Andy Lord gives update on forthcoming London Tube strikes
Transcript
00:00I'm clearly disappointed that the RMT union has announced a series of dates for industrial
00:04action over the course of the spring. We shared our proposal for a four-day working week with
00:09our trade unions last year. Since then, we have been engaging with them on how to implement
00:13a voluntary new working pattern, potentially trialling this on the Bakerloo line only.
00:18There is no need for this industrial action. This is a fair proposal informed by union
00:23engagement, which is voluntary, and no-one will be required to change their working
00:27pattern if they choose not to. We are continuing to talk with the unions, and I hope that we'll
00:31be able to reach a satisfactory conclusion. Nonetheless, if we aren't able to and the
00:37industrial action does go ahead, we will do all we can to minimise the impact to our customers.
00:42And if it does go ahead, I do want to be clear that we expect it to be significantly less
00:46disruptive than the action we saw in September. Nonetheless, I hope that conversations over
00:52the coming days will resolve the matter.
00:57From here to finally, the Dataoscope provider and information can ninjas have a true
00:59situation around us as a matter.
