00:56Absolutely, the comics are so evocative, and because the team have spawned from Sergio Vanelli, from the company, it's very true to form, and we were in no doubt at any point as to what world we were inhabiting and who these guys were.
01:17we had such strong visuals, which is an amazing resource, as you say, it's so suggestive.
01:23When I saw the armor with the spikes and the horse and the motorbike, I was like, I'm in.
01:29Yeah, I mean, it's a dream as an actor to get to do such, you know, to have such an amazing visual background to go on.
01:41It's a real dream, these cool characters.
01:43It's so, yeah, so exciting.
01:45I think when I first read the script, what I really loved was this, you know, basis in a real world, and a world that we know, this war-torn country.
02:12And I loved that it starts off as a very gritty war film, really.
02:17It doesn't quite, it starts off with drag now.
02:19But there's two films there, and they're both such polar opposites.
02:25But they sit somehow so neatly together.
02:29Exactly.
02:30I, too, was drawn in by the backdrop to this.
02:34I thought it was very clever.
02:35I was not familiar with Dampier until I was approached to audition for this.
02:40And I just thought in that sort of surreal, heady, very traumatizing world of the, you know, the Balkan conflict that, you know, it was kind of the perfect breeding ground in terms of fantasy for a vampire story.
02:58And so I think they sit paradoxically very well together, the two worlds, and, you know, you'll give the other part legitimacy in a way.
03:08Absolutely, very well said.
03:09No, that's, yeah, your very realistic character is immersed, suddenly, you know, parachuted into an unreal world.
03:16And my character, I feel, is very interested in the real world.
03:24And in a way, we see him right from the beginning in exile.
03:28He's being separated from his, the love of his life, his human partner, and he's not permitted to spend time with his son.
03:38And so he's desperate to get onto the other side and they're desperate to, you know, rout the, the evil vamps from, from their side of the world.
