00:12on Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
00:13Francois, what can you tell me about Assassin's Creed Syndicate?
00:16Well, it's the first,
00:18I like to say it's the first
00:19true modern AC. The period
00:21is London of 1868
00:24is the Victorian era.
00:26At the epicenter of the Industrial Revolution,
00:28you'll get to play Evie
00:30and Jacob, twins,
00:32there are two protagonist assassins
00:34that are conquering London
00:36borrow by borrow, district by district
00:38to achieve their Assassin's Quest.
00:40And why did you choose the
00:42Industrial Revolution? Why this particular time period?
00:45It's only 75 years
00:46away from the French Revolution
00:48that we've seen in ACU, but literally
00:50it's completely different in a way
00:52that now there's vehicles on the streets,
00:55everything moves. The birth
00:56of new technology, it's really
00:58where it started.
01:00And what can you tell me about our two new
01:02assassins? Yeah, so you'll get to play
01:04Jacob Fry and Evie Fry.
01:07You all work
01:08for us. So they're twins,
01:11they're born and raised assassins,
01:12so they get to London in 1868
01:14with an Assassin's Creed quest
01:16to take down what's in control
01:18of London, the Templars.
01:20so they need to capture
01:22the districts using
01:24the street gangs. So they will ally
01:26the street gangs with their quest to
01:28defeat the Templars.
01:30And they actually start their own gang called the Rooks.
01:33How does this gameplay
01:34affect the whole overall story?
01:36We like to say that it's a tie between
01:38the main narrative, which is an Assassin's
01:40Creed Templars story
01:42obviously, but what we call the side quests
01:45or the activities is completely
01:46linked. You know, the fantasy of the gang
01:48lord or the criminal organization.
01:51So, you know, forming,
01:52developing, building the Rooks
01:54or the street gang of his
01:56own to defeat, like I said, the Templars.
01:59And because this is a much more
02:00modern era, you have a lot more modern
02:02weapons and you can't
02:04just walk around the streets carrying
02:06a sword, there's a lot more concealment.
02:09So what kinds of tools
02:10will Jacob and Evie be able to use
02:12in the game? Yeah, so the big,
02:14I'll say, the big game changer
02:16that you'll have in Assassin's Creed, that
02:18will change the way that the player is
02:20playing Assassin's Creed, first and foremost
02:22the vehicles. So, you know,
02:24the vehicles are everywhere in the streets.
02:27The second big one is a tool that we
02:28call the Rope Launcher. It's a navigation
02:30tool. It's a very powerful tool that
02:32the twins are having
02:34that gives them the ability to go on
02:36top of buildings using kind of a zipline
02:38system. And then the last one
02:40is true, like you made reference to
02:42the concealed weapons, the time where
02:44they were not having swords, it was
02:46a lot more brutal and hand-to-hand
02:48fight. So, you know, the brass knuckle,
02:51the cane, or the Kukri
02:52blade, this is all weapons that makes
02:54obviously Jacob and Evie
02:56brutal assassins, but
02:58very true to the period that they're in,
03:00the period of Victorian London.
