00:47AI human generator, make me a bit younger.
00:56Make me a bit older, make Big Show my coat, loading.
01:14Very, very good.
01:17Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to my Big Show!
01:30Where, of course, we will have big stars, big laughs, and even bigger surprises.
01:41CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:45You're very lucky to come to this series, because I look fabulous, don't I?
01:51I mean, I'm half the size.
01:54Have you noticed how much weight I've lost?
01:56I mean, would you say...
01:57Look at this, look at my watch.
02:00Look at the way it's hanging off me.
02:02I'm half the person.
02:03I've gone too far.
02:04I've gone too far.
02:06I'm that person.
02:07When people go, I wouldn't lose any more.
02:10I think I thought those people were jealous, but I don't know.
02:12I think, I don't know what's happened.
02:14Basically, I did do a bit of cheating.
02:15I did, I did three weeks.
02:17I did three weeks of...
02:18You know that...
02:20It's extraordinary.
02:21It's extraordinary.
02:21I don't...
02:22It's called the fat jab.
02:23Basically, people are scared of it, because it's a needle,
02:25but you don't feel it.
02:26Well, you don't, because you're fat.
02:28Basically...
02:30By the time...
02:30When you feel it, you know you're done.
02:32You're like, okay, I'm ready.
02:33It's hit the bone.
02:34It's hit the bone.
02:38I went on it because my driver, he was on it,
02:41and he lost, like, quite a lot of weight very quickly.
02:45He didn't know he was on it.
02:47I was leaving it under his seat.
02:48He was like...
02:53So, he lost a lot of weight.
02:55So, yeah, look at the size of me.
02:56I'm a tiny person, but at least I look good with the weight loss.
03:00Because some people lose loads of weight and they don't look better
03:02and you don't know what to say to them.
03:05LAUGHTER
03:05You know what I mean?
03:06It's like some people have a massive nose,
03:07but you haven't noticed it because their cheeks are up here.
03:10LAUGHTER
03:10When the cheeks go in, it's like, where did that come from?
03:13LAUGHTER
03:15Also, this is true, my face has become so thin
03:18that Face ID isn't working on my phone.
03:22I can't get on my banking app on my...
03:24Because it's got... I can't get on it.
03:26LAUGHTER
03:26I've had to do this...
03:28It just looks at me.
03:29He goes, who are you?
03:30And so, I have to do this whole...
03:31I have to do the...
03:33LAUGHTER
03:34LAUGHTER
03:37And then it unlocks my phone.
03:38That's literally what's happening.
03:40And I've got a terrible thing with my dog.
03:42I feel bad about this.
03:43I don't think my dog recognises me anymore.
03:45He keeps looking at me...
03:47I know, he doesn't...
03:48He just looks at me, like, really, like...
03:49Who is...
03:50Who is that guy?
03:51So, I lost my dog in the park because of this.
03:55So, I was...
03:56He's a very little, fluffy dog.
03:58And he's very lazy.
03:59So, he walks behind me.
04:01And I always have to check that he's there
04:02because he's so lazy and slow.
04:05So, this is basically me going for walks.
04:06I have to keep looking.
04:07This is the way I walk in the park, OK?
04:10So, I'm walking along and I turn around.
04:12And my dog is missing.
04:13He's not there.
04:13And we searched for him for quite a while.
04:15But we did...
04:16We did find him walking down another path
04:20following a fat Chinese man.
04:25He was obviously...
04:29He was obviously peeing.
04:32Then he looked up, saw this fat Chinese bloke,
04:34and went, oh, there you are.
04:36And just followed him.
04:37And I was calling after him.
04:39He kept looking at me going,
04:40oh, my God, it's that skinny guy.
04:42Michael!
04:42Michael!
04:43I tried after him with this.
04:45It's me!
04:46It's me!
04:52It's me!
04:53Ladies and gentlemen,
04:54who would like to play my favourite game
04:56in the whole wide world?
04:57Centrewall!
05:03Let's find out who is in our Centrewall box tonight.
05:08Well, she was in one of the biggest girl groups in the world.
05:11Now she is a Brit Award-winning solo sensation.
05:16She's absolutely smashing it!
05:18It is the amazing Jade!
05:25Are you one-name there?
05:28Yeah.
05:28It's great to be one-name.
05:30I feel like my second name is, like,
05:32nobody ever spells it or says it properly, so...
05:35And also, I feel like the big pop girlies have, like, one name.
05:38Do you know what I mean?
05:39Kylie.
05:40Kylie.
05:40Jonah.
05:41Cher.
05:42Cheryl.
05:43Adele.
05:44Adele.
05:44Fun, fun, fun.
05:46Who are you here with?
05:47I'm here with me, Mum, Norma.
05:49Say hi to Mum!
05:50Norma!
05:53And George and my boyfriend.
05:55Oh!
05:55Yes, yeah.
05:56That's a good name.
05:59How are you, George?
06:00I'm all right.
06:01Now, this has been going on for quite a while.
06:04Yes, like...
06:04I'm putting the pressure on.
06:05Is Mum putting the pressure on?
06:07What's going on?
06:08Actually, no, to be fair, you haven't put any pressure on, have you?
06:11We've been together just over five years now.
06:14Oh, that's lovely.
06:15Yeah.
06:15Yes.
06:16Woo!
06:18It's proper.
06:19It's proper.
06:20OK, well, listen, how do you feel about the prospect
06:22of handing over your phone?
06:24I'm quite nervous about it.
06:26Yeah.
06:26I will say I'm quite well-known for not replying to people.
06:30Oh!
06:30So, I feel like...
06:31Oh.
06:32..people might respond being annoyed that I never reply.
06:35But you're very busy, so there's some...
06:37Very busy, easily distracted.
06:39I think, on average, most of my friends and family will know
06:42I'll respond in, like, ten days to two months.
06:46LAUGHTER
06:48Ten days to two months.
06:49So, do you think they're going to get their own back on you
06:51and you're not going to get any replies?
06:53I hope not.
06:53That was my biggest concern with doing this.
06:56I'll be real, there's a strong chance there'll be no replies.
06:58So, we're going to have to last...
06:59This is going to have to last over two series.
07:01I know.
07:01You may remember in series nine, I sent a text on Jade's phone.
07:08Well, we've just had our first reply, so...
07:11LAUGHTER
07:11OK.
07:12Well, the sooner we get this text out, the better.
07:15Yes.
07:15If you would like to place your phone in this cushion...
07:18..you can just pop it in.
07:19Oh!
07:20There you go.
07:20OK, here we go!
07:22CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
07:29It's not fair.
07:32It's not fair.
07:34I am now in possession of Jade's mobile phone.
07:41Here it is.
07:42So, I'm going to plug it in here and then it's going to pop up.
07:45So, here we have your phone.
07:47So, there's...
07:48What have we got here?
07:49What's the...
07:49Oh, there's Pinterest.
07:50Pinterest.
07:51Yeah.
07:52Shall we go...
07:52Maybe just have a little more noise?
07:54If you want.
07:55Oh, my God.
07:57So, what have we got here?
07:58Oh!
07:58Oh!
07:59And let's just scroll up there cos there's...
08:02LAUGHTER
08:08CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
08:08CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
08:10CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
08:11Oh, it's getting hot!
08:13CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
08:17That's so weird that there's a wedding folder on there,
08:20even though...
08:21LAUGHTER
08:21I haven't been proposed to.
08:23LAUGHTER
08:25That's just in case.
08:26I feel like...
08:27Does any of the women have that on their...
08:28LAUGHTER
08:30Just in case?
08:31Just in case it ever happens.
08:33Yes.
08:33Oh, well, it's on your mind a bit.
08:35Oh, my God.
08:35And I say a bit, I'm still scrolling.
08:38LAUGHTER
08:39LAUGHTER
08:41Michael, I think you can step out of this one, boss.
08:43LAUGHTER
08:44OK.
08:45I'm trying to.
08:46I'm just...
08:46These are nice dresses, though, to be fair.
08:48They are.
08:49It's just, you know...
08:50LAUGHTER
08:50OK, well, listen, I must get out of here.
08:52I'm just trying to...
08:53It would just be nice to get a sense of it ending.
08:57LAUGHTER
08:58Oh, my God.
09:02Oh, my God.
09:07Oh, my God.
09:09Oh, my God.
09:10Jordan, get out of there.
09:11Jordan, get out of there.
09:14We've got a car waiting.
09:15We can help you.
09:18So, erm...
09:19OK, what's rate my roast?
09:21I love...
09:22I love a roast dinner, basically.
09:24Right.
09:24I love Sunday roast.
09:25It's my favourite meal.
09:27OK.
09:27It's actually quite sad because I think they've discontinued the app.
09:30Oh, right.
09:31You were their only...
09:32I was their only member.
09:34And basically...
09:35What was it?
09:35You went on there and people would put a picture of the roast
09:38and you'd rate it.
09:39Do you have any photos of your roasts?
09:41I mean...
09:42Please, please don't go on photos.
09:44I've got a...
09:45If there's any way to guarantee my next move...
09:49No, no, no!
09:50..is to start it with, please...
09:54I do have a Sunday roast album...
09:57What?
09:58..on my photos.
10:00Photos.
10:01Is this it?
10:02Oh, this is...
10:04Oh, yeah.
10:04That's my...
10:05Sunday roast.
10:06I've seen it.
10:06There.
10:09These are your pictures.
10:11These are roast dinners that I'm proud of.
10:13Well, I mean, also...
10:14Wait, you shoot them from a drone?
10:16LAUGHTER
10:18It's just that they really are my pride and joy.
10:21Oh, that's very sweet.
10:23Jadie!
10:24Wait, these are...
10:25What are these?
10:25That's me dad's.
10:26That's a screenshot.
10:28You screenshot each other's...
10:29I screenshot me dad's messages because he asks every week
10:32if I'm having a roast dinner and I just find it quite awesome.
10:34And you put them in the roast album?
10:36Yeah!
10:37That's so sweet!
10:39Have you got chicken breast with new potatoes and broccoli and gravy on top?
10:44Sounds lovely.
10:46LAUGHTER
10:46So, tell me about when you were a kid and Sunday roast and why this means...
10:50I think it's...
10:51I don't know if it is, like, a proper northern thing, but, like,
10:54for me, growing up roasting, I was, like, the best of me all.
10:58Yeah.
10:58When I moved to London...
10:59Yeah.
11:00..I was 18, and one of the reasons why I felt lonely was
11:03because I couldn't find a decent roast dinner anywhere.
11:05Oh.
11:06I'd, like, go to pub by meself and the gravy was really thin
11:09and I'd get really upset about it because...
11:12LAUGHTER
11:12That's true, the gravy gets thinner.
11:14The more south you go, the thinner the...
11:16If the gravy gets so watery and thin...
11:18What's wrong with us?
11:19I can't believe we're talking about roasts.
11:21LAUGHTER
11:22This is my every day.
11:23Every day I talk to Jade about roasts.
11:26I...
11:26Well, the good news is, rate my roast might go back into business.
11:30LAUGHTER
11:31I'd love it to, honestly.
11:33OK.
11:34So, this is our sent to all texts.
11:36Oh, OK.
11:37We're doing it.
11:38We thought it might be quite fun...
11:40Yeah.
11:40..to send a text to everyone on your phone asking them
11:43to send us a video.
11:44OK.
11:45OK.
11:46That sounds great.
11:47That's a big ask.
11:47So, it's quite simple.
11:49Yeah.
11:50How would you start a text?
11:51I'd say, like...
11:52Hi...
11:53Hi, hon.
11:54OK.
11:54Hi, hon.
11:56Sorry, it's been a while.
11:58LAUGHTER
11:59Yeah, maybe.
12:01Let's go with miss you.
12:02Miss you, yeah, um...
12:04Hi, hon, miss you.
12:05And I usually do, like, a pink heart.
12:07It should be a new recent...
12:09Yeah, the pink one.
12:10That's a bit of me.
12:11And that's a really nice start.
12:12I think that's nice.
12:13OK.
12:15Could you help...
12:18I'm going with us as a sort of Geordie thing.
12:20Yeah, I would say that, yeah.
12:21Could you help us out?
12:22Could you help us, yeah.
12:23Yeah.
12:23Because I love that.
12:24That's a Geordie thing.
12:25Yeah.
12:25Even though it's one person.
12:27Yeah.
12:28Even though nowhere else in the world would anybody say,
12:31help us.
12:32No.
12:32Because, you know, if you're in distress and it's just you,
12:34and you go, help us, people are going to be like,
12:36OK, I've saved you.
12:37Where are the others?
12:39Yeah.
12:40Thanks for helping us.
12:41And it's like, I don't believe I have help more than you.
12:44I've never thought of it.
12:45I'm just used to saying it.
12:46It's just...
12:47It's at 999 calls in Newcastle.
12:49Help us!
12:50Help us!
12:50And it's like, how many more people are in there?
12:52No, it's just us.
12:56Um, I'm editing my new music video.
13:02Whoa.
13:02Yeah?
13:03Tonight.
13:04And I've had a crazy idea.
13:08I'd maybe do, like, a crazy face.
13:10Yeah, crazy face.
13:11That should be in my recents.
13:12Where the tongue's out and they're all like,
13:13Ooh, cookie!
13:16Oh, it's not there.
13:16I haven't used it recently.
13:18You know the one?
13:19Right.
13:20Yeah.
13:20That one?
13:21Yeah.
13:22That's a great one.
13:23That's one of my faves.
13:24Oh, I've had a crazy idea.
13:33You trying to get the last bit of gravy off your chin?
13:35LAUGHTER
13:38Dad!
13:39Look at me!
13:40I'm trying to get the last bit of gravy!
13:42LAUGHTER
13:44OK, I've had a crazy idea.
13:46I need you...
13:49..to send me...
13:50..a video...
13:53..of you...
13:54Here we go.
13:55Dancing.
13:57Right...
13:58..now.
13:58Please.
13:59All right?
14:00Praying? Praying emoji?
14:01Yes.
14:02Yeah, yeah.
14:02Why not?
14:03The track?
14:04The track?
14:05Is that what you'd say?
14:06The track?
14:07The track?
14:08Oh, the song.
14:09OK.
14:15The song is called...
14:17Oh, you'll like this.
14:18It's called Opposites.
14:20Does that sound like a good new song for you?
14:22Um...
14:23Sure.
14:24LAUGHTER
14:25It's called Opposites, right?
14:28Obvs.
14:29I would say obvs, yeah.
14:30Yeah.
14:31Now, things are going to take a little bit of a turn here.
14:34Yeah.
14:34Obvs.
14:35I look...
14:37..hot...
14:40..sexy...
14:41..and...
14:42..super cool.
14:43This is you in the video.
14:44OK.
14:45And we want to feature...
14:48..people...
14:49..who...
14:50..are...
14:51..the...
14:52..exact...
14:56No, you're not.
14:58Yes.
14:59No, you're not.
15:02Who are the exact opposite.
15:05OK?
15:07You'd be perfect.
15:08LAUGHTER
15:13That's great.
15:15It's super simple.
15:17Yeah.
15:17Just go...
15:20..crazy.
15:21Now, should we go freestyle?
15:23Would you go freestyle?
15:24Yeah, just freestyle or vibe.
15:26Oh, I love that.
15:29Freestyle a vibe.
15:30Or...
15:31Or vibe.
15:32All right.
15:33Sorry.
15:36Literally, when you said it, I was like,
15:38Oh, that's cool.
15:39I'm going to use that in my life.
15:41LAUGHTER
15:41Michael, that's good.
15:42You should use that.
15:43Freestyle a vibe?
15:43Yeah.
15:44Freestyle or vibe?
15:45I think so.
15:47Or vibe.
15:47OK.
15:48So, we're going to send some music.
15:50What?
15:51So, how would you...
15:51How would you sign...
15:53Oh, the music.
15:54From the new album.
15:57LAUGHTER
15:58The music.
15:59It's called Opposites.
16:00It's your new song.
16:01OK.
16:02It's just a beat.
16:03Do you want to hear it?
16:04What?
16:05What is going on?
16:07No, we just made it up.
16:08No, what is this?
16:09What's the beat?
16:10Have you got something?
16:11Yeah, we've just got...
16:11It's not yours.
16:13Just...
16:14It's just yours.
16:14I love it.
16:15You're sending this to the artist.
16:16I think the beat's good.
16:17It's mainly...
16:19It's like a recorder, like me on the record.
16:22LAUGHTER
16:24It's only a little section.
16:25All right, fine.
16:26Let's have a listen.
16:30Oh.
16:31She likes it.
16:33LAUGHTER
16:34It's bang.
16:35What?
16:41APPLAUSE
16:45It's all right.
16:46Yeah.
16:47That actually is a bit of me.
16:51LAUGHTER
16:51That was banging.
16:52I like that.
16:53All right, let's sign this text.
16:54How would you sign the text?
16:56Er...
16:57I'd say, like, thank you, I'm so grateful.
17:00And then a flower, like a bouquet emoji, I use that a lot.
17:02Yeah.
17:03But I'm just a bit worried, because if this is going to, like...
17:05I'm so...
17:06Public figuas, they...
17:09Sometimes they won't do it if they're not paid.
17:11So...
17:11Then we should offer some money.
17:13I think we should put, like, PS, paid, of course.
17:16You know, like...
17:18If we end up using it, you will be very...
17:25In capitals, well-paid.
17:28Yeah, good.
17:29And then maybe just, like, a flower here?
17:31Yeah, nice.
17:32OK.
17:33So, shall we send this text, ladies and gentlemen?
17:36CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
17:36Along with the music, that text has gone!
17:41CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
17:42We will be finding out what videos we receive later on in the show.
17:49But one more time, for the amazing, isn't she incredible...
17:52Jane.
17:53Jane, ladies and gentlemen!
17:54CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
17:57It is now time to find out who is going to be tonight's
18:00unexpected star of the show!
18:05CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
18:06CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
18:08So, this is lovely Ruthie.
18:11Ruthie is 31 years old.
18:13She is a nursery worker from Manchester.
18:16Ruthie was born with a rare genetic condition
18:19called Treacher-Collins syndrome,
18:21and she was born deaf and hears
18:24with the help of a cochlear implant.
18:27From a young age, Ruthie loved to sing,
18:29and says that music helped her
18:31through some of the most difficult times in her childhood.
18:34She was nominated by her brother, Will,
18:36who's in the audience tonight,
18:38along with her mum, too.
18:39Hi, guys! Nice to see you!
18:42APPLAUSE
18:43Welcome.
18:45It's going to be an amazing night.
18:48So, Ruthie has only ever been to London once before,
18:51so she's never seen the sights.
18:54And she has never been on public transport in London,
18:58and she has certainly never been on the Tube.
19:01Ruthie is in London this weekend with her best friend Katie
19:04and thinks she is on a sight-seeing tour.
19:08Of course, it's all completely fake,
19:09and we should actually be able to see them live in Covent Garden
19:14right at this moment.
19:16So, there she is. That's Ruthie on the left with her friend.
19:19So, for the next part of the tour, they are going to need to catch a train.
19:23So, what we have done is we have built a fake tube station...
19:29LAUGHTER
19:30..behind this curtain.
19:32LAUGHTER
19:32So, bear with, and I will show you the train station.
19:35It's really extraordinary. You're going to love this.
19:37OK. Hold on!
19:38How are you? Hi. Nice to see you, guys.
19:41All right. Here we go.
19:43So, here we have the very amusingly named Wall Drop Road station.
19:49And what you will see also is we have currently frozen everybody
19:55until we activate them.
19:57So, we have some flower sellers here.
19:59We have some commuters.
20:01Excellent commuting.
20:03AirPods in. Very, very busy.
20:05Here's a gentleman on his phone.
20:08That's completely normal.
20:09Oh, I hope you can hear that.
20:12That is the sound of tube trains, and it's awesome.
20:16It sounds amazingly authentic.
20:18Paying with her phone.
20:20Here we have our ticket office.
20:21Now, this is a bit of fun.
20:23LAUGHTER
20:24This is a wanted person.
20:26This is a criminal.
20:27He's been spotted in the Wall Drop station many times,
20:31committing petty crime.
20:32So, maybe she'll notice that, maybe not.
20:35This is excellent as well. Look up here.
20:37So, this is obviously not Wall Drop station.
20:40But, you know, here comes the train.
20:43This is what's going to be happening when we're fooling her mind.
20:47So, when I click my fingers, let's open this station.
20:50Here we go.
20:51Hustle and bustle.
20:52There we go.
20:53So, we are ready.
20:56So, come with me to the train.
20:57Let's go.
20:58So, this is the route to the turnstiles.
21:03So, she's going to come down here.
21:05She's going to be with her tour party.
21:06She is going to be let in here.
21:09Hopefully, that'll work.
21:10She's going to pop over the other side.
21:13Then, these machines are going to break,
21:14and she is going to be stuck here.
21:16And guess what?
21:17You've seen the show before.
21:18All of you are behind here.
21:21There's going to be a really fun advert for a new show in town
21:26with a brand new star.
21:27It's going to end on her name.
21:28The wall is going to drop.
21:30And you're all going to go completely crazy.
21:33CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
21:36So, I don't actually know how to get back.
21:39Oh, shh!
21:46Fine.
21:47I'm going to come back and see you.
21:49Here we go.
21:49Oh, my God, I just got hit in the leg.
21:51OK, sit down.
21:54CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
21:55Looks good, right?
21:57Now, I'm going to look for a couple of people from the audience
22:01to help us.
22:02Surprise.
22:03Ruthie?
22:04So, yes, I like that sound.
22:05I like that little sound that you made of anxiety.
22:09LAUGHTER
22:11And I notice you're all very relaxed up there,
22:13because I'm clearly not going to come up there.
22:16LAUGHTER
22:16So, I'm looking for a busker.
22:18I'm going to ask a simple question.
22:20Is there anybody here who has had at least one...
22:26LAUGHTER
22:27..guitar lesson?
22:29Now, please feel free to give up anybody you might be sitting with.
22:35LAUGHTER
22:36Here we go.
22:37I've got good feelings about this guy.
22:40LAUGHTER
22:40You don't need to be good.
22:41The worse you are, the better the show is.
22:44LAUGHTER
22:46What song do you want?
22:47What's your name?
22:47Taylor.
22:48Oh, I like the opening guy there.
22:50He's just gone, what song do you want?
22:53LAUGHTER
22:55All right, let's see what we got.
22:56What do you want?
23:02What do you want?
23:04MUSIC PLAYS
23:05Here we did we go.
23:07CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
23:20CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
23:23We're not here to boost your career.
23:27We want to laugh at someone a bit average.
23:32Sorry, you want to both sing.
23:34Yes, you can play, she can sing.
23:36Excellent, here we go, let's see what we got.
23:39Don't be good.
23:48Get on with it!
23:52And a full time friend
23:54The monkey on your back
23:56Is the latest trend
23:58I don't see what anyone can see
24:01In anyone else
24:10I think, I think I want someone who sings really badly
24:14But I think, that was sweet, you sing really well in your suite.
24:17I want to, I want to, you sir!
24:19Hello mate!
24:21Hello mate!
24:22Are you alright?
24:23I'm not doing it.

24:25Oi, oi!
24:26Oi, oi Savaloi!
24:28You've got a bit of that?
24:29My old man's a dustman, is that right?
24:31Can you sing anything?
24:32Anything?
24:33The pressure's on?
24:34No.
24:34Is he alright?
24:35What can you sing?
24:37I can't sing much.
24:38He's a dad, he does lullabies.
24:40Go on, let's do a lullaby that you do to your daughter.
24:42I don't know why I said daughter.
24:44Why did I assume you had a daughter?
24:45It is a daughter.
24:47Yeah, it's from the way you lost your known things.
24:48So what, what do you, um, I'll do the jokes.
24:50So what do you...
24:52Sing a lullaby.
24:54Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
24:57Alright, fine, you're in.
24:59You can come and play the guitar.
25:01Come on, you're a duet.
25:04Come on.
25:05Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
25:11And what's your name?
25:12Ross.
25:12Ross.

25:16You go up, they're going to take you off.
25:18Well done.
25:20Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
25:21Alright.
25:23They're busking.
25:25Okay.
25:26Now I just need one more person
25:28who is going to be commuting
25:31and on a date.
25:35Alright.

25:51Here's one.
25:51Got him.
25:54What's your name in the white?
25:56What's your name?

26:06Come on, Barry.
26:08Married man, Buzz?
26:09I hope so.

26:13Ladies and gentlemen, please give it up for Barry, who's also going to be one of our commuters.
26:23Okay, Barry.

26:41Not your wife.
26:42So your wife is called?

26:45Yes, she is.
26:46Okay.
26:46Ooh, awkward.

28:06Tasha's an amazing inspiration to her.
28:08She also uses a cochlear implant.

33:47That is your mother.
33:49That is your family.
33:51Yeah, let me explain.
33:53Let's find out.
33:55It's all trial and error.
33:57Um, Rufi, do you have...
33:59Whoa! Goodness.
34:02Rufi, do you have any idea what's going on right now?
34:05No.

34:09I don't know what's going on.
34:10OK.
34:11Where do you think you are?
34:12In some sort of theatre.
34:15LAUGHTER
34:15This is the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane.
34:19You are not at the tube station.
34:22LAUGHTER

34:47that you have something in common with Tasha?
34:48What is that?
34:49Yeah, I've got a cochlear implant as well.
34:52Right.
34:52And she's been an inspiration to you?
34:54Yeah, massively, when I saw her on telly, as well.

35:00and we know that you have a passion.
35:04What's that, Rufi?
35:05I love to sing.
35:07And would it be a dream of yours to sing on a West End stage?
35:12Hmm?
35:15Now, I don't know what you think you might have just tripped onto,
35:19but this is a West End stage,
35:22and this is 2,000 people.
35:24Say hi.
35:27CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
35:28So, Rufi, tell us about your life a little bit.
35:31Yeah, so I was born with, like, Tucher-Coling syndrome,
35:33which is, like, a genetic condition.
35:36Just, like, affects facial features,
35:39not fully growing in, like, the womb and stuff.
35:41So, which causes deafness for me.
35:44Right.
35:46And I got a cochlear implant when I was eight, so...
35:48Right. Up to eight, what could you hear up to then?
35:50So, I had a headband, so it was, like, a digital sound.
35:53OK.
35:54And then when I got the cochlear implant, it was a lot better.
35:57Game-changing?
35:57Yeah. Amazing.
35:58Massive game-changer.
35:59Yeah.
36:00And that's when you discovered singing,
36:02and that's been a real outlet for you?
36:04Yeah, ever since the age of eight, like, non-stop singing.
36:07OK.
36:07So, yeah.
36:08All right, well, that's what this is all about,
36:10the Unexpected Star, giving people an incredible moment,
36:13a deserving moment, and a just special, special night.
36:16And that's why you've been nominated by your family,
36:18that's why you're here tonight.
36:20Crafty.
36:21LAUGHTER

37:30I lost myself in the song of the show,
37:34I've been wishing well
37:37Wish that I had someone to tell
37:41All these things I've done
37:46I did them for love
37:52I gave it all from the very start
37:58Laid by the moon
38:00Laid by what I had to
38:03So I still choose to do it for love
38:13Do you believe in all these feelings?
38:19Do you let it get to your heart?
38:23Cause I believe in all these feelings
38:29I can't help but do it for love
38:32And when all is said and done
38:37I'll do it for love
38:42If you're feeling incomplete
38:47Come and take a piece of me
38:50Cause I saved it for you
38:53I saved it for love
39:02Do you believe in all these feelings?
39:08Do you let them get to your heart?
39:12Do you let them get to your heart?
39:37Do you believe in what you're feeling?

45:43I'm a singer-songwriter.
45:46Who drafted that message?
45:48I need to know who drafted that.
45:51Because I need to know who I need to fight
45:52next time I come to London.

50:15It's Jade, ladies and gentlemen.
50:17Incredible.
50:18And thank you to her mum, Norma, and George.
50:26Earlier tonight, we surprised Rufy when she thought she was here
50:30to board a train for a tour of London.
50:32Since then, she's been busily rehearsing.
50:36Let's have a little look at how she's been getting on
50:39since that extraordinary surprise.
50:43I'm shocked.
50:45It took me a few seconds to even realise.
50:48It's mad, like crazy.
50:50How do you all, like, keep it a secret?
50:54I've got this massive adrenaline rush now.
50:57But, yeah, I know it's exciting.
51:03When I think I'm going to wake up.
51:07I'm quite shy and timid.
51:09And when I sing, I'm just a different person.
51:13Everybody asks the question, how can you sing when you're deaf?
51:16You have to have, like, new hearing aids every so often.
51:19And it's like restarting your hearing almost,
51:22cos you have to get used to that sound again.
51:24But with being musical from a young age,
51:27I think that's helped massively.
51:29It just became natural.
51:31This song's really special to me,
51:32because it's about, like, strength
51:34and it's showing how much I've overcome.
51:37Having grown up with hearing loss
51:39and being able to still sing and showing people
51:42you can do what you can do, even with a disability.
51:44I just want to make people happier, like, inspire people.
51:48Like, that's always been my goal in singing.
51:55Ladies and gentlemen,
51:57please welcome tonight's unexpected star of the show.
52:00Give her all your love.

52:42I'm criticized, but all your bullets ricochet.
52:51You shoot me down, but I get up.
52:58Well, you're gone, nothing to lose.
53:02Fire away, fire away.
53:07Ricochet, you take your hand.
53:11Fire away, fire away.
53:14You shoot me down, what I hope for.

54:05You're talking loud, not saying much.
54:11Stoneheart, machine done.
54:14Crying at the ones who won.
54:19Stoneheart is bulletproof blood.
