00:00This is my first time to the festival and to be here with George and this cast and production.
00:07The Mad Max franchise and world holds a very special place in my heart being Australian.
00:13So it was vivid and had a wonderful sort of nostalgia about my childhood
00:20and the response at the end, it just rang the bell of gratitude in my heart for the opportunity
00:26and thanks to George for bringing me into the space
00:32and also to the audience who have such a passion for these films.
00:36It's really quite extraordinary to experience something through the eyes of an audience.
00:40I think all of us are so in love with film,
00:44but that naturally kind of means that you always have a moment where you know too much,
00:49you know too much of the tricks behind the camera,
00:52like you can't really distance yourself and yesterday for the first time
00:55I really felt like I could watch it.
00:57There was no television, there was no internet,
01:01there was just schools, comics, school books and the Saturday matinee.
01:07And it was a little bit like the movie theatre in town was like a secular cathedral or church
01:14and we'd go there and we'd see a cartoon, newsreels, a serial and two features.
01:23And the rest of the time we were lucky enough with my brothers and I to play.
01:29And the play.
01:29So
