01:28She is friends with people because she likes them for who they are, not for what they're
01:33doing for her.
01:34She's a real girl.
01:35And May brings such a real quirky sort of edge to Bianca.
01:40It's the most perfect fit ever.
01:42I mean, when we were at the table read and she did the first reading, it was like, wow,
01:45that is Bianca's voice.
01:47You know, May brings Bianca to life.
01:50I think Robbie as a human is just amazing and quirky and funny and sweet.
01:55And all of Robbie's nuances as a person sort of come through in Wesley's character, which
01:59I think is great because he's also disproving the common stereotype that the jock is just
02:04the jock and he's just a meathead.
02:05It's like, no, he's funny and he's sensitive and he's worried.
02:08And he's also sort of battling his own stereotype, which is people are like, you're supposed
02:12to be handsome and throw a football.
02:13You're not supposed to be good in school.
02:14You're not supposed to be hanging out with these types of people, but he's fighting that
02:17conflict too.
02:18So I think his sort of sensitivities and sensibilities as a person come through in Wesley
02:22and it's just the perfect fit.
02:24That is great.
02:25I think it's great that, you know, in the same way that May's character is going through
02:29her own journey, you see Wesley, you see Robbie's character going through the same sort of journey.
02:35Bella is so funny because in real life I've never met a girl with a more wry sense of humor.
02:41She's so funny.
02:42She's such a straight shooter.
02:44But she puts on that leather jacket and those stilettos and she gets in there.
02:47Her walk.
02:48She has a strut.
02:49It's awesome.
02:50Yeah.
02:50And she just turns it on and it's really wonderful.
02:53But even she sort of has a quirk that she brings to the character and is not that sort
02:58of one dimensional mean girl, but rather somebody who's definitely in conflict and trying to
03:03figure herself out and is trying to keep a happy face even if it's overwhelming and her
03:07interactions with Robbie and with May in the movie are to die for.
03:11I will say nothing else, but they're pretty classic.
03:16We get along so well.
03:18We do.
03:18It's really nice.
03:19I would say that that's pretty cool that they assembled a group of people who actually
03:22like each other.
03:23Yeah.
03:23I mean, the job is always going to be hard.
03:25The days are always going to be long, but this cast gets along so well.
03:28Amazingly, yeah.
03:29You know, we're all here in Atlanta together.
03:31None of us are from here.
03:32Every day we come to work together.
03:34We eat together.
03:35We go home together.
03:36We see a movie together.
03:37We eat dinner again together.
03:38We talk about the day together.
03:39We go on adventures together.
03:42Ari is a big kid in a great way.
03:44Yeah.
03:45Ari has a very youthful, playful sense about him that I think taps in really well to the
03:49environment of high school.
03:51So he's not very staunch as far as sticking to the script and doing that sort of thing.
03:55You know, he knows that we all were in high school not very long ago and so we sort
04:00of draw on our own experiences and we play around and we improv and we sort of feed off
04:04one another.
04:04And I think he promotes like a really positive creative environment and I think that will definitely
04:08come through in the movie.
04:10Yeah.
04:10It's super fun working with Ari.
04:12I knew like the moment that I had like a director session with him and he was like,
04:16he was like, you know, just do it this way and like, just like say what you want.
04:20I was like, yeah, like time to play, you know, like we show up and we have an idea of
04:25what
04:26we're going to do and it's kind of like, well, come up with something else.
04:30High school is a series of bittersweet moments.
04:34I think the deaf definitely tries to fight for the sweet, but the bitter is still there.
04:38And I think there is inherent humor in the story and there's realism in the story.
04:43I mean, Cody Keplinger wrote a real high school story.
04:46And I think that that is honored in our script, even if we sort of bring a lighter edge to
04:51it.
04:51I think the humor is real and on point.
04:53And I feel pretty certain that our jokes and the humor that we have in this movie will resonate
04:58with a young audience.
05:01It's great to have him back here.
05:03He is such a playful spirit.
05:04And Romney Malco is maybe the coolest, hippest, well-dressed guy on the planet.
05:10So much fun, such a light on set, is always laughing and teasing.
05:14Chris Wilde has the best facial hair in the game.
05:17He is amazing.
05:18He is so funny.
05:19And when you put them all together, it is like an explosive moment.
05:23We have Alice and Janney playing Bianca's mom, Dottie, in the movie.
05:27We're super excited.
05:28We haven't actually shot with her yet.
05:29Not yet.
05:30But in anticipation of when this airs, she's awesome.
05:33Yeah, I'm such a big fan of hers from Juno.
05:36I'm like, just knowing that we'll get to work with her.
05:40I'm beyond ecstatic.
05:47And I'm gonna take care of myself.
05:47Let's watch the sound of him.
05:47The sound of Finn skulle is very inviting to her that I have often recognized.
05:48Amazing,pierd of Connor and Grabby.
05:48Grazie a tutti
