00:00At the height of workplace fear is likely being laid off, especially given close to 47% of
00:06employed Americans admit they are not prepared for one occurring. Forbes reports there have
00:11been almost 60,000 layoffs in the tech industry alone since the start of the new year. An Insight
00:17global survey suggests the bull may be landing in the employer's court, with 9 out of 10 managers
00:24in the U.S. saying they would likely lay off employees in the event of a recession. If this
00:29happens to you, remember you are not alone. It is entirely okay to be upset, and you are allowed to
00:36indulge in your feelings. However, Forbes reminds you to not overindulge and keep moving forward.
00:43Take action and ask for help. There are plenty of online community and support groups, including
00:48online therapy sessions available if required. If you can, take time to reflect, upskill, and look
00:55for ways to invest in yourself. Try updating your resume and networking rather than Netflix and chilling.
