00:07I've been a fan of David Cronenberg's work for such a very long time.
00:12I've always wanted to work with him.
00:13He's just such a magnificent filmmaker, so assured, so interesting.
00:19And actually I've known Bruce's work for a long time too.
00:23I first read a novel of his, probably in the early 90s, a book called I'm Losing You.
00:28So when I came across the script, I was, you know, I loved it.
00:32It's interesting too because Bruce's work is so, like I said, funny and emotional and big.
00:37And David is so precise and intellectual and also very good with feelings.
00:46So that combination I think has been really amazing.
00:50Bruce is so imaginative in his writing, so creative and so funny too.
00:57You know, I mean, I think that's, that's, he really does kind of blend the sublime and the ridiculous.
01:01You'll have a moment of high, high comedy that'll kind of like skid right into something very dark and very
01:07dramatic.
01:07And it's, it's, it's rare that you're ever able to kind of fool around with tone that way.
01:12So to be able to have material like this and be in the hands of a director like David Cronenberg,
01:17it's, it's been a tremendous gift.
