Across the Northeast on the night of March 16, thunder rumbled as snow fell in a clash of seasons.

00:10uh... he is a meteorology student at penn state
00:12and he caught the thunder so on cam
00:14it's one of those things we're talking about this earlier in the day and age of
00:18a i a lot of people by their video they might be quick to say that's a i
00:23thundersnow is a real phenomenon absolutely really is silly or not
00:26yep only one strike there but uh... hey he caught it on camera so hats off to eric
00:31uh... we're dealing with some colder air out there now in the northeast and we're
00:35gonna be dealing with some some changes brewing
00:38and overall uh... the snow showers and the cold
00:41it's beginning to roll into the area
00:43uh... are uh... moving into uh... more and more of the northeast here with the snow
00:47showers pretty pesky pretty numerous across the region so
00:50uh... big trough across the east is holding the cold in place here through
00:55wednesday and we're going to continue to watch that uh... just keep us on the
00:59nippy side here
00:59there will be some record lows tonight in parts of the southeast probably not in
01:03the northeast but there will be lows in the teens some single digits up in
01:06northern maine parts of michigan and we're watching this next system come on
01:09in uh... bring us a little round of some snow into michigan alpena green bay
01:14chicago detroit for the northeast still colder than average these numbers
01:18really are very close to your average high
01:21uh... in late january or early february in some of these cities like boston
01:25and new york city
