00:00Kayvon Thibodeau is signed for one year, like we said, and will he be back with the team next year?
00:05You know, I would say the odds are no.
00:06I wrote about that in Post Sports Plus this past week at the New York Post,
00:10that if he has a great year, he will go into free agency and command a lot of money,
00:15and the Giants probably won't pay that, already having Brian Burns and having probably at that point,
00:19hopefully, they hope to re-sign Abdul Carter for big money.
00:22If he has a bad year, there's no reason to bring him back.
00:25I mean, he has an average year, maybe he comes back, but the odds are maybe he doesn't.
00:28So I get it, this could be Kayvon's last year with the Giants, so why not try to trade him?
00:33Well, they can look.
00:34Joe Shane, the general manager, said last year at the trade deadline,
00:38more teams called about Kayvon than any other player.
00:41That makes sense.
00:43They got no kind of deal that they thought was interesting, so they didn't take it.
00:48I believe this year, and I've been told that unless there is a knock-you-out-of-the-park offer
00:52for Kayvon Thibodeau,
00:54he's not going to be dealt.
00:55I don't think John Harbaugh wants to get rid of him.
00:57I think John Harbaugh wants to use that three-headed monster as edge rushers to benefit the defense, not to
01:03hurt the defense.
