00:08Excellent. Extremely excellent. You should be given an additional grade for the efforts. You know why?
00:15Because people, a lot of you are ex-persons talking about trust and confidence.
00:20But that's the same officer that took his initiative the other day when there was an issue with transportation.
00:26And people are jumping in the police vehicle and having good conversation. That speaks to leadership.
00:31The Homeland Security Minister made no reference to the issue of crime and criminality or the Top Cop's management of
00:38the police service.
00:40Meantime, the TNT Police Service Social and Welfare Association is throwing its support behind the Top Cop.
00:47But he has demonstrated that he has the police officer's best interest at heart.
00:54He has demonstrated that he has the public's best interest at heart.
00:58He has demonstrated that he is willing to stand for the right thing, even if it means becoming unpopular.
01:05And that in itself is a very, very important trait for our Commissioner of Police.
01:10We wish him all the best going forward.
01:13He has the support of the men and women within the organization.
01:18And we trust that he will be able to bring the type of change that is so rightfully needed within
01:25the organization.
01:26However, some members of the public are not as inspired.
01:29I don't really have any feelings for him, to be quite honest.
01:34Sometimes I get the impression that he is just a little showboat and collecting a nice fat salary.
01:41And that's about it for the time being.
01:44You don't feel that he is doing a good job, an okay job, a bad job?
01:48He is doing whatever he is told to say.
01:52He wants his songs good and he figured that they will get a little extra attention.
01:57That's about it.
01:58But maybe it's time to get somebody else and give them a little chance.
02:03Guavaro's year in office marks the end of his 12-month probation period.
02:07It is now left up to the Police Service Commission to make the final determination on his tenure.
02:13However, at least one member of the public believes the people should have a say.
02:18So, I will assume that saying that you're not ready, you will start doing consultations with the people within at

02:26what are the issues that you never addressed because you didn't hold the position before, right?
02:31So, stakeholder management is important when it comes to governance and the people have not been approached to find out
02:40what are the problems that they need to be solved from the police, law enforcement part as well as the
02:45legislative and the judicial system, right?
02:50So, when we're talking about the performance of the Commissioner of Police, it's not in a vacuum.
02:55TV6 News reached out to the Commissioner asking whether he has been officially confirmed in the position
03:02as well as for what he sees as his achievements in his first year in office.
