Rob and Jeremy know Maxx Crosby would absolutely help the Ravens, but is he worth the cost it would take to get him out of Vegas? Absolutely not!

00:00I don't want to trade for Max Crosby.
00:02Why, do you think the asking price is too much,
00:04or you just don't want to vet pass rusher,
00:07there's other things you'd like to, reasoning why,
00:09or you just think maybe Max Crosby's star is fading?
00:11I think a little bit of everything you just said.
00:14Okay.
00:14The price is really high.
00:17I think he's still a good football player,
00:18had 10 sacks this past year.
00:22I don't know if it starts fading.
00:23I mean, he had a bad year in 24 because he was hurt,
00:27not because he's not productive.
00:29Well, he was also yelling at the team about,
00:32hey, I'm ready to play, but they were tanking.
00:35So has that happened to it?
00:37Like, who knows if he would add it to a sack total.
00:39I like him.
00:40He only missed two games.
00:42The last two, right?
00:43Yep, he had 10 sacks.
00:46The thing always comes down for me
00:48when we're talking about these types of players.
00:49I would tell you if I didn't like a player,
00:50if I thought, hey, this guy's hitting the wall, whatever.
00:53I like Max Crosby a lot.
00:55It all comes down to the asking price, right?
00:57You know, everybody was saying,
00:58I'd trade a first-round pick for him.
01:00And again, that's why I'm glad people aren't the GM
01:03because I don't think people understand
01:05how valuable picks are.
01:07Like, we've seen it.
01:08I mean, David Montgomery just went for a fifth-round pick,
01:10and granted, it's a running back,
01:11so I know it's not what Pete, you know.
01:13But go look at the touchdowns he's had
01:14and what he's done for that Lions team.
01:16I mean, Sonic and Knuckles, right?
01:19That's what they were talking about with those two guys.
01:20You've got your speed and your power.
01:23And now that part of it's gone.
01:25They'll find somebody to replace him.
01:26I'm sure they'll be just fine.
01:27But, like, again, when it comes down to it,
01:30some of the trades that go down,
01:32you're like, that guy went for a fifth?
01:33You remember when Randy Moss was traded
01:34at the end of his career?
01:35It was the fifth, wasn't it?
01:37And then he just broke the touchdown record the next year
01:39because everybody thought he was done with the Raiders?
01:40Yeah, because you had Tui Asasopo throw it to you.
01:42Yes.
01:44You know who it was?
01:45Tui Asasopo?
01:45It was a handful of those guys.
01:46There was another...
01:47It wasn't just Tui Asasopo.
01:49There was another turd there.
01:53It wasn't...
01:54I brought up Bubby Bristow before.
01:55It was a player like that, like an old vet that...
01:57Bubby Bristow was an upgrade to the guys he had thrown to him.
02:01Bubby Bristow at least...
02:02Didn't Bubby Bristow win some games in the...
02:04Kerry Collins was the guy who was throwing to him as well?
02:06Yeah.
02:08At the end of his career.
02:08I was about to say that.
02:09It wasn't the New York Giants, Kerry Collins.
02:11That was the drinking Kerry Collins, with all due respect.
02:15That was kind of always Kerry Collins.
02:17Well...
02:18When Kerry Collins was in Carolina with the Panthers.
02:20They would talk about how much that guy could drink.
02:22Oh, yeah.
02:23I knew some police that...
02:24Ran into him?
02:27They'd tell him to get a cab home.
02:28Yeah.
02:29Yeah.
02:314-10-5-8-3-10-5-7 is the number.
02:33What would you give up for Max Crosby?
02:36I mean, I think a mid-round pick.
02:37Like a third.
02:38Maybe...
02:38I think it's probably going to have to be multiple picks.
02:40Maybe it's a player and a pick.
02:41So you're like me.
02:43I don't think they would give him to us for what I would give them.
02:47Yeah.
02:47If they're asking for a first...
02:49Like, if they're asking for a second and that's all they're asking for, I think you have to
02:52look at yourself and say, are we a Max Crosby away from winning this whole thing?
02:55And I don't think they're giving him up for a second.
02:57I think he's at 29 years old, coming off a 10-sack season.
03:03In fact, he won't be 29 until August.
03:06Coming off a 10-sack season.
03:08See, I think you said they were tanking, and that's the reason why they didn't play him.
03:13I think that's part of it, but I also think they want to make him healthy, make sure he's
03:17healthy for the trade.
03:19Maybe, but again, like at the end of the year, that cat was doing...
03:22He was on a trampoline and playing basketball, saying, you guys are telling me my knee's
03:26not okay to play football.
03:28Here I am doing...
03:30One of the things you wouldn't expect a guy to be able to do is jump up and down on
03:34a
03:34damn trampoline with it if he's in pain.
03:36And he was out there recording himself saying, look, the Raiders are lying to everyone.
03:40They should have been fine for that.
03:41Yeah, they should lose draft picks for that.
03:43I'm sorry.
03:44Like, this is...
03:45Teams are going to tank, and they're going to try to do things, but if a player's healthy
03:48and he wants to play, you play him.
03:52It's like, I mean, I laugh my ass off when people are trying to convince me.
03:55It's like, oh, Jaron Jackson Jr. got traded to Utah.
03:57And then they said, once they did their physical on him, oh, yeah, he got to have surgery.
04:03Then why'd you trade for him?
04:04If he had to...
04:05You know what I mean?
04:05Like, they did this on purpose.
04:07They wanted to...
04:07Who got hurt on a flight there?
04:09That was Jaron Jackson Jr.
04:10It was Jaron Jackson Jr.
04:10Yeah.
04:11He could have played the rest of the season.
04:13They said he was going to need surgery either way.
04:15So what's the difference if he has that surgery in the offseason or if he has it now?
04:19Because either way, he's ready for next year.
04:21Right.
04:22Yeah.
04:24Tanking, man.
04:24You know how it works.
04:25But that's the thing that gets me.
04:27I get tired of the NBA getting called out all the time for tanking.
04:31Why do we only call them out for tanking?
04:33Because everybody else does it.
04:34It's so obvious when they're doing it.
04:36I just...
04:37It's obvious when the NFL does it.
04:38You just said you had a superstar pass rusher on a trampoline.
04:41But I think it's more games.
04:42Like, it's every night.
04:43You're watching.
04:43You're going, okay, why isn't he playing?
04:45I got you.
04:45Why are you benching that guy in the fourth quarter?
04:47But everybody does it.
04:48Baseball does it.
04:48They all do it.
04:49They all tank.
04:50And to say, we're going to stop them from tanking, how?
04:53You're never going to stop anybody from tanking.
04:54So, the reason I think it might keep...
04:57Man, I don't know.
04:58Like, this...
04:58So, Micah Parsons went for two future first-round picks and a top defensive star.
05:03Parsons younger.
05:04But how much younger than Max Crosby?
05:06You know, like, again, you're...
05:08And that's why I said I don't want Max Crosby because I don't think he's going to be let go
05:11for what I'm willing to let go of.
05:14Yeah.
05:15Crosby's under contract through 2029 with a base salary of 30 mil.
05:18Let me just say this.
05:19I'm not giving you a first-round draft pick for Max Crosby.
05:22I'm not either.
05:23I'm not.
05:24That's why I don't want him.
05:25That's why you're picking right now.
05:27Exactly.
05:27That's why I don't want him.
05:28It's not his ability.
05:30It's the asking price.
05:32I don't think anybody, including Micah Parsons, is worth first-round draft picks.
05:38I don't.
05:39How much better are the Cowboys going to be for those draft picks?
05:45I mean, a lot better.
05:46You think those draft picks make the difference?
05:47Well, again, like you're trading a premier pass rusher.
05:50Those are hard to find.
05:52How much better are the Packers because they got Micah Parsons and got away from, let those
05:59draft picks go?
05:59How much better were they?
06:01He did his job, but how much better were they?
06:03Yeah.
06:03I mean, he also got hurt, too.
06:04Exactly.
06:05So, too many things can happen, and now I'm out of draft picks.
06:07So, let me give you hypothetical trades here.
06:10Bears trade.
06:11DJ Moore, 2026 first-round pick, 2027 third-round pick.
06:15Get Crosby.
06:16Ain't no help.
06:17I ain't giving that up.
06:18Ain't no way.
06:18Raiders get George Pickens, first-round pick, number 20 overall for Max Crosby, and a second-round pick.
06:25I don't see that.
06:26How about this?
06:27The Bucs, Chris Godwin Jr., first-round pick, and a second-round pick.
06:31I just couldn't see it.
06:33And, again, they're looking at the Chargers if they make a move.
06:35Second-round pick, sixth-round pick, fifth-round pick to get Crosby.
06:39See, that's where I think I'd look at that, and I would consider that.
06:43I'm just not giving up a first for him at this point.
06:46Five years, potential five years of cheap talent.
06:48You're drafting 14th, which means you're going to find somebody valuable.
06:51When's the last time you've missed in the teens, right?
06:55Think about some of the guys they've got in that same area with Kyle Hamilton.
06:58You want to go Haloti Nada.
06:59I mean, just, they found some gems, so I'm not giving up this year's first-round pick.
07:04Now, the one caveat here, they want a future first-rounder, and I think he sets me up, and I
07:09add this and that.
07:10All of a sudden, I may be going, okay, I'm listening to you.
07:14Well, that's the team that might take a future first-rounder because they have the number one overall pick.
07:18So they might consider that.
07:20They might take maybe, so would you give them a three this year and a one next year?
07:25I don't know.
07:26It's a lot of pick, man.
07:27That's a lot of picks.
07:29And for people that are going to go, oh, my God, why are you, like, again, look at what this
07:32team does and how they draft.
07:35Like, they've had success.
07:36They're not usually out paying guys in free agency and bringing in big-time free agents.
07:41Who's the biggest free agent they've ever brought in?
07:43And don't give me the trades that happened either.
07:45I mean, D-Hop's one of the biggest names.
07:47And by the way, you know, he's going to be a casualty there at the end of his career.
07:53But you weren't paying a guy.
07:56Earl Thomas was a free agent, right?
07:57Six years, 120 mil.
07:58Yeah.
07:59Earl Thomas.
07:59He didn't pan out.
08:00No, his brother caused so many problems.
08:03Two guys sleeping in the same bed or whatever.
08:05Anyway, here are all those weird stories.
08:09But no, again, like.
08:09I'm sleeping in my bed.
08:10That's my brother.
08:13Max Crosby.
08:14I think the guy's a difference maker.
08:15And, again, I'm glad I don't have to make this decision.
08:17But I think I would be like the Ravens and I would covet draft picks.
