00:00What is the situation you like seven mamma?
00:05Do you like this?
00:05It's usually based on what I respond to when I read something.
00:09You know, sometimes I'll read something and I won't connect with it.
00:11I know it's not for me.
00:13And other times I'll read something right away and I'll be like, hmm, I like this.
00:16I can see, you know, in this instance, I kind of, I understood her dilemma.
00:21I like the humor.
00:23I thought that she was, I thought the character was funny.
00:26I like the extremity of it.
00:28I love Sergei, I love Jeff, it was all, it all seemed to be a very intriguing package.
00:40It's their own, you know, it's absolutely their own.
00:43I think that's why we like them, you know, because it's a way to, you know, mythology and fantasy,
00:51we literalize, in them we literalize feelings.
00:54So, you know, you take an emotion, you make it very big.
00:56So what if you are so angry, you're so angry that you can turn into a dragon?
00:59What would happen then, you know, and then how do you get the dragon back in the box?
01:03And, you know, so they're really all metaphors for feelings, for huge, huge feelings.
01:14I do think that it's interesting that we have this notion of witches,
01:20that somehow in every culture there's this, you know,
01:24for when there are things that can't be explained, you know,
01:27we blame it on witches, witchcraft, on ghosts, on, you know,
01:33because we do have a need to literalize it, to understand it, to take it apart.
01:40It's, I think we abhor, you know, as much as we are intrigued by a mystery,
01:45I think we also abhor it and we seek explanation all the time.
01:54I think we can bring awareness to it, you know,
01:58and one of the things that Jeff's character says, Gregory says to Malkin at the end,
02:03you know, is that he has hope and belief in humankind, you know,
02:07and he's the one that triumphs and Mother Malkin doesn't believe in change anymore.
02:12She feels so defeated by it.
02:13So to have a character, even in a fantasy like this,
02:16to have a character say that they believe in the possibility of goodness,
02:20and human goodness, I think it's just, it's a wonderful message to put out there.
02:24Thank you very much.
02:28Thank you.
