00:00ARC differed from a lot of projects I've worked on in the past because of it's immediacy,
00:04both in our pace of development, our feedback with the community, and the way that we implement
00:10things that come from different places.
00:13Part of the idea coming into building this game, and behind Early Access even, was getting
00:18community feedback on things that were not just going to go into the game, but things
00:24that we were actively working on.
00:26Some of it's just like, hey, I got this idea, you want to try it?
00:29You know, we're big into rapid prototyping here, trying to get stuff in, seeing what works.
00:33Here you don't really clock out.
00:35You work until whatever you're working on is done, and that passion just kind of carries
00:40around the office, and it's very infectious.
00:42One of the best things about working here right now at Student Wellcard is most of us are generalists,
00:47right?
00:47So it's good to switch up a pace for what I do.
00:50The team is just, you know, they're really into what they're doing, and they're able
00:55to take on so many tasks that would seem impossible and make them happen.
01:01The trade shows have been awesome.
01:03This is my first time where I got to hit a bunch of them in one year.
01:07You know, we started with E3.
01:09We got a bunch of positive feedback there because we announced Xbox, and it was super exciting.
01:14The Arc was coming to Xbox much sooner than we anticipated.
01:17We got to meet up and sync a lot with the streamers there that were playing the game and a
01:21lot
01:21of the fans of the game.
01:23PAX.
01:23It was really cool.
01:25We ran a couple of mini-tournaments, a girl ended up winning it, and it was interesting
01:30because she's never really played, you know, SOTF or Survival of the Fittest or PvP mode before.
01:35It was really cool to see someone, you know, that's not really a PvP player win the game.
01:39This is the first cosplay that we ever had come to our actual booth.
01:42It was just amazing and surprising, right, to see that first person in full costume come
01:48up and the guy was really friendly and hung out with us and was basically an impromptu
01:53booth worker because people wanted to take pictures with him and everything, so that was
01:56kind of fun.
01:57There's a lot of really cool ideas out there.
02:00A little shameless plug here, I'm going to have to say my mod, Primitive Plus, is probably
02:04my favorite mod.
02:05But there is a huge pirate mod and I think it's really ambitious and it's really an interesting
02:10use of a gameplay space that we haven't explored.
02:14You know, the perfect hair forever mod, or maybe the cute hair.
02:18You should see some of the hairstyles they got in that.
02:20Someone's like, I got the best mod ever.
02:21You look down and it's like, just poop poop poop poop poop poop poop poop poop poop poop.
02:25It was like, hilarious to me.
02:27The debut of our game was a guy who could not progress past five minutes in the game because
02:32you could not harvest any rocks in the game at all.
02:34It was a dreadful, mortifying, just destroying moment for me, but also I think it's one of
02:42my absolute favorites.
02:43I'm going to be a little selfish and say favorite moment would be when I got hired.
02:47It's probably my favorite moment in the ARC development path.
02:51The week or two weeks before Survival of the Fittest got launched, it was basically us and
02:56a couple of volunteer testers staying up really, really late, just playtesting the game.
03:01It's really hard to have a favorite thing because it's just so fast-paced, you know.
03:07It's like, you always think like, I love this, this is a really great thing, but then you're
03:11like immediately on to the next great thing.
03:12I have to say my favorite moment really was at Gamescom when I got to see how many fans
03:18there were for ARC in Europe, in Germany, where Gamescom took place.
03:22Being up on a stage in front of a crowd of hundreds of people who all want to hear about
03:27ARC and what's the next stage of ARC's development.
03:30I worked a lot on our Extra Life event that we held to raise money for Children's Miracle
03:36Network and obviously the community was just a huge part of that.
03:42Everything becomes unfiltered and you're just, it's just you and them and then they're telling
03:46you about their bases, their stories, their experiences in ARC and so it's very casual
03:50and it's a lot of fun like being able to, it's like being in a pub with all the people
03:54who play ARC and you're just telling stories, you're shooting scenes, it's quite, it's very
03:58enjoyable to do.
04:00Thank you for allowing us to not only make the game that we've always wanted to make,
04:03but also to be able to do it with a community that's providing us the information that's
04:08required to make something at such a massive scale.
04:11You know, when ARC first started, we never thought for a minute it would blow up into what
04:15it is and we're very thankful that it did.
04:17So let's, let's keep making some awesome .
04:20Hello to all, thank you for being an active community in the development of ARC, for
04:26to allow us to develop content for you and to make this game a great experience for
04:32everyone.
04:33I would like to thank the fans and the community of ARC who helped us and helped us.
04:37They helped us and helped us.
04:39They helped us and helped us to make ARC come to the game and come to the end of the
04:41game
04:41and make our success.
04:42We didn't even think about it and we did it.
04:44Thank you.
04:44On behalf of the Studio Wildcard Florida team, I'd like to thank everyone involved for helping
04:49to make ARC not only an amazing dinosaur experience, but one of the most incredible survival games
04:55out there.
04:55We couldn't have done it without the love and support of our wonderful fans.
04:59And yes, the Vasilosaurus is next.
05:14.
05:14.
05:14.
05:14.
05:14.
05:14.
05:15.
