00:14Grazie a tutti.
00:33Grazie a tutti.
01:01Grazie a tutti.
01:04Grazie a tutti.
01:10Grazie a tutti.
01:11Grazie a tutti.
01:47Grazie a tutti.
03:00Yeah.
08:34All right, so as you can see, we are in a sort of production line facility.
10:08So, different enemies will have different shields often, kind of requiring a different cipher
10:13to take them out.
10:14So, in this case, this guy has a shield that I need my explosive cipher with.
10:27A little downward strike ability.
10:30This does a little bit of splash damage as well.
10:40So, there it is.
10:42So, there it is.
10:52Nice.
10:56So, comes in pretty handy.
11:11When I was reading this article on BG247, after they interviewed James Vance, who is one of the producers,
11:17and he was saying at Double Helix, who developed this game, when they originally pitched this type of game for
11:27Strider revival, it basically completely matched his own idea of what Strider should be if they ever brought it back.
11:35And I think that's probably the case for a lot of fans, too.
11:39Like, I kind of had my own idea about what they should do with Strider, and this is basically it.
11:44Yeah, definitely.
11:45I mean, that's a huge labor of love.
11:47It kind of combines the best things about past Strider games.
11:52There haven't been that many Strider games.
11:54There was the arcade game, and then there was the NES game, which was completely different.
11:58And then there was Strider 2, which was kind of just a remake of the original arcade game.
12:03But that first arcade game and the NES game, they both had very interesting elements.
12:10like the satisfying button-mashy arcade action of the one versus the more explorative character progression kind of thing going
12:21on in the NES game.
12:22This has all of that and more.
12:24So I really think it's poised to be the best Strider game we've ever had.
12:30Definitely if you've always wished for more Strider games, this is the one to check out.
12:36Yeah, definitely. I mean, it's the team at DH and their pitch, I mean, yeah, really looked at it.
12:41I mean, they're big fans of really every game in the series and really understood a lot of what made
12:47those games great
12:47and kind of wanted to do just this perfect blend of a lot of the aspects of all those games
12:52and really kind of do one big labor of love.
12:55So, I mean, yeah, they've done an amazing job, and I'm very excited to see what fans think of it.
13:01So for that little mini-boss there, that was the Brainwalker.
13:03It's one of Schlage's many creations.
13:06But yeah, that was sort of a mini-boss fight.
13:08We have a little Pneumatic 2 faction right here as well.
13:11Yes.
13:11Anyone who's a fan of the NES game might be pretty delighted right now.
13:18So this is the save room slash checkpoint.
13:22Hopefully build your health as well.
13:26So again, I'm just mashing.
13:27You batting them away.
13:28You batting them away.
13:29But if you time it right.
13:30I time it right.
13:31Nice.
13:32Someone's been practicing.
13:34Oh, stop it.
13:44Alright, so now we have a little platforming section.
13:46So these lasers are obviously hot and unpleasant.
13:52So we are going to make expert use of our catapult shot.
13:57So if you look in the upper left-hand corner, when I use the catapult shot, there's a little cooldown
14:03on there.
14:05So you can actually use it in theory throughout one long jump multiple times.
14:12You just have to have enough air time.
14:15Yeah, exactly.
14:16To let it cool down.
14:17Yeah, exactly.
14:17Yeah, that little ring in the left.
14:20Yeah.
14:20The blue ring.
14:24There he goes.
14:31Oh, god.
14:32Oh, god.
14:33Classic death animation there.
14:35Love it.
14:36Yeah, it's those little touches.
14:39Mm-hmm.
14:45How did you know the laser's hot?
14:47That's insider information from the devs, actually.
14:51That was in their notes.
14:52I just leaked that.
14:53Sorry.
14:54Alright, so again.
14:55More fun with lasers.
15:02Oh, god.
15:03Jameera belts.
15:08Oh, god.
15:09Oh, god.
15:14Oh, god.
15:15Oh, god.
15:16Oh, god.
15:17Oh, god.
15:24Oh, god.
15:25Oh, god.
15:26Oh, god.
15:26Oh, god.
15:26Oh, god.
15:27Oh, god.
15:28Oh, god.
15:28Oh, god.
15:29I'm off my game today.
15:30It's like you're trolling.
15:35Just trying to give a mix of like expert play.
15:37Yeah, yeah.
15:37Oh, god.
15:38It's a more real world experience.
15:45All right.
15:46Well, let's see.
15:46Yeah, you guys.
15:46Sì, c'è stato messo il death battle.
15:48C'è un video di Strider
15:51destroying
15:53Ninja Gaiden's ninja
15:54battle.
15:56It's a close call, it is.
15:58Strider's got the future edge.
16:01He's got all of the strengths
16:02of a normal ninja plus technology.
16:06All right, so right there as the screen
16:08changed color, if you look in the upper left hand corner
16:11there's a little red ring
16:12that fills up as you do
16:14damage to enemies and kill enemies.
16:16But don't take damage yourself
16:18Once that reaches maximum gauge
16:20your Strider, or your Cypher
16:22will double in length, it will do
16:23additional damage and kind of get a little burst
16:26of being super super powerful.
16:29And so for this little area, this is kind of like a gauntlet
16:32basically.
16:33From here we'll run through this
16:36section and then we'll
16:37kind of dive straight into the
16:40Mechapon boss fight.
16:57The sniper shots
16:58are generally pretty unpleasant.
17:01I can actually deploy out some of my bots
17:02here.
17:05your Panther bot
17:06is pretty effective.
17:07Enemies that don't use elemental shields
17:09and just use like a basic shield, normally
17:11you need to do like a charged attack
17:12where you hold down the X button
17:14and charge it up like you would
17:16like in Marvel.
17:20But your bots will actually
17:21generally take out enemy shields, so
17:24that's a good alternative
17:25if you're totally swarmed.
17:30Love it!
17:36So these guys are infected
17:38troopers, kind of them
17:40in a different section of the game.
17:43Sort of like a highlight reel
17:45of enemies.
17:47Yeah, they spit
17:49poisonous goo.
17:50Goodness gracious!
17:52Don't let these things in the lab!
18:00There's that.
18:01There's the thingy.
18:03Super powerful.
18:06It's kind of like in the original
18:08when you get the cyber power-up.
18:11Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
18:12Processing data.
18:13Yes, similar.
18:18Test program, execute.
18:23Well, you know, it's a different kind.
18:25You know, it's not a quarter muncher.
18:28Oh, sorry.
18:29Yeah, we just got a comment
18:30that the game looks too easy.
18:32You know, it's a different piece.
18:34Part of that is, I've played it a lot.
18:36That's also definitely true.
18:37If you read any of the recent coverage
18:41from press, I think
18:43plenty of people in the press
18:46had a pretty serious challenge.
18:50especially when we get to this mechophone fight
18:51where like, Tristan is pretty inspiring
18:54to watch because he's done this a lot.
18:56I have spent a lot of time with it.
18:58But yeah, I mean, it definitely, you know,
19:00from the team's perspective,
19:02it is a challenging game
19:04and they definitely wanted to kind of
19:06stay true to, you know,
19:09the original arcade feel
19:11where it's, you know,
19:12it's not a super, super easy platforming
19:14type game.
19:16but, you know, striking a balance too
19:18with modern sentiment, so...
19:19Yeah.
19:21I mean, if you go back and play
19:23Strider 1 in particular,
19:25I think its quarter munching roots
19:27will really come through
19:29when you realize that
19:30it may not be the most balanced difficulty.
19:34I think that's something
19:35that they're striving for this time, though.
19:37Yeah, I mean, it's tough, but fair.
19:55Estimate of how long the game will take?
19:57Uh, so it's looking around
19:59seven to eight hours
20:00if you just do the kind of
20:02golden path, like straight to
20:04because, you know,
20:06don't really do any side questing stuff.
20:07But given that this is, you know,
20:09the map is all one large interconnected world,
20:12you unlock different abilities
20:13and then you're able to backtrack and unlock,
20:15you know, stuff in different areas.
20:18There's definitely a lot more to see
20:19and do beyond just the core game,
20:21so it could easily go
20:22pretty well beyond that.
20:26Sweet. Alright.
20:27Let's just dive in.
20:30Here again, we see Schleg.
20:32I don't see my creations.
20:34I will not stand for this
20:36any longer.
20:40Behold
20:40my greatest creation.
20:44I don't know if I trust this guy.
20:46We'll smash your skull!
20:48I may not be altogether there.
20:52Oh.
20:53I must be asking about my shirt.
20:55It's another The Frames shirt.
20:56I have, like, one for every day to eat.
20:58Is that like I'm saying?
20:59It's a fan.
21:01Oh no, I mean like your shirts, is that it?
21:03No, I don't know, he just...
21:06I feel like it should be a fan.
21:07It's usually a Frames shirt.
21:09Or Nevik.
21:16So, I feel like if you guys go back and look at the original Strider Mechapon,
21:21I think you'll find that he was not quite as sophisticated back then as he is now.
21:24He's got a lot of attacks.
21:27This, I think, was the part that gave the press a serious run for the money.
21:30Yeah, we, I think, two press people out of like the twelve we saw.
21:36Oh god.
21:39They're just catapulting into the attacks.
21:42Yeah.
21:42So yeah, he is tricky.
21:45Not only does he do that jumping attack kind of at you,
21:49but he also, well he does this too.
21:53He has a variety of nasty tricks.
21:56And a lot of his stuff tends to be kind of an area effect thing.
21:59So each little bit of debris that he throws right there will shoot out some initial stuff.
22:06Which makes him...
22:09Uh, Spark Mandrill.
22:11Yuri is asking...
22:13By popular demand.
22:14The Spark Mandrill reference.
22:18Um...
22:19Yeah, it is kind of funny how common the robo-primate archetype has become.
22:25I think almost entirely thanks to Capcom.
22:29And Double Helix.
22:30On that one.
22:32Yeah, it seems like...
22:35VCR had it.
22:38Uh...
22:39Spark Mandrill.
22:42Need I remind you?
22:45Oh boy.
22:46So now that he's taken quite a bit of damage,
22:48each time he does his little jumping attack,
22:50it will actually go pretty much full screen.
22:52Some of the blue area.
22:54Which makes him rather difficult to deal with.
22:57But it looks like he's stunned, so...
23:01But I have very little life left.
23:03Oh, is that why we're getting...
23:05That's why we're getting a little bit of the red...
23:07Flackiness.
23:11Red Scanlan.
23:12It's right here dying.
23:16Alright, let's see...
23:16Let's see if I can pull this off.
23:20A little concern.
23:24Oh god.
23:27Wow, the new Donkey Kong game sure is edgy.
23:31That's my favorite Kong game so far.
23:33And we did it.
23:33Yes!
23:34Yes.
23:35Love it.
23:37You?
23:38You?
23:39Are we allowed to watch this?
23:40Uh, yeah, it's fine.
23:41We should have depressed.
23:41Who are you to defy my power?
23:46You've accepted my facility.
23:49Feed me my credentials.
23:52It sucks.
23:54You should be honest with me.
23:56So here we have the Grand Master making an appearance.
24:01Oh!
24:02You just lambathe that guy.
24:04Time to die.
24:04He does not tolerate failure.
24:08What's he gonna do to this thing?
24:11Blast away.
24:13Like the rest of the imperfections.
24:15Wow.
24:17And there we have it.
24:18That was pretty cool.
24:19Alright, now you can cut away.
24:20Alright, so yeah, I guess we'll wrap it up here, guys.
24:23This is Strider, the new Strider game.
24:25Thank you for tuning in.
24:26It will be released, uh...
24:28We don't have a date yet, but...
24:31for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
24:37Yep.
24:37And that's $14.99 for all platforms.
24:40Correct.
24:41So...
24:41Get hype!
24:43And thanks for tuning in, guys.
24:44Thanks, guys.
24:45See ya.
