00:21Offensive tackle Trent Brown and the Houston Texans reached an agreement today
00:24on a one-year extension worth up to $7 million.

00:32Is $7 million, is that a price where we think they're done at right tackle

00:41He was a minimum salary guy last year.
00:43I mean, this is like a 400% raise he's getting right now.

00:51I would expect they envision him in the exact same role,
00:54which is potential swing tackle.
00:55Maybe he can start, but you just can't rely on him.
00:59In the last 11 years, he's only had three seasons where he's played a full season.

01:07I think he was valuable for how they could use him,
01:10but then also the very last game of the season or the postseason that mattered the most,
01:14he couldn't play.

01:15So, I'm happy with that.
01:18I think that's part of getting six or seven offensive linemen that you feel good about,
01:22but that doesn't mean they're done at right tackle.
01:24You're good with the price tag?

01:28Yeah, I think he was minimum last year because he was a gigantic man coming off of patellar tendon surgery.

01:33And I think him being familiar with the system, I think they liked what he did as a leader.

01:39Even only playing seven or eight games, what he brought to the locker room
01:42and what he did in those seven and eight games is probably deserving of a big raise

01:50but I'm not comfortable with him being the only guy that you feel comfortable about playing right tackle
01:55because you can't realistically expect him to last the whole season.
