00:00ATV MC $1,000 going to him in the privateer payout there'll be an
00:05additional thousand if he can go through to the main event. Talk about experience
00:09Justin has that. We'll have to get off this gate and see how tricky his track is and
00:14where track position is. Yeah the jump is gonna be super important to James with
00:19Justin being on that very inside. Justin Hill narrowly missed out in his
00:25heat. That was a hard fought battle so to Mitchell Harrison. Here we go 450 last
00:30chance qualifier. Hill to the inside and he's gonna come out in front. Great
00:35start by Justin. I believe in that heat race he might have been able to get
00:39around Vince. I believe he was faster but we know how difficult Vince is to pass a
00:44lot of experience between both those guys but Justin did exactly what he needed
00:47to. Grant Harlan there in the second position he got a great exit of that
00:53first corner and that's what helped him get into the position where he's at.
00:56Oh Justin Hill almost goes down. Look at how deep that rut's getting. Well that's what I was
01:00talking about and you're gonna notice it in these main events. Guy's gonna start
01:04hopping out of these ruts early. They're either gonna go to the right or the left
01:08to get on some less deep ruts. Yeah you can even see it in that split lane. They're
01:16going to the inside of the inside there to start to get those ruts and this corner
01:21starts going away. Gotta keep changing up and it continued for the rest of the night. Grant Harland
01:27who runs second in this race. He was the rider that went down in his heat. Meanwhile flying
01:34through on the inside Mitchell Harrison. That was a close one. With some massive speed. I bet
01:40that scared Mitchell when he made that pass because you want to spare spec that happened. And
01:46Messi as well. Inside look at this Mitchell Harrison on the inside of Zach Williams.
01:54He is a man on a mission at the moment. Oh he ain't playing around. He's making some money moves
01:59but
01:59that's how you have to do. That's what sometimes you have to do in these last
02:03chance qualifiers. But I mean you think of a guy like Mitchell Harrison. He's got the creds
02:08to be able to do that ride like that in the last chance qualifier. Will, who you got?
02:14Joey Savacci, master of the heats, Ricky. Joey, back to back second places in heats last weekend.
02:21And honestly the entire season when we reflect on the whole thing just it's getting stronger and
02:26stronger. You're back healthy now. I'm clearly loving the Daytona track. So what's the plan here
02:31for the main event? I mean if we can get another good start put ourselves in a position to succeed.
02:37The track's going to be tricky tonight. It's a track that if it's freshly groomed like it was for
02:43the heat race it's pretty simple. But I know come main event time when there's a lot of laps being
02:48turned on it it's not going to be so friendly. So tonight's going to be all about just trying to
02:52get
02:52off the gate. Put ourselves up front. Give ourselves a chance to do well. And then from there really
02:57just need to minimize mistakes. Understand when the risk is necessary to take it. And just kind of
03:04kind of see where it takes us. That's something that I've been a little bit better at this year is
03:08letting it come to me and making the adjustments on the fly. So you know my quadlock Honda has been
03:13really good. And my guy Matt at Active Ride, we have ourselves in a great place. So at this point
03:20it's up to me to to go do my job and try to perform. Thank you so much Joey. Everybody's
03:25behind you and
03:25the team and what you guys are doing this year. So congratulations on the whole season. Thank you.
03:29Yeah Joey's looking good. Will you need to tell him I changed his last name from Sivachi to Fosachi
03:34to when he was looking at that heat race. Keep it up. Hey look at Justin Starling here on the
03:39124.
03:40He wants that bonus $1,000. If he can get into the top four, if he can get past Scott
03:44Meschi here,
03:45that $1,000 is going to be his. Nice move. Nice move right there, R.C. You can see
03:51Messi get stuck in that rut right there. Oh, tries to go up the inside. Make the move back.
03:59Oh, this is going to be fun to see how this split lane plays out.
04:04Starling going to have the advantage on the inside here. Oh, a nice pass. As a rotter,
04:11you got to be so disciplined in that area because you want to, when you see the guy go past
04:15you,
04:15you want to get on the gas and it's easy to make a mistake. Both those guys did it,
04:19but Meschi was able to get around them.
04:23And then Starling comes back and then they're going to be right there with Mitchell Harrison,
04:28who by the way is coming off his best result of the year with a 16th in Arlington. So he
04:34wants to
04:34keep that positive momentum going as well. Well, I mean, these guys have pulled right up to the rear
04:39tire of it. Oh, wow. Scott Meschi on the inside on the 411. That was a fantastic pass.
04:47Oh, he can hold it. No, Meschi, if I notice, he's been running these insides, these flat parts
04:53really quickly. That's how he was able to get back on Starling there. So great job, JT.
04:58Yeah, and for Starling, he got a late start to this championship. He switched to Yamaha for 2026,
05:03was trying to get comfortable on and trying to figure out this new motorcycle.
05:07So he's really kind of new to the settings here. He's going to try to make another move and get
05:11in a qualifying position, but he can tell that extra time that he worked on getting right has really
05:16paid off because this might be two for two for him. Yeah. Look at this. Scott Meschi's not willing to
05:19give in on it, though. He hasn't had a main event in a year. Arlington last year for Scott Meschi,
05:25so that's why he's fighting so doggedly. This is a copy and a paste from the last lap. Yeah.
05:30I mean, Meschi's been watching Cooper Webb. He was like, I'm going to shorten the racetrack up. Yeah. You can
05:35see it,
05:35but that's the best part about Daytona. This guy's figured out blinds and he's able to
05:39keep Justin Starling behind him as he comes up short there. He closed this door because Justin
05:45really quick right here. He heads up riding by Justin. Knew Meschi was going to go to that inside there.
05:54Coming up in our all-access segment, we're going to tell you a little bit more about the Starling family.
06:00Pretty cool story. So stick around for that as we follow this final transfer position story
06:06that has been pretty eventful. Scott Meschi has shown how serious he is about going through to the main
06:13event. Oh man, that's such a tough position to be in through the sand. Great point of view
06:19with that drone footage of how hard it is to see the line that you're taking when the guy in
06:24front of you
06:25is just absolutely pelting you with roost. So it's no surprise that some of these guys might get
06:31cross-rutted up because of that. Now tickets to this year's SMX Playoffs are now on sale at

07:03Justin Starling takes that, but this is the race leader. Justin Hill, after narrowly missing out
07:08in his heat, has led right from the drop of the gate. Got a brilliant start. Went through that tight
07:15right
07:15hand to that first turn and then took off. No surprise right here. Justin, one of the most
07:21talented guys, him and his brother, Josh Hill, figured he might, if he got to start, he shouldn't
07:26have any problem. But, you know, going back to Scott Meschi, man, I'm so impressed that this guy and his
07:32line selection, he hopped out of that rut that Ricky was talking about in that off-camper and
07:36really kind of put this race together. I mean, don't forget, I mean, this guy won a divisional
07:42championship for Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki. And he's got style for days. Yeah,
07:48he's got incredible bike, bike skill. You watch him like when he's just having fun.
07:55Oh, oh, look at this. It's not over yet for that final, that fourth and final position.
08:03He's got half-sided at rut. There you go. Hopped out. Gonna probably run that inside. So,
08:08Justin can't do anything. He's gonna have to go for a wholesale move, but he ain't gonna be able
08:12to even do that if you don't get closer. Top box. Justin Hill gets the win. There's been some big
08:18names in the LCQs this year, like Aaron Plessinger and Shane McElrath. That's Justin's second win in the
08:24LCQ, by the way. There we go. Scott Meschi, first main in a year. And that was hard fought and
08:31hard earned.
08:33That was awesome right there. Great job, man. Look at how much that man. Awesome stuff.
08:41Battle of the race was for that fourth and final transfer position.
