Transcript
00:00G'day, I'm Amanda Pendergast. We sell Matunga Trust cattle here today. We've got 150 mixed-sex Hereford weaner calves.
00:11Hello, I'm Tim Misson. I'm a buyer and fattener of mainly heifers from Denison.
00:18I also work for Wellington Real Estate selling rural sales.
00:23And what appealed to me with these animals were they were nice and quiet, they were well presented.
00:29The draft was very even and I think they won't take very long to turn around with the operation that
00:36I run.
00:37So I'm very happy with them and hopefully we can get them home nice and ready to jump away.
00:45Look, I think prices overall are firm but you would expect that.
00:48I mean there's been a lot of rain around and I think prices overall will remain firm.
00:54So, well-bred stuff. I think I'm very happy with the price that I paid.
01:01Well, they're definitely up from last year so we're very happy.
01:04Times have been a little bit tough with the drought that we've sort of been in after winter so we're
01:08pretty happy with the prices.
01:10They've gone up from last year. The cattle are probably a little bit lighter from last year but, yeah, absolutely
01:16happy with what we got today.
01:18This rain that we've just had has filled a few dams but we need a little bit more so, fingers
01:22crossed.
