00:30This is the throwdown that you've all been waiting for, 2K vs. Turtle Rock.
00:34This is a potentially three-stage event.
00:37Stage one will be 2K on the Hunters vs. Turtle Rock's monster, the Gentleman's Squirrel.
00:44And with me on the show today, the guest star of the show, bringing that casting and that analysis,
00:51the man with the hat, the coach with the mostest, Coachieri.
00:57D.B., good to be here.
00:59Good to have you on the stream, Coachieri.
01:01Thank you.
01:01I know that everybody out there has been wanting you to get up here on the stream and talk about
01:05Evolve,
01:06and I'm happy to have you here today.
01:08It's always a pleasure to be here with you.
01:10That said, I just wanted to let everybody out there on the stream know that our friend Jay Party is
01:16no longer working at 2K.
01:18With that said, though, the show must go on.
01:21And also with that said, we do wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavors.
01:26But we're going to carry on and jump right into the game here.
01:29This is going to be a game of hunt.
01:31The format for this throwdown of throwdowns is a four-game series.
01:38We start with, as I mentioned before, 2K on the Hunters with Turtle Rock on the Monster.
01:43Potentially one of these sides can win four games here, Coach.
01:49So what happens then is once we go ahead and do our follow-up stream with Turtle Rock on the
01:56Hunters and 2K on the Monster,
01:58what you're going to see then is another four-game series where the team that doesn't come out on top
02:03today has an opportunity to balance that back out.
02:05And if we are eventually tied at four games apiece following that second live stream, we're going to go to
02:12a best-of-three showdown.
02:15Exactly. I'm really excited to be. I think it's going to be quite a throwdown between two really good teams.
02:21Obviously, between 2K and TRS, you've got the guys who've been playing this game the longest and the strongest for
02:28a long time.
02:29Yeah, I agree. And that's what the people want, and that's what hopefully we're going to deliver to them today.
02:34They've been asking for the 2K Turtle Rock Studio showdown.
02:38And I think part of that has to do with us getting on here and being able to talk about
02:42the game and play the game at a pretty high level,
02:44but also talking up our A-teams as well and talking about how these guys play the game on a
02:48regular basis.
02:50And I'm not keen to the Turtle Rock strategies coming into this tournament.
02:55The beauty of it is that it's on their side.
02:57And we're going to see two different strategies coming at each other head-to-head, face-to-face.
03:01For what is not the first time, though, Coach Boach, there is a running history of battles between 2K and
03:08Turtle Rock Studios.
03:09And I want to talk to you about the first one and get your take on that first one we
03:14did.
03:14The first time we ever showed Evolve Off on U.S. soil was at the Dogpatch in San Francisco.
03:21And our 2KA team at that time took on the legend, Chris Ashton, in what was a pretty exciting match.
03:28So take the viewers through that match here as the Hunters drop in on the dropship.
03:33Well, the Hunters that you have here was actually pretty much, almost to a man, I believe,
03:38that same team that fell to Chris Ashton, the creative director of Turtle Rock Studios,
03:43the very first time that we showed off Team A and Goliath.
03:49Chris did a very good job of using stealth to his advantage and took out our team by surprise rather
03:57quickly.
03:57It was a harrowing match.
03:59I think our guys have learned a lot since then.
04:01But at the same time, you know, I think for myself, for UDB, and for all of our Twitch watchers,
04:11I think that the thing that we're looking for the most here is just a really good match.
04:14That's right, Coach.
04:16And the thing about that, though, is we've actually had some more opportunities
04:20to play Turtle Rock Studios at their own game, if you will.
04:23And the last one, though, the reigning champs, if you will, is actually 2K.
04:29And that is based on a throwdown we had at PAX Prime with Brill from Turtle Rock Studios on the
04:36Monster
04:36and our Hunter A team from 2K.
04:38They threw down, and the 2K Hunter A team came out on top.
04:42That's right.
04:43In that matchup, I think it was a close match.
04:47Brill, like, you know, definitely was at somewhat of a disadvantage compared to his normal playstyle.
04:54He was using controller when normally he's a mouse and keyboard kind of guy.
04:57Ah, good point.
04:58So I do think that, you know, the cards were sacked against him in that case.
05:04But here we've got people playing to their strengths, so let's see how they do.
05:09Yeah, so you mentioned mouse and keyboard versus controller, Coach.
05:12At Turtle Rock, there are primarily, from what I've seen, mouse and keyboard.
05:16You're seeing a mouse and keyboard monster here.
05:17But you're seeing hunters on controllers right now.
05:20Look at that beam team doing such a great job of keeping that assault in the fight
05:25and up in the Kraken's face.
05:26So what we're seeing here from Turtle Rock, from the Gentleman Squirrel, is a Kraken.
05:31And what we're seeing from our Hunter squad here at 2K is Maggie and Daisy on Trapper.
05:36We've got Markov on assault, Val and Hank on medic in support.
05:40I think that Val was the right choice to bring against Kraken.
05:43You know, she's got her trank gun going for her there.
05:46That's critical to keep Kraken low into the ground in the middle of those arena fights.
05:50and I think that Ben, the whole shoe on Val for 2K is one of our best.
05:58Yeah, aspiring medics out there, take note and take watch here at the whole shoe.
06:02That's Ben, as Coach Boach mentioned, on the medic.
06:06He is a fiend with that trank gun.
06:08He's very good.
06:09I think that he shows that an adept controller player can give a mouse and keyboard player a run for
06:15their money anytime.
06:16Indeed, indeed.
06:17You're seeing some damage, and it looks like they took the armor down fully,
06:22but not a lot of health damage to the monster so far.
06:25We're seeing the Trapper here pursue the footprints.
06:28It's a very rainy day here at the fusion plant.
06:32So the rest of the way that this format of this throwdown is structured
06:37is that I mentioned before, this is a four-game series
06:41with either team potentially taking four wins out of this.
06:44This time we have 2K on the hunters with Turtle Rock on the monster.
06:48We also have some special rules in the rule set.
06:50We have no perks at the beginning, no mastery of perks,
06:54and no elite wildlife perks here in this game mode.
06:57But what you are seeing, though, is that the weather in the planet Shear
07:01does not necessarily cooperate with your wishes all the time.
07:05Absolutely.
07:05But here we see that our Trapper, Scott, has been able to contain them pretty much right out of the
07:11coutume there,
07:12although he was able to get a whole bunch of armor
07:17in those few precious moments between staging up in this next arena fight.
07:22Yeah, that was nice.
07:23I'm assuming what he did there was potentially kill some wildlife
07:26before he went and evolved, and then he had those basically free meats
07:30sitting there waiting for him once he was at Stage 2.
07:33You've got a lot of Marshriders, and you've got some of the Reavers there
07:35in that canyon area on the side of the plant.
07:41Clutch healing and shielding on the...
07:43Oh, oh no.
07:45Yikes.
07:46That's the Medic down.
07:50The Medic was trying to get around to Assault and keep Assault back up.
07:53There goes Assault down.
07:54That's two down.
07:56Support, you see the Cloak is on cooldown.
07:59He already used that earlier trying to get away from the Kraken.
08:01and what they wanted to do there, Coach Boach, early on is take that Crowbill
08:05sloth out of the action.
08:06Absolutely.
08:07That Crowbill was deadly.
08:09And then here at the end, you've got Support trying to do the revives.
08:12A couple of key hits from the Krakens, keeping him off the Medic,
08:17and that's really detrimental.
08:19You've got Daisy coming in there.
08:20It might get a revive in.
08:23That looks good.
08:23We've got Daisy came in, got some guys up behind, but now Support's down.
08:27Yeah, a couple strikes on the team here.
08:29Support gets sneak pounced.
08:31Support is down.
08:32Daisy's down as well.
08:33He can play very aggressive right now with practically full health
08:36and strikes on at least three of them.
08:39In here, Markov's pounced as well.
08:41Markov already has one strike.
08:42He's trying to do some damage here.
08:44Right now, Coach, as the Assault, you really...
08:47Yeah.
08:47Take a look there.
08:48Trapper's still dealing with a pack of trap jaws.
08:52Yeah, so Trapper getting pushed back off of the fight as Assault hanging in there,
08:56barely, by the skin of his teeth, just trying to do damage.
08:59Did a little bit of damage there, popped the shield at the right time.
09:02But who knows?
09:02You can see a sneaky monster pick one of these guys off right now.
09:05They are pretty spread out.
09:06Right here at the start of Stage 2, I mean, effectively,
09:11if the Hunters go down here, this is pretty much a wildlife wave.
09:15Yeah, absolutely.
09:16When you find yourself in that mobile arena
09:18and you find yourself in potentially what is a bad dome, as we like to say,
09:22and meaning a bad dome, meaning you don't have your height advantage that you need
09:25or you're stuck in there with some aggressive wildlife,
09:28you want to take care of that wildlife first and then focus on the monster.
09:31Otherwise, it's going to be a quick victory for the monster and for the wildlife,
09:35as you saw there.
09:36And what I love most about this, Coach Boach, about putting this throwdown together,
09:42is that these two sides came out like boxers in a boxing match.
09:46I consider that round one of a four-round match right now, right?
09:49And that's what I'm enjoying about the structure that we put together so far
09:54is that they're not going to go three and out and then be done.
09:59They have a potential of picking off a round like a boxer.
10:02It gets that late round, points against him,
10:04and has a potential to do some damage in the later rounds,
10:07which is going to be our Stage 2, if you will, of this throwdown.
10:11So, as I mentioned, comparing it to a boxing match,
10:15they were really feeling each other out right there
10:17and trying to figure out what kind of game they're going to play.
10:21And as you saw from the monster, once he had the advantage with that wildlife
10:25helping him on his side and the hunters not dealing with it right away
10:28and taking some early strikes, even though he had no armor,
10:30he had practically full health, he was able to be very aggressive with the hunters.
10:34Yeah, I think that they were very aggressive coming at the monster
10:37out of that Stage 2 fight.
10:39Unfortunately, like you said, bad dome.
10:41With the wildlife in play there, pretty much these guys took it on the chin
10:45and they took it hard.
10:46Yeah, and that's going to happen, especially when you're a hunter team
10:50wanting to size up your monster opponent.
10:53You really need to bring it to them.
10:55Chasing them and not fighting them at the earlier stages,
11:00you're going to have no idea what kind of fight they're going to be bringing you later on.
11:03So I think it's not necessarily as bad of a loss as it looked like
11:08because I'm assuming from these guys, I know them all pretty well,
11:12they're going to learn a lot from that fight
11:13and they're going to bring what they learned into this next one here.
11:16Absolutely, absolutely.
11:17Like a boxing match, ultimately, if you can get that one final knockout blow,
11:22the match is yours.
11:23It always comes down to the wire.
11:24That's the thing I love the most about working on Evolve, playing Evolve.
11:28It's not over until it's over.
11:30Absolutely, and also what you're going to see too is potentially some character changes,
11:34which is another beautiful thing of Evolve,
11:37is that they lost with that particular lineup that they had
11:40and that might have been they're like,
11:42hey, let's see what he does against this lineup and see if this works.
11:46Okay, no, it didn't.
11:47What do we need to change?
11:48And it looks like there's going to be some changes already
11:50as it looks like Assault is going to change and switch it up to Hide.
11:54So you're going to see some of that flamethrower damage,
11:56potentially some toxic grenades in that minigun.
11:59And it looks like they're going to be going against the Wraith, Coach Boach.
12:02I'm ready to buckle in and check out game two.
12:05Well, you know I like the Wraith there.
12:06I know you do.
12:07Yes.
12:07I know you do.
12:08Lots of Wraith fans out there as well.

12:25Gentleman Squirrel rolling with a full level 40 profile here
12:30while our guys here are rolling with fresh level 1 profiles.
12:35There's no discount to them, though,
12:38because we did turn off the perks.
12:40We did turn off mastery.
12:41So it's really coming down to characters versus characters.
12:44Exactly.
12:44This is an even playing field.
12:46Yeah, even playing field.
12:47And so because Nick switched from Markov to Hyde,
12:51he got that intro video.
12:52So when you play those characters for the first time
12:54and you're checking them out,
12:56say you've been playing Markov early on
12:58and you unlock Hyde for the first time,
13:00you're going to get to see that cool video.

13:45is being able to share what we've learned
13:47and hopefully pass it on
13:48and make some pretty good hunters and monsters out there.

14:40All right.
14:40So, so far, so good for the hunters
14:42not falling victim to much of the wildlife yet, Coach Boach.
14:48The medic keeping the team healed up there.
14:51That's one thing to point out
14:53as a very important part of gameplay in Evolve
14:55is that this is a resourceless game.
14:59You don't have mana that you're relying on.
15:01and you're just relying on cooldowns.
15:02And obviously, some of these abilities
15:05you want to save for the perfect moment,
15:07especially those class abilities
15:08because they do tend to have a long cooldown.
15:10But that said, if you are the medic
15:12and your team is low on health,
15:13you should constantly be popping that heal burst
15:16to top your teammates off and yourself.
15:19Absolutely.
15:19And I do think that given what happened last round,
15:24you're going to see that this team
15:25is going to be playing even more conservatively.
15:27So you're going to see the medic, in this case,
15:29making sure that their team is topped up
15:31at all times during the game.
15:34Now, my concern, though, is that against the wraith,
15:37a lot of times you really want to come out
15:39swinging against wraith,
15:41try to find them early, get them trapped early.
15:42and oftentimes, in order to do that,
15:45you need to be running and gunning
15:46as fast as possible, healthy damn.
15:48And I think that they've really come into
15:52a bit of a pickle here
15:53in that their instinct is to be conservative
15:57based on the previous loss,
15:59but the reality against wraith
16:00is sometimes you don't want to do that.
16:03Brilliant. Brilliant analysis, Coach Boach.
16:06Thank you.
16:06I'm stoked to have you here.
16:07I know the kids are as well.
16:10Man, and speaking of being damned, Coach Boach,
16:13here we are at the dam.
16:15The dam is one of my favorite maps
16:17in that it offers that unique sight line
16:20down the river.
16:21Yep.
16:22You know, what we've seen in a lot of advanced play
16:24is that the trapper will kind of
16:27hug the center line of the map,
16:30waiting for the rest of the hunting team
16:32to coax the monster out into that
16:34kind of central river area
16:36and then trap the map.
16:38switching to jails.
16:39And that's what they're,
16:40it looks like they're trying to do here
16:42as the trapper is indeed
16:44going up and down that river area,
16:45like you mentioned.
16:46The rest of the team, though,
16:47should probably try and split up at this point.
16:49That's a good way to catch the wraith
16:51is to use that pincer maneuver.
16:54Oh, a nice abduction on Assault.
16:56Nicely done there.
16:58Assault gets dropped down into the pool of water
17:00and struggles to get back up.
17:01It looks like they got the dome.
17:02This could be a tough dome, Coach,
17:05as the hide advantage here might be in favor of the wraith.
17:08Yeah, no, absolutely not good.
17:09You had your support caught out there at the top.
17:12Everybody else is down.
17:15Yep, and a tough toxic grenade as well,
17:18slowing the team down.
17:19It's giving them a hard time
17:21to basically get in there
17:24and recover from this.
17:26Support skill down.
17:28Daisy gets him up finally,
17:29so you can feel the strike on support.
17:30The rest of the team headed in there, Coach.
17:33Oh, a nice barrage.
17:34Pretty good barrage there.
17:35All of the armor down,
17:36finally working on the health.
17:37So nicely done.
17:38Nice recovery by the hunter team.
17:42I can see me fucking guts.
17:45This is where you can hear
17:49in the chatter behind me
17:51you can hear the conflict.
17:52You've got pretty much half the team saying
17:55let's hang back, get healed,
17:59let's get ourselves back to full health
18:01and then go back in there.
18:02That said, everyone knows
18:04that the longer the match goes on,
18:07the stronger the love will come.
18:08So if you're not getting those early hits
18:10and you're not whittling that health down over time,
18:12stage three against the wraith
18:13is going to be really challenging.
18:14Yeah, Salt trying to rush in
18:16and do some permanent damage
18:17which is the ideal goal
18:19of being a hunter
18:20is getting that forward progress,
18:22doing that permanent damage
18:23but not at the risk
18:24of getting those down penalties
18:27and getting separated from your team
18:28and being an easy target
18:29which is what they were trying
18:30to communicate to him there.
18:32Hold up, let's get the team
18:33topped off with health
18:34and then push.
18:36And you're doing that
18:37at the risk-reward
18:38of the monster potentially farming
18:40and getting that armor up.
18:42So it's a tough decision
18:43that you have to make
18:44as a hunter in that position.
18:45Exactly.
18:45And they're taking into account
18:46the fact that they've got abduction
18:49that Brandon's taking abduction
18:50into the fight here
18:51and they know that abduction
18:54strategically gives him an opportunity
18:56if he can get a good
18:57key abduction off
18:58to take one of them
18:59and bring them back
19:01pretty far from the rest of the group.
19:02and if that person
19:03isn't at full health
19:04the amount of time
19:05to go get to that person
19:07and get Wraith off of them
19:10is not going to be enough
19:11and they are going to get
19:12another down penalty.
19:13Every down penalty
19:14that they get
19:15before stage three
19:16is going to make that stage three fight
19:17that much harder.
19:18Indeed.
19:19And this is coming from
19:20the guy who pulled off
19:21the abduction of all abductions
19:23which was pretty famous
19:25on the internet for a while
19:26Coach Boach.
19:27So congratulations on that.
19:28Showing the kids
19:29how to pull off
19:30a legendary abduction.

19:34of abduction up his sleeve?
19:35I know that Brandon
19:37is definitely
19:38the premier monster player
19:39at Turtle Rock Studios.
19:41I think that anything
19:42that anyone here at TK
19:44has learned about
19:45best practices
19:48in playing monster
19:49we've obviously taken
19:50a page or two
19:51out of the Turtle Rock playbook
19:53so Brandon's been
19:54a key writer.
19:56Absolutely.
19:57Absolutely.
19:57and a key supporter
19:59of the content
20:01that's being out there now
20:02with streaming the game
20:03and playing with the guys
20:05that are out there now
20:06with Preview Code
20:07and really dropping knowledge
20:08on those guys
20:09and trying to get them
20:11to up their game
20:12to the next level
20:13which is awesome.
20:14And not only that content
20:15but also the content
20:16of the game itself.
20:17These are Brandon's babies.
20:19Brandon is one of the
20:21core team
20:22of monster designers
20:25and so when he keeps
20:27on playing as Brandon
20:28playing as Pac
20:29he keeps on
20:30these are characters
20:31right out of the
20:33Ray in Turtle Rock
20:34and Brandon's
20:35really a key person
20:36in that
20:36as a character modeler
20:38and designer.
20:39Right.
20:39So essentially
20:40Coach Boach
20:40he's got another
20:41level of aggression
20:43here
20:43is that
20:44our hunter team
20:45is attacking
20:45his creations
20:46as babies.
20:47That's right.
20:48That's right.
20:48And he wants to
20:49protect other babies
20:49at all costs.
20:51Nice.
20:51Speaking of perks
20:53earlier we mentioned
20:54that we have outlawed
20:57or banned
20:58if you will
20:59perks and mastery
21:01in this
21:02but we were having
21:03lunch earlier
21:03at Coach Boach
21:04and we realized
21:06that not all perks
21:07were banned.
21:08Your faster feeding perk
21:09is something that
21:10you apparently
21:11grew up with
21:12and now have
21:14permanently
21:14in your adulthood.
21:15That's right DB.
21:18Amazing.
21:19I've been told
21:20that I'm a very fast eater
21:21and I attribute it
21:23almost fully
21:24to my love
21:25of another great
21:262K franchise
21:27Civilization.
21:28I was a Civ addict
21:30growing up
21:30and my one more turn
21:32would take me away
21:35from the dinner table
21:36but my parents
21:38were pretty strict
21:39they said that
21:40I couldn't leave
21:41until I finished
21:42my plate
21:42so I would
21:43just scramble
21:44to eat as quickly
21:45as possible
21:45so I could get
21:46that next turn
21:46in on Civ.
21:47Nice.
21:49and nicely done
21:50by the hunters here
21:50you see those
21:51harpoons Coach
21:52they had the wraith
21:52locked down
21:53dropped a good barrage
21:54brought his armor down
21:55but they still
21:56need to do more damage
21:58trying to do it there
21:59as Hyde
21:59with the flamethrower
22:00so far so good
22:02in this fight
22:02this is a good fight
22:03for the hunters
22:04absolutely
22:04doesn't look like
22:05a lot of dangerous
22:05wildlife though
22:06and Medic goes down
22:09whenever Medic's down
22:09you've got a serious
22:11detriment to the health
22:13and well-being
22:14of the hunting party
22:15the Medic is up though
22:16Trapper down
22:17down comes the mobile arena
22:18but look
22:19they have the wraith
22:19to half health
22:21nicely done there
22:22a lot of good damage
22:23on the wraith
22:23a lot of good permanent damage
22:24you do see
22:25support on two strikes
22:27Trapper on a strike
22:28and Medic on a strike
22:29that support
22:30in this team
22:31being on two strikes
22:32could be very deadly
22:35at stage 3
22:37that orbital
22:38is going to be key
22:39to finishing the wraith
22:41off in stage 3
22:43and if the wraith
22:44can get
22:44an early abduction
22:46at the start
22:47of the final stage 3 fight
22:48and get support
22:50oh there he goes
22:50Ghost tries to get him
22:51did he get it?
22:52yep
22:52he did get him
22:53that's exactly the problem
22:54right there
22:54that's what they want to do
22:55that's what he wants to do
22:56and down goes support
22:57and down goes support
22:58now if they had brought
22:59Lazarus into the fight

23:01but with Val
23:03he's out for
23:04one minute

23:42the medic

30:01it really focuses
30:02on the skill
30:03of the players
30:04for each of the
30:06characters

30:07I really enjoy

30:10in the mix

30:11because
30:12the elite wildlife
30:14can often
30:14give a team
30:15that also has
30:16a strong
30:17understanding
30:18of map
30:19configuration
30:19and the location
30:20of possible elites
30:21an advantage
30:22and it also
30:24provides a second
30:25level of strategy
30:25that I really
30:26find enjoyable
30:27absolutely

30:28a hard time
30:29paying attention
30:30to your analysis
30:31there
30:32because
30:33I'm playing
30:34Evolve Hunter's
30:34Quest

30:40but this is a
30:41match 3 game
30:41where you can
30:42take to the
30:43planet share
30:44take the hunters
30:45against some
30:46wildlife
30:46and some monsters
30:47and actually
30:47earn mastery
30:48that's going to
30:49go towards
30:49your real
30:50game of Evolve
30:50on the consoles
30:52and the PC
30:53so forgive me

30:57a reaver
30:58and what looks
30:59like a venom hound

31:28it also allows
31:30you the opportunity
31:31to learn

31:33make sure you
31:34use your medic
31:34to keep your
31:35guys healed
31:35match those
31:36medic tiles
31:36right because
31:37just like in
31:38the game of
31:39Evolve
31:39where we've
31:41talked about
31:41combos
31:42the OG
31:43combo
31:43being the
31:44poon
31:44trank
31:44dome
31:45the harpoon
31:46the mobile
31:47arena
31:47and
31:48Val's
31:48trank
31:50combos
31:50are possible
31:51in Evolve
31:52Hunter's
31:52quest as well
31:53and that's
31:54what you're
31:54getting at
31:54there
31:54so if you
31:56see one
31:56of your
31:56teammates
31:57one of your
31:58hunter teammates
31:58about to be
31:59targeted by
31:59one of the
32:00wildlife
32:00you can set
32:01harpoon traps
32:02to go off
32:02and affect
32:04that wildlife
32:05that's trying
32:05to attack
32:05your teammate
32:06also
32:07based on
32:08those other
32:08abilities that
32:09the hunters
32:09have
32:10you can set
32:10those up
32:11in a
32:11chain
32:11which will
32:12do massive
32:13damage to
32:13what you're
32:14facing
32:14absolutely
32:14we really
32:15wanted to
32:15try to
32:16take the
32:16spirit
32:16of what
32:17is awesome
32:17about Evolve
32:18on the
32:19consoles and
32:20on PC
32:20and bring
32:21that same
32:22awesomeness

32:24completely

32:24game style
32:25but something
32:25that we
32:26find really
32:27enjoyable

33:40highlighted
33:41and it's going
33:42to be very easy
33:43for the hunters
33:44to stay on his
33:44tail
33:45for the remainder
33:46of the fight

33:48but tough breaks
33:50already early on
33:51for the hunters
33:52as support goes
33:53down
33:53it's a strike on
33:54support early on
33:56very early on
33:59yeah so they're
34:00a little bit
34:00spread out
34:00this might not
34:01be an ideal
34:01dome coach
34:02not based on
34:04wildlife
34:04but based on
34:05the surroundings
34:05there's a lot
34:07of ground
34:07for the hunters
34:08to try and
34:09cover here
34:09and there's also
34:10what appears
34:11to be a pit
34:11of acid
34:12or pool
34:13of acid
34:13down below
34:15yes this map
34:16features an
34:17acid environment
34:18and it features
34:19these pools
34:20that are detrimental
34:21with the hunters
34:21I really feel
34:22like the hunter
34:23team did not
34:23coordinate
34:25and weren't
34:26ready for this
34:27dome
34:27no not at all
34:29and that's
34:29actually something
34:30I've been discussing
34:31with Brandon
34:31in casual
34:32conversation
34:33regarding the game
34:34when we've been
34:35streaming
34:35and playing the game
34:36and with also
34:38some of the
34:38twitch partners
34:40and oh wow
34:43wow
34:44one of the things
34:45we were discussing
34:48is at some point
34:49coach
34:50there's going to be
34:51some people
34:51that are so
34:53phenomenal
34:53with the meta
34:54of the mobile arena
34:55that they're going
34:56to know every single
34:57spot on the map
34:58where or where not
34:59to throw that mobile
35:00arena
35:00I'm really excited
35:02and they're going
35:02to make choices
35:03and they're going
35:03to say listen
35:04if I don't have
35:05two or three
35:06of my party members
35:07with me
35:07at this time
35:08this is not
35:09an ideal spot
35:10to do it
35:10meanwhile
35:11in another location
35:12in the map
35:13they might wait
35:13until
35:14they might catch
35:15the monster out
35:15they might choose
35:16to shoot
35:16to throw that dome
35:17because they know
35:18that in that area
35:18there's enough
35:19hiding spaces
35:21areas where
35:22an able trapper
35:23playing as Maggie
35:24can set harpoon traps
35:26and then kind of
35:27wind their way
35:28through a cave system
35:29and keep the monster
35:30at bay
35:31while the team
35:31members catch up
35:32yeah you want
35:32to be able
35:33to dictate the fight
35:34and they weren't
35:34able to do that
35:35there
35:35that fight
35:36was all in the monster's hands
35:37that was all Brandon
35:37yeah and so
35:39at some point
35:40it's going to come
35:41to where your trapper
35:43is literally going to say
35:44oh I've thrown a trap
35:45here before guys
35:46it's not
35:46it's not an ideal spot
35:47let's push forward
35:49let's maybe cloak
35:50with the supports
35:51group cloak
35:52sneak in on the monster
35:53and trap him
35:54in a more advantageous spot
35:55absolutely
35:56I'm excited for that stuff

43:41and keeps his armor up
43:42these hunters
43:43are doing a pretty good
43:44job of whittling
43:45down the armor
43:46but they can't
43:46seem to get past
43:47that last tick
43:48of armor
43:49and start
43:49doing permanent
43:50damage to the health
43:51yeah it's tough
43:52there are
43:53definitely chasing
43:54at this point
43:56chasing while
43:57on their heels
43:57an interesting
43:58place to be
43:59I do like
44:01Nick's work
44:02of using the
44:03jetpack to
44:03navigate those
44:04pods
44:05there
44:06always like to
44:07see when
44:07Hunter
44:08expertly
44:09navigates
44:10the environment
44:10with good use
44:12of the jetpack
44:13alright so
44:14Trapper seems to
44:15be a lot closer
44:16to Kraken
44:17at this point
44:18he's going to
44:19try to get a dome
44:19and he's got a dome
44:20in but again
44:21if they can't
44:22keep Trapper alive
44:24then the dome
44:25is going to go down
44:26and Kraken
44:27is going to be
44:27on the loose again
44:28and Trapper is back
44:29now and there
44:30goes that
44:30and with no Hank
44:32that's the price
44:34you pay
44:34in that
44:35it looks like
44:39they can get him
44:40up
44:41cloak
44:42some more
44:43but we have
44:44the monster
44:44right now
44:51and we've got
44:52another wildlife
44:53situation going
44:54on here
44:54we've got that
44:54nomad in the mix
44:55and the nomad
44:56is definitely
44:57giving the hunters
44:58some grief here
44:59once again
44:59choice of dome
45:01location
45:01not taking into
45:02account the location
45:03of the wildlife
45:05before really
45:05popping that dome
45:06and when you're
45:07playing against
45:07a very advanced
45:09monster like this
45:10he's going to use
45:11every advantage
45:12that he can
45:13to bring the
45:14fight back
45:15to the hunters
45:15because he knows
45:16that in any
45:17given matchup
45:18the fight is
45:19as much his
45:20to win
45:21as it is
45:21the hunters
45:22yeah indeed
45:23right now
45:24it's definitely
45:25in his grasp
45:28as they are
45:29just starting
45:30to whittle away
45:31at his health
45:32so I'm
45:33interested to see
45:34how the long
45:35game is going to
45:36go here
45:36in this match
45:37because even
45:38though they've
45:39had a hard time
45:39doing damage
45:40to his health
45:40so far
45:41only one hunter
45:41oh actually
45:42support's out
45:43so
45:45trapper's out
45:46these guys
45:47have to be
45:47all switcheroo
45:48on us
45:48coach
45:49so
45:50a little confusing

50:16that I was wondering

50:19the hunter team
50:20didn't decide
50:20to bring Lazarus
50:21into the mix
50:22I thought that
50:23given the fact
50:23that strikes
50:24were coming
50:25easy and often
50:25from Brandon
50:27that maybe
50:28by countering
50:28with Lazarus
50:29who would be able
50:30to get a full revive
50:31with full health
50:32back
50:33the team might
50:33have seen
50:34a little bit
50:35of a game change
50:35sure
50:36I mean we did
50:36that's a tough
50:37decision to make
50:38right
50:38do you change
50:39your game plan
50:40you go into it
50:40with a certain
50:41game plan
