00:28and that's what helped him get into the position where he's at, oh, Justin Hill almost goes down.
00:32Look at him, take that ruts getting.
00:34Well, that's what I was talking about, and you're gonna notice it in these main events,
00:37guys gonna start hopping out of these ruts early, they're either gonna go to the right or the left
00:42to get on some less deep ruts.
00:48Yeah, you can even see it in that split lane, they're going to the inside of the inside there,
00:52just starting to get those ruts, and those corner stars going away,
00:56got to keep chained it up, and then continue for the rest of the night.
01:00Grant Harlan, who runs second in this race, he was the rider that went down in his heat.
01:06Meanwhile, flying through on the inside, Mitchell Harrison.

01:13I bet that scared Mitchell, when he made that pass, because you weren't expecting that to happen.

01:51Joey, back-to-back second places in heats last weekend in this,
01:55and honestly, the entire season, when we reflect on the whole thing,
01:58just it's getting stronger and stronger.

02:02I'm clearly loving the Daytona track, so what's the plan here for the main event?
02:05Well, I mean, if we can get another good start, put ourself in a position to succeed.
02:10The track's going to be tricky tonight.
02:14It's a track that, if it's freshly groomed like it was for the heat race, it's pretty simple,
02:19but I know coming into bedtime when there's a lot of laps being turned on it,
02:23it's not going to be so friendly,
02:24so tonight's going to be all about just trying to get off the gate,
02:27put ourself up front, give ourself a chance to do well,
02:29and then from there, really just need to minimize mistakes,
02:33understand when the risk is necessary to take it
02:37and just kind of see where it takes us.
02:39That's something that I've been a little bit better at this year
02:41is letting it come to me and making the adjustments on the fly.
02:45So, you know, my quadlock Honda has been really good,
02:48and my guy, Matt, at Active Ride, we have ourselves in a great place.
02:52So, at this point, it's up to me to go do my job and try to perform.

03:16If he can get into the top four, if he can get past Scott Meschi here,

03:24You can see Meschi gets stuck in that rut right there.

03:33This is going to be fun to see how this split lane plays out.

03:44As a rider, you've got to be so disciplined in that area
03:47because you want to, when you see the guy go past you,
03:49you want to get on the gas, and it's easy to make a mistake.
03:52Both those guys did it, but Meschi was able to get around them.
03:57And then Starling comes back,
04:00and then they're going to be right there with Mitchell Harrison,
04:02who, by the way, is coming off his best result of the year
04:05with a 16th in Arlington.
04:07So he wants to keep that positive momentum going as well.
04:10Well, I mean, these guys have pulled right up to the rear tire.
04:13Oh, wow, Scott Meschi on the inside on the 411.
04:17That was a fantastic pass.
04:21Yeah, and hold it.
04:22No, Meschi, if I notice, he's been running these insides,
04:26these flat parts really quickly.
04:28That's how he was able to get back Starling there.
04:30So great job, JT.
04:32Yeah, and for Starling, he got a late start to this championship.
04:35He switched to Yamaha for 2026,
04:37was trying to get comfortable on it,
04:39trying to figure out this new motorcycle.
04:41So he's really kind of new to the settings here.
04:44He's going to try to make another move
04:45and get into qualifying position,
04:46but he can tell that extra time
04:48that he worked on getting right has really paid off.
04:50He's hiking two for two for him.
04:52Scott Meschi's not willing to give in on it, though.
04:54He hasn't had a main event in a year.
04:56Arlington last year for Scott Meschi.
04:59So that's why he's fighting so doggedly.
