00:00I've been here for 35 years and it's the worst storm I've experienced.
00:03Not the most snow. I think we had more snow twice, but never this kind of wind.
00:07Because they say it's like hurricane winds with a blizzard.
00:11And we have a lot of trees here.
00:15Some of these here, but I have trees close to my house.
00:18We have them close to the road, kind of probably close to the power lines.
00:22So I had a nice hedge of pines that were along the road near my house.
00:27And I heard a bang, but I thought it was just a limb somewhere.
00:30And then when I finally did go out, I could see it was leaning on my roof.
00:34I lucked out because my car I pulled forward towards the end of my driveway.
00:39If I hadn't, I'm pretty sure it would have been crushed.
00:41And then it hit just right that it didn't break a window or something.
00:46The lines were dragging just a couple feet from the ground and were tangled in the trees.
00:51So I was surprised some people came out today to assess it.
00:54But they were from out of state, oh, Western Mass in Connecticut.
00:58And they looked at the tree on the house and they called their boss and they waited.
01:02And he said, you can't do it.
01:03My neighbor, I don't know super well, but he came over last night.
01:07He's a builder.
01:08He came over with his little excavator and cleaned my driveway.
01:11And it just meant so much because I'm alone and it's a lot of shoveling and it's heavy.
01:16They say New Englanders sometimes keep to themselves,
01:19but I feel like a lot of people stick together, which is nice.
