00:44:00We destroyed them.

00:45:09Quite a moment for the Bolsheviks and their chance at the World Tag Team Championship.

00:45:13Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Volkov has requested that you please rise for the singing of the Russian national anthem.

00:45:45And there are opponents, the company to the ring with their manager, Mr. Fuji.

00:45:52Weighing for the soldier, my weight of 583 pounds, here are the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions.

00:46:00The Axe and Smash Demolition.

00:46:04Well, Mike McGrath said accompanied by Mr. Fuji, but you can tell Mr. Fuji is not there.

00:46:09No, there's been a lot of water on the bridge since that particular time,

00:46:15when Mr. Fuji did accompany Demolition into the ring.

00:46:19And Demolition now, they've got to think about these two men that they're facing very, very hard indeed.

00:46:27Because they're getting very, very tough opposition from two big, powerful Russians.

00:46:34And remember, the title is at stake.

00:46:38Certainly these two men have to be thinking about what happened not too long ago at the Survivor Series.

00:46:44And Mr. Fuji turned on these two men, and now I guess it's the manager of the Powers of Pain.

00:46:50And watch out, the Bolsheviks go right after Axe and Smash, but Axe and Smash coming right back.

00:46:56Now, Zukov being sent in, Axe works on him, Smash on to the other Russian.

00:47:04Both man double teaming now, Nikolai Volkov and Volkov in trouble.

00:47:08Yes, indeed, a lot of trouble there for the Russians right at the offset.

00:47:13They tried to get the initial advantage, but Demolition, Axe and Smash were up to that particular ploy straight away.

00:47:22And talking, Tony, about Mr. Fuji not being with the champion's Demolition,

00:47:27I think, personally, they're much better off without him.

00:47:30Well, I would agree, and certainly fans are starting to take to this duo,

00:47:34the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champs ever since WrestleMania IV.

00:47:38These two men have held onto the belts and are working now on quite a challenge here from Zukov

00:47:46and from Nikolai Volkov, quite a combination themselves.

00:47:50Yes, in a moment, we have Smash in the ring with Nikolai Volkov,

00:47:54although Smash has just tagged Axe in.

00:47:57And the big Russian, the bigger of the Russians, Nikolai Volkov,

00:48:01he takes a little time to get going.

00:48:03But once he gets warmed up, he is really a devastating wrestler.

00:48:10Axe continues to put the pressure, and there's a good look at Axe of Demolition.

00:48:19Now, reaches over and makes a tag.

00:48:21Great teamwork here, keeping now the man in their corner.

00:48:25There's nowhere for Nikolai Volkov to go.

00:48:27No, absolutely, right now in the ring, we must have two of the most powerful men

00:48:31in the World Wrestling Federation there.

00:48:33The Russian Nikolai Volkov, 300 pounds of sheer power and brutality,

00:48:38and Smash, 300 pounds of sheer power and a lot of finesse.

00:48:44We are in Salisbury, Maryland for this encounter.

00:48:48And there's a lot of great teams in the World Wrestling Federation.

00:48:52This certainly is one of the toughest, the Bolsheviks.

00:48:56Well, right now, of course, they do have this title match because they are the number one contenders.

00:49:01And so far, they really haven't shown that spark that they have.

00:49:06And I was looking for better things from the Russians right off.

00:49:09But Axe and Smash give them their due.

00:49:11They haven't allowed the Russians to get on top at any point at this match so far.

00:49:16Double team here from Demolition.

00:49:19As Smash goes right to the midsection and right to the side of the head.

00:49:23And Zhukov are making Volkov in trouble.

00:49:27A snapmare takes Nikolai down.

00:49:30And he knows how he blocks him from his corner.

00:49:32But still, Volkov is able to tag in Zhukov.

00:49:35And here comes the other Bolshevik.

00:49:38And for the first time, we see the Russians beginning to establish

00:49:41why they are the number one contenders.

00:49:44But look at this.

00:49:45Smash fighting right back against Zhukov.

00:49:48Zhukov, yes, and made that really very, very intelligent tag to Axe.

00:49:56You know, it's really hard to tell sometimes where they have their back to you.

00:50:02Yes, indeed it is.

00:50:03Which one is which?

00:50:06In a way.

00:50:07Right to the chop to the chest.

00:50:09And here comes Axe.

00:50:12Well, they are taking the measure aboard Zhukov.

00:50:15As Zhukov finds himself on the mat, Axe goes right to work on him one more time.

00:50:20A little words over to Nikolai Volkov.

00:50:23Here's your double team double axe handle blow on the back of boy Zhukov.

00:50:27Smash comes in.

00:50:28And they are nothing but outfits in this match.

00:50:30Out goes Zhukov onto the floor.

00:50:32They really are, Tony.

00:50:34There's a lot of fierce, fierce intensity about them.

00:50:37And they've controlled this match right from beyond.

00:50:41And believe me, when the title is at stake, demolition of probably the most

00:50:46devastating team that you will find in the World Wrestling Federation.

00:50:51The champs with or without Mr. Fuji finds himself now in the powers of pain.

00:50:57Certainly that's something that will have to come to light down the road between

00:51:01those two teams.

00:51:02But right now, the job at hand is to defend those belts against the Bolsheviks and

00:51:09doing a pretty good job of it right now.

00:51:11There are indeed.

00:51:12And you can bet your life that Mr. Fuji and the powers of pain, the Warlord and the Barbarian

00:51:17are watching this match very, very closely indeed.

00:51:20Looking for some sort of weakness in the champions.

00:51:23Take care, you stick it, Tony.

00:51:24But I don't see any weakness myself.

00:51:27Not only that, Alfred, notice how the fans are taking now to

00:51:32Demolition since Mr. Fuji has departed.

00:51:35Come on in.

00:51:35Absolutely, there was a lot of dissension in their last matches between Mr.

00:51:40Fuji and Axe and Smash.

00:51:43And as I said in the beginning, I think that the team of Demolition are better off without him.

00:51:48But they did object to some of his more brutal moves that he was trying to foster inside them.

00:51:56Reverse chin lock, and Zuka finds himself sitting on the mat, and Axe with his arms

00:52:02wrapped around the chin, raking him in right across the eyes, even though the fans were cheering

00:52:07for Demolition here.

00:52:10Even though Mr. Fuji is no longer with them, they certainly are the same team.

00:52:14They're very devastating.

00:52:16And they've gone about this task in a very, very good manner indeed.

00:52:21Showing every intention of not allowing the Russians any leeway whatsoever.

00:52:30Right out of the shoulder, with an iron bar.

00:52:37And here's a tag, and here comes Axe back in, relentless Demolition.

00:52:43That's right, they're the tag team champions.

00:52:44Here's a cover, did not hook a leg, gets a two cap.

00:52:48And I'm not so sure as he puts on a reverse chin lock that he really wanted a cover right

00:52:52there.

00:52:52No, I don't think so.

00:52:53I think right now they're using the Russians as a little training exercise.

00:52:57But notice how intelligently Demolition are wrestling.

00:53:00They're staying well within their own corner so that they can make very close tags.

00:53:05They're not allowing themselves to be outmaneuvered territory wise.

00:53:09They're staying on their own top, and they're doing what they do best.

00:53:13Absolutely destroying their opposition.

00:53:17Right now to the arm.

00:53:22As we take a look at Smash.

00:53:26Zuchov trying to get out of this.

00:53:28Smash pounds right on the arm again.

00:53:30Now, into the corner, back first.

00:53:33The foot is up.

00:53:35And not a good move at all from Smash to follow him into the corner.

00:53:40Zuchov comes out nicely with an elbow.

00:53:42And here comes Nikolai Volkov.

00:53:46Double team here.

00:53:47And they are working away on Smash of Demolition.

00:53:52All four men now are in.

00:53:56Well, it did appear then that Demolition made one tiny mistake.

00:53:59And that, of course, was committed by Smash.

00:54:02But now they're getting the upper hand back again.

00:54:05So that mistake wasn't as catastrophic as it might have been.

00:54:09In fact, look at them now, they're completely on top of the ropes.

00:54:13Double team, Volkov being nailed by Axe on the right.

00:54:18Smash working on Zuchov.

00:54:20Well, out goes Axe.

00:54:22And now Smash is unaware that he's in with both of the Bolsheviks.

00:54:26And now it's two on one, and Smash may be in trouble here.

00:54:31No, it's Axe pulling the ropes down, Volkov over the top.

00:54:36And now we see Axe on top, and now they may be going for their favorite move.

00:54:44Here it is.

00:54:47That elbow over the top, covering Lou Corbin, that's it.

00:54:55No doubt about it.

00:55:16What a combination we've got here, the Hammer and the Honky Tonk Man, both former Intercontinental Champions.

00:55:23And Demolition's a big, big team, but I think the Colonel's gonna have the edge here.
