drag.
08:43And congratulations to everything you do, doing, and will do in the future.
08:48Thank you, baby.
08:49I can wait to see you again.
08:51Literally text me.
08:51I will.
08:52Okay.
08:52Well, give me your number.
08:53I will.
08:53Okay.
08:54All right, get out of here, guys.
08:55Bye.
