00:00I don't want to get too much into your guys' time because it's a very busy day.
00:03What's the question of the day?
00:05What's a minor inconvenience that you hate the most?
00:08Because I think Reggie and I are both in this same boat.
00:12Time changes.
00:13I prefer we just stay in daylight savings time.
00:16But time changes.
00:17And, oh, by the way, the elevators in our building are out.
00:20Yeah.
00:22You know what?
00:22I was watching a documentary series a while back about it was an Antarctic explorer.
00:27And they, you know, one of the things that happens when they're doing these Arctic and Antarctic expeditions is the
00:34ice is a little shaky.
00:35So they'll have to, like, pull their sleds of gear a mile ahead and then go back and get the
00:41rest of the gear because they have to lighten the load on the sled.
00:45So they'll, like, pull for a mile, walk back, get the rest of their gear, and then keep going.
00:50And the entire time I'm watching this and I'm marveling at, wow, the persistence, the patience, all of that.
00:56But I'll be damned if I miss my opportunity to hit skip intro on the next episode.
01:02It's the worst thing that's ever happened to anybody ever.
01:05I can't believe, ah, I can't skip intro.
01:08I've got to watch the whole intro.
01:10Hey, I'll give you a minor inconvenience just in doing this.
01:13You're listening to KIOTAM, KIOTFMHD2 Houston and Odyssey Sports Station.
01:19And speaking of minor inconveniences, if I will, before I give you another real-life example, I would say covering
01:25up the bushes when it freezes.
01:27Oh, that's good.
01:28Dude, I just, I mean, not to, like, shy away from the manly work, but, you know, that's left on
01:34me.
01:34Like, I've got to figure that out.
01:36And it's just inconvenient, trying to get the stakes down, trying to make sure that every important piece of shrub
01:42or bush is covered, and to do it only for a couple of days or maybe even in some cases
01:48all at work for one night, definitely a minor inconvenience.
01:52And now, obviously, I'm not a guy that's got to shovel snow, but I don't want to cover them damn
01:56bushes either, especially since I rent and they ain't even my bushes.
01:59But I don't want to mess up the landlord's bushes.
02:02I'm like, man, this ain't even my stuff.
02:04You're a better man than me, because that's somebody else's problem?
02:08I'm leaning on that one, man.
02:10Oh, man, somebody else dealing with that?
02:11But the landlord never fails.
02:14They'll send you that email, hey, don't forget to cover up our bushes.
02:17So it's not like you can act like, yo, I didn't.
02:19I'm just an unknowing renter.
02:22I had no idea.
02:23No, you know what time it is.
02:24I hate to change oil light so much.
02:26I hate to change oil light.
02:27I still got 1,500 miles, man.
02:30I know I still got 1,500 miles, because I can check how the oil's doing on my truck.
02:33Yeah, yeah, I'm with you there.
02:35I had to air a tire on my way from Dallas, you know, in the rain.
02:40And it's like, you know, we're just airing a tire.
02:42This isn't like hard labor, but it's a minor inconvenience that I got to make sure that I don't have
02:47no flat in this four-hour drive from Dallas to Houston.
02:50So, yeah, I don't know.
02:54I've put hangnails and paper cuts up there, too.
02:58Just nothing turns me into a wimp faster than a paper cut.
03:01Like, I can't function.
03:04I just can't think about it.
03:05I'm just anticipating that next moment when I go to grab something.
03:08They're the worst.
03:09I'm going to feel some minor pain in my finger.
03:11Yes.
03:11Yeah.
03:12Well, just a little bit over a week ago, I had a tooth pulled, and now I'm chewing everything on
03:15one side of my mouth.
03:17That's a minor inconvenience.
03:18I don't really love that.
03:19I got flossing on my list.
03:20Man.
03:21Yeah, but the thing that keeps me coming back to flossing in a similar vein as, like, that really good
03:26golf shot that you hit, there was one time I went to the dentist.
03:29And my dentist, I thought she was going to cry.
03:31She was like, your teeth are so beautiful.
03:32I was like, all right, I got to stick on this.
03:34Yeah.
03:34Because, I mean, you know what the typical person's dentist experience is, is you know you need to floss, right?
03:40Like, being scolded.
03:41Or are you brushing twice a day?
03:42Yeah.
03:43So, to go from being scolded to, like, being praised, I was like, oh, yeah, we got to make sure
03:48that this flossing keeps going, man.
03:49Yeah, man.
03:50No doubt about it.
03:51All right, so I'm interested to hear about that 1040 question of the day, the minor inconveniences of life in
03:57light of the elevators here being down.
04:00So, it might take me 20 minutes to get from this studio to my car.
04:04What was the other one that was the minor inconvenience?
04:07Daylight saving time.
04:08Daylight saving time.
04:09Yeah, man.
04:10Fortunately, it happened on a Sunday, and I was able to just take that extra hour of sleep, and nobody
04:15said anything.
04:16So, it worked out for me.
