00:00The Innovative Democratic Alliance welcomes the dismantling of the radar and the departure of the troops from Tobago.
00:08From the beginning, we raised concerns about this installation, including the possible health impact on nearby communities,
00:17and we are relieved that those risks have now been reduced.
00:21But the removal of the radar does not close the matter.
00:25It actually exposes what many people suspected from this start.
00:31So, the population of Trinidad and Tobago was told that the radar was installed to fight crime and narcotics trafficking,
00:39particularly from Venezuelan waters.
00:42Yet today, the radar is suddenly gone, and the obvious question is, did Trinidad and Tobago win the war on
00:50drugs?
00:51Did the entire Caribbean narcotics trade suddenly disappear overnight?
00:57Because it is clear that after blowing up about 19 boats in the sea and removing one man,
01:06even one as prominent as Nicolas Maduro does not magically shut down a multibillion-dollar global drug industry.
