Trascrizione
00:14All right, we are joined by Kudo Sonoda from Microsoft Studios
00:17to talk about what's next for HoloLens to Windows 10.
00:22Kudo, welcome.
00:24Hey, it's a great crowd here.
00:25Now, I've got to tell you, so people are looking at us and going,
00:27Kudo, what do you have in your hands?
00:29Yeah, this is it.
00:30This is Microsoft HoloLens.
00:32We brought them down here to E3, let people at the show,
00:35check out holograms for themselves.
00:37Now, this is so hot here at E3.
00:40Everybody wants to get their hands on it.
00:42That's a security guard.
00:43Not kudos.
00:44It's HoloLens' security guard.
00:47Tell us about the work that Microsoft has been doing in virtual reality
00:50with, for instance, Steam, VR, Oculus, and, of course, HoloLens.
00:53Yeah, so it's two things we announced, you know,
00:55partnership with Valve and our partnership with Oculus.
00:57Oculus, it's all about shipping one of our gaming controllers,
01:01our Xbox One controllers, every Oculus Rift that ships at launch.
01:04And then you're also going to be able to stream your Xbox One games
01:07to Oculus Rift and play them there.
01:08So that's awesome.
01:09And then stuff we're doing with Valve, you know, really,
01:12we just started.
01:12It's the first stages of our partnership,
01:14really looking at maybe getting some standardization across VR APIs.
01:18Yes, I love that.
01:19Now, I've got to tell you, about a week ago,
01:21I think I tweeted out or posted on Reddit
01:23that I had a holy moment during our briefing
01:26because I was going through the rehearsals
01:27and everyone asked me, which one was it?
01:29Was it back and back?
01:30That was one.
01:31But the Minecraft demo.
01:32Right, guys?
01:34That was unbelievable.
01:36How else do you see gamers and games
01:39using the HoloLens in the future?
01:41Yeah, I think what we're really trying to do
01:43is holograms allow you to bring, you know,
01:45your real-world environment into the gameplay.
01:47You saw with that Minecraft demo
01:49how you could view your Minecraft worlds right on your table.
01:51Look at this.
01:52That looks unbelievable.
01:53It's unbelievable.
01:54And then we're going to be able to start incorporating,
01:55you know, your real-world environment
01:57in its gameplay level.
01:59So everybody will get, you know,
02:00a very unique experience based on where you play.
02:02Games will change based on whether it's in your living room
02:04or you're playing in your kitchen.
02:05And we've even got, you know, character-driven games,
02:08story-driven games,
02:09where the characters are right there in your living room,
02:11walking around your house,
02:12sitting down on your sofa,
02:13interacting with you,
02:14and just seeing the narratives play out in your own home.
02:16that really makes the gameplay exciting.
02:18Now, outside of gaming,
02:19yeah, they love that.
02:20Outside of gaming, I mean,
02:21there's a ton of applications for HoloLens, right?
02:24Yeah, so, I mean,
02:24it is a fully untethered, you know, holographic computer.
02:27So lots of things you can do with it.
02:29New ways to communicate,
02:30new ways to learn,
02:31new ways to be productive.
02:33You know, even unlocking people's creativity
02:34and allowing them to sculpt in 3D.
02:36But the thing we're most excited about, of course,
02:38here at E3,
02:39talking about the games,
02:40the entertainment,
02:41making sure gamers are having fun with holograms.
02:42You guys having fun?
02:43Yeah!
02:44Yeah, we have this amazing demo
02:46that you kind of,
02:48of HoloLens you see
02:49before you go into Halo.
02:50And you guys saw the Halo one, right?
02:51Yeah!
02:52It's mind-blowing.
02:53Anyway, listen,
02:54I got a question for you.
02:55Thank you.
02:55We love you, too.
02:56We've received more feedback
02:58about Xbox and backward compatibility,
03:00of course,
03:01that we've worked on.
03:02What game are you excited about?
03:03Because you worked on a lot of games
03:04for Xbox 360.
03:05What game are you excited about?
03:05Yeah, you know,
03:06I love to see Bayonetta come to Xbox One.
03:08Love Platinum games.
03:10and then I think Red Dead Redemption,
03:12that would be an awesome one
03:12to have on Xbox One,
03:14playable through back and pad as well.
03:15I love Red Dead.
03:16Oh, my God.
03:17Now, Windows 10,
03:18the Windows 10 launch
03:19is right around the corner.
03:20What do you want fans to know
03:22about how Windows 10 fits with gaming?
03:25Yeah, so I think you can see,
03:26you know,
03:26great products that we have coming soon,
03:28like Fable Legends
03:29that's shipping both on Xbox One
03:31and Windows 10 PCs.
03:33First of all, I mean,
03:34you can play,
03:34whether you're on Xbox One
03:35or Windows 10 PC,
03:36you can play with people
03:37on the other platform.
03:38And I just think that's huge.
03:39For too long,
03:40PC gamers,
03:41console gamers
03:41have been separated.
03:42Now we're going to let you play
03:43on whatever platform you want
03:45against or with people
03:46on the other platform,
03:47which I think is fabulous.
03:48And then also being able
03:49to just go from
03:50playing on your console at home
03:51to playing the same game
03:53on a Windows 10 PC
03:54with everything you've earned
03:55or bought in that game
03:56just seamlessly moving over.
03:57It really gives gamers
03:58a lot of choice
03:58who they want to play with
04:00and on what platform
04:00they want to play.
04:01And really looking forward to that.
04:02All right, hold up.
04:03What are you wearing here
04:03for your shirt?
04:04What is this?
04:04Yeah, of course.
04:05This is a press play t-shirt.
04:07Love the games they make.
04:08Max, Tentacles.
04:09Yep.
04:10Palimba, awesome game.
04:11Hold up HoloLens
04:12in front of that.
04:12There you go.
04:12There we go.
04:14All right, we've got to get going here.
04:15Kudo, thank you for coming by.
04:16Thanks a lot.
04:17Thanks, my friend.
04:18All right, look,
04:18he's having fun with it.
04:19No, he's not throwing it out there.
