Il nostro incontro al London Film Festival con i protagonisti del film di Luca Guadagnino.
Trascrizione
00:00Leggo libri, trascrivo musica, faccio il bagno al fiume, esco la sera.
00:05Divertente. Ok, a dopo.
00:30And then it progresses into something a little more complicated and then resentment turns to not resentment,
00:35whatever the opposite of that would be.
00:37And a very passionate love blossoms for him.
00:42How did you work together about the physical intimacy in this movie?
00:47We would spend about ten minutes every day in the morning just making out, just kissing,
00:54just to get all that stuff out of the way and really break the ice.
00:59About the chemistry between you?
01:04Well, there was the gift of just spending a lot of time with each other before the film began.
01:10We had about three or four weeks to hang out and they didn't feel like this need to artificially build
01:17chemistry
01:18by way of asking very vulnerable questions of one another.
01:21Rather it just sprouted more naturally and there was a genuine connection to it.
01:25I think we appreciated each other as human beings and became good friends.
01:28So, I didn't feel too forced.
01:31In many scenes, this movie, Elio and Olivier seem to hide ourselves from the world.
01:41What do you think about this fear of the other in this society that's still alive in some day?
01:52I almost don't know how to answer that because it's actually one of my favorite parts of the film
01:57that if there is a push and pull, it doesn't relate to any sort of societal prejudice
02:03but rather, you know, Elio's just figuring himself out, figuring out what he's feeling.
02:09So, if there is a game of masks, it's interpersonal, it's not as it relates to a bigger society or
02:17some grand scheme.
02:19For RP, what did you think the first time you read the script?
02:24I thought it was an incredibly beautiful, raw, honest, subtle and layered depiction of two human beings falling in love.
02:35And I can't remember reading any scripts like that in the last long time.
02:41You made the Mine movie and this one. Do you like working with the Italian directors?
02:48Yeah, yeah. I mean, let's be honest, if I'm working with a director, it means I have a job.
02:52So, I'm happy to work with directors from anywhere.
02:54And one memory about Italy and something?
03:01Oh, so, one of my favorite... someone asked me what my favorite memory from the movie was
03:05and I was embarrassed to say that it wasn't actually from the movie.
03:08There's a restaurant called Via Vai in a little town called Bolzoni.
03:13This restaurant's getting so much good press.
03:14Yeah, oh yeah. Chef Stefano, what's up?
03:17There's a little restaurant called Via Vai in Bolzoni and I went there and sat down at 2 o'clock
03:23in the afternoon
03:23and started to have lunch and didn't leave the restaurant until probably 3 o'clock in the morning.
03:29And it was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life.
03:34What are the most important things?
03:37Do you know what they are?
03:38You don't like that, but you was so nestled in a category.
03:38I well, Jamila Jamie Howard.
03:39You can find it that it was okay.
03:39Let's see.
03:39I'm Perhaps gonna give that a week.
03:40I guess if you have in my interpretation in the tea tree-to-wreck.
03:42After all, you know what it is,
03:42the trainComics is you.
03:42The Klip Fair was just like getting紅 CarnegieN on the concrete.
03:44And even after all, you knew you thought I was incredibly hot.
