00:03Hello and welcome in our third video update. Today we are going to tell you
00:06something more about our horse riding and since you would probably like to see
00:09someone else and me finally, Michal our programmer responsible for the horse
00:14features is going to tell you something more about it.
00:23Ok, so with our horses we wanted to strike a balance between a completely
00:27independent animal and a mindless drone. So we want you to have as much control as
00:32possible over the movement of the horse but then at some points when you will
00:37for example do something that will pose danger to the horse we want the horse to
00:40take control and and move out of the danger or just not do something. So at
00:45that moment we will for example try to not jump from a cliff if it is just too
00:49high. It will run around trees by itself, it will automatically jump over smaller
00:56obstacles. So if you own a horse it also has its own inventory system so if you
01:00have a lot of stuff it will carry it around for you. You can also whistle and
01:04the horse will come to you. So we can try that now and I will call our horse with the
01:12whistle and it will come to me. Now I will mount it. You can see the camera is animated
01:19and now you can drive around. So it has a lot of animations which we made for now.
01:29They are custom animations and they will be made through motion capture later but
01:32these are just placeholders but still we are developing our technology on them. Our
01:38aim is to have a believable horse through visuals and through animations. Ok, so we
01:44have three sets of animations for three different speeds. One is for walking, one
01:51is for trotting which is the middle speed and one is galp. We have also so-called idle to
01:58move animations so there will be different animations played if you start galloping
02:04right away or if you start walking. So for example walking looks like this and
02:11galloping looks like this. So I mentioned that we have an automatic jump so if you run to a fence
02:17it will jump in automatically. So these are the animation subsystems and also for the visuals
02:24you can also equip your horse and you can change the bridle for example or you can change the trappings.
