00:02The Vice Chancellor of CT University, Dr. Nitin Tandon, has been removed following a major row
00:08involving Kashmiri Muslim students. The controversy began when students alleged that proper
00:13sehri and iftar arrangements were not made in the university mess during Ramzan. When they
00:18approached the administration, they claimed the VC used abusive language and even threatened to
00:23cancel their admissions and expel them from hostels. A video of the exchange went viral
00:27after Ilteja Mufti, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mohbuba Mufti,
00:32shared it and tagged Punjab CM Bhagwanth Maan demanding action. Amid growing pressure,
00:39the university terminated Dr. Tandon on the 24th of February 2026. A high-level inquiry has been
00:45ordered and VC Simran Gill has taken charge. The investigation is now underway.
