00:04You're watching Discovery On Demand.
00:12So when we left New York, a lot of people think that I stopped building bikes.
00:16That's the furthest thing from the truth.
00:18I've probably built more bikes since I left New York than I did when I was in New York.
00:24I never stopped building bikes, and I probably never stopped, period.
00:58I never stopped building bikes, and I mean, you never stopped building bikes since I left.
01:09good all right man i'll see you tomorrow all right man red safe
01:13have a good night jimbo thanks you too paulie
01:36so is the ferrier coming today actually tomorrow i couldn't today we have grayball
01:41what time is grayball one o'clock so i'll finish the animals and then uh i guess i'll swing by
01:49and
01:49pick up you guys and we'll go together you're heading out now or are you gonna go no i'm gonna
01:53go i gotta get going i think this has been a great move especially for paul because
01:59he loves the smaller shop you know he's got this quaint little shop there um this you know
02:07basically little hobby farm that we can you know take in these animals but for pa it's like a dream
02:13again you know he's got animals back he went back to really his old school roots of building the way
02:18he wanted to and he loves it you know he leaves for work happy every day he comes home happy
02:24it's really
02:24been an incredible transition for him in terms of just um how much more relaxed he is so we had
02:31an
02:31event over the occ roadhouse to celebrate our veterans brian stern from grayball rescue was
02:36receiving an award that night later on the evening when the event was over brian and i met up we
02:41started talking and i had mentioned to him about a bike and how it would help bring awareness to his
02:44organization and what they do yeah so it should be brian and a bunch of other people up there my
02:48name
02:48is brian stern i'm the ceo and founder of grayball rescue we're a donor-funded veteran-led international
02:56rescue organization we rescue americans and allies not just americans but that's our priority
03:00from war zones conflict zones kidnappings hostages and also natural disasters so we're about 140 people
03:07all in we have people all over the place we have people deployed right now we work all over the
03:11world
03:12uh anything you see on tv that's a crappy place where people might be in trouble we're either
03:17been there already there right now or on our way right now uh like that so we are really busy
03:23entirely
03:23donor-funded we do not charge money carillo over there he's the first american victim of war crimes
03:28alive since world war ii we broke him out of jail from russia the russians had him tortured him for
03:3237 days broke him out of captivity which is the first time that that ever happened to russia
03:36and for fun we did that 11 more times that's us i'm gonna we'll show the video which
03:40because everything we say sounds kind of not believable which is why we record everything
03:45because we have the receipt for everything that we do my team and i have done over 600 missions all
03:50over the world we rescued over 7 000 people from hurricane ian to maui to afghanistan to ukraine
03:57russia israel gaza lebanon all over the place sudan we like to say that we work at the speed of
04:03need
04:03when americans are stuck or in trouble someone has to show up i would be dead if it wasn't for
04:09brian
04:10who saved my life knowing that we've like we've saved these people from something that being
04:15caught in a war conflict it's uh it's very very rewarding it feels amazing to bring american citizens
04:21home our countrymen these are our neighbors grable can't walk out of the parking lot without money
04:26without donations they can't fly overseas and help american they can't pull a hurricane victim out
04:30without gas chainsaws vehicles and donations pay for all that we can have all the things that we need
04:37but if i can't afford to take yes it just sounds like a good movie you know it sounds like
04:42something
04:42that we watch on tv and that's the one thing that i never ever ever ever want to do when
04:47somebody needs
04:47help is be a spectator what you do is just so incredibly um heartwarming and uh brave and
04:57everything else and emotional to be able to see that um it's really where it's an honor for us to
05:02be
05:03here truthfully so we've done tv for 18 years i mean this is really heartfelt here you know i'm psyched
05:09you know what i mean i like this is really cool and when we do stuff too we have to
05:14be into it you
05:15know what i'm saying we have to feel that this is something that we are honored to do in a
05:22sense you
05:36yeah well you know we got back to the shop um the guys were there and i really wanted these
05:42guys to
05:43know exactly what gray bull does because i think that you know if you just mentioned you're doing
05:48a bill as opposed to explaining you know what's involved in the build and everything for me
05:53you you get more into it once i gave them the kind of debriefing of what these guys do
05:59you know we just started building the bike at the end of the week when everybody starts to get paid
06:04here i'm keeping the money going the money going straight to them well tell them i said
06:13pretty good though emotional yeah yeah yeah yeah that's great people do that all right we got to
06:20go to work well you know me and jim have been building bikes quite a few bikes to be honest
06:24with
06:24you since we moved out here in florida but you know when you're doing a project like gray bull
06:28kind of get the band back together and because there's just a lot more involved smt where's that
06:37tire on you don't have to worry about marring the rim all up mounting the tire
06:45probably a burr on this one
06:50power tools you guys power tools we do the whole rail over right by the statue right here left we're
06:56pulling there right we got everything we got everything how you doing good good to see you
07:01yeah we're working out the shop lights up when mikey's here you know it's a different atmosphere
07:10uh for me it's a different feeling because you know i need somebody to play with and he he's the
07:18most fun so um when he's here um most of the time he's hard to find but when he is
07:25here
07:27he just lets off a glow you know let's go over this exhaust i i want to do like a
07:33long exhaust
07:33like come out of here come come back to about here yeah it'd be cool if i did like something
07:39where it came down like this and kind of bent over the cone a little bit and then i can
07:43straight pipe
07:44it and then kind of follow that i was thinking maybe like a teardrop uh slash cut on the pipe
07:50you
07:50know give it like an aggressive look probably make it look like it's you know going fast sitting
07:55still you know okay do it like it's in a tube drop there we go you get a little bit
08:01of leverage
08:01so i can angle it around before i get through
08:07oh man some electrolytes here
08:16so it's my first day on this build i'm just kind of looking at this frame in my head i'm
08:20just
08:20like i'm pulling out that drawer of archive like okay what pipes do i want to build it's challenging
08:25when when you're doing that stuff on the fly like we're hand making most of these parts right here
08:29in the house so what do you think the hardest bike we ever built was let me ask you a
08:34question and tell
08:34you the answer yeah why don't you just give me a hint uh dead people
08:39dead people dead people oh the hearse bike oh oh yeah so he still uses that i know he does
08:46but tell me
08:46that wasn't an insulman was that crazy i just he just texted me you know what's funny we had to
08:51test
08:51that we've had like three or four different front ends on that i remember johnny read that he was the
08:55biggest heaviest one in the shop um being back here with with some of the guys um it's it's really
09:01a lot
09:01of fun we haven't been all together in the same room in quite some time and um you know i
09:06first
09:06came here was it was kind of story time you know we have a million of them um and just
09:11reminiscing
09:11about some of the crazy stuff we did some of the funny stuff we did um but you know at
09:17some point
09:17we got to get to work how you're going to get out those stitches that's the reason why it might
09:24hurt a
09:34little bit so working with paul now versus back in new york it's different the stress level for
09:41everybody is is not existence for the most part we just enjoy working together having fun
09:47he's teaching me things i'm not a bike builder by trade so he's been showing me what's going on
09:52and we've been building together uh just doing really cool stuff and working with some cool
09:56people down here in florida that we've met a lot more steps this piece next is going to be really
10:01a painy ass it is worse than all this because you my friend are an imbecile
10:08people always ask what do you like about working with paul is he really like to see on tv i'm
10:13like
10:13how great how great was jackie gleason so i think what we need to do is make a plate in
10:19here
10:20okay this way come around and fill in this fill in this area right and then anthony made an oil
10:28tank
10:29we'll see how the oil tank and the battery box to fill this area because it's stretched so far
10:34it looks real empty in there right uh we're they're working on the front end so uh i i think
10:41we're doing really good um again anthony's building the gas tank that's kind of like i think that's an
10:46area that none of us are qualified in other than nancy so uh but the fender's not done we got
10:52a lot
10:53of fabrication to do on that fender it's a real long bike uh the frame's been stretched so uh so
11:01yeah
11:01i'm getting back to work
11:15my name is anthony keeling i'm in a company called tinworks inc i've been helping paul for about
11:19two or three years now off and on i build frames for him and stuff and today i'm helping him
11:24try to
11:25get this bike done helping out and i'm building the gas tank mount the oil tank battery blocks
11:31it's gonna be pretty nice build when it's done
11:46why do you all make that look when i walk in like there's something wrong because we're happy to see
11:49you you're never happy to all morning everybody where's joan where's joan oh yeah yeah where's
11:54joan we hope she got hit by i don't know but i already miss her really yeah so joan paul's
12:00wife
12:00most people don't know she's actually the ceo of orange county choppers so she keeps us running
12:05smooth and keeps us on point i mean a lot of times she'll stop by the shop to see what
12:09paul and
12:09i are up to or not up to she makes sure we're on point with delivering the bikes on time
12:13and what
12:14the client is looking for what do you think mike we could drive it yeah we got a lot of
12:19people
12:19working on it all at once so like the old days you know yeah well that's what i feel like
12:25i just
12:26walked in i'm like wait wait wait i'm in a time warp you know
12:33it's awesome that's a great time right you know what i was just gonna say
12:38it actually fits perfect the whole thing perfectly yeah i like it a lot you know you know me i'd
12:44be
12:45it's almost the same way when you're looking down this way the tank's a little wider but it's oh it's
12:50so close really great job yeah no it really does it's a great job speaking of custom how's my custom
12:56bike coming along paul you don't have some place to be you got to feed the chickens maybe or the
13:00cow we
13:01don't have chickens just for the record oh get them
13:11where's jimbo hey don't sneak up on me i'm sorry uh what do we got mikey me i'm working on
13:17mikey on
13:18the rear oh great me and you wrap out all right all right there set first oh what this
13:25let me do this let me do this we're having like a slow start this morning i think it's mainly
13:40because of michael he's late this morning three days in a row one more time i'm gonna have to can
13:46have a conversation with the camera you better get on the stick all right all right
13:55good pep talk
13:58you know all right
14:03paul had some surgery done to his hand and had some stitches so the doctor is supposed to be stopping
14:07by
14:07which is good because to get paul to go to the doctor and to get us to do anything when
14:11we're done
14:11working is tough it's hot it's hot well i drove an hour to get here did you really
14:16yeah i must love you a lot i'm like a coward when it comes to this
14:20like when they cut it and they stitch it didn't bother me at all but now
14:25that it looks great yeah but look at how this has grown over that how you're going to get at
14:29those stitches that's the reason why it might hurt a little bit you sure you want to do it here
14:34yeah it's your hand not mine yeah you good yeah it doesn't matter it's fine let's do it
14:40mike you're working here yeah yeah huh how'd this happen
14:44you don't want to let anyone know no i don't talk about it i don't want i don't want to
14:47talk
14:47i think my father is getting to the age where like he's causing himself embarrassing accidents
14:52but doesn't want to tell anybody so he came in one day with a uh with a a real gash
14:58in his hand and
14:58he kind of didn't want to tell anybody how it happened you know but it's sitting there like
15:03frankenstein's uh you know stitches in his head so it's kind of hard not to give him a hard time
15:07about what's going on kind of like the uh the giant dent in the front of his truck you know
15:13he blasted something with that he i don't think he wants to tell anyone they might take his license
15:19away so you know i got a brown paper bag and bring it to you you gotta give it the
15:24old college try and
15:25every time i pull it he's angry thank you see yeah boom he said it what do you do if
15:31we go to your
15:32place over there what are you gonna do i just i'll probably open it up a little bit open it
15:37up yeah
15:38i have to look at this it's here now we'll just let we'll let it all right hold on we're
15:44just gonna
15:44clean it up let's clean it up here we made it wd wd got tons of it i need you
15:48can you wear it we
15:49don't have the new spark right no right i'll bill you later all right let me know if you need
15:54me
15:55all right i'll see you later love you thank you love you too appreciate it he's my boy
15:59i gotta make house calls i gotta make house calls it is what it is that's what you do you
16:03take care of your
16:07friends um as far as the bars on this bike um drew made these bars actually makes quite a few
16:25different sets of uh handlebars and this one set of bar was very unique and i really liked it so
16:32i had asked them to fabricate a set of those for gray ball ah i'm not digging it man because
16:45it's
16:46these are going up in the air i wanted them to come down this way because anything and uh you
16:52know we
16:52got it on put them on and they just didn't cut it uh first of all the stretching the rake
16:58and everything
16:59uh the position of the handlebars just and whatnot it didn't work so uh so we had to go to
17:05option b
17:06which was you know set of kind of pull back drag bars uh and even then we had to make
17:11like eight
17:11inch uh spacers to bring them up over the tank when you're building custom bikes of every frame that we
17:17do has got like a different rake on it normally when i build my zeus bars it's for like a
17:21stock rake so
17:22i just went ahead and built them for that thinking i could just you know change the angles and they're
17:26cool
17:27like on a stock rake but with that 40 degree angle it just wasn't looking right you know what i'm
17:31saying it was just like real sharp edges and like everything on the bike was kind of like smooth so
17:35wasn't really flowing what did you cut yourself yesterday
17:52all right you ready brother yes sir yes sir not you nope nope you my friend
18:02oh it's the little things that make you laugh you know what i mean how's that look centered
18:10just tack that corner in there if i get a shock you're getting punched man
18:17ow oh all right get a little more tack not not on that side just on the inside
18:25you know what i mean bro i think it's got to go over that way a little bit but i
18:30think it's centered
18:31right downhill and over the hill of course he doesn't put his glasses on no no all right you know
18:37what he's the new guy you gotta ride yeah i gotta you know put my time in you gotta get
18:41his initiation
18:42man he i'm easy on him i guess so
18:49right nice
18:52i sold i never should have sold yeah it's way too tight
19:03oh yeah it's hot oh it's already over it's already over yeah all right let's see back to the drawing
19:22board
19:23bring it over here mike
19:32you always prepare for these things but it never ever works out
19:40me and mike have kind of a chemistry you know so no matter what we do together we have fun
19:44um so the sissy bar entailed quite a bit of work i'm down
19:51i'm down you're gonna you're gonna burn someone's eyebrows off
19:55you know what happens we've made a bunch of sissy bars together and usually we get halfway and have to
19:59start from the beginning this is one of the rare times we didn't have to so that was kind of
20:06an
20:06accomplishment right no it was good it was good i enjoyed oh great i don't want to tell you thanks
20:12mike
20:13appreciate you brother yep you be you too i'll see you um in hell so now that the paint and
20:21powder
20:21coat for the gray bull bike is out it's time for a little r and r a little us time
20:25so paul's got a
20:26friend who owns an airboat place with crocodiles and other stuff so it should be pretty interesting
20:31so uh we're gonna go out check that out and have some fun my name is david schlum i'm one
20:36of the
20:36owners out here at wild bills airboat tours uh paul senior he's been coming out here for a couple
20:41years hanging out with me i got one of his bikes in my house he's a really stand-up guy
20:45this is a day out
20:46for us uh we usually almost on every show we do we take a day where we have a good
20:54time
20:54uh so we decided to come over here with dave
21:12you know what coming here today is so funny because it's really peaceful and it's just a break
21:17from you know everyday life between the shop you know the business side working out the farm which i
21:23love you know all of a sudden you come out here and you forget about everything it's just a great
21:27break i have to admit it i was a little bit scared of paul driving in the boat because uh
21:31we've all
21:32seen his truck you know and uh he has no fear whatsoever like he doesn't it's amazing you would
21:39think as you get older you would get a little bit you know more fearful of things i think he's
21:43actually
21:44gotten worse when it comes to that zero fear just hit it we all came out of our seats but
21:49it was so much
21:50fun this place was always an adventure we brought haley in i've been watching her on her instagram
22:05for quite some time now she's pretty amazing person she does she tells you like it is she's a little
22:10raw
22:11what she does what i admire about her is she she'll get her front end that's bent and twisted and
22:16rusted and
22:17she'll get an old rim or old whatever it may be and she'll fix it when the girl comes in
22:23i'm gonna
22:23have her work with you christian she's like really good with stringers you know good you ever see her
22:28on on uh he showed me he showed me the uh i checked her out quick yeah i came in
22:33and uh they put me to
22:34work with um with haley and uh i wasn't very familiar with her working together and she's she's you know
22:40she got the trucker mouth going cool girl this goes like loud you're amazing all right i would
22:50have thought for sure they'd be like well listen i might not be right no that's that's not how many
22:56choppers do you think you've built a lot oh crap we did over a thousand just on the show yeah
23:04it's always the most dicey thing is putting the springs on haley's fitting right in like one of
23:09the team she's really good she's done front ends before in springers so we knew that would be a
23:14good place to have her start yeah she's knocking it out yeah so this morning we came in uh haley
23:19and
23:19i were working on getting the front break totally situated um a lot of spacing it's a lot of math
23:25involved actually um so we're we're just about done with that so yeah we're off to a good start a
23:31little
23:31better than yesterday i would say i found bikes is something like instinctively i couldn't put my
23:36finger on it i just had to be on a bike i knew that it was something i had to
23:40do but all the bikes like
23:41all the stock bikes for whatever reason that was like some intuition or something that was going on
23:46where i didn't like any of the stock bikes either so he notices what i'm doing which a lot of
23:50people
23:50they don't notice that kind of stuff they just want to see paint and chrome and then that's what
23:54constitutes a build but obviously there's no chroming really around me and so we got to make do with
24:00what we got and we're making our own parts and uh he gets it he sees that hurry up go
24:04fast dude look
24:06at that spring
24:07uh so today jim and i are just working on some odds and ends i got some wiring i'm doing
24:20uh just making
24:21sure everything's you know tight locked uh ready to go all right so i think we got most of it
24:28yeah jim had received the uh the paint yesterday and he noticed there was a little difference in
24:33the in the shade of the gray so we called paul in see what he thought of it when i
24:38came in the tanks
24:39were in here and the color gray that was on the gas tanks opposed to the bars and the other
24:46stuff that
24:47we used for accent uh on the front end in the in the primary uh was totally different color well
24:53the
24:53tins and stuff came in yesterday the tins oh yeah they look amazing but i think we have an issue
25:00so let me grab one i can see it already yep that's the issue
25:08ken did another amazing job on the paint it's amazing let me grab you a piece so we can hold
25:14it
25:14next to it so you can see what the that guy is just ah insane he's like a professional well
25:20yeah he's like i don't know how we got him yeah oh yeah right what's he doing a piece you
25:27can hold
25:27next to it you can definitely see the difference oh my god it's way different yeah it is it's it's
25:32too much to leave it's a nice gray but it's just not the same gray but there's so much of
25:36it on the
25:36bike you're going to notice it um there was you know a few things we had to take off the
25:43primary
25:43uh handlebars risers uh part of the springer front end um battery box uh all to get re-powder coated
25:51with this new powder color that we're we're using the new powder code why don't you give them a coin
25:55yeah they're right down the street hopefully they're they're there and we can do something with it
26:01uh i mean it doesn't seem like we got to take that this that's going to be the biggest pain
26:07yeah
26:07front end well just this just the those the spring side and a front end bars risers primary
26:16how can i help you hey it's jim from occc how you doing good how are you good thanks i
26:21got you on
26:21speakerphone with paul and christian hey so we just got some tins in for a bike we're building
26:29and the powder coat we had done previously to the bike is not matching at all it's just way too
26:35different so i wanted to see if you guys could come down with your your sample pack and and we
26:40can see if we can match it up and get get this fixed yeah absolutely we can have that way
26:44right now
26:44yeah uh give you a heads up so you can think about it on your way over it's gonna have
26:49to be a quick
26:49turn and burn like tomorrow yeah that's not a problem yeah cool yeah head on over you know we're at
26:55right that was easy you should have said today once they get here we take this stuff off here
27:01we could start putting this stuff on yeah i mean we could start taking the stuff off now or we
27:05just
27:05want to get here so what do you want to hit first you want to take all that i think
27:09the bar
27:09controls the stuff off we'll just have to do a little by little because these bolts don't come all
27:13way out am i correct which ones these these do what i do yeah all right yeah barely so how
27:23many
27:23times did you put the bike together
27:28hey we're still not hey how are you how are you yeah good to see you guys thanks for coming
27:33down
27:33so like any custom build with a car a bike a house or whatever it may be there's going to
27:37be issues
27:38the powder coat and the paint the gray versions just didn't match there was too much of an
27:42inconsistency to let it go so we had to get another powder coater to come in and fix it
27:47and do it really quick and fortunately cq coatings did that the real way to do is do the powder
27:51coat
27:52and have the paint match the powder coat but we didn't do it that light that's all right so that'll
27:56work that color will work yeah i can get this today from our supplier i'll pick it up and we
28:00can have
28:00the parts done by tonight yeah that'll work i'll give you a call if something changes that's great
28:04that's great that's great now we appreciate you guys running and getting done so quick
28:09yeah let's get the part over with we've got to go yeah we got plenty of room right it's got
28:14to go
28:15like this yeah yeah so here just put this in yeah if i hold like that
28:27think part remember it would slide off of there so you got to have like dead on
28:31so me and christian were taking the spring apart uh not for the first time
28:36and uh we're using this this tool that we used to use man we used it for years and years
28:40back in the
28:40old shop even and i was compressing the spring that pulls the tension on the springs so that you could
28:47release it uh and and take the springs off and i pulled the the whole stud out where the stud
28:53should
28:53have stayed just enough should it came off so there was nothing holding that spring in and he still had
28:57it compressed and i noticed that the spring was bowing uh christian started moving away he said
29:05you need to hurry up and uh when i looked at the the spring on the triple between the triple
29:12trees was
29:13almost bent like a u and i mean there was a lot a lot of pressure underneath that spring so
29:18i tried
29:19to get him to go fast fast fast you know loosen it get it off and as soon as he
29:23said that it let go
29:24and uh before i could even get that totally out of my mouth the thing went whipping across
29:29dude look at that spring i don't want oh wow well that'll work you all right holy crap right there's
29:39good that thing hit me right in the wrist bro you all right keep going fast uh it hit me
29:45it hit me in
29:46in the hand you know it's i could still feel it we got a red mark there but i guess
29:51it could have
29:51been worse i mean that thing went whipping as a matter of fact we didn't see where the one piece
29:55went jim found it on the floor afterwards that was the part that i didn't see we looked up at
30:00the
30:01ceiling and there's a hole in the ceiling um so luckily i mean it would have knocked teeth out could
30:07have been at the dentist getting new teeth because the pressure that that had to be able to almost
30:12stick it to the ceiling it's funny that's my guessing pretty much lucked out there
30:24hey what's going on uh oh i'll tell you you did a nice job yeah because usually there's a lot
30:32of
30:33orange peel in here that's yeah it's very really nice job thanks now that we got the powder coat back
30:39you know we need to get the we need to get it back together and if something else unexpectedly
30:44comes up which usually does we could be in trouble bye guys thanks thank you thank the team for us
30:51yeah you know sometimes putting a motorcycle together is pretty darn tedious a lot of nuts
30:57and bolts and knickknacks that you got to put together and it takes time and it's it's not exactly
31:02a big hurdle but um you know it's something that needs to be done
31:07and we're having a lot of fun here doing it see if you can get this side if this side's
31:11uh get it lined up on this side that ain't bad oh nice you're probably old right it looks pretty
31:19good actually yeah we were talking about the other day remember yeah we're pretty much getting caught up
31:24um kind of it's kind of difficult when everybody kind of sort of kind of works in the same area
31:32you're
31:32kind of banging to but we we're we've been coming along we got the primary pretty much done uh got
31:37the covers on there uh al got the light all hooked up so we got a little more electric work
31:42to do
31:43probably another couple at least a couple hours of everything got to get the oil tank on run the oil
31:47lines and and the rest of that stuff but i think that we're uh i think we're on schedule i
31:52don't like
31:52to say that because every time i say that something goes wrong but but i think we're okay i mean
31:58everybody's believe it or not even know we're on top of each other everybody's getting their part done
32:04yeah it's pretty it's it's it's cool how like every time you put a piece on like the headlight
32:10changes it you know the seat changes it they're going to be as well they're definitely gonna like this
32:20look like it's kink you know we're gonna do right sounds good
32:45you did good mike thanks
32:49oh we're just gonna freaking send it or what we're gonna send it bro
32:56send it the only way isn't it i think i'm afraid
33:15yeah so we got the bike off the lift sounding great those rims look great man
33:21yeah wow the rims really smt wheels look good boy it looked good and uh christian took it down
33:28the road and back just to see how the clutch and everything which which was good uh the issue which
33:33actually we've seen as soon as we got it off the lift the steering needs to be uh shortened because
33:39it's hitting the gas tank so what we're gonna have to do is it's an old school chopper thing because
33:45you never really used to put stops on there you're either drill and tap it or put a chain on
33:50there or
33:50whatnot so um once you know once we figure out where that's got to go and drill it um hopefully
33:56uh
33:57take it out one more time i think i'm gonna take it up one more time not a christian did
34:00it
34:01and uh and and it should be good for the unveil tomorrow night hopefully but as long as there's
34:07nothing else holding in front of gray bowl and brian and their team as well as our team and uh
34:12it was amazing
34:20uh we've built a lot of bikes for different organizations over the years but this uh this
34:25gray bull bike is really something near and dear and something really uh special to all of us i think
34:33mike hey where are you mike hey what are you doing back there i was just inventory
34:43doing some inventory we really didn't have much time to spare at all uh it was you know the day
34:50of
34:50the event we're wrapping this bike up we're we're doing the steering chains making sure everything's
34:55good for the unveil everything's running all right and um we really you know we and we're used to it
35:01you know from back in the day we were always under some sort of crunch or deadline you know i'm
35:05used to
35:05it personally i think mikey is as well um and so we just worked and you just keep going until
35:10you get it
35:11done that we did you got one shot to do this why because where you drill and tap this hole
35:18on both
35:19sides yeah but you're going to adjust the chain with the link yeah but if you go if you go
35:25too long
35:25that's a long link then you could go too long then it's known to hold it to where you want
35:31it and then
35:32then right punch it out and if you do it it up then you go the other way but then
35:36you're going
35:37you know cut this turn radius yeah right i can't do the left i can't turn
35:45like loose no just loosen that a little bit yeah you could do that too flattened it more with the
35:50spacers you use the spacers and the chain you know what i'm saying in a vise where's mike
35:57okay three four five six man right bam right there well you know it's really nice and mellow
36:04working with my dad now you know he instead of uh yelling at me he just kind of breaks my
36:09a little
36:10bit and um it's really nice because he's very old now you know so i think he needs me in
36:17some way
36:17shape or form i don't know how i'm worthless on a bull with the book with the uh motorcycle and
36:23the
36:23when the motorcycle's in the fabricating you know but um uh i just really enjoy being around it now
36:32give that the christian sure we'll go to uh me no
37:02oh
37:14so the bike like most of the times time was of the essence and we were running a little behind
37:20but
37:20we were going to get it done so we were able to finish it which is good because it allows
37:24us to
37:24go out and see some of the vendors here at the saint peak bike fest we had some friends here
37:28like gray
37:28bull jay from operation healing heroes and talon from cq who's our new powder coder so it was good to
37:34be able to go out spend some time with them and just relax a little bit after getting the bike
37:38done
37:38you know the unveils are always great but it's even better when we get to do them at the occ
37:43roadhouse
37:43the reveal was so nerve-wracking to be honest with you because even though you think that this is an
37:50excellent bike and it fits perfectly you still never really know what the client has in their mind so the
37:56gray bull unveil went well uh joan and i got out there got the crowd ready we brought brian up
38:02brian
38:03talked about gray bull joan talked about gray bull and then brian showed everybody a video it was the first
38:08time the video has been made public the gray bull team hadn't seen it they fired it up everybody
38:12turned around from gray bull the crowd was quiet could hear a pin drop because everybody was paying
38:17attention to that video we rolled right into ukraine and that was a humanitarian crisis unto itself
38:22we've done 68 american babies from the war in ukraine oh my baby thank you everyone babies in a war
38:29zone
38:30on life support and incubators gives you gray hair several americans have come back home after being
38:36held hostage by russian forces in ukraine i would be dead if it wasn't for brian he saved my life
38:43without
38:44brian i would still be there the united states and u.s citizens need gray bull very simply because
38:52more americans are held at risk today than ever before and no one's coming i like to be able to
38:58say
38:58we're coming my greatest fears have now come true which is having to say no we have way more people
39:05asking us
39:05for help that we can afford and that's because we're donor funded if we do not have money we cannot
39:11do what we do this operation is logistically very expensive if there's no donations there's no money
39:18to execute uh evacuations or rescues we can have all the things that we need but if i can't afford
39:24to
39:24thank you yes it just sounds like a good movie and that's the one thing that i never ever ever
39:29ever
39:30want to do when somebody needs help is be a spectator
39:35so the video gets done we're pumping everybody up you hear the bike coming uh you hear paul revving
39:41it up coming around the corner he pulls it in it's a long bike it's over 11 feet long so
39:45riding that in
39:46uh paul killed it as always pulled it in front of gray bull and brian and their team as well
39:50as our team
39:51and it was amazing audience was so receptive so i was really glad to see that but as soon as
40:03the bike
40:03pulled out and you saw their faces we knew we nailed it because they could not have been happier with
40:11the
40:11bike so it really in the end after all the anxiety turned out to be awesome so after the unveil
40:18and
40:18everybody was checking out the bike we invited all of gray bull back over to the shop to talk to
40:22us
40:23and see where the bike was made i think i think it's beautiful i think it's beautiful it definitely
40:27you know balance it's there balance
40:32you know the the thing of it is every bike that we build tells a story and i think that
40:38people that
40:39we've done bikes for 20 years ago so they still have the same bike and they take it to events
40:45you know
40:45it's always an attraction people go to the bike before they go to a nice car core looked at this
40:49and we were just ecstatic something that was an american icon orange county choppers be able to
40:54build something like this bring notoriety to what we do it's been a blessing this is really going to
41:00help us working with orange county choppers this really draws a lot of attention to the charity and
41:04once we can draw that attention uh once people learn about what we do and why it's necessary that's
41:09super helpful to the charity uh we're we're really grateful and thank you thank you orange county
41:14choppers for picking great bull getting our word out there uh super excited and you absolutely nailed
41:20exactly what we were going for thank you OCC great ball wait wait a minute wait a minute that was
