00:00What's up, everybody?
00:01If you don't know by now, I'm Richard Rawlings,
00:03and I'm here at the world headquarters of Gas Monkey Garage,
00:05and tonight we've got a pretty special episode for you.
00:08You know, the past seasons of this show
00:09have been nothing short of a wild ride.
00:11From the good times to the bad,
00:12it's you folks at home that have been with us
00:14throughout the entire journey.
00:15Without you guys, Gas Monkey wouldn't even have a TV show,
00:18and we wouldn't be where we are today.
00:20It's one of the many reasons that we're going to take time tonight
00:22and have a look back at some of the fan favorites from the show.
00:25The builds, the monkeys, does it matter?
00:27If you like it, it's a favorite,
00:29and we're going to show it to you.
00:30So we got on the old interwebs and put out a call,
00:32and you guys responded, like, a lot.
00:35So grab a cold beverage of your choice,
00:37or a warm one if that's what you're into.
00:39Kick up your feet, and enjoy the show.
00:43Beer assistant!
00:48Right now on Fast and Loud,
00:51hot rod hunter Richard Rawlings and his band of monkeys
00:54celebrate the most important people of all, the fans.
00:57Try to totally get me some of that.
00:59The most diehard fans will reveal their top builds.
01:03The baddest of the bunch has to be the Copa Camaro.
01:05That black 49 Chevy.
01:0637 Buick Indy car.
01:08Favorite monkeys.
01:09Go, Christy.
01:10Go, girl.
01:11Watching Sue go after Richard was hilarious.
01:14Ass monkey.
01:15Culminating in their top three most epic moments
01:18in the history of Gas Monkey.
01:19Are you freaking kidding me?
01:20Is he landing?
01:23120, 130, world record.
01:25We passed a long time ago.
01:26You're terminated!
01:28Go!
01:34So we had a lot of people reach out
01:36and tell us what their favorites were,
01:37but it is only a one-hour show,
01:39so here's the best.
01:41What's up, Gas Monkey?
01:42My favorite build on the show was the Scout to Hell.
01:45I've always wanted a Scout,
01:46and now I want one with the Hellcrate motor in it.
01:51The Scout build was a lot of fun,
01:53and I bought it from a dude here in Dallas named Mike.
01:56So it's got AC, and it's got the V8 motor,
01:59and four-wheel drive, and tilt steering wheel.
02:01Tilt steering wheel.
02:02We absolutely don't need any of that.
02:08Come on.
02:10Door handle don't work.
02:11That's a negative.
02:12Paid $12,500 for it, which was a good deal.
02:14Oh, congratulations, you're on the Scout.
02:16We loaded it up and dragged it back to Gas Monkey.
02:19What is that?
02:22International Scout.
02:23Rev it up, let's hear it.
02:28Here's my thinking.
02:29This, to me, is more of a cruiser.
02:30You know, we got a Hellcrate up there.
02:32It's a cruiser that happens to go really fast.
02:35Then I let the monkeys loose to get to work.
02:37Let's do it.
02:42Like I said, my plan was crystal clear.
02:44To everyone except Jeremy.
02:46Maybe.
02:47He went off and ordered some parts that were all wrong for the build I wanted.
02:51What do you think this is?
02:52Some really expensive parts, that is.
02:54We could just build the drag car.
02:55It's here.
02:56No drag car.
02:57This needs to be a cool cruiser.
02:58That's where it's going to bring the money.
03:00Once I got that straightened out, the monkeys were off and running.
03:02All along, I wanted to keep the factory orange on the Scout,
03:05but update the stripe package.
03:07Are these the exact stripes, or did you, uh...
03:09These are the exact stripes.
03:10Normally, they end right there.
03:12The red, the orange stripes do.
03:13That's where the build hit some bumps, and that didn't make me happy.
03:16That doesn't look good.
03:17That doesn't look good.
03:18That doesn't look good.
03:19That doesn't look good.
03:21I was looking to make some big money on this build,
03:23and that meant every detail had to be perfect.
03:26And the paint?
03:27Let's just say Mike and the guys stepped up when they needed to.
03:32That Scout blew my mind.
03:33I've never seen one with a Hellcrate motor in it.
03:36Absolutely awesome.
03:38No kidding, because no one had ever put one in a Scout before.
03:41That's Gas Monkey kicking down the doors.
03:44The Scout to Hell is one of the coolest builds
03:46come out of Gas Monkey Garage.
03:47From the motor, to the interior, to the paint.
03:51It was all done perfectly, and I'm not the only one to think so.
03:54It's everything a car enthusiast would want.
03:59When I took him for a ride, I pinned him to the back of the seat,
04:01and I put a smile on my man Barry's face.
04:05A $200,000 smile.
04:07All right, two it is, man.
04:09Gas Monkey got paid.
04:11Weren't you glad I said that?
04:13That build was really badass.
04:14I mean, swapping a Hellcrate into the Scout
04:16and putting cash in my pocket?
04:18It should go like that every time.
04:19Hey, guys.
04:20My favorite Gas Monkey build is that Porsche 996
04:23you stuffed that LS into.
04:24So I'd totally get me some of that.
04:28We actually picked up the 996 from Dennis originally.
04:31It's a 2000 Carrera, obviously a cab,
04:33one owner, local Dallas car,
04:35but it's got one minor problem.
04:37Dennis took this in on trade,
04:38realized it had a little bad motor action.
04:41Yikes.
04:42But whereas Dennis just saw lemons,
04:44I saw margaritas.
04:45And because it was only $12,000,
04:48we had no problem hacking it up
04:50to fit an LS crate motor.
04:53And in the ultimate battle
04:54between German precision and raw muscle car...
04:57Hey, guys, you know the drill.
04:58Yeah, let's go!
05:00We raced it against my brand-new Porsche.
05:07In the end,
05:07the 15-year newer car barely eked out the win.
05:11Proven once again...
05:12Well, actually, I don't really know what that proves,
05:14except for Dennis should pay more attention
05:16to what he takes in trade.
05:17What's up, Richard?
05:18So my favorite build of the show
05:20is that black 49 Chevy you showed off
05:22at the Lundstar Throwdown.
05:24Yeah, I love that one, too.
05:26Look, there it is over there.
05:27It started out as a farm truck.
05:29I don't think this truck got worked very hard.
05:31It only cost me two grand.
05:33Okay, we'll take $2,000 for it.
05:34There we go.
05:35But if we wanted to make it last,
05:37we were woefully short on time.
05:39When you're building a show-quality truck,
05:41I mean, that takes most people months, if not years.
05:43And LST is in six weeks.
05:47But the guys busted their rears
05:50and miraculously turned that farm truck
05:53into a high-quality show truck.
05:56At the Lundstar Throwdown, it was a huge success.
05:59We're going to start with the best debut award,
06:02and that goes to a black 49 Chevy pickup.
06:05To the good folks at Gas Monkey,
06:07come on up and get your award.
06:09But for me, the real test was turning it around
06:12for a huge payday.
06:17Man, it sounds good.
06:19And against a formidable negotiator.
06:21I'm thinking this truck's worth around 175 grand.
06:24It's not that cool of a truck.
06:26You don't even have a driver's license, dude.
06:27Get out of here.
06:28Who asked you anyways?
06:29I'll go 150, and that's it.
06:32All right, 150.
06:33Deal.
06:34Thank you, sir.
06:34What do you think about that, dude?
06:35I think it's a good deal.
06:36All right, works for me.
06:37Let's go do some paperwork.
06:40Hey, Richard, my favorite build of all time
06:42is a 1937 Buick Indy car.
06:44I love old vintage race cars.
06:46It doesn't get any better than that.
06:48That build was badass.
06:52I bought that car from my friend David Coker
06:54for 125 grand.
06:56It is a recreation of the Schaefer 8
06:59that was run at Indy between 33 and 37.
07:02And it sat around at Gas Monkey for a while
07:04with no plan to build it.
07:05That is until Tony Taylor let me know.
07:07Have I got a sweet deal for you?
07:09I like sweet deals.
07:11He had a buyer with some deep pockets.
07:12He's buying up some cool old cars.
07:14I think the vintage Indy car would work perfect for him.
07:18And I mean deep.
07:19He has his own bank.
07:20Oh, I like people with their own banks.
07:22Once I knew there was potential for large profit,
07:24well, I had the monkeys get after it.
07:26Let's just get it apart and find what we got.
07:32The build wasn't without its struggles.
07:34Oh.
07:36This is going to look like crap.
07:37Come on.
07:44But in the end, the monkeys came through
07:47and built a badass Indy race car.
07:50There it is.
07:50Oh, yeah.
07:51Do it.
07:54What do we want it?
07:55Yeah.
07:57Then Russell, Tony, and I hopped on a plane to Georgia.
07:59It's a beautiful day in the South.
08:01When we get done, we can go have some pie and collard greens.
08:03Where we met the potential buyer, Tony's old boss, Dale.
08:06All right.
08:06Richard Rawlings, how are you?
08:07Now, Dale, well, he's got a ton of cash.
08:10Wow.
08:11Super cool.
08:12And he loves vintage cars.
08:14Now, these are rad.
08:15Yeah, those are pretty special right there.
08:16All right.
08:17So where's the Buick?
08:18So when he laid eyes on our 37 Buick.
08:20Wow.
08:20Look at this thing.
08:21He couldn't help but show how excited he was about the car.
08:24I could see the green tail of the car, and I was getting really excited.
08:31This thing's rad.
08:33And once we got him in the driver's seat on the track, well, it'll go.
08:38Hook, line, and sinker.
08:40What do you think about that?
08:41Wow.
08:42Well, I saw your dealerships and all your toys, so I know you got the money.
08:45I mean, I'll come down to 160.
08:47Make it 155, and you got a deal.
08:50I can do that.
08:52I ain't gonna argue over five grand.
08:53You need this for your wallet?
08:57A hundred and fifty-five grand in the bank.
09:00Yeah, that was a super cool car.
09:02Super cool money.
09:04Speaking of cool cars, well, that's kind of the backbone of our show.
09:07Fast, loud, and super badass.
09:10And you fans seem to agree.
09:11I'm all about the gas monkey builds with huge motors.
09:14I'm talking 500 horsepower plus.
09:16They always seem to put a smile on Richard's face.
09:22This truck is awesome.
09:32This motor just screams.
09:34I mean, it's hard to describe how loud it is.
09:36It's roar that makes you want to drop a load in your pants.
09:39Tons of your cars have killer motors, but the baddest of the bunch has to be the Copo Camaro.
09:43That thing was insane.
09:48That Copo had a serious motor.
09:52It was made for the drag strip.
09:54Get you some of that.
09:57Unfortunately, it wasn't made for the drive-through.
09:59Hi.
10:00Hi.
10:00I'm going to help you.
10:01Chicken sandwich.
10:02I'm going to go fly.
10:03Huh?
10:03I got chicken sandwich.
10:05I got chicken sandwich.
10:06Chicken sandwich.
10:08Okay, you want chicken sandwich?
10:11Okay, I'm a truck guy, so when I first saw the motor, you guys put in the crew cut, it
10:15was insane.
10:19Got it.
10:20Thanks, sounds neat.
10:21A 496 LSX, are you kidding me?
10:26Here the motor on that Krooker was unbelievable.
10:29Man, 600 horsepower rolling down the road reminds me why I love high rides.
10:36Not only finding, but resurrecting that iconic truck was definitely a killer moment in Fast and Loud history.
10:42It must have been the green paint job.
10:44It definitely wasn't the green paint job.
10:45That truck would look awesome no matter what color it was.
10:49Whatever, dude.
10:49Green is mean and clean, Jelly Bean.
10:51Other colors do too, Peggy Sue.
10:53Don't call me Sue.
10:54I will karate chop you.
10:56So hands down, my favorite build is the 76 C10.
11:01With that LS7 swap the guys did, I drove one in high school every day.
11:06It was totally awesome.
11:09I mean, with that LS7 motor and all the other performance mods, that thing was the ultimate sleeper.
11:14I plan on doing the same thing with my truck to get some serious horsepower.
11:18Get you some of that.
11:19Woo!
11:20Boom.
11:23Coming up on Fast and Loud, the fans are off to the races.
11:27Having a gas monkey car going around the Indy 500.
11:30Woo!
11:31And later, the fans' top three favorite moments.
11:33Badass.
11:34Get you some.
11:35But does Richard get to tell his?
11:37So the fans get to go and then I don't.
11:39Ain't gonna happen.
11:40Forget about it.
11:43Welcome back, fans.
11:44Now, I love every single build that Gas Monkey's done.
11:47And not just because, well, Gas Monkey built them.
11:49And all of us at the shop know you don't tune in just for the builds.
11:52We got thousands of opinions on everything that we do here at the shop, whether it's Phoebe the shop dog
11:58or the paint in the background or, you know, what ring I'm wearing that day.
12:03I mean, you guys got an eye for detail.
12:05But what we got the most submissions on was some of the race teams that we've sponsored over the years.
12:09From Indy racing to motocross to NASCAR to monster trucks, we've been getting the Gas Monkey name out there on
12:15all platforms.
12:16And it looks like you guys like what you see.
12:18Hey, Richard.
12:19I love the racing parts of the show.
12:21My favorite part is when you had the car at the Indy 500.
12:23Get you some.
12:24You know what we're doing today?
12:26We're at the Indy 500 launching Gas Monkey Energy Dream.
12:29Woo!
12:30I'm just a die.
12:31Woo!
12:32Watching Sage Karam represent Gas Monkey at Indy was awesome.
12:36This is always so sick, this moment.
12:38You make your way out here and it's just boom.
12:40Free play.
12:42Having a Gas Monkey car going around the Indy 500, that must have been surreal.
12:46Right now we've moved up eight spots and we're running faster than anybody else on the track.
12:51You're crushing it.
12:53You're absolutely right, dear fan.
12:55I mean, having a car in the 100th anniversary of the Indy 500, that was a high point.
13:02And even though we didn't make it to the finish line.
13:08Are you kidding me?
13:10We've got a ton of eyes on the Gas Monkey brand.
13:14Holy crap.
13:15I've always said, if you're not going to win, crash and crash big.
13:18Look at the right side.
13:19Those guys are still working.
13:20We need to go borrow.
13:24So, a little words of wisdom from Uncle Richie.
13:26You've got to spread your eggs around in a lot of different baskets.
13:29And doing Indy, well, that was the egg that started our venture into a lot of different motorsports.
13:37Here we go.
13:38Texas Motor Speedway, AAA 500, NASCAR.
13:42What's going on?
13:44Love it.
13:45How do you not love it?
13:47That is badass.
13:48You want cars driving by.
13:50I love seeing all the badass race teams you sponsor.
13:53This is Monster Train.
13:57Especially the Monster Train.
13:58Come on, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
14:02Yeah.
14:03Get you some of that.
14:05You guys having fun yet?
14:07No, no.
14:07Dude, that was rad.
14:09But I got to ask, why horse racing?
14:14What's faster and louder than horse racing?
14:17That's what I'm talking about.
14:18Woo!
14:19Texas Red and Gas Monkey.
14:21Woo!
14:22Have you ever heard of a little thing called horsepower?
14:25Where do you think that came from?
14:29Come on, baby.
14:32Come on.
14:33American feral by your head.
14:44Well, young lady, I asked myself that very same question.
14:47One thing that always seems to come up is the early days biker build-off and our friendly rivalry with
14:53the Tuttles.
14:54You know what we should do?
14:55What's that?
14:55Make a parody and put it on their website just to jazz with them.
14:58That whole biker build-off thing you did was really cool.
15:01I especially love the spoof you did of American Chopper.
15:03It was hilarious.
15:04You know what time it is?
15:05Hell yeah, I know what time it is.
15:07I just got through watching the Flintstones.
15:08I mean, it's a quarter till five in the morning, and you're just now rolling in.
15:12You think this stuff gets built by itself?
15:14You know, Pops just doesn't get it.
15:17Well, this need you.
15:19We never did.
15:20I'm out of here.
15:21Why don't you just?
15:22You're turning it in.
15:25But that was just the appetizer.
15:27The real story was the bikes themselves, and ours was Fred.
15:31And if you don't know what that stands for, it's ride every day.
15:35Hey, Gas Monkey.
15:36My favorite part of the show is watching you guys do a biker build-off against those Chopper
15:39guys and Jesse James.
15:40It's about to get loud, fast and loud.
15:43Coming out, Richard Rawlings and Aaron Kaufman.
15:47The biker build-off was an important moment for Gas Monkey.
15:51It showed that we could outbuild anyone, no matter if it's car or bike.
15:57Fred was definitely the best bike there.
15:59You guys should have definitely won.
16:01Oh, I agree.
16:03It's the right color, the right bike, and it got here faster than anyone.
16:06And don't forget, we rode our bike to Vegas.
16:09Wow.
16:10That's over 1,200 miles.
16:14Even though we didn't win the contest.
16:16In second place, Gas Monkey.
16:19It was still a win for Gas Monkey Garage.
16:22The one thing we wanted to do was build a real motorcycle, born in Milwaukee, tag, title,
16:27licensed, and ride that to Vegas.
16:29Anyone who watched that show could see that our bike was the best of the three.
16:34And we solidified our spot as one of the best bike building hot rod shops in the world.
16:41Hey, Richard, the biker build-off was cool and all.
16:43However, the monkey biker build-off was my favorite of all.
16:47Well, thanks.
16:48I agree.
16:49The monkey bike build-off was awesome.
16:52You just say that because you won.
16:53How dare you?
16:54Of course I won.
16:55Can you please go?
16:56I just, I can't relax when you're around.
16:58I need my space.
17:01I thought we'd have some fun.
17:03We're going to have a little contest.
17:04You're each going to pick one of these lovely bikes.
17:06Y'all got two weeks to build them.
17:08And everybody gets up to $1,000.
17:10You can build it any style you want.
17:12I don't care if you go back to original.
17:13I don't care if you get crazy.
17:15You've just only got two weeks and you only got a grand.
17:17There will be a prize for the best-looking bike.
17:20Everybody here at the shop knows I live and breathe motorcycles.
17:23So when the opportunity came up, I seized it.
17:26And then some.
17:28But that's not to say that I didn't have some troubles.
17:32It's so pathetic.
17:33Got the short straw here.
17:35And I didn't even get to choose straws.
17:37I don't even get a motorcycle lift.
17:39It's also safe to say that everybody else probably had some troubles too.
17:43I have no idea what it was.
17:46So what's happening, man?
17:47Why are you making a mess?
17:48Well, the engine was seized up when I got it.
17:52Oh my God.
17:53Yeah.
17:54Look at the gift I had inside my tank.
17:55I mean, literally half the tank is full of rusty metal chips.
18:01It's putting out a little bit of smoke, but that's normal, right?
18:05I'm f***ing f***ing.
18:09Start it over.
18:10I almost feel bad for the other guys in the competition.
18:12With a kick-ass bike like this, there's no way I could lose.
18:19But despite all the issues that came up, all the monkeys built some cool, badass bikes.
18:26I told the guys that I was going to give them a prize for the best motorcycle.
18:29It was really hard for me to choose, so I came up with a really good plan.
18:33Guys, all these bikes, well, we're going to take them to leak auction.
18:37But in the end, guess whose bike ended up making the most profit at auction?
18:41Twice.
18:42So, so, so, so, so, so long.
18:44The hondo closed out at almost three times what I had in it, so percentage-wise, Koi wins.
18:50The best man and bike won.
18:53Ten, Chris, $100 bills.
18:56Ten, $100 bills.
18:58Thanks, sucker.
19:00Thanks, Richard.
19:04Coming up on Fast and Loud.
19:06I'm taking my beaver, and I'm taking my nuggets, and I'm leaving.
19:09The fans revealed their favorite monkeys.
19:11You go, girl.
19:13And Richard's all-time favorite moment.
19:16Are you finished?
19:16No, I'm good.
19:17Now I get to tell you what my favorite one was.
19:19That's it, don't go anywhere.
19:23Welcome back, Fast and Loud fans.
19:25Now that you're reminiscing, I guarantee you remember the first day that Christy started working here.
19:30You're a gas monkey.
19:31I mean, of course you did.
19:32The guy who does my hair, he says his wife's looking for work, and I figure, what the hell?
19:36Maybe she can help us out.
19:38So, basically, what I'm needing is a go-to person.
19:41I mean...
19:42I can do your stuff.
19:43Can you put up with my though?
19:45I have six kids.
19:46Six kids?
19:47I can pretty much put up with whatever you've got.
19:49Oh, I don't know.
19:50That's a challenge right there.
19:51You calling me out?
19:53I know, yeah.
19:53Christy is my favorite person on the show because she calls out Richard whenever he acts up, and it is
19:58hilarious.
19:59You go, girl.
20:00You're going to miss your flight, and you park like go to the door.
20:03No.
20:04I'm taking my beaver, and I'm taking my nuggets, and I'm leaving.
20:07I am not going to NOLA.
20:08Yeah, you are.
20:09I am not going.
20:10It's the start of the rally.
20:11No.
20:12The start of the rally, there'll be hundreds of thousands of people there.
20:15Is that Richard math?
20:16A hundred thousands of people?
20:17Yes.
20:18What's up?
20:19Let's go like you doing a place like this.
20:21Here's yours, Erin.
20:23Dang, what's up?
20:24Can I at least get my burger?
20:28Finding.
20:29You suck.
20:30Howdy, man.
20:31I might have a cheeseburger and some french fries.
20:33What do you want?
20:34I'm good.
20:35I'm going to skedaddle out of here.
20:36Make that for one, then.
20:37What is it?
20:38Am I driving?
20:38No, it's your company.
20:39Why are you bothering me?
20:41Because I basically have nothing else to do.
20:42My barcode's not done.
20:43I came in here to try to relax, and you just kicked me off.
20:46I'm moving.
20:47All right, I'm out of here.
20:49You're an ass.
20:51I hate him.
20:53My favorite part of the show is seeing Christy take no crap from Richard.
20:58You go, girl.
21:00It's about damn time.
21:02You said be here at 11.
21:03It's like 11.30.
21:05Wow.
21:06Look, it's about the size of your head, Richard.
21:09I'm thinking I shave it like yours on the sides.
21:11I think that's a terrible idea.
21:13Why?
21:14Because you've got a big peanut head.
21:16Deal with her.
21:17You're a jerk.
21:25Jerk.
21:25What is that?
21:28Hey, squirrel.
21:29Written work.
21:29Let's look at the cool stuff.
21:31Give me the little Richard.
21:33God, give me the damn thing.
21:35Shut the hell up and just read them.
21:36All right, all right, all right, all right.
21:37You can't argue with that.
21:39I mean, Christy doesn't take any crap from me.
21:40As a matter of fact, she doesn't take any crap from anyone, human or monkey.
21:44I love Christy because she speaks her mind and keeps all the guys in line.
21:48The whole thing's kind of a mistake.
21:50It was better white.
21:51You think?
21:52What?
21:52It looks like ass black.
21:55That's right, Christy.
21:56Go, girl.
21:57What's on the honeydew list today from good old Richard?
22:00You know what?
22:00Shut up with your honeydew.
22:02I'm trying to dig you out of a hole.
22:03Why don't you go worry about your office and we'll get the car right for you?
22:07Oh, my God.
22:09Oh, my God.
22:10Oh, my God.
22:11Oh, my God.
22:12Wow.
22:14Oh, my God.
22:16Oh, my God.
22:17Richard, I love how you and Sue are always fighting like a married couple.
22:20She's always picking on you.
22:22You know what I'm going to use for you?
22:23Come on.
22:23I feel like I kill him because he always bring me the junk.
22:27She's going to stab me.
22:28That's the reason I want to suit you.
22:29I'll kick his ass.
22:30Hold on.
22:31Come on.
22:31It's been a bad day.
22:32Just go ahead and pull the trigger.
22:33I don't care.
22:34Watching Sue go after Richard was hilarious.
22:37I tried to kill him.
22:39I think I'm going to kill him.
22:41Why not this day I'm going to kick his ass?
22:44Ass monkey.
22:47Really?
22:47Attempts on my life amuse you?
22:49Well, I mean, kind of.
22:50Seriously?
22:53That's not very nice.
22:54Luckily, I don't think she actually wants to kill me.
22:57But she does know karate.
22:59Ass monkey.
23:00Choose which one you want.
23:01Has weapons.
23:02He going to pay.
23:03And knows how to use them.
23:04One, two, three, four, five.
23:06See?
23:06You think I'm crazy?
23:08So I'm just better off playing it safe.
23:10Ass monkey.
23:11Ass monkey.
23:14My favorite moment was when Russell joined Gas Monkey.
23:17I'm a big fan of his on Garage Rehab.
23:20So naturally, I was stoked when he joined Fast and Loud.
23:23Well, fan of mine, that actually happens to be my favorite moment, too.
23:27You got a fan.
23:29Gas Monkey Garage.
23:31Oh, it doesn't look like anybody's here.
23:33Let's see if I can't get him to come outside.
23:42Wow.
23:46Shortest burnout ever.
23:47Hello, monkeys.
23:48True New York style right there.
23:49Loud and obnoxious.
23:51How you doing, Russell?
23:51Where is the old shiny one?
23:54Well, the fact is, Gas Monkey is always expanding.
23:57And Richard, unfortunately, can't do it by himself.
24:00So he needed to bring in some help.
24:03I'm running six different companies from this chair.
24:05And all I have is Daphne.
24:07Sounds like what you're missing is Russell.
24:10All right, Russell.
24:11So I can get started now?
24:12Yeah, but you're going to have to lose that accident.
24:16Sorry, Richard.
24:17Forget about it.
24:19I'm feeling verklempt.
24:20Russell, love seeing you on Team Gas Monkey and Fast and Loud.
24:24What's your favorite part of being on the show?
24:27That's a great question.
24:28Kind of tough to answer.
24:29I get to work with a great group of guys.
24:31Whatever I can do to help you get this torn down in an hour, I'm here for you.
24:35Just one question.
24:36Do you guys have a jackhammer or a jackhammer?
24:39Wait a minute.
24:39Are you talking about jackhammer?
24:40You look like you're...
24:41I'm a sledgehammer guy.
24:42I'm a sledgehammer guy.
24:44We'll start you out slow.
24:48I may not know cars like the monkeys, but I do know I got to keep this thing on time
24:52and
24:52on budget.
24:53So I kind of got to help out.
24:55And have a ton of fun every day.
25:00That's dumb.
25:01The truck or him or that wicky ass burnout?
25:03Both.
25:04Hey, kids, you got your seatbelt on?
25:06Yeah, Dad.
25:07What's the height of this thing?
25:09It's close, but we duck.
25:10Hold on, you're going to hit it.
25:12All right, go.
25:14Oh, my God.
25:14It's like a whole taco in his mouth.
25:18That big is your mouth.
25:20We're not even doing donuts.
25:21We're doing circles.
25:22Yeah, but circles we're going to tump over.
25:24It won't go two wheels.
25:25You know why?
25:26Well, I'm the counterbalance.
25:30Here, you steer.
25:31Woo!
25:33Look, Mom, no hands!
25:34Well, I'm glad you're happy here, Russell, but the accident's got to go.
25:38Oh, ain't going to happen.
25:39Forget about it.
25:41Coming up on Fast and Loud, the monkeys pile on their favorite moments.
25:46Why my favorite moment?
25:47By all means, go ahead.
25:49But will Richard finally get his say?
25:51So now I get to tell you what my favorite one was.
25:55Is he landing?
26:01Welcome back, fans.
26:02So far, we've rebuilt some pretty great moments in Fast and Loud,
26:05but now it's time for me to tell you what I think is...
26:07What are you up to?
26:09Well, I'm about to tell them my number one favorite of Fast and Loud of all time.
26:13Well, I have a favorite moment.
26:14Well, by all means, go ahead.
26:16Well, my favorite moment of the show involves a badass coupe,
26:19a magazine cover, and a dream coming true.
26:24It all started off when Richard found a Barn Find 34 Coupe in Oklahoma.
26:29He brought in Brian Bass, an expert at 30 models Fords.
26:33I just found this in Tulsa.
26:35How do you find this stuff, man?
26:36Because I'm looking all the time.
26:37That's what I do at night instead of sleep.
26:39Man, it looks solid.
26:39I'm going to jet up there tomorrow. You want to go?
26:41Yeah, why not, dude? I would love to see that thing.
26:45So I grabbed Brian and we headed to Tulsa to check it out.
26:48What's going on, guys?
26:49Hey, how you doing? Jason.
26:50As soon as the owner Jason opened up the barn doors, holy cow, we knew we scored.
26:56Holy crap.
26:56This thing was a hot rod, a legit old hot rod.
27:00Oh, there's the grill.
27:01The grill's in the trunk.
27:02There you go.
27:02Dude.
27:02Is there a stack of $100 bills in there, too?
27:04I wasn't going to let this one get away.
27:06And how about 15 cash?
27:07You got yourself a deal.
27:08Kick ass.
27:09So I got it bought, and that thing was headed home to Texas.
27:15Bam.
27:16Right from the jump, we knew we wanted to build this car.
27:18I really want to do a Chrysler Hemi, early Chrysler Hemi.
27:21Like a 392?
27:22331.
27:22That's the very first one they made.
27:24We're going to chop the top, put some giant tires on the back.
27:26Little ones on the front.
27:27And then somehow, Brian talked me into building a blue car.
27:30No way.
27:31Oh, you hate blue.
27:32You know what?
27:33If you let somebody else talk you into blue after all the times we've tried to talk you
27:36into blue, it's not fair, is it?
27:38Shh.
27:38Let's not screw it up.
27:39I gave the monkeys 50 grand in three and a half weeks to build a badass 34 coupe.
27:43It's going to be tight, but we can do it.
27:44So there you go.
27:45Get inside and get it apart.
27:46Let's get dirty.
27:46Once we were on the same page, it was time to get busy.
27:50No detail was overlooked.
27:52Get this thing underway.
27:53No corners were cut.
27:54Where do I start?
27:55I'm plugging it in.
27:57Well, actually, we cut a lot of corners, like the five-inch chop on the roof.
28:01All right.
28:01Should be free.
28:02There you go.
28:03We ended up needing more time than we actually thought.
28:05Dang, go ahead.
28:06And that meant more money.
28:08Aw, dude.
28:09I came in because I know I want this car to be perfect.
28:12Luckily, after that point, everything came together on the build.
28:14One, two, three, go.
28:17Very nice.
28:18And the paint, home run.
28:20I mean, a grand freaking slam.
28:22Oh, my gosh.
28:22It looks so good.
28:26When the day of the photo shoot came, we were ready and proud of what we built.
28:31The car looked amazing.
28:33And we were all excited to be part of Hot Rod history.
28:36This truly was a lifelong dream for me and Gas Monkey.
28:40On the cover of Hot Rod magazine, are you kidding me?
28:42A moment I'll remember forever.
28:45Bam!
28:46Oh, hell no.
28:47That's a piece.
28:47You can keep it by my own.
28:49So there you have it.
28:50We've been showing you guys and gals your favorite moments, your favorite builds, your favorite
28:54things about Fast and Loud, and now it's time to get to mine.
28:57Wait, I don't get to say what my favorite is?
28:59Yeah, sure.
29:00Anybody else got a favorite?
29:01I mean, why not?
29:02Uh, my favorite involves a movie.
29:06All I see is red lights and Priuses.
29:08We're in California, then.
29:10Yeah.
29:11It all started when Academy Award-nominated actor Gary Sinise of Forrest Gump fame called
29:16Gas Monkey and asked Richard and I to fly out to L.A. to talk some business.
29:19Gary Sinise, I'm stoked.
29:21There's the man himself right there.
29:23Hey!
29:23He's become an advocate for disabled American veterans, supporting them through his charity,
29:26clearly named the Gary Sinise Foundation.
29:28I know you're a big supporter of our veterans, and we have a home dedication coming up right
29:33around Veterans Day.
29:34Okay.
29:35And I was thinking maybe we could get into a couple of vehicles with you and you could
29:40help us.
29:41Two? A couple?
29:41Well.
29:42Seems that Gary wanted us to build not one, but two Jeeps.
29:45One that they were going to use for a marketing vehicle for the Gary Sinise Foundation, and
29:48another that was going to be auctioned off for charity.
29:49And of course, the deadline was tight.
29:52Veterans Day, that's like in six weeks for two vehicles.
29:55What were we going to do though?
29:56It was Gary Sinise and it was a project for wounded veterans.
29:59We're going to do this.
30:00God bless you.
30:01Cool, man.
30:02And just like that, Gas Monkey was in business with Gary Sinise.
30:06I'm very excited about it.
30:07I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
30:11So now with a tight schedule, we had to get out of the gate and get a great start.
30:14So we reached out to the local Jeep specialist, which just happens to be my best friend Dennis
30:19Collins.
30:19Here's the deal.
30:20I need a Jeep.
30:21I need a CJ.
30:22Seven.
30:22This is a good one to start with right here.
30:24Dennis had what we were looking for.
30:26Are you going to give it to me?
30:27No.
30:27Why would I do that?
30:28Because it's for charity, man.
30:30You know how expensive it is just being your friend already?
30:33I'll sell this to you for less it's worth than parts.
30:35Six grand.
30:36So Dennis got a six grand from Richard and we got the Jeeps back to Gas Monkey, where with
30:41such little time, the monkeys got started right away.
30:44It was all monkeys and Russell on deck for this build.
30:48We were jamming along.
30:49Here's hoping for no surprises when he comes back from the blaster.
30:52Spoiler alert.
30:53There were surprises.
30:55Holy.
30:56We got a few holes.
30:58What does the other side look like?
30:59This side's pretty bad.
31:00What do you think?
31:00I think Dennis pulled a fast one, Army.
31:02I think a lot.
31:05It turned out this Jeep had a lot more rust than we had thought.
31:08But we really didn't want to let Gary or our veterans down.
31:10So it was and elbows till the Jeep build was done.
31:14Or should I say Jeeps.
31:17Dropped.
31:17This meant so much to us that everyone pitched in to help.
31:20What's up, Russ?
31:21What's up, man?
31:21Good to see you.
31:22How's things?
31:23Including our friend and veteran, Sean Adams from American Warrior Garage.
31:27It does give me a sense of pride to be able to come in and put my hands on this
31:30Jeep.
31:31Love getting in the shop and making something work and run.
31:38Let's check them out.
31:39Despite all the obstacles, the gas monkey turned out not one.
31:46Fantastic.
31:47But two badass Jeeps for the Gary Sinise Foundation.
31:50Oh, whoa.
31:51Holy cow.
31:52It's red, white, and blue.
31:54As hard as it was to pull off, the real test wasn't finishing on time.
31:57It was how much money that CJ was going to bring for the Gary Sinise Foundation.
32:01Now, the scary thing about auctions is you really never know who's going to show up.
32:05Sometimes the money's in the room, and sometimes it's not.
32:07So let's rock and roll.
32:09Do it.
32:09Oh, look in.
32:10Here we go.
32:11But I had a hunch that we'd be breaking some records.
32:15100 has been.
32:16And boy, was I right.
32:18100.
32:19120.
32:20130.
32:21World record we passed a long time ago.
32:23But now we're in uncharted territory.
32:25200.
32:27The CJ went across the block and brought 200 grand.
32:30Sold.
32:31And that's a world record for a CJ Jeep.
32:34But it wasn't over yet.
32:34Jackson, we're going to upsell the Jeep one more time.
32:36Do it again.
32:37I had to get out here.
32:38I had to duck the blue shirt.
32:39Turns out the guy that bought it for $200,000 said, you know what?
32:43I was making a donation anyways.
32:44So I'm now donating the Jeep back and we're selling it again.
32:48Sold!
32:48And this time it got another 100 grand.
32:51That's 300 grand for a Jeep.
32:53Now we still weren't done because our friends at Sunbelt, they decided to get in on the action.
32:57Sunbelt Rentals turned around and donated a million dollars also.
33:00So $1.3 million for the Gary Sinise Foundation today.
33:05And I couldn't be happier.
33:06I couldn't be more proud.
33:07I'm absolutely amazed.
33:08That kind of money makes a lot of difference in a lot of people's lives.
33:11Yeah.
33:12One of the proudest moments of my life.
33:13One of my favorite moments on the show.
33:16It's kind of the reason I do what I do.
33:17How are you going to top that next year?
33:19I'll do whatever you want.
33:20Great, man.
33:21Are you finished?
33:22Anything else?
33:23No, I'm good.
33:24Excellent.
33:25So now I get to tell you what my favorite one was.
33:27Uh, actually, we don't have any time for that.
33:29We still have to get to the top three fan favorite moments of Fast and Loud.
33:33So the fans get to go and then I don't get to go.
33:36Yeah, the fans are actually a little more important than you.
33:39This is absolutely true.
33:41Don't go anywhere, folks.
33:42We're coming back with the three top fan favorites.
33:45You can't go places if I said don't go anywhere.
33:49Coming up on Fast and Loud.
33:51Is he laying in here?
33:53The fans' top three favorite moments are announced.
33:56When Richard and the Monkees went to San Francisco.
33:58San Francisco, here we come.
34:00Seeing him get airborne in San Francisco.
34:02That was cool.
34:03Action!
34:09Is this thing still on?
34:10You guys still rolling?
34:13All right.
34:16I got one more favorite.
34:18But this time, as a fan.
34:20Here it comes.
34:36What the ?
34:40Really?
34:41I am so busted.
34:43Now, some guys might get a little pissed off when they see their guys messing around.
34:47Especially when it's happening on their time and their dime.
34:50But me?
34:50I had a little better plan for these guys.
34:53Come on, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
34:56Gotta get you some of that.
34:59Back to work.
35:01Wait a minute.
35:06Welcome back, Fast and Loud fans from the USA, the world, hell, the universe.
35:10So far, we've showed you some amazing fan favorites.
35:13Some of my very own favorites.
35:14And that's not about to stop now.
35:16We really appreciate the fans sticking with us all through these seasons.
35:18Because without y'all, well, we wouldn't be here.
35:21And now, without further ado, we're about to reveal the top three voted fan favorite builds from Gas Monkey Garage
35:27over the last seven years.
35:31What's up, monkeys?
35:32My favorite moment of the show was when the Gas Monkeys raced Ryan and his Fireball Camaro.
35:36So badass.
35:41What's up?
35:42What's going on, guys?
35:44We're gonna go over and see what the hell he's talking about.
35:46Damn.
35:47Racing Ryan was a lot of fun, but also a huge undertaking for the time frame we were given.
35:52I got pissed off when I lost last year.
35:54So we made some last minute changes.
35:56We were a lot, lot faster than we were last year.
35:58Hell, yeah.
35:59And we've got a few more passes on it.
36:02All there is to do now is make a bet and race.
36:04All right.
36:06Whoa.
36:10Whoa.
36:15Whoa.
36:20Whoa.
36:22Whoa.
36:22Whoa.
36:23Whoa.
36:23Whoa.
36:23I know it hurts.
36:2425 grand, man.
36:25Yeah.
36:25Wow.
36:26That's really worth 26 because of Gas Monkey money.
36:29And in second place, we've got something that involves helicopters, Panteras, and a racetrack.
36:34I mean, it sounds pretty awesome.
36:36Well, it was awesome.
36:39Hands down, my favorite moment of Fast and Loud was when you built that race car for my favorite driver,
36:43Kurt Busch.
36:43Are you freaking kidding me?
36:45Is he landing?
36:47Badass from the moment you landed.
36:49Thanks for cleaning the parking lot.
36:51Not bad.
36:51Not bad.
36:51You know, I saw it had to be swept off a little bit.
36:53How you doing, sir?
36:54Good to see you, brother.
36:55Whoa.
36:56There she is.
36:57Now we're talking.
36:59These Panteras are badass.
37:00I've always wanted to build one.
37:01Are you serious?
37:02This is something we should do.
37:04We, group.
37:04Yeah.
37:05When Kurt asked us to build the Pantera, I was on board with it right away.
37:09I think we can take this to the next level.
37:12The monkeys, as usual, delivered and then some.
37:17I'd say you'd probably have to come down a little bit and we have to tilt it.
37:21That's better.
37:21And then a few weeks later, we were at Charlotte Motor Speedway racing Joey Logano.
37:25Boys, we're doing it.
37:26But when the rubber hit the road.
37:28Go.
37:28Green flag.
37:30Yeah!
37:31Go, go, go, go.
37:32Come on, Gary.
37:33There you go.
37:34Come on, come on, come on.
37:35There you go.
37:36That's what I'm talking about.
37:37And the checkered flag waved.
37:39Look at that!
37:41Gas Monkey was in victory lane.
37:43Good job, guys.
37:44Woo!
37:48Well, the time has come.
37:49We're about to reveal to you the number one voted fan favorite moment of all time.
37:53It's also my favorite moment on Fast and Loud.
37:57It's number one!
37:58All right, I have to say my favorite moment on Fast and Loud has to be when Richard and
38:05the Monkees went to San Francisco to recreate the bullet chase with Chad McQueen.
38:10Today I'm out here at Texas Motorsport Ranch.
38:12I got a call from Chad McQueen, Steve McQueen's son.
38:16And he said he wanted to talk to me.
38:18And when Steve McQueen's son calls, you answer.
38:21Richard Rawlings.
38:22I know who you are, Richard.
38:23Nice to meet you, finally.
38:24Basically, Chad, the son of legendary actor Steve McQueen, asked Gas Monkey to build a
38:28replica of the 1968 Fastback Mustang featured in the iconic film Bullet, which starred Steve McQueen.
38:35Chad wanted to build the car to recreate the film's famous car chase scene using the same San Francisco roads
38:40they did in the movie.
38:41And we only had 32 days to build it and get it on set.
38:45What do you say?
38:46Yeah, I'm down for that.
38:47Is that awesome?
38:48Heck yeah, it is.
38:49It's right over here, my man.
38:52This thing's rough.
38:54Real rough.
38:55The time was not on our side, so after a gulp of pride, a handshake, and $26,000 painful
39:00dollars later, I was the proud owner of a beat-up 68 Mustang Fastback.
39:04Our intent was to build the car exactly like it was for the original movie.
39:08There you go.
39:09But then we had to make sure that it could perform and do all the stunts on those San Francisco
39:13streets.
39:14Whoa!
39:14San Francisco, here we come.
39:18Chad McQueen's at base camp.
39:20We're gonna get Richard down there momentarily.
39:22Stand by.
39:23Without the Mustang being a ringer for the one Steve McQueen drove, the shoot won't go on.
39:27Thank you so much, buddy.
39:28Yes, sir.
39:29This is great, dude.
39:30All right, here we go.
39:32The car still had to hold up and not break down as driver Chris Forsberg put it through its paces.
39:36And boy, did he.
39:48Richard, my favorite part of the bullet Mustang was seeing him get airborne in San Francisco.
39:52That was cool.
39:53Holy , that was fast.
39:58I watched the bullet movie with my dad when I was a kid, and watching the bullet Mustang do the
40:02chasing was my all-time favorite part.
40:05Go, baby, go!
40:12Our last day would be one of the most stressful on the car, and everyone was more than a little
40:16bit nervous.
40:17This L.U. Lloyd does not do this justice.
40:19It is steep.
40:21We saved the most dangerous shots for last.
40:25I'm feeling the goosebumps.
40:26The final shot was the real test.
40:29This is where we'd find out if the car we built had the chops.
40:32It's gonna take a big beating, you know?
40:34Oh, yeah.
40:34This is what we call testing.
40:36Yeah.
40:37Action!
40:38Action!
40:38Move, move, move, move, move!
40:45The Mustang survived everything we threw at it, including those insane jumps.
40:49Oh!
40:58Oh!
41:02And when the chute wrapped, our 68 Fastback was sitting strong.
41:05A testament to how good a job the Monkees did on this build.
41:08It was a proud day for Gas Monkey, and I'll never forget.
41:12Well, there you have it, folks.
41:13The number one Fast and Loud fan favorite moment of all time.
41:16And what a moment it was.
41:18I want to thank you, the fans, for sticking with us all these years.
41:21We'll keep making fun fan favorite moments for you come rain or shine.
41:25So, it's time for me to get out of here.
41:27Maybe grab a beer, a taco, another beer.
