00:05Just 30 percent of respondents had a positive view of Democrats. 52 percent had a negative view
00:10for an overall net rating of minus 22. Please don't ask me to explain poll math, but to put
00:17that minus 22 into context, the same figure was minus 12 for President Trump, minus 14 for the
00:23Republican Party, and minus 18 for ICE. Not good news for the left. And frankly, with everyone in
00:30the red, it appears Americans are overwhelmingly frustrated right now. The only person, place,
00:36or thing less popular than Democrats? Iran. It's Iran. The ongoing partial government shutdown
00:41impacting the Department of Homeland Security prompted by the Democrats probably isn't helping
00:45them right about now. Now isn't a great time to withhold funding for national security. ABC News
00:50is reporting that Iran has sent out a possible, quote, operational trigger to activate sleeper
00:56assets around the globe in response to the war with the U.S. and Israel. The coded signal was
01:01reportedly given after the death of Ayatollah Ali Kemeni and prompted a federal alert to be sent
01:06to U.S. law enforcement agencies. With that kind of potential threat, I imagine it would be a good
01:10time to make sure those areas of the DHS that are currently strained by the shutdown get back to work
01:15with paychecks.
